The Sorcerer Hero: Deku

Chapter twenty-six: The raid part three- The Symbol of Peace versus The Bloody Valkyrie

The raid that the heroes were conducting on the Shie Hassaikai compound was only going as well as it did because help was called in and said help came in the form of the top two pro heroes in the country, with one of them bringing along a bunch of sidekicks. The raid team encountered a few more of the League of Villains's undead looking quirk-forged monsters, and some of the lesser ones were handled safely enough by the police and lesser pro heroes.

But on the two occasions since the raid team made its way into the Shie Hassaikai compound where they encountered a Black Paladin, it took All Might and Endeavor to take a Black Paladin down. Even so, on each occasion at least two lesser people in the raid team ended up getting killed by the Black Paladin before the Flame Hero and the Symbol of Peace are able to bring it down for good; the second Black Paladin even killed one of Endeavor's male sidekicks.

As a police officer shot the heads of those slain by the Black Paladin that was just defeated (it had become procedure to shoot the heads of those killed by at least the Black Paladins), Aizawa bashed in the head of a skeleton that charged at him. Aizawa, after he vanquished the animated skeleton, arched a wry eyebrow of piqued interest at the expandable baton he was using, having gotten it from Shinso who owns it. "...I need to get one of my own," Aizawa remarked.

"I think we've gotten most of the hideout cleared," Sir Nighteye called out, "We just need to handle a few more floors and this place will be emptied out of the horrors left behind by the League of Villains." Gently shaking his head, Sir Nighteye went on, "I still can't believe that the Shie Hassaikai had teamed up with the League of Villains. This will make dealing with the now combined forces of two villainous groups infinitely harder for us and the other heroes."

All Might scowled bitterly. The League of Villains were reported to have fallen on hard times due to losing the backing of All For One upon the death of that most horrific of villains. But forming a sort of alliance with the Shie Hassaikai would give the League of Villains access to some funding, letting them continue with their evil. Evil in the form of their undead looking quirk-forged monsters that had taken more lives than what should have been permitted.

Given that no lives were permitted to be taken by evil, the League of Villains crossed the line the moment they first took a life.

"At least we don't have to worry about any of the first year students from U.A. getting killed," All Might called out, "It would be a poor showing on our part if we let young heroes with so much of a future ahead of them get snuffed out before they can realize that future!"

"I'd rather we would have sent back ALL hero students with all due respect," Fat Gum spoke up, "No offense to you, Tamaki. I know you're capable, but you still are a student."

"I wholeheartedly agree with you on how all hero students should have been sent back," Tamaki spoke up, showing no shame in showing how scared he was. Tamaki was jealous of Nejire, who got to wait outside with Ryukyu who was in her dragon form.

"We need to do what we can to clear out this house of horrors," Endeavor called out, "Then once we confirm it's cleared we raze it to oblivion!"

Sir Nighteye nodded in silent agreement. Things here today were NOT going as he expected. Instead of confronting a bunch of human thugs with quirks, the heroes and their police allies were delving into a dungeon full of undead-looking quirk forged monsters made by the League of Villains, who had very clearly allied with the Shie Hassaikai. As the heroes and police ran through the Shie Hassaikai compound to clear it out, the salaryman hero worried about what laid further on ahead.

Hopefully nothing worse than a Black Paladin.

As the raid went on, the heroes and police were caught off guard in a pincer attack that saw some of the zombie looking quirk-forged monsters come from one end and the skeleton looking quirk-forged monsters come from the other end. Additionally, Fat Gum and Tamaki got separated from the rest of the group when a trap activated and dragged the both of them away, denying the heroes and police of one of their best tanks.

The police shot at the heads of the zombie looking quirk-forged monsters, with heroes that could attack at a range helping by firing attacks at the heads of those monsters. As for the skeletons, All Might and other close combat types rushed in to smash them up. Blunt force attacks looked to be more effective on the skeletons than piercing and slashing attacks, as Aizawa made skillful use of the expandable baton he borrowed from Shinso.

