After snagging a Shadow Ledian and Sunflora from two members of Team Shadow, Wes and Rui make good use of the two discs they had. They figured Venus knows all about them by now. Just when Wes was about to make good use of the UFO, they were stopped.
"Hold it right there!" An angry male voice shouted. Wes and Rui turned to see six Team Shadow grunts in front of them. "I thought those spies that got everyone talking was you!" The leading Team Shadow peon said.
"You have some nerve to come all the way here, so now, you're going to wish you didn't," another Team Shadow peon said.
"And we saw what you did back there!" The third Team Shadow peon said.
"Lady Venus gave us orders to deal with anyone who tries to get in our way," the fourth Team Shadow peon said.
"So, we're taking the both of you directly to her," the fifth Team Shadow peon said.
"Thanks, but no. We're capable of getting there ourselves. And if it's a battle you want, then it's a battle you're gonna get," Wes said.
"I was hoping you would say that," the leading Team Shadow peon said, taking out two of his Pokéballs. "I have you right where I want you!" He threw them. "Ursaring! Gyarados! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and a Gyarados and an Ursaring emerged from inside. Rui looked at Ursaring and saw the aura.
"Wes! Ursaring is a Shadow Pokémon!" Rui said.
"Gotcha," Wes said. He took out two of his own Pokéballs and threw them. "Hitmontop and Quagsire! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and his two Pokémon emerged from inside.
"My Ursaring is a tough opponent to beat, and I'm gonna prove it to you! Ursaring! Use Shadow Break! Gyarados! Hyper Beam!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. Ursaring charges at Hitmontop with Shadow Break as Gyarados fired Hyper Beam.
"Dodge!" Wes called out. Quagsire and Hitmontop dodged their attacks. "Okay, Quagsire! Use Water Pulse on Gyarados! Hitmontop! Triple Kick on Ursaring!" Quagsire forms a ball of water and sends it at Gyarados while Hitmontop plowed into Ursaring with Triple Kick. "Use Low Sweep!"
"Shadow Break!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. Ursaring lands a Shadow Break onto Hitmontop, dealing some super-effective damage. "Gyarados! Use Ice Fang!" Gyarados came at Quagsire with Ice Fang and lands a bite.
"Quagsire! Water Pulse!" Wes ordered. Quagsire unleashed Water Pulse, hitting the Atrocious Pokémon, confusing it. Wes calls Quagsire back and took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Ampharos! Go!" Ampharos came out to battle. "Thunderbolt!" Ampharos fired Thunderbolt at Gyarados, dealing some additional damage.
"Hyper Beam!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. Gyarados attempts to fire Hyper Beam, but ends up hurting itself instead. Gyarados knocked itself out. He called Gyarados back and he took out another Pokéball and threw it. "I choose you, Dusknoir!" His Pokéball opened and a Dusknoir came out to battle. Wes called back Quagsire and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Umbreon! Go!" Wes called out. His Pokéball opened and his Umbreon emerged from inside. "Dark Pulse on Dusknoir!" Umbreon fired Dark Pulse at the Gripper Pokémon.
"Use your Shadow Ball!" The leading Team Shadow peon ordered. Dusknoir uses Shadow Ball to block Umbreon's Dark Pulse. An explosion occurred. "Shadow Punch!" Dusknoir lands a Shadow Punch onto Umbreon and Ampharos. "Shadow Break!" Ursaring rushed at Ampharos and lands a hit with Shadow Break.
"Thunderbolt and Dark Pulse!" Wes ordered. Both Pokémon fired Dark Pulse and Thunderbolt, hitting the bear-like Pokémon. Wes took out a Great Ball, converting it into a Snag Ball. He threw it at Ursaring, making it flow inside. The Great Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Wes's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Ursaring with him. He chose to send Ursaring to his ride. "Feint Attack!" Umbreon disappeared before he reappeared, hitting Dusknoir on the spot. "Thunder Punch!" Ampharos lands a Thunder Punch, knocking out Dusknoir.
