After their meeting with DiZ, Wes and Rui took their leave of Miror B's lair and pondered how to enter the Under.
"Any ideas on how we're gonna get to the Under?" Wes asked.
"I'm just as much in the dark about it as you," Rui said. She stroked her chin. "Maybe we should check out the region and see if we can figure it out."
"I guess you're right, Rui," Wes said.
With that said, Wes and Rui exited the caves and rode around the Orre region, trying to find a clue to the Under DiZ has mentioned before. But so far, there was no luck.
Meanwhile, Looker has successfully infiltrated Team Shadow's ranks, disguising himself as a Team Shadow peon.
During the search, they saw what looks like a lab in the desert.
"I don't remember that being there," Rui said.
"Maybe that could be a clue to the Under. Better look into it," Wes said. Just then, his PStarDA goes off and he sees it's from Chief Sherles. And it reads "MIROR PEON NABBED!"
"What is it, Wes?" Rui asked.
"It's a message from Chief Sherles," Wes said. He opens it and reads the contents.
Wes, it's Sherles.
We've just apprehended a pair of thugs we believe to be Miror B's underlings.
We may be able to learn on them for information.
We have them locked up, so hurry over to Pyrite Town.
"What did the chief have to say?" Rui asked.
"He said he arrested a couple of Miror B's thugs. And he wants us to come to the police station. Maybe they might have a clue about how to get in," Wes said.
With that said, Wes and Rui got back on the vehicle and rode off to Pyrite Town once again. They entered the police department and met with Sherles sitting in his desk.
"We got here as soon as we got your message, Chief," Rui said.
"I'm glad you made it all this way," Sherles said.
"Did those two you arrested say anything about where the Shadow Pokémon are coming from?" Wes asked.
"No. They haven't spilled the beans. Not a single one. I reckon they're afraid of payback from the Team Shadow organization," Sherles said as he sighed. "But I suspect you would have much better luck with them than I. And that is why I contacted you."
"We'll do what we can," Rui said.
"I know you will," Sherles said.
Wes and Rui came to the cell room and they spotted Folly and Trudly in separate cells. They winced when they saw them.
"Oh, no! Not you again!" Folly gasped.
"Trust me, seeing you two again isn't a picnic for me, neither. But you don't need to wet your pants in fear, because I have no interest in whooping you for a third time," Wes said.
"I'm surprised these two managed to get away for weeks since we've been here," Rui said.
"Actually, these two turned themselves in shortly after arriving here. They confessed in hijacking a truck. At first, we had them both in the same cell, but we had to separate them after we nabbed two more of Miror B's people," Mr. Johnson said.
"Yeah, he's actually right. And the reason is, we didn't want to face Miror B for fouling up twice," Trudly said.
"So, we decided it was better to he in jail than in the grave, because Miror B would have our heads for it," Folly said.
"You two should consider yourselves lucky, because Miror B's gone. He left," Rui said.
"Wait. Really? Mirror B left?" Trudly asked.
"How do we know he's gone? It could be a trick," Folly said.
"Look, we don't care if you believe me or not. Do you know about how to get to the Under or not?" Wes asked.
"Under? What are you talking about?" Folly asked.
"Yeah, under what?" Trudly asked.
"Should have guessed it would have been too easy. You two wouldn't find solid ground if you were crawling on your hands and knees," Wes said.
"Hey! We're not that dumb!" Folly exclaimed, offended by Wes's comment.
"You sure about those two?" Wes asked.
"Honestly, I don't know," Mr. Johnson said.
"But you did say you arrested two of Miror B's goons, didn't you?" Rui pointed out.
"Yes, we have and it wasn't those two. It was actually two women who were working for Miror B," Mr. Johnson said. He showed them the other cell and it contained Ferma and Reath. Ferma spotted them and she flinched.
"Aak! It's you! Aiyeeeeh! Get away from me!" Ferma exclaimed.
"Trust me, we're not glad to see you, either," Wes said.