All Might, however, still took out the most skeletons overall with his sheer might and physical strength, throwing Smash after Smash after Smash. When the last of the undead looking quirk-forged monsters were slain, one of the police officers called out, "Anyone hurt?"

"We can't account for Fat Gum and Suneater as they were separated from us," Endeavor called out, "But aside from that everyone here is unhurt."

"From what I'm seeing," Bubble Girl said as she took out a map and looked at it while crossing off stuff, "We've only got a few rooms on this floor and the rooms on the floor below us before we have the entire place cleared out."

"Hopefully there are no more Black Paladins on this floor and none on the last floor," Aizawa remarked dryly, "Things are getting too heated here." Aizawa turned to look at both Endeavor and All Might, the only two with the raid team capable of taking down Black Paladins. Aizawa due to being privy to the secret of All Might as he's on the primary U.A. staff is aware that All Might is working on a timer, and Aizawa was able to tell that Endeavor was starting to get overheated.

It would be bad if both of them went out of commission before the place was cleared and there's at least one more Black Paladin to deal with, especially since Fat Gum and Tamaki got separated from the rest of the group. Luckily for the raid team, the rest of the floor they were only only had a few of the weak undead looking quirk-forged monsters, so Aizawa told All Might and Endeavor to conserve themselves for the last floor as much as possible.

"We also need to find Fat Gum and Suneater," said Endeavor, "We can't leave until they're found!"

"Aww geez," Mirio said, "I hope that Tamaki and his hero mentor will be fine."

...

Fat Gum and Tamaki found themselves facing off against a number of Nazarick Guarders (not that either of them knew those monsters were called Nazarick Guarders) but not too much to totally overwhelm them. There was also, to Tamaki's horror, a Black Paladin but it was waiting in the back of the room and made no effort to join the fray. Perhaps it would only do so if all of the Nazarick Guarders went down first.

Despite the Guarders outnumbering Fat Gum and Tamaki four to one, the BMI Hero and his intern were able to handle them fairly well. Tamaki attacked at a distance by tripping the Nazarick Guarders up, and Fat Gum was able to tank all hits he took, storing up the kinetic energy within his big blubbery body. Within short order, all of the Nazarick Guarders had gone down, leaving only one enemy left for Fat Gum and Tamaki.

The Black Paladin let out a roar that sounded as if the Black Paladin felt Fat Gum and Tamaki had passed some manner of test to prove themselves worthy, then it charged right at the pair with the clear intent to fight them. "I'll keep its focus, Tamaki," Fat Gum said, "You strike it along its flanks and rear!"

"Got it," Tamaki said, still scared as all get out but knowing full well that the Black Paladin had to go down. The Black Paladin swung its sword at Fat Gum, but the BMI hero caught its wrist and was able to hold the blade back. Its sword arm caught, the Black Paladin tried to swing its shield into Fat Gum. It scored some hits, but it was just building up more and more kinetic energy for Fat Gum to make use of later.

While Fat Gum held the Black Paladin's sword arm and took blunt strikes from the shield, Tamaki struck it as hard as possible along its legs and back, using his quirk to manifest animal parts to help him do whatever damage he could. After a few moments, the Black Paladin let out a roar that to the heroes sounded more annoyed than pissed, and then it dissipated into smoke before flying around and reforming right along Tamaki's right.

With a roar, the Black Paladin swung its sword at Tamaki, but he was able to use his quirk to manifest a hard clam shell that took the strike but cracked a bit. As the Black Paladin took pause at Tamaki surviving its strike, Fat Gum called out, "Oi! Big, ugly, and evil! Leave my intern alone!" The Black Paladin turned to look at Fat Gum, only to see the once super obese pro hero now slender with some muscle definition.