"Not only you've beaten me, but you snagged my prized Ursaring!" The leading Team Shadow peon gasped.
"Don't worry, boss! We'll take him!" One of the other Team Shadow peons said, taking out a Pokéball. They all threw them, letting out a Heracross, an Absol, a Miltank, a Houndoom, and a Tropius. Rui looked at the four Pokémon and she gasped.
"All five of those Pokémon are Shadow Pokémon!" Rui said.
"Alright. You guys still good to go?" Wes asked. Umbreon and Ampharos nodded. "I thought so."
"Tropius! Use Shadow Storm!" One of the Team Shadow peons ordered.
"Houndoom! Use Shadow Blitz!" Another Team Shadow peon ordered.
"Miltank! Shadow Break!" Another Team Shadow peon ordered.
"Heracross! Shadow Rush!" Another Team Shadow peon ordered.
"Absol! Shadow End!" Another Team Shadow peon ordered.
The Shadow Pokémon each unleashed their Shadow attacks at the two opposing Pokémon.
"Dodge it! Hurry!" Wes called out. Umbreon managed to dodge, but Ampharos wasn't so fortunate when struck by Shadow Storm from Tropius and then by Shadow Rush from Heracross. Wes called Heracross back and took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Feraligatr! Go!" His Pokéball opened and Feraligatr emerged from inside.
"Again!" The Team Shadow peons ordered.
"Dodge it!" Wes called out. Umbreon and Feraligatr avoided their attacks with their incredible speed. "Feraligatr! Use Ice Fang on Tropius!" Feraligatr rushed at Tropius and lands an Ice Fang on the Shadow Fruit Pokémon, bring it down. Wes took out a Great Ball, converting it into a Snag Ball and threw it at Tropius. The Great Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Great Ball, confirming the catch. Wes sends Tropius to his ride.
"My Tropius!" The second Team Shadow peon gasped.
"They won't get away with that! Absol! Use Shadow End!" The sixth Team Shadow peon ordered. Absol charged at Feraligatr with Shadow End.
"Dodge and use Dragon Claw!" Wes ordered. Feraligatr narrowly dodged Absol's Shadow End and slashed at Absol with a Dragon Claw. Wes took out a another Great Ball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw it at Absol, making it flow inside. The Great Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Great Ball to confirm the catch. Wes sends Absol with the others.
"Houndoom! Fire Fang!" The third Team Shadow peon ordered. Houndoom charged at Umbreon with a Fire Fang.
"Feint Attack!" Wes ordered. Umbreon vanished and reappeared and lands a hit onto Houndoom. "Dark Pulse!" Umbreon unleashed Dark Pulse, hitting Houndoom. Wes took out another Great Ball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw the Great Ball, making Houndoom flow inside it. The Great Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Great Ball to confirm the catch. He sends Houndoom with the others.
"No! My Houndoom!" The third Team Shadow peon cried.
"Okay, that does it! Miltank! Use Rollout!" The fourth Team Shadow peon ordered.
"Use Heracross! Use Shadow Rush!" The firth Team Shadow peon ordered.
"Hydro Pump on Miltank! Feint Attack on Heracross!" Wes ordered. Feraligatr fired Hydro Pump at the Milk Cow Pokémon while Umbreon lands a hit onto Heracross with Feint Attack. Wes took out another Great Ball and he converted it into a Snag Ball and threw it at Miltank. The Great Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Great Ball to confirm the catch. He sends Miltank with the others, leaving Heracross. "Aqua Tail!" Feraligatr swings its tail, hitting Heracross. Wes took out one more Great Ball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw it, making Heracross flow inside. The Great Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Great Ball to confirm the catch.
"Not only he beat us, but he snagged our Shadow Pokémon, too!" The third Team Shadow peon exclaimed.
"We'll have to retreat!" The leading Team Shadow peon said. The others nodded and the other five ran ahead. He turned his head. "You win this one, but Lady Venus will destroy you if you're dumb enough to challenge her!" He ran off with his cohorts.
