Don't worry, Hazel has had to be subtle with her magic, but she won't have to be soon.

"You are nearly one of the people now. Congratulations." Hazel spoke to Jake. She spoke steadily, however, she held a sharp edge to her voice. A month had passed since her joining of the people, and Jake would be travelling to iknimaya tomorrow. It was rare that they were in their human bodies. They were currently forcing down some substance from a bag made for nutrients. All it did was make Hazel feel sick.
Noticing her tone, Jake looked towards her wearily. He had learned that she was not someone to cross whether in her Na'vi form or her human. "Yes, I am. Thank you?" He formed in reply in more of a question, wanting to know the reason for her sharp tone.
She stared at him. "You know I am very close to them. I wouldn't want anything happening to them." Again her tone was piercing, hinting towards something biting.
"What is it that you are on about Hazel? Spit it out." Although weary, Jake was frustrated with her hidden meanings and angry tone. "You don't think I should become one of the people? That's a bit hypocritical of you!"
Hazel just continued watching him. Not fazed by his anger. "No its not. I, at least, don't tell the people who wouldn't mind burning them to the ground about their weaknesses." She decided that it was the time to make sure Jake was in the right mind set to be one of the people. Once he gained his own ikran, his word would hold more sway.
Jake seemed shocked and conflicted. "Its- How did you-." He paused, holding court to what looked to be a conversation inside of his head. Suddenly, it looked like all the air left his body. "I- I don't know what to do." He finally continued, looking frustrated and weak. "I can barely remember by old life. I'm not sure who I am anymore." They both paused, Jake looking irritated with himself, Hazel simply observing him.
"Who do you want to be?" Jake was on the verge of making a decision that would greatly effect his future. She had been wating for him to make it for months, and in this moment, Hazel would help him make the right decision.
Jake didn't seem to know the answer. "I haven't sent a clip in weeks."
"Then you already have your answer, you just need to choose it." Jake still looked conflicted. "If people were hurt for little to no reason, would you sit down and watch?" As Hazel spoke, she realised this current situation reflected upon the future and her past. After all, millions of people had stood by and not lifted a finger to the death of her entire civilisation.
"No. I never did." He replied, more confident this time.
"Then don't."
Until he put action towards his words Hazel would question him at the back of her head. For now, she was satisfied.

"The sky-people are planning something. They have given us a deadline. We have been pushing it back, but they aren't listening anymore." Hazel paced around the enclave in Hometree. Mo'at, Eytukan and Tsu'tey watch her, urgent for the news. She tried to calm herself, resting her hand on the bark of Hometree. Ewya was there as always to surround her with her essence, gently soothing her with her magic. "Whatever they are planning it will be soon."
The others absorbed the information in different arrays of rage.
"Do you still think they will come to Hometree?" Eytukan queries, anger in his voice.
"I have no doubt. I overheard another conversation with the leaders. Underneath Hometree is the rock they want and a lot of it. They do not care about anything else, especially Quartich, and they have grown tired of the delays."
Mo'at growled. "Rock. Rock. They would destroy our home for a rock." She practically spat out the words. "We should kill them now. Be done with it." Tsu'tey was in agreement and thumped his chest.
"No!" Hazel exclaimed. Trying to show them reason. "I think its what they are waiting for! It would look better for them if we delt the first blow. We cannot. It would put too many innocents at risk if they come when we are not prepared."
"They what would you have us do?!" Eytukan demanded.
"I don't know! I just wish I knew what they are planning. There is only so much I can watch without them not-" Hazel paused sharply; something had changed.
"AHH-" Hazel dropped to the ground, clutching her head with her hands. There was something incredibly wrong. Eywa was screaming! Something was hurting her. Something was destroying her, ripping and tearing at her crust. Ewya's magic clicked, as if realising something through its paid, and started pulling her magic with her own. Hazel had apparated before on Pandora, and Ewya was somehow pulling on her magic, telling her it wanted her to do it again.
"Ewya-" Hazel managed to look up through the paid to the others. Tsu'tey was hovering by her not knowing what to do. Mo'at had her eyes closed, murmuring to herself, probably feeling the same paid Hazel was. "Ewya is pulling me."
Letting go of her hold Hazel apparated, allowing Eywa to guide her to the destination she needed her. It was a strange feeling, the sensation of apparition already felt disconcerting, and yet being led by another felt so much worse. It felt like side-along apparition upside down. Ewya clearly remembered that Hazel had apparated previously, but seemed to have forgotten the magic behind it, or just couldn't do it the same way herself. Instead Ewya had just grabbed onto Hazle with her magic and pulled.
Gasping, Hazel appeared from a sharp bright light, and fell through the air meters above the ground, somehow landing on her feet. Looking around Hazel quickly came to terms with where she was and what was happening. Eywa had brought her to the willow glade and from the noise of machinery, it was very clear why. They had attacked the tree of souls. Hazel could see the play immediately from Quaritch. He attacked the tree knowing that the Na'vi would retaliate. If they did, to others it would look like the Na'vi attacked first.
She sprinted towards the roar of engine, and the cracking sound of trees being crushed under enormous machinery. Pushing herself past the final trunks Hazel paused at the sight of a gigantic dozer ploughing into the tree of souls. It had clearly been developed to decimate the rough terrain on Pandora, and like the humans always did, it left a trail of destruction and debris in its wake. From what she could see, the dozer had already made its way thought half of the willow glade. Hazel needed to stop its progress and she needed to stop it immediately.
She rushed closer, attempting to remain under cover as she knew it most likely had cameras. There! Hazel spotted them right at the front and centre. To her surprise and glee, they had somehow been damaged what looked like beyond repair.
Good. She would not have to hide herself.
With that fear completely removed, Hazel stepped towards the dozer, standing right in its path. Reaching out with her magic she grasped onto its massive wheels and twisted, smiling in pleasure at the screeching and grinding noise that rewarded her. The thing juddered, halting in its path. But Hazel did not stop there. She knew she wouldn't be able to do anything that would look too suspicious, not yet, but she was sure they would be able to come up with a reason as to why it had suddenly turned itself around. What a shame it would be for it to begin driving in the wrong direction towards the human base.
Smirking at her thoughts, Hazel lifted her arms and her magic, intent on gripping the dozer firmly and rotating it in the air. It would be heavy, but nothing she hadn't done before. She felt Ewya with her, still in so much pain, but strong enough to watch her use her magic. With a long breath, Hazel had the machine locked in the grip of her magic, slowly turned it one-hundred and eighty degrees and facing back the way it had come. When it was back on the ground, Hazel breathed again and once again twisted its wheels, the right way this time.
It continued as if she hadn't touched it, making its way back towards the humans who had been controlling it. Hazel knew they would probably put a stop to it before it was able to cause too much damage, but this way she had saved the remaining trees and did not get herself caught in the process.
Hazel watched it go until she could no longer hear it before focusing back on the destruction it had left. There was nothing she could do for the destroyed trees, but she would heal what was left of them and lessen Ewya's pain. She began walking through the destructed path, helping the grass re-grow, the partly snapped trunks merge back together, and crushed vegetation re-bloom. She reached with her magic into the ground, giving the plants her magic to use as they please. It was not a spell that she had learned, but for a long time Hazel had just used intent to will her magic into the form she wanted. She did that now, letting her magic flow into the air and setting across the trees. Ewya soaked up some of it, and the energy seemed to reduce her pain. Learning this, Hazel pumped more and more of it into the space around her, letting Ewya take it for herself.
When Hazel sensed that she could do all she could she took one last look around the clearing and apparated back to Hometree. She needed to tell them what has happened and warn the what was to come.