But the skinny Fat Gum's fist that was pulled back glowed with power, and Fat Gum rushed the Black Paladin and struck it in the chest with his glowing fist, bashing right through it and actually destroying the Black Paladin. With that, the last of the undead looking quirk-forged monsters that were in the room were destroyed. Seeing as the coast was clear, Fat Gum and Tamaki both fell over onto their butts and collapsed.

"We're... we're both spent, Tamaki," Fat Gum said as he panted to catch his breath, "We're not gonna be any more use in the raid, I'm afraid."

"I just hope no more of those undead looking quirk-forged monsters come in while we're both too spent to fight back," Tamaki said, "We'll be killed if that does happen."

As both guys caught their breaths, Fat Gum said, "The first thing I'm gonna do after we get the hell out of here, assuming that we survive, is fatten myself back up. I'm useless if I'm not living large."

Panting a bit, Tamaki said, "I can use a bite to eat too. Though not as much as I'm sure you're going to be getting." Fat Gum let out a bit of a chuckle as he fell over on his back and just laid there on the floor. He and his intern had won and both of them are still alive, but they both felt that they had cut it really close. They also both felt that if more enemies showed up while they were down like that, then their dooms would be assured.

...Little did either of them know that they were being watched by someone who not only was interested in conducting an experiment with Fat Gum, but saw new details that made him want to conduct said experiment even more. Because of that, both Fat Gum and Tamaki were going to be allowed to get through the raid alive.

On the final floor of the Shie Hassaikai compound, the heroes and police were surprised by the sheer number of undead looking quirk-forged monsters. There were even three Black Paladins in the mix, which All Might and Endeavor immediately went for. They took a while to go down despite the top two pro heroes in the country wailing on them, but the trio of Black Paladins soon went down, leaving only the lesser undead looking quirk-forged monsters.

But there were a LOT of them. The ones that looked like zombies were shot in the head, either by police guns or ranged quirk attacks, while the ones that looked like skeletons were fought more up close. As the heroes fought, Sir Nighteye was fighting off a Nazarick Old Guarder, throwing his heavy stamps with skill and precision. But the salaryman hero was almost struck in his blind spot by a Nazarick Elder Guarder.

"SMASH!" Mirio called out as he threw a staggering punch at the Nazarick Elder Guarder that was close to striking Sir Nighteye. The salaryman hero was saved by his intern, but right away he saw that said intern was panting with exhaustion.

"Mirio, will you be alright?" Sir Nighteye asked.

Flexing his arms in a reassuring manner, Mirio went on, "There's no need to worry about me, sir! I got plenty of steam in the tank!" Mirio was clearly putting on a brave face, he was clearly exerting himself too much. Sir Nighteye noted how Mirio shouldn't have been this exerted, even with what all the heroes and police have faced.

But there was no time to worry about that, especially as Aizawa pointed out something he saw once all of the Black Paladins went down. "Hey, there's a dome of swirling black and purple energy over there," Aizawa said as he pointed out what he just said had appeared.

Seeing that no big undead looking quirk-forged monsters left, All Might said, "I'll go check it out! Endeavor, can you stick around here to help take out the rest of the monsters here?"

Scowling that he was being left on cleanup duty, Endeavor remarked, "Fine. But I'm joining you as soon as all of the trash here is cleaned up."

"It's all I ask," All Might said before he turned around and zoomed right through the dome of swirling black and purple energy.

...

When All Might appeared through the dome of swirling black and purple energy, he found himself in a room approximately as big as the one he was previously in, but it was a wide and clear single square area. Additionally, whereas the previous area was more or less swarming with enemies, this new area that the Symbol of Peace found himself in had a grand total of one entity waiting there for someone to come in and say hello.

All Might was actually surprised by the girl waiting in the middle of the room he now found himself in; she was fair skinned, with piercing red eyes and white hair that he saw wasn't fully kept back by her red armor helmet, a helmet that matched the rest of her red, winged armor. She also wielded a unique looking lance like weapon. All Might felt he had about fifteen minutes max left in his strong form before he ran out of time for the day.

He hoped that he could end things here before his time came to an end.