"Okay, that's six Shadow Pokémon I snagged while down here. Well, eight if you count Ledian and Sunflora," Wes said.
"That's gotta be a the most you've caught in a battle since the Battle Square," Rui said.
"You've said it. We can take these to the Relic Stone as soon as we drive out Venus," Wes said.
Just when they were about to use the UFO, they're attacked by the Heartless. The squad of Heartless consisted of Shadows, Soldiers, and Bandits.
"Not now!" Rui exclaimed.
"If Team Shadow won't get us, the Heartless will, unless we get them first," Wes said.
Wes and Rui summoned their Keyblades and engaged the attacking Heartless. Wes clashed against the Bandits' scimitars as Rui struck down the Soldiers. The Shadows slashed their claws at them, but Rui casts a fire spell, burning them all. Wes casts a blizzard spell, freezing them before he casts a stone spell to crush a handful of them. They kept fighting the Heartless until they were all destroyed.
"Those stupid Heartless," Rui said.
"We should go and deal with Venus right now," Wes said.
With that said, they put one of the discs to good use. He sees it's the F-Disc and placed it in. They got on the UFO and they go forward to the colosseum. They enter the colosseum with the receptionist at the counter..
"May I help you two?" The receptionist asked.
"Yes, I'm here to partake in the Colosseum," Wes requested.
"I'm sorry, sir, but the colosseum tournament is already in progress, and Lady Venus is already making preparations to present the winner of a prized Shadow Pokémon. You are welcome to wait in the front desk if you desire," the receptionist politely said.
With that said, Wes and Rui sat down in a nearby chair.
"You think she could be in the colosseum right now?" Rui asked.
"Unlikely. It would have been too easy. She has got to have herself a private place just so she wouldn't be bothered to look, and we have no idea where to look," Wes said.
A few minutes later, a girl came in with a piece of paper in her hand. She looked around and then spotted Wes and Rui. She approached them both.
"Excuse me, but are you Wes and Rui?" The girl asked.
"I'm Wes and she's Rui," Wes answered.
"Can we help you?" Rui asked.
"Someone gave me this note and asked me to give this to you. I didn't see who it was, because his face was shrouded in a hood," the girl said. Wes took the paper from her hand and he reads its contents.
The Team Shadow member, Venus is held up in the studio just on the side of the colosseum. Go there and confront her.

"That narrows it down," Wes said, handing Rui the note and she reads it. After reading it, she nodded with agreement.
"Is there something going on?" The girl asked.
"Nothing you need to concern yourself over," Wes said.
"You should go to your daily routine," Rui said.
They stepped out of the colosseum and head for the UFO. They used it to get back. Wes inserts the R-Disc and they go to the right. They reach the studio to the side, but Wes switches Feraligatr, Quagsire, Hitmontop, and Ampharos for Typlhosion, Jumpluff, Hariyama, and Entei, just in case. They entered inside and there was Lady Venus and her crew. The cameraman was adjusting his camera.
"Okay, folks. We're ready to go on the air!" The cameraman said. They had to make their move now, so they approached Venus when she was about to make another announcement.
"You two… You're holding up the film shoot. We're about to begin filming," Venus said. She gave off a puzzling and suspicious expression "…Wait, who are you?"
"Someone who's putting an end to your reign today," Wes said. She gasped when she finally realized who it was.
"Aak! I recognize those faces! Those faces were on the blacklist from Team Shadow Headquarters! How did you find us?! But that's not important now! I'll squash you myself and collect a reward from Master Nascour!" Venus said. She took out two Pokéballs and threw them. "Delcatty, Steelix! I choose you!" Wes took out two of his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Typhlosion, Hariyama! I choose you!" Wes called out. His two Pokémon emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"Steelix! Use Dragon Pulse on Typhlosion! Delcatty! Use Disarming Voice on Hariyama!" Venus ordered. Steelix unleashed Dragon Pulse while Delcatty unleashed Disarming Voice at Hariyama.