"I think you got this covered," Mr. Johnson said, taking out a jail key and unlocked the cell. Wes walked right in.
"So, how did you end up nabbed by the cops?" Wes asked.
"We were collared when we tried to snake down to the Under," Ferma said.
"Funny you should bring that up. We were just looking for a way to get down there ourselves. And it seems that you know a down there, don't you?" Wes asked.
"Yeah, I know. I won't tell you anything," Ferma said. Reath then moans in her sleep.
"Elevator going down..." Reath said in her sleep.
"Elevator going down? What does that mean?" Rui asked.
"What does she mean elevator?" Wes asked.
"I don't know what she means, either. And you shouldn't think I'm dumb enough to tell you that the elevator is the way to the Under," Ferma said. She winced when she accidentally spilled the beans. "Oops."
"Heh! So, that's how you get there! Thanks," Wes said, stepping out. Mr. Johnson shuts the cell. Ferma growled.
"It's just another thing that goes with this, that, and everything else you caused! It's all your fault!" Ferma said.
"It was your fault for thinking you could get away with all this," Wes said.
"Wait!" Ferma called out. Wes turned to her. She took the key card from Reath while she's sleeping and hands it to him. "You're going to need this. It'll get you use the elevator, but it won't do you any good because you'll have to get past the guard to enter the Under."
"I think I can manage," Wes said.
With that said, they took their leave of the police station and headed for Miror B's building once again. Along the way, Wes has placed Feraligatr, Quagsire, Ampharos, and Hitmontop on the team. When they entered the building, they spotted the girl from before.
"Oh, it's you again," the girl groaned.
"You got that right. And we're going to the Under," Wes said.
"Over my dead body, you will. The elevator is off-limits! If you wanna get there, then you're gonna have to battle me for it!" The girl said.
"Just what I have in mind," Wes said. He took out two of his Pokéballs and threw them. She took out her two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Alright, Phanpy, Vibrava! Go!" The girl called out. Her Phanpy and Vibrava came out.
"Umbreon, Espeon! Let's go!" Wes called out. Both Pokémon came out to battle.
"Phanpy! Use Take Down! Vibrava! Use Dragon Tail!" The girl ordered. Phanpy and Vibrava came at their opponents with their chosen attacks.
"Espeon! Use Psychic! Umbreon! Feint Attack!" Wes ordered. Espeon uses Psychic on Phanpy, stopping it and sending it flying. Umbreon vanished and reappeared to land a hit onto Vibrava. Both Pokémon were taken down. She called them both back, knowing she lost.
"This didn't happen!" The girl exclaimed in shock. "You may have beaten me, but you're going to lose big down below."
Using the elevator key, they entered inside the elevator and went down in it.
"You think we could have used our Keyblades to unlock the elevator instead of the key?" Rui asked.
"Didn't seem like a good idea. Besides, I think it's best we only use them for the Heartless. It's very likely we'll run into some while we're down there. Not to mention, those Organization XIII people would show up like DiZ said," Wes said.
"I guess you're right. And we'll have some Shadow Pokémon to deal with and snag," Rui said.
They came to the floor with another girl down below. She sees them.
"Welcome to the Under!" The girl cheerfully greeted. She then took a good look at Wes and Rui. "Huh? Wait a second. It's been a long time since anyone has come down here."
"Really? Well, it's to be greeted by someone so friendly," Rui said.
"Yeah, friendly," Wes said with caution.
Just when they stepped on forward, the screen begins to change as it lets out a broadcast for everyone in the Under to see. A woman appeared on the screen as she was making an opening.
"Hello, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! It's time for the Under Time again today! Without further ado, let's bring out that special someone we've all been waiting for! Lady Venus, please!" The woman announced.
Appearing on screen is a tall woman that wears a large, pink and white dress adorned with crystals which flattens out at the bottom. The dress has long sleeves which puff out on the shoulders and also has a heart pattern on the front. She has hazel eyes and brown hair with spiral curls including two on the front and six on the back. She wears pink lipstick and makeup. She has a brownish-gold crescent moon which floats behind her and wears layers of transparent pink silk including a face veil that covers up from her nose to her torso and a cape that is attached to the crescent moon. She also wears a large brownish-gold headpiece with a crescent moon pattern in the center on the back of her head which points out on both sides.