Taking a step forward, All Might said to the girl before him, "That's an interesting outfit that you're wearing, young lady. That weapon you got also looks a bit too dangerous for one as young as you to be handling. Why don't you let me take it off of your hands?"

"I'd tell you that I would kill you if you so much as try to touch my Spuit Lance," Shalltear Bloodfallen said to All Might, her expression unchanging, "But that would be a moot point as I'm going to be killing you regardless."

All Might was getting vibes from the girl before him that, despite how young she looked, she was at least as dangerous as All For One at his peak. Shalltear then took a stance for battle. "Tall and buff male with blonde hair," Shalltear said, "You must be All Might."

All Might, despite how his opponent looked no older than a U.A. first year, found himself assuming a stance for battle as well. Was it the menacing aura she was exuding? "I see you know who I am," All Might said, "But then again I am Japan's number one hero. I don't suppose you'd care to give me your name, young lady?"

"Why should I tell my name to someone who's going to die before the morning is over?" Shalltear replied, her tone so casual and matter of factly that it alarmed All Might to a degree, told him that the girl before him was going to be at least as difficult to fight as All For One.

Taking the initiative, All Might rushed forward towards Shalltear with his right fist pulled back to deal a devastating blow. "Then you will go down as a nameless villainess!" All Might declared as he got close enough to Shalltear to swing his mighty fist at her, "Detroit Smash!"

"Greater Teleportation."

Shalltear vanished from All Might's line of sight before his fist even came close to striking at her, swooshing through empty air. All Might then let out a pained cry as something slashed against his muscled back, making him jump away and see that Shalltear had appeared behind him and slashed at him with her Spuit Lance. "Wow, you actually survived a basic attack," Shalltear said, her casual and matter of factly tone not changing in the slightest, "Maybe you will be a bit of fun."

The Symbol of Peace was putting his guard up even more. This mystery girl before him had not only dodged his attack with great ease, but then she struck at him with an attack that she boasted should have been sufficient on its own to kill him despite being what she said was a basic attack. All Might was figuring that this girl might be even more of a threat than All For One, despite having only some sort of teleportation quirk.

But All Might wasn't going to give up. Not until things end here one way or the other. And if things are to end here with All Might's own end, then he won't go out with a whimper, but rather with as big and grand of a smash as he could muster with what embers of One For All that he still had left in his body. Ignoring the stinging and bleeding wound across his back, All Might assumed a stance for battle again, intending to give the girl before him his all.

"...Young Togata..." All Might thought as he braced himself for what he was starting to feel would be his final fight. "...If I should fall here, I'm leaving the rest to you. You're next."

Back outside where the other heroes and the police were still fighting, they were starting to get the numbers of the undead looking quirk-forged monsters down. But there was still a great deal of those monsters left, and the effort to push them back became harder when Endeavor had to be given time to cool off, as well as the sidekicks helping Endeavor to cool off. This made the others have to fight harder to push back the remaining undead looking quirk-forged monsters.

Aizawa, vanquishing another skeleton with the expandable baton he borrowed from Shinso, called out, "Hey Endeavor! Are you ready yet?!"

"He's still cooling off, Eraserhead!" Burnin called out as she struck away a skeleton with her fiery hair while two other sidekicks of Endeavor helped the Flame Hero cool down faster.

Scowling, Aizawa turned his attention back to the fighting. He used his capture weapon to pull away a skeleton that was coming up on Bubble Girl's blind spot, pulling that monster to him so he could bash its skull in with the expandable baton. On the one occasion he fought one of the zombie looking quirk-forged monsters, Aizawa saw stabbing it even in vital spots did little if any, but strikes to the head that were sufficient enough were able to do the deed.

Impaling the heads of the zombie looking quirk-forged monsters, or bashing their heads in with the expandable baton, were the go to methods Aizawa had come up with for dealing with the animated corpses. And bashing heads worked wonders with the skeletons. As such, Aizawa figured that he was going to be getting a lot of mileage out of the weapon he had borrowed from Shinso.