"Dodge them!" Wes called out. Typhlosion and Hariyama managed to dodge their attacks, much to Venus's annoyance.
"How dare you dodge me!" Venus angrily exclaimed.
"Typhlosion! Use Flamethrower on Steelix! Hariyama! Use Force Palm!" Wes ordered. Hariyama came at Delcatty and gave it a hit with Force Palm, resulting in paralysis. Typhlosion then fired Flamethrower at Steelix, dealing some heavy damage. "Flame Wheel!" Typhlosion rolls into a ball of fire and struck Steelix, resulting in a knockout. She called her Steelix back.
"You'll pay for that, you uncouth delinquent! She took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Banette! Go!" Her Pokéball opened and her Banette emerged from inside, ready to battle. Wes called back his Typhlosion and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Umbreon! Go!" Wes called out. Umbreon emerged from inside.
"Delcatty! Use Play Rough on Umbreon!" Venus ordered. Delcatty rushes at Umbreon with a Play Rough.
"Hariyama! Focus Blast!" Wes ordered. Hariyama focuses some energy and unleashed it at the Prim Pokémon, dealing some heavy damage. Delcatty was knocked out. She grew even more angry when she called back her Delcatty and she took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Vileplume! Go!" Venus called out. A female Vileplume emerged from inside, ready to battle. Wes called back Hariyama and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Espeon! Go!" Wes called out. His Pokéball opened and Espeon emerged from inside.
"Vileplume! Use Acid Spray on Umbreon! Banette! Use Shadow Claw on Espeon!" Venus ordered. Banette rushed at Espeon with Shadow Claw as Vileplume spewed Acid Spray at Umbreon.
"Dodge!" Wes called out. Both Pokémon managed to dodge their opponents' attacks.
"You're not pulling that on me again! Stun Spore!" Venus ordered. Vileplume unleashed Stun Spore at Espeon and Umbreon, but they managed to avoid the orange, sprinkling powder, allowing Banette to be paralyzed instead, much to her dismay. "Oh, my adorable Banette! Mommy is sorry!"
"Psybeam and Dark Pulse!" Wes ordered. Espeon and Umbreon unleashed Psybeam and Dark Pulse, hitting both Vileplume and Banette, knocking them both out. "Is that all you got 'mommy'?" Venus growled in anger.
"You are such a pain, and I refuse to tolerate you any further! It's time to end this with the beauty and grace of my final Pokémon!" Venus said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Suicune! Go!" Her Pokéball opened to reveal a Suicune. Rui looked right at Suicune and saw the aura.
"Wes! Suicune's a Shadow Pokémon!" Rui said.
"You got that right, little girl. You thought Dakim was the only one who had a legendary Pokémon? Well, I was given this Suicune as my own Shadow Pokémon and I'm going to use it to destroy you where you stand! Suicune! Shadow Chill!" Suicune has unleashed a dark version of an Ice Beam. Knowing what would happen, Wes had to act fast.
"Dodge it!" Wes called out. Espeon and Umbreon tried to dodge, but the Shadow Chill came too fast for them. Espeon and Umbreon were both knocked out. He called back his Espeon and Umbreon. "You both battled well, my friends. You've earned yourselves a good rest." Wes took out his Ultra Ball and a regular Pokéball and threw them. "Entei, Jumpluff! Go!" Both Pokémon emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"Entei? Wait, I know now. That's the same Entei you snagged from Dakim. And I thought that wildman was just a stupid fool," Venus said.
"If he's anything like you, you'll be losing this match," Wes said.
"Your brain must be mush. You should know Entei is at a disadvantage against a Water-type Pokémon like Suicune. And even with that Jumpluff helping you, you still have Shadow Chill to worry about," Venus reminded her opponent.
"You're right about that, Venus. Entei is at a disadvantage, but it's not types that win battles. It's heart. That's something I doubt you'd get," Wes said.