"Hi, everyone! It's me, your Venus! Everyone's Venus, that's me!" Lady Venus announced. "I have something terribly important to share with you today. It's horrid. There are spies right here in the Under. Can you imagine? We really don't know all the details, but if you see anyone suspicious, please let us know. Everyone, please, I'm counting on you! We need you to get lots of information for us!"
"And that was Lady Venus! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, thank you for watching. Please do tune in again!" The woman announced as the broadcast ends. The people were murmuring among themselves. Rui was shocked to catch on that she means Wes and Rui.
"No way... They know that we came here already?" Rui asked.
"Well, we did put the kibosh on the Shadow Pokémon operation up above, stop them from smashing the Relic Stone, and liberated Mount Battle to get the Time Flute; so they won't be taking any other chances with us. They're getting paranoid," Wes said.
"You're right, Wes. We're going to have to be cautious," Rui said.
Agreeing with Rui, Wes nodded. They went down to explore through the Under.
As Wes and Rui were spotted by a young woman in the area.
"You're a Pokémon Trainer, aren't you? Did you come to enter a Colosseum challenge?" The young woman asked.
"Uh, yeah," Wes said. The young woman just scoffed.
"Humph. I don't mean any offense, but you don't exactly look tough," the young woman said.
"Trust me, I'm tougher than I look," Wes said.
"Is that right? I'll test you to see how well you can battle," the young woman said, taking out two of her Pokéballs and threw them. "Skitty! Oddish!" Her Pokéballs opened and a Skitty and an Oddish came out. Wes took out his a Pokéball and a Great Ball. He threw them both. "Hitmontop and Ampharos! Let's go!" His Pokéball and Great Ball opened to let out two of his Pokémon.
"Skitty! Use Double Slap on Ampharos! Oddish! Use Acid on Hitmontop!" The young woman ordered.
"Hitmontop! Rapid Spin on Oddish! Ampharos! Use Thunderbolt on Skitty!" Wes ordered. Ampharos fired Thunderbolt at Skitty, shocking it. Hitmontop spins around and lands a hit onto Oddish.
"Skitty! Use Play Rough on Hitmontop! Oddish! Use Absorb on Ampharos!" The young woman ordered.
"Dodge and use Triple Kick and Thunder Punch!" Wes ordered. Both Pokémon dodged their attacks and landed a hit on the both of them. Skitty and Oddish end up being knocked out. She called them both back and took out two more Pokéballs and threw them.
"Jigglypuff! Shuppet! Go!" The young woman called out. Her Pokéballs opened and out came her Jigglypuff and Shuppet. Wes called back Hitmontop and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Alright, Quagsire! You're up!" Wes called out. His Pokéball opened and Quagsire emerged from inside.
"Jigglypuff! Use Round! Shuppet! You use Night Shade!" The young woman ordered. Jigglypuff began singing a song, so the music notes struck Ampharos and Quagsire. Shuppet fired Night Shade at Quagsire, dealing some damage. "Shadow Ball!"
"Dodge and use Mud Bomb!" Wes ordered. Quagsire avoided Shuppet's Shadow Ball and fired Mud Bomb, landing a hit. "Use Aqua Tail!" Quagsire swings its tail, emitting water and struck Shuppet. "Ampharos! Use Thunderbolt!" Ampharos fired Thunderbolt, hitting Jigglypuff. "Thunder Punch!" Ampharos lands a hit. Shuppet and Jigglypuff both ends up being knocked out.
"You're better than you're look," the young woman said, calling her fallen Pokémon back. "You are strong. I guess there's no judging people by their appearance."
With that said, Wes called back his two Pokémon as he and Rui continued to explore.
"So there is a colosseum under here, too," Rui said.