Aizawa, assuming he got out of things alive here, was totally going to ask Shinso where he got the expandable baton from so Aizawa can get one of his own. Aizawa was getting a dreading feeling that there was going to be more of these undead looking quirk-forged monsters, especially given the fact that the Shie Hassaikai have teamed up with the League of Villains, so it was best to be as ready for it as possible.

As the heroes and their police allies were continuing to fight the undead looking quirk-forged monsters, one of the police officers was almost struck by a Nazarick Elder Guarder, but Mirio was able to rush in to save the officer. Using Permeation, Mirio slipped through all of the fighting to reach the officer to save him, going faster than anyone could have expected out of even the top hero candidate student among U.A.'s hero course.

When he reached where the officer was being threatened by the Nazarick Elder Guarder, Mirio swung his right fist at the undead's face, making just the necessary parts of himself solid to still keep himself safe while also slugging the Elder Guarder right in the face and sending it reeling. When he had struck the undead looking quirk-forged monster away from the police officer, Mirio let out a heroic and triumphant cry of, "POW-"

*SCLORCH*

"AAAAHHHRRRUUUGGGHHH!"

Mirio's heroic cry was cut off when he loosed a pained cry; when he struck away the Elder Guarder with what all power he could muster, his right arm burst from how much power was in it. Blood and bits of flesh had flown off and out, leaving Mirio's right arm looking like it was torn up somewhat by being thrown through a garbage disposal in someone's sink. Mirio had even lost both his right pinky finger and right thumb.

Hearing the pained cry of his intern, Sir Nighteye turned and saw, to his horror, what had happened to the blonde haired buff boy. "Mirio!" Sir Nighteye called out, "Are you okay?!"

"My arm just exploded!" Mirio cried out, barely able to brace himself against the pain, "I think that I used too much power to strike that police officer who was almost hit by one of the monsters!"

Sir Nighteye, ignoring all thoughts for his own well being, tried to rush in to get Mirio out of there and to safety. However, another Nazarick Elder Guarder came in and struck Sir Nighteye down. That strike surprisingly didn't kill the salaryman hero. But he was stunned and prone, and the second attack from that specific Elder Guarder finished the job.

Mirio, having seen what happened, was able to momentarily forget his own pain and cry out for his pro hero mentor. "SIR NIGHTEYE!" Mirio cried, too distracted by the grief of seeing his pro hero mentor slain, as well as his own physical pain coming back through. All of that distracting Mirio led to the lone Nazarick Master Guarder that was present going in and impaling Mirio through his back, the head of its spear bursting out through Mirio's chest, piercing Mirio's heart along the way.

As the fatally wounded hero student collapsed, the Master Guarder, uncaring as it is an undead, merely yanked its weapon free so it could go after the next human it set its eyes on to kill. It saw that Bubble Girl was distracted, so it went right for her. But a length of capture weapon wrapped around the Master Guarder's spear, pulled it back but not disarming the undead. The Master Guarder turned to look to see who it was that was trying to take its weapon away, and saw that it was Aizawa although it didn't care (or know) who Aizawa was.

"You..." Aizawa snarled, "...you MONSTER!" Aizawa tried yanking the spear from the Master Guarder's grip, but it would not let go. Instead, it let Aizawa pull it in closer to him. But that was the biggest mistake it made, as Endeavor who just finished cooling down enough got back into the action and blasted the Master Guarder with enough fire to kill it. The Elder Guarders that were still present were also vanquished, leaving only the weak pop monsters.

As Endeavor and his sidekicks dealt with the pop monsters, it gave the others time to pull away the bodies of Sir Nighteye and Mirio. "N-No..." Bubble Girl said as she began to cry, "...Centipeder was already killed during the raid... and now Sir Nighteye and... and Mirio too..."