"Heart?" Venus scoffed. She then does her snobbish laugh. "Your brain is even more mashed up than I thought. What you say is all ridiculous nonsense. And I'm going to prove it to you by humiliating you in front of your little girlfriend and bring you over to Master Nascour for my reward! Suicune! Use Shadow Chill once again!" Suicune unleashed Shadow Chill once again.
"Entei! Sacred Fire!" Wes ordered. Entei unleashed a Sacred Fire and used it to block Suicune's Shadow Chill. Both legendary Pokémon held their attacks, pushing each other back, and not one giving the other an inch. "Jumpluff! Bounce!" Jumpluff jumped up and started to come down, hitting Suicune as Entei's Sacred Fire successfully struck Suicune. It does very little damage due to its resistance against Fire-type attacks.
"Is that the best your Pokémon can do? I am not impressed. Suicune! Use your Shadow Mist!" Venus ordered. Suicune unleashed a shadowy mist all around. "Now, use your Air Slash on Jumpluff!" Suicune unleashed Air Slash, hitting Jumpluff, resulting in a knockout. Wes called back Jumpluff. He took out Hariyama's Pokéball and threw it.
"Hariyama! Go!" Wes called out. Hariyama came out. "Force Palm!" Hariyama rushed at Suicune to land a Force Palm.
"Use Air Slash again!" Venus ordered. Hariyama came at Suicune and successfully lands a Force Palm, resulting in a paralysis. But Suicune unleashed another Air Slash, knocking out Hariyama. Wes called back Hariyama and he smiled.
"Great job, Hariyama. You paralyzed Suicune like I hoped you did. We'll handle the rest," Wes said, taking out another Pokéball and threw it. "Typhlosion!" His Pokéball came out and Typhlosion emerged from inside.
"Two Fire-type Pokémon for my Suicune to extinguish. Use your Hydro Pump!" Venus ordered. Suicune fired Hydro Pump right at Typhlosion.
"Dodge it!" Wes called out. Typhlosion ran to avoid Suicune's Hydro Pump.
"Shadow Chill!" Venus ordered. Suicune fired Shadow Chill at Typhlosion.
"Entei! Use your Flame Charge!" Wes ordered. Entei charges at Suicune and plowed into the Shadow Aurora Pokémon. This builds up Entei's speed.
"Shadow Chill!" Venus ordered. Suicune fired Shadow Chill at Entei.
"Flamethrower!" Wes ordered. Entei fired Flamethrower to block Suicune's Shadow Chill. "Typhlosion! You use Flamethrower, too!" Typhlosion fired Flamethrower, doubling the Flamethrower and pushes back Shadow Chill. The double Flamethrower combo overpowered the Shadow Chill, hitting Suicune on the mark. Wes saw how Suicune was taking a bad beating, so Wes took out an Ultra Ball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw it right at Suicune and it flowed inside. The Ultra Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Ultra Ball to confirm the catch. Wes's Pokémon Box goes off asking him if he wants to keep Suicune with him. He chose to send Suicune to his ride.
"I'm so glad that didn't go out live on the air!" Venus said. The staff were terrified to see she has lost.
"Oh no! Lady Venus was knocked down!" One of the cameramen gasped.
"Run away!" The woman said. And that's what they did. Venus growled in anger.
"Aiyeeeeh! How dare you! How could I get bested by a mere boy? Remember this! I'll get you back for this!" Venus then fled.
"She's getting away!" Rui said.
"Let's go after her!" Wes said.
With that said, Wes and Rui began to go after her, but that was before Rui found another one of the files regarding Shadow Pokémon. Deciding to read them later, Wes and Rui had to pursue Venus and stop her from escaping.
They chased Venus through the halls of the studio. Wes made a change of Pokémon, switching Typhlosion, Entei, Hariyama, and Jumpluff for Togetic, Noctowl, Misdreavus, and Furret, also, healing Espeon and Umbreon. Venus made her way to a steel stairway She entered the elevator and goes down in it.