"They're not risking using the one in the surface, so of course they'll be have one down here, literally beneath our feet," Wes said.
"And I'm certain Venus will be there, waiting for us," Rui said.
"You're right about that, Rui. They'll use the colosseum as bait to get me there, so the best I can do is take the bait and let them think they got me," Wes said.
"I don't know, it's too risky," Rui said.
"We took some risks to make it this far, so it'll be worth it," Wes said, smiling. Rui smiled back, finding his optimism to be attractive. She quickly shook it
"That may be, but how do you think we're gonna get there? They don't exactly have a bridge for us to cross like they do for the surface," Rui said.
"We'll have to ask someone who lives down here," Wes said.
They approached a local young man.
"Excuse us," Rui said, grabbing his attention.
"Yeah? How can I help you?" The young man asked.
"We're curious about how to get to the colosseum from here, so we thought we'd ask around," Wes said.
"Well, if you wanna get there, then you're gonna have to ride that UFO over there," the young man said, pointing to the platform.
"That thing?" Rui asked.
"Yeah, and to use it, you're going to need some operating disks," the young man said.
"And what are the operating disks?" Wes asked.
"They're five disks that are used to activate the UFO. There's the F-disk, the R-disk the L-disk, the D-disk, and the U-disc. You get your hands on each one of those disks, then you'll reach it without a sweat. Hope I've been helpful to you," the young man said.
"More than helpful," Wes said.
"We do appreciate your help," Rui said.
As they continued, they listen in on the people. They were talking about how they would approach the spies and about how Miror B and Dakim were beaten on separate occasions.
"You think there are spies down here?" A random boy asked.
"It's already bad enough we have some monsters showing up when they do, but it's not a coincidence," another boy said. Wes and Rui knew what it meant.
"The Heartless," Wes and Rui said together.
"How so?" The first boy asked.
"Well, I think the spies has to be connected with the monsters. And they're just training them like we would train Pokémon," the second boy said.
"If there were monsters down here, don't you think Lady Venus would send someone to clear them out?" The first boy asked.
"I hope so. My dad never came home after stepping out yesterday," the second boy said.
They entered the local hotel where the caretaker is an elderly man at the booth.
"Hello there, young people. Would you like a room to rest in for the evening?" The old man asked.
"Um, no. We're just heading upstairs, if it's not too much trouble," Wes said.
"Ah, too bad. Well, the offer still stands in case you changed your minds," the old man said.
Wes and Rui went up to what looks like a bar up above when another broadcast comes on, grabbing everyone's attention. The woman from before comes on.
"Hello, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! It's time for the Under Time again today! Without further ado, let's bring out that special someone we've all been waiting for! Lady Venus, please!" The woman announced.
"Hi, everyone! It's me, your Venus! Everyone's Venus, that's me! I'm very disappointed. The spies haven't been caught yet. Can you imagine? Everyone, please, I'm counting on you for more cooperation!" Lady Venus announced. The screen switches to the woman again.
"And that was Lady Venus! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, thank you for watching. Please do tune in again!" The woman announced as the broadcast ends.
"Okay, here's the plan. When I see those spies, the first thing you're gonna do is jump him and subdue him," one of the patrons said.
"That's a good plan," the other patron said.
Wes and Rui stepped out to the door at the end, where a boy spotted them.
"Spies! Spies! Hey, I see spies!" The boy exclaimed. He then looked at Wes. "Oh, wait. That can't be right. Real spies would look much stronger. Sorry! My mistake." Wes growled in annoyance.
"What is wrong with these people? Why do they automatically assume that I look weak?" Wes asked, feeling annoyed.
"From what I can guess, they've been down here too long. So they probably don't that good of news here other than Venus's broadcast," Rui said.
They moved on to the other building next to them when they spotted a young man in purple standing outside.
"Hey, you hear about the prize?" The young man asked.
"What prize would that be?" Wes asked.