Aizawa glared at the dome of swirling black and purple energy that All Might jumped into. "...The villains behind this are going to pay for this," Aizawa snarled, pissed to see another student slain by the evil of the League of Villains, "Even if we have to take them down with us to make it happen."

One of the police officers looked to the dome of swirling black and purple energy that All Might jumped into. "Well if anyone can bring any villain to their knees, it'd be All Might." Those who heard that police officer all nodded in agreement; there was simply no possibility of so much as picturing All Might losing to anyone in a fight.

...

"GGGAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

All Might was pierced by Shalltear's Spuit Lance, and right in his old wound no less. In fact, from the looks of it, All Might could have sworn that Shalltear (he still doesn't know her name) was aiming for that spot specifically, as if she knew that it was a weak spot. All Might was able to recover and get back, but he was keeping wary of the armored girl before him. To his horror (and mild disgust), the Symbol of Peace saw Shalltear raise her weapon to her mouth and lick his blood that was on it.

"Thank goodness I passed One For All onto Young Mirio already," All Might thought, "Although I would never will the transfer to the girl before me, even if I still had that power."

Shalltear looked to All Might, saw the horrified and disgusted look on his face. She responded with a look of piqued, curious confusion. "...What?" Shalltear asked the Symbol of Peace, "You never saw a vampire before?"

"Vampire?" All Might said, "The League of Villains can now make undead looking quirk-forged monsters that resemble vampires?"

Shalltear remembered having been told by Lord Ainz that the humans of the second New World all think that the undead from Nazarick were monsters made via the use of quirks and the dark science of this world, and that she had to play along with it to help keep the second New Worlders in the dark. "...Yes, yes they can," Shalltear said, "And you're looking at the final perfected form of the new breed that's going to be rolled out starting soon. Although I am the only one of my level of quality thus far." Shalltear gave a smugly amused smirk to All Might. "What do you think?"

All Might was beyond mad that the legacy left behind by the late All For One was not only continuing to do evil, but the evil it was doing, was getting up to doing, made most of what All For One had done in the past look tame. This girl... this... this vampire... All Might knew that she had to be taken down, even if doing so would end up costing him his life. With the blood he was losing, he figured that he was most likely going to die anyway.

...But he'll be damned if he doesn't go out swinging. All Might pulled his right fist back, channeled as much of what power he still had left into it, then rushed at Shalltear before swinging at her with all of his strong, powerful might. As he swung at his opponent, All Might loosed a bellowing cry, a cry that denoted the name of the attack he was using, the most powerful move that the number one hero of Japan had in his arsenal.

"UNITED STATES OF SMASH!"

"Einherjar."

As All Might rushed Shalltear, a white aura energy came from her and formed into a totally white pallet swap of her; even the armor and weapon the Shalltear clone had were totally white. It was this clone of Shalltear that took the United States of Smash from All Might. To the credit of the Symbol of Peace, his mightiest attack did do some damage to the Einherjar, but that grand effort wasn't quite enough to bust it.

All Might, as he felt the last of his power fade, as he reverted to his skinny form of Toshinori Yagi, saw he failed to not only hit the real Shalltear, he couldn't even bust her doppelganger. "No... No not now..." Toshinori thought as he fell over onto his back onto the floor, unable to do anymore. Shalltear and her Einherjar walked over to look down at the spent Toshinori.

Shalltear offered him an amused smirk. "I will admit," Shalltear said as she and her Einherjar pulled their weapons back, "You did more than what I would have expected out of a human."

*STAB*

END, CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

Author's notes;

This chapter sees the raid continue, but the heroes and their police allies take a lot of losses over the course of their raid on the Shie Hassaikai compound. Fat Gum and Tamaki are able to on their own defeat a room full of undead, but they're spent after that effort and would be dead weight if they were around to try to help out.

Even so, a good number of others are killed, including Sir Nighteye and Mirio who suffered backlash from overuse of his own power. And then there's All Might who tried to one-v-one Shalltear. Yeah, things aren't looking too good right now. Things will continue later. Take care.