"See if you track me now," Venus gloated. By the time Wes and Rui caught up with her, she disabled the elevator and continued to run. Wes tried to get it going and he growled in frustration. "The elevator's not working."
"She really doesn't want us to follow her," Rui said.
"No kidding. That's why she busted it. We're gonna have to follow her the old fashioned way," Wes said.
Just when they were going around, they're met with Flutterings and Neoshadows.
"Heartless!" Rui said.
"We don't have time to deal with you!" Wes said.
"Out of the way!" Rui said.
Wes and Rui summoned their Keyblades and they engaged the attacking Heartless. The Neoshadows jumped at them with their claws as the Flutterings flew at them. Wes and Rui managed to strike them down. They kept fighting the Heartless until they were defeated.
"Those Heartless might have slowed us down a bit, so we'll have to make up for it," Wes said.
"Right," Rui agreed.
"Not so fast!" A voice said. They spotted a Team Shadow peon. "The only way you're reaching the subway is getting through me!"
"If you're going to stand in our way, then you're going to retreat it," Wes said.
"We'll see about that," the Team Shadow peon said, taking out two Pokéballs and threw them. "Nuzleaf, Houndour! Go!" His Pokéballs opened and Nuzleaf and Houndour both emerged from inside. Wes took out two of his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Noctowl, Togetic! Go!" Wes called out. Both Noctowl and Togetic emerged from inside.
"Nuzleaf! Use Razor Leaf! Houndour! Use your Crunch on Noctowl!" The Team Shadow peon ordered. Nuzleaf fired Razor Leaf while Houndour charges at Noctowl.
"Fly!" Wes ordered. Noctowl and Togetic flew straight up in the air to avoid their attacks. "Noctowl! You come down at Nuzleaf! Togetic! You aim for Houndour!" Both Pokémon flew downwards and each have landed a hit on the both of them. Nuzleaf was knocked out due to its weakness to Flying-type attacks, so he called his Nuzleaf back and he took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Okay, Vigoroth! Go! His Pokéball opened, revealing a Vigoroth. "Use your Crush Claw!" Vigoroth came at Togetic with a Crush Claw.
"Togetic! Use Dazzling Gleam!" Wes ordered. Togetic unleashed Dazzling Gleam, hitting Vigoroth. "Noctowl! Use Wing Attack on Houndour!" Noctowl flew at Houndour, hitting the Dark Pokémon with its wings and resulted in a knockout. The Team Shadow peon called back his Houndour and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Delibird! You're going in next!" The Team Shadow peon called out. Rui looked right at Delibird and saw the black aura.
"Wes! Delibird is a Shadow Pokémon!" Rui said.
"Thanks for the heads-up," Wes said.
"Delibird! Use Shadow Rush on Togetic!" The Team Shadow peon ordered. Delibird charges at the Happiness Pokémon, dealing some heavy damage. Wes called Togetic back and he took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Espeon! Go!" Wes called out. His Pokéball opened and Espeon came back out to battle.
"Vigoroth! Use your Shadow Claw on Espeon!" The Team Shadow peon ordered. Vigoroth rushes at Espeon with Shadow Claw.
"Noctowl! Use Extrasensorary!" Wes ordered. Noctowl uses Extrasensory on the Wild Monkey Pokémon and slammed it down on the ground, hard. Vigoroth was knocked out. He called Vigoroth back.
"Delibird! Use Shadow Rush again, but aim it at Noctowl!" The Team Shadow peon ordered. Delibird came at the Owl Pokémon.
"I don't think so. Espeon! Use Psychic!" Wes ordered. Espeon uses Psychic to stop Delibird in its tracks. The Sun Pokémon slammed Delibird down on the ground, dealing some additional damage. Wes took out a Pokéball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw it right at Delibird. It flowed inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Wes chose to send Delibird to his ride.
"Oh no! My Delibird!" The Team Shadow peon cried. He ran off, scared. Wes called back Espeon and Noctowl.
After that was done, they went through the other door without any further delays. But as soon as they stepped in, they were spotted by a young woman on the steel stairway.