"Well, if you have to know, the winner of the Colosseum gets to meet Lady Venus in person and receive a Shadow Pokémon. One day, I'm going to enter and get me a Shadow Pokémon. Before that, I'll test the opposition starting with you! Here goes!" The young man said, taking out two Pokéballs and threw them. "Magikarp and Feebas! I choose you!" His Pokéballs opened and out came a Magikarp and a Feebas. Wes didn't question it, so he took out two of his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Amoharos and Feraligatr! Go!" Wes called out. Ampharos and Feraligatr both emerged from inside.
"Okay, Magikarp, Feebas! Tackle!" The young man ordered. Both Pokémon charges at their opponents.
"Thunderbolt!" Wes ordered. Ampharos fired Thunderbolt, shocking both Fish Pokémon. He called them back and took out one more Pokéball and threw it.
"Okay, Wailord! Go!" The young man called out. His Pokéball opened and a Wailord emerged from inside. "Alright, Wailrod! Use Water Spout!" Wailord shoots water out from its blowholes.
"Dodge it!" Wes called out. Both Pokémon managed to dodge Wailord's Water Spout. They were smaller than Wailord, but they were faster, too. "Feraligatr! Dragon Claw! Ampharos! Thunder Punch!" Feraligatr and Ampharos each landed a hit onto the Float Whale Pokémon, dealing some heavy damage. "Alright, Ampharos! Thunderbolt!" Ampharos fired a Thunderbolt, shocking Wailord and resulted in a knockout.
"I'll never become the champ if I losing here!" The young man groaned. He called back his Wailord and he groaned again. Wes called back Ampharos and Feraligatr. "Awww, crap. I'm not giving up until I win at the Colosseum and get me a Shadow Pokémon of my own!"
"Good luck," Wes said as he and Rui entered the other building and stepped inside. "Maybe one of the operating disks is down those stairs."
"It's worth a shot," Rui said. They headed for the stairs at the opposite end and they went down the stairs and searched from the mess and they didn't find anything. They moved on to have a look when they spotted a boy, examining the mess.
"Oh, sheesh, what should I do... I have to make a delivery, but still not done cleaning..." The boy said to himself. He turned around and he almost jumped with excitement when he saw Wes and Rui. "Hey, wait! Aren't you Wes and Rui?" This strikes a cord with the two of them.
"Huh? How do you know who we are?" Rui asked.
"Yeah, how? We didn't even tell you who we were," Wes said.
"I just know! And this makes things easy. Please, can I get you to deliver this part to Nett's house?" The boy requested. He hands the part to Wes.
"But... Wait..." Rui paused.
"What is this?" Wes asked.
"Just tell Nett that it's from Perr. That's me. He'll tell you the details," the boy said.
"Okay, Perr, we can deliver this thing to him if it's important. We just need to know where he lives," Wes said.
"Nett's house is the one with the big, rotating dish. You'll know which one it is as soon as you see it," Perr instructed.
"Rotating dish. Got it," Wes said as Rui nodded. They both head back up the stairs to deliver the part to Nett in his house.
Meanwhile, in Lady Venus's lair, she stands before the screen with Nascour on the screen. Standing next to Lady Venus is is a tall man that wears a large lab coat. He also wears shades and has long, black hair.
"Venus. What's your situation?" Nascour asked.
"Well, a couple of misfits appear to be running loose, Nascour. But it's nothing to worry about. We'll catch them right away, pulverize, and mash them up," Lady Venus said. She giggled as a snobbish noblewoman. (Oh, ho, ho, ho!) Nascour was silent for a few seconds.
"Fine. The priority is to distribute Shadow Pokémon. Don't forget," Nascour said. He then sets his attentions on the man. "As for you, Ein, hurry. Complete the Shadow Pokémon's development as soon as possible."
"Your trust will not be misplaced, Master Nascour. Already, sufficient Shadow Pokémon battle data has been gathered from our minions. In fact, I already have Pokémon that are indigenous to the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea regions on the way as we speak. We would have more Shadow Pokémon to be created. As for my masterpiece... The most powerful Shadow Pokémon in history shall soon be ready!" Ein said. Nascour evilly grinned.
