Part 11 - Shocking Funeral
The funeral was a beautiful one, and so in Charlie's way of things to be, but also what he wished it to be in first place as few people spoke including Bella herself did, and she saw not only her mother being there, but those traitorous Cullens were also here, and those who was with them, must be those Denali's but she forgot them being there, as she spoke of her favorite memories and things she had done with her father, including shocking most that he had taught her how to defend herself, to be able to shoot if necessary and he also taught of true love of a father, that she was hoping to let Daniel, her fiancé to do with their own children in the future.
It shocked most people to hear that part, especially her mother and those Cullens were in deep shock of her saying those things, including that she was engaged to a true man that loves her for who she is, not for what she was supposed to be acting like or be like, for the other wanted her to be such person that was not her true self, for that was a sick mental thing to think you can change someone to be what your dreams of a perfect woman should be in your own dreams and hopes, when no one is perfect. If you think so, then you are clearly too sick to know what is real and what is not real.
Dan was so damn proud of her when she said so, and so was his teams of the FBI teams that was in town. As soon she sat down, her tears began again, and Dan just wrapped an warm arm around her, and gave a tissue of his to her, and she thanked him softly, and laid her head onto his chest, and he just smiled softly, before becoming stoic, then he too was to give a speech, so he stood after giving Bella a soft kiss and he stood up and went over to the podium, and said
"Good afternoon everyone, to you who don't know me, I am Daniel Hawkseye, and I was a close friend of Charlie, and through him I found love in his own, only daugther, Isabella, and since she had her heart broken by a boy who thought he could change her into what was not herself at all, she and I re-connected at the expense of her father's untimely death, but also for our feelings from the time I was with her father on a case that I helped him with years earlier, we got closer to each other and could then admit that those feelings still were there for each other, and therefore it was no surprise for either of us, when I proposed to her with Charlie's blessing. Yes, months earlier, I had spoken on the phone with Charlie, who gave me his blessing to ask Bella to marry me. And he also loved me as a son, as he could see that I was the perfect match for her, no one would be able to be so for his only girl and daugther. Bella, your father loved you more than anything else in this world, while he hates that he will not be able to bring down the aisle next autumn when we marry, he knows who the next best man to do so, and that man has agreed to do so, I asked him earlier this morning before the funeral, and he will take you down the aisle to me in a year's time. Charlie didn't get his time as chief long, due to some circumstances, that I am not able to tell for the case is still going on, but I will say this, that it will shock many people when it is said and done over. I thank you for your time as my friend, Charlie, please may rest in eternal peace by knowing that your daugther, Bella, will safe and loved by me and others. Thank you."
And with that he stepped down, and wrapped his arms around Bella who was crying harder now of hearing what he had to say, but also so much love of the shock of what else he had said in his speech, so she only held him, as Rev. Webber took over again, and said last few words;
"Thank you all for being here on this most difficult, yet beautiful day and ceremony, of us saying goodbye to a great father, friend to us all. Charlie would be pleased with how this day became like, and what was being said under it. Isabella, Daniel, go with God and his love by your side was you transferred it towards being husband and wife, friends and lovers. May God Go With You All here today."
And with that, the last music was being played, which was Charlie's favorite song of Enya, it was called "On My Way Home" and it was a fitting one for sure. Bella smiled through her tears while hearing this song, that her father loved so much, that she too loves so much. Daniel smiled, as he knew this song was their song too now.
Soon after it was done, they were let go across the road, to the other place, where refreshments were being served to all guests. Rev. Weber came up to Bella, and in his hands he had Charlie's baptism candle, and it was still burning, and Bella smiled, as she then after a quick, quiet pray, blew it out, and Anthony smiled, for she knew what she needed to with it without questions asked about it. Dan had his hand onto her shoulder while she did so, and she placed hers over his soon after that.
Bella knew that her mother would confront soon enough as they came inside of the other place, and she also knew that those Cullens were going to talk her into to leaving with them but they would get to see how wrong they were in those plans soon enough.