"Whoops! There were other spies!" The young woman said. She took out two of her Pokéballs and threw them. "Teddiursa, Shroomish! I choose you!" Her Pokéballs opened and her Teddiursa and Shroomish emerged from inside. Wes took out two Pokéballs and threw them.
"Furret, Misdreavus! Go!" Wes called out.
"Shroomish! Use Bullet Seed on Misdreavus! Teddiursa! Use Metal Claw on Furret!" The young woman ordered. Shroomish fired Bullet Seed at Misdreavus while Teddiursa came at Furret with Metal Claw.
"Furret! Iron Tail! Misdreavus! Use Shadow Ball!" Wes ordered. Furret dodged Teddiursa's Metal Claw and lands a hit with Iron Tail while Misdreavus fired a Shadow Ball, hitting Shrromish. The Little Bear and Mushroom Pokémon were both knocked out as she called them both back and took out two of her Pokéballs and threw them.
"Jigglypuff, Gligar! Go!" The young woman called out. Both Pokémon emerged from inside. Rui looked directly at Gligar.
"Wes! That Gligar is a Shadow Pokémon!" Rui said.
"Shadow Rush!" The young woman ordered. Gligar charges at Furret and deals some damage. "Jigglypuff! Use your Mega Punch!" Jigglypuff lands a Mega Punch onto Furret as well.
"Misdreavus! Use Power Gem on Jigglypuff!" Wes ordered. Misdreavus fired a Power Gem, hitting the Balloon Pokémon on the mark. "Furret! Use Iron Tail!" Furret rushed at Jigglypuff and lands an Iron Tail, knocking it out.
"Gligar! Use Shadow Hold!" The young woman ordered. Gligar unleashed a shadowy aura around Furret and Misdreavus.
"Shadow Hold? What does that do?" Wes asked.
"I'm glad you asked. Shadow Hold prevents any opponent from switching out. At least, that's what I was told," the young woman said.
"Is that supposed to scare me? I'm not intimidated," Wes said.
"Well, you're gonna wish that you are! Gligar! Shadow Rush!" The young woman ordered. Gligar charges right at Misdreavus.
"Use Psybeam!" Wes ordered. Misdreavus fired Psybeam and struck Gligar in the face.
"Furret! Use Slash!" Wes ordered. Furret jumped and slashed across the Fly Scorpion Pokémon. Wes took out a Pokéball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw it right at Gligar, making it flow inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Wes sends Gligar to his ride.
"Nooooo! I'm not supposed to lose! And I'm supposed to lose my prized Shadow Pokémon!I've won the Colosseum challenge!" The young woman exclaimed.
"Thems the breaks," Wes said, calling back his Misdreavus and Furret.
"If you're mean to me, I'm going to cry, okay?" The young woman asked.
"Don't cry. Please," Rui said.
"But I want to cry! Wah!" The young woman cried. They moved on to find another young woman had spotted them.
"What's the? What's this little boy and girl doing all the way down here? What's Frena doing on top?" The young woman asked.
"She was busy battling and she lost," Wes said.
"Is that so? Well, I won't be as easy as her, I can tell you that," the young woman said, taking out two of her Pokéballs and threw them. "Kirlia, Gloom! I choose you!" Her Pokéballs opened and her Gloom and Kirlia emerged from inside. Wes took out two of his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Espeon, Umbreon! Go!" Wes called out. Espeon and Umbreon emerged from inside.
"Gloom! Use Razor Leaf on Umbreon! Kirlia! Psybeam!" Gloom fired Razor Leaf while Kirlia fired Psybeam on Espeon!" The young woman ordered. Kirlia and Gloom fired their attacks at their opponents.
"Espeon! Use Psychic on Gloom's Razor Leaf and Umbreon! Use Dark Pulse!" Wes ordered. Umbreon unleashed Dark Pulse, cutting through Kirlia's Psybeam and lands a hit. Espeon sends Razor Leaf back at Gloom, dealing some damage on them.