"Good. I will be waiting for good news. That is all," Nascour said, breaking contact. Ein then turned to Lady Venus.
"Now... It is time we returned to the lab and put on the finishing touches," Ein said. He takes his leave of Lady Venus. When the door opened, he turned to a scientist on his right. "Come. Back to the lab." The other scientist nodded and followed him.
Unknown to anyone, Looker was listening in on their conversation.
"So, the most powerful Shadow Pokémon is almost ready. It's not gonna be easy like I originally thought. And now, I know there's a lab," Looker said, taking out his smartphone and made contact with international police HQ. "This is Looker. I have infiltrated the Team Shadow organization as planned. Their operations are even further ahead than it was originally thought. I'm going to be investigating even further to find more usable information."
"What did you find out?" The commander asked.
"It turns out there is a Shadow Pokémon lab somewhere in the Orre region after all. Its current location is unknown. But I will find it," Looker said.
"Be discreet, Looker. I have gotten word that there are two individuals have been causing for Team Shadow for the last few weeks," the commander said.
"Roger that. I'll report back when I discover more. Over and out," Looker said, breaking contact.
Back in the Under, Wes and Rui took their leave of the building and they spotted a house with the rotating dish like Perr described. There, they spotted a boy with orange hair. He wearing a green cap. He also wore a light blue shirt with a dark blue bottom, green and black pads on his elbows and knees, and a pair of skates.
"Hey, who are you?" The boy asked.
"Cool it, kid. We were sent here by a kid named Perr, and we were told to come here," Wes said.
"You brought me the power-up part from Perr? Great! I was waiting for that!" The boy exclaimed.
"Are you Nett?" Rui asked.
"No, I'm Bitt. Nett's inside. Who are you?" Bitt asked.
"I'm Rui and he's Wes," Rui introduced. The boy almost tripped on his skates when he heard their names.
"Seriously?! The same Wes and Rui were hearing about?! The one who gave that Miror B the beat down of his life?!" Bitt exclaimed.
"That's one way to put it," Wes said.
"Oh, wow, this is too awesome! Come on, you have got to get inside. Quick, quick!" Bitt said, stepping inside. Wes and Rui obliged the boy and stepped inside the house. Inside the house was a set of stairs, so they went down them. Inside is a girl with black hair tied with in small pigtails with white ribbons and wore a white dress and black shoes with white socks. With her is a Shroomish. "Megg! Nett! You won't believe who just dropped in for a visit! We've got some shocking company!" Megg turned to Bitt, puzzled.
"Shocking company?" Megg asked.
"Try not to he too shocked when you hear it! It's Wes and Rui!" Bitt said.
In the other room, a boy gasped with awe. He wore a white shirt, blue pants, and black shoes. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
"No! Really?!" Megg exclaimed.
Just then, the boy stepped out, excited.
"Bitt, is that true?! Is that Wes really here?!" The boy exclaimed. Bitt turned to him and chuckled.
"See for yourself," Bitt said. Nett couldn't contain his excitement when he sees Wes right in front of him.
"Let me guess, you're Nett, right?" Wes asked.
"Yes, I am! Secc in Pyrite has told me about what you've done so far," Nett said.
"Perr wanted me to give this to you," Wes said, handing him the part. Nett takes it.
"Great. This is all I needed to get the Kids Grid back up and running again," Nett said.
"Why do you need that part so badly, Nett?" Rui asked.
"I better explain. A little while ago, we somehow lost access to the Kids Grid. We think it's caused by a jamming signal that's interfering with the Kids Grid. It's probably Venus's doing," Nett said.
"Of course, it is," Wes said.
"But this powerup part you delivered will let me boost our equipment. When we get the Kids Grid back up, I'll try to hack their computers for useful data," Nett said.
"That'll be great. That way, we can known what they're planning," Rui said.
"What kind of info could you be looking for?" Wes asked.
"Well, I was looking for some information regarding the Shadow Pokémon lab, but before I could look even further, I was cut off. And the Kids Grid have been down ever since," Nett said.
"Now, that you have what you need, you can go and see what else you can learn," Wes said.
"Yes," Nett agreed. Megg approached them.
"Wes, you think I can have your PStarDA number? It'll be a good way to keep in touch when my big brother finds something useful," Megg said.
"Sure," Wes said, giving her his PStarDa number. "Come on, Rui. We have work to do."
"Right," Rui said.
With that said, they walked back upstairs and stepped out. But suddenly...
"The spy! We spotted the spy!" A voice yelled.
"A spy?" Wes asked.
"I don't like this," Rui said.
They spotted three people watching the scene going on.
"What's going on?" Wes asked.
"The spy was spotted near the elevator!" A young woman said.
Wes and Rui went over to the source and they saw it was Silva being apprehended by two Team Shadow peons.
"Let me go! Let me go!" Silva demanded.
"Shut up! It's hopeless! Quit struggling!" One of the female Team Shadow peons said. They take him to a compound and they place him in it. "Now be a good boy. Lie still."
"Lady Venus will deal with you shortly," the second Team Shadow peon said.
"Silva," Rui said.
"I guess he came down the elevator same as us. It's the only way up or down," Wes said. They walked by the two female Team Shadow peons and to the side of the fence. "Silva! Over here!" Silva spotted them and approached them both from his side.
"Wes, Rui, I'm glad to see you both," Silva said.
"I already know how you got here, but what the hell are you doing here?" Wes asked.
"I discovered that they were bringing Shadow Pokémon to Pyrite from here. That's as far as I got when they caught me like this..." Silva paused.
"That was a risk you shouldn't have put yourself in. You remember what happened the last time?" Wes asked.
"I know, I know. But I manage to filch this from them. Here you go," Silva said, handing them a disk.
"One of the disks we need for the UFO," Wes said.
"I don't know what you're talking about, but I figured you'd find much better use for it than me. And when you find a key to this place, find it and let me out," Silva said.
"Rui and I will do what we can. In the meantime, you just chill and wait," Wes said.
"Okay, I'm counting on you. Be quick about it," Silva said.
Just when Wes and Rui left to make use of the UFO, they were spotted by one of the female Team Shadow peons.
"Who might you be? If you're a tourist, you're getting in our way. Go on, scram," the first female Team Shadow peon said. She took a good look at Wes and Rui. "Hold on, you two! You're not from around these parts, are you, now? I get it! You came to rescue your pal here! You two are spies, too!"
"Okay, you caught us. And it's about time you showed up," Wes said. She took out her two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Ledian, Spinarak! I choose you!" The first female Team Shadow peon called out. A Ledian and a Spinarak emerged from inside. Wes took out his two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Espeon, Umbreon! Go!" Wes called out. His Espeon and Umbreon emerged from inside. Rui took a good look at Ledian and she gasped.
"Wes! Ledian is a Shadow Pokémon!" Rui warned.
"Then, that'll be my target," Wes said.
"Ledian! Use Shadow Rush! Spinarak! Use Poison Sting!" The first female Team Shadow peon ordered. Ledian charges at Umbreon with Shadow Rush while Spinarak fired Poison Sting at Umbreon.
"Espeon, Umbreon! Dodge!" Wes called out. Espeon and Umbreon dodged their assault. "Espeon! Use Psychic Fangs on Spinarak! Umbreon! Use Dark Pulse on Ledian!" Espeon came at Spinarak and lands a Psychic Fangs on the String Spit Pokémon while Umbreon unleashed Dark Pulse at Ledian, dealing some damage. Spinarak was knocked out and she called it back. She took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Volbeat! Go!" The first female Team Shadow peon shouted as Volbeat emerged from inside. "Use Silver Wind on the both of them!" Volbeat unleashes a Silver Wind at both Eeveelutions.
"Dodge it!" Wes called out. Espeon and Umbreon dodged Volbeat's Silver Wind.
"Ledian! Shadow Rush!" The first female Team Shadow peon ordered. Ledian rushed at Umbreon with Shadow Rush and lands a hit. Umbreon has taken heavy damage from that attack. Wes called Umbreon back and he took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Ampharos! Go!" Wes called out. Ampharos emerged from inside, ready to battle. "Ampharos! Use Thunderbolt!" Ampharos unleashed Thunderbolt, sending it at Ledian.
"Dodge it!" The first female Team Shadow peon called out. Ledian dodged and struck Volbeat instead. The Firefly Pokémon was knocked out. She called Volbeat back. "Use Shadow Rush!" Ledian charges at Ampharos and struck the Light Pokémon on the mark. The Five Star Pokémon ends up being paralyzed due to Ampharos's Static.
"Use Thunder Punch!" Wes ordered. Ampharos lands a Thunder Punch, striking Ledian on the mark. "Use Psychic!" Espeon uses Psychic on Ledian and held it in the air. Espeon slams Ledian down to the ground. Taking advantage of Ledian's paralysis, Wes took out a Pokéball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw it and Ledian flows inside it. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Wes's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Ledian with him. He chosen to send Ledian to his ride.
"This spy's actually strong," the first female Team Shadow peon cried. The second one approached her.
"Don't be too hasty about relaxing! I'm next!" The second female Team Shadow peon said, taking out her own Pokéballs and threw them. "Ariados, Gloom! Go!" Her Pokéballs opened and out came an Ariados and a Gloom. "Ariados! Use Shadow Ball on Espon! Gloom! Moonblast on Ampharos!" Ariados and Gloom fired their chosen attacks at their opponents.
"Dodge and use Psybeam and Dragon Pulse!" Wes ordered. Espeon fired Psybeam and Ampharos fired Dragon Pulse, hitting Ariados and Gloom on the mark. Both Pokémon were knocked out as she called them both back and took out two more Pokéballs and threw them. "Illumise, Sunflora! Go!" She threw the Pokéballs and out came an Illumise and a Sunflora emerged from inside. Rui had a good look at Sunflora.
"Wes! Sunflora is also a Shadow Pokémon!" Rui said.
"Thanks for the heads-up!" Wes said.
"Sunflora! Use Shadow Rave!" The second female Team Shadow peon ordered. Sunflora unleashed Shadow Rave and struck both Espeon and Ampharos, dealing some heavy damage. Wes called back Espeon and Ampharos and took out his next two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Feraligatr, Hitmontop! Go!" Wes called out. Feraligatr and Hitmontop emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"Illumise! Use Silver Wind! Sunflora! Use Shadow Rave again!" The second female Team Shadow peon ordered. Illumise unleashed Silver Wind as Sunflora was unleashing another Shadow Rave.
"Dodge it!" Wes called out. Feraligatr and Hitmontop quickly dodged the two attacks. "Feraligatr! Use Ice Fang on Sunflora!" Feraligatr came at the Sun Pokémon and lands an icy bite onto it. Sunflora was now frozen. "Hitmontop! Triple Kick on Illumise!" Hitmontop spins around and gave Illumise some devastating kicks. Wes took out a Pokéball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw it and Sunflora flowed inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Wes's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Sunflora with him. He chose to send Sunflora to his ride. "Feraligatr! Aqua Tail!" Feraligatr slammed its tail onto Illumise, knocking her out. She called back her Illumise.
"How could we lose? The both of us?" The second female Team Shadow peon asked. She turned to her colleague. "We're out of our league against this guy!" The both of them ran off. One of them dropped a disc. Wes picked it up.
"Another one," Wes said.
"Two discs for us to use," Rui said.
"Yeah, but it won't be long until Venus knows we're here," Wes said.
"Then, we should be extra careful," Rui said.
Now that they have retrieved two of the discs needed for the UFO and snagged two Shadow Pokémon in the process, it will not be long until they make it to Venus and take her down. Will they be able to win against whatever Shadow Pokémon she has in her possession? Stick around if you wanna find out.