"Gloom! Kirlia! Use Moonblast on Umbreon!" The young woman ordered. Kirlia and Gloom forms Moonblast in their hands and threw them, creating one giant, pink orb.
"I don't think so! Psychic!" Wes ordered. Espeon uses Psychic on pink orb and sent it back, hitting its owners. Kirlia and Gloom were both knocked out. She called them back and she took out two Pokéballs and threw them.
"You're not going to get away with that! Roselia! Stantler! Go!" The young woman called out. Her Pokéballs opened and a Roselia and a Stantler emerged from inside. Rui looked directly at Stantler.
"Wes! That Stantler is a Shadow Pokémon!" Rui said.
"My next target," Wes said.
"Stantler! Shadow Blitz! Roselia! Magical Leaf!" The young woman ordered.
"Psychic!" Wes ordered. Espeon uses Psychic to block Roselia's Magical Leaf. Espeon sent it back at the Thorn Pokémon, resulting in a knockout. "Feint Attack!" Umbreon came at Stantler with Feint Attack, dealing some damage. Stantler lands a hit with Shadow Blitz, hitting Umbreon.
"Use Shadow Blitz again! Aim at Espeon this time!" The young woman ordered. Stantler charges at Espeon.
"Psybeam!" Wes ordered. Espeon fired Psybeam, hitting Stantler on the mark. "Feint Attack again!" Umbreon lands another hit with Feint Attack, dealing some extra damage. Wes took out a Great Ball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw it right at Stantler, making it flow inside. The Great Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Great Ball to confirm the catch. Wes chose to send Stantler to his ride.
"Wh-What's with this ridiculous power?" The young woman asked in disbelief. "I know why Frena up top let you two through. Oh, I get it. I got it real good." They get closer to the ground level when a muscular woman sees them.
"Well, what do you know. I hardly thought I'd have to get involved in this," the muscular woman said.
"I won't think any less of you if you turn tail now," Wes said.
"And miss my shot with you? I wouldn't pass this over for the world," the muscular woman said, taking out two Pokéballs and threw them. "Octillery, Dunsparce! I choose you!" Her Pokéballs opened and her two Pokémon emerged from inside, ready to battle. Wes looked at Espeon and Umbreon who nodded at him. He nods back as they step in. "Octillery! Use Signal Beam on Espeon! Dunsparce! Use Dragon Rush on Umbreon!" Octillery fired Singal Beam right at Espeon and Dunsparce charges at Umbreon with Dragon Rush.
"Dodge and use Psybeam and Dark Pulse!" Wes ordered. Espeon and Umbreon dodged and fired Psybeam and Dark Pulse, hitting both of their opponents.
"Octazooka!" The muscular woman ordered. Octillery fired Octazooka at Espeon.
"Dodge it!" Wes called out. Espeon dodged Octillery's attack. "Psychic!" Espeon unleashed Psychic, grabbing Octillery. "Feint Attack!" Umbreon lands a hit with Feint Attack, hitting Dunsparce. Both Pokémon are knocked out, so she called them both back and took out two more Pokéballs and threw them.
"Masquerain, Piloswine! Go!" The muscular woman called out. A Masquerain and Piloswine emerged from inside. Rui sees the black aura on Piloswine.
"The Shadow Pokémon is that Piloswine!" Rui said.
"Seems like I'm on a roll today," Wes said.
"You're not gonna be rolling for long after I get done with you! Shadow Blitz! Silver Wind!" The muscular woman ordered. Masquerain unleashed a Silver Wind when Piloswine rushes at Umbreon.
"Use Dark Pulse!" Wes ordered. Umbreon fired Dark Pulse, hitting Masquerain. Wes called back Umbreon and he took out Furret's Pokéball and threw it. "Furret! Iron Tail on Piloswine! Espeon! Use Psychic Fangs on Masquerain!" Espeon rushed at Masquerain and land a bite with Psychic Fangs while Furret land a hit with Iron Tail. Piloswine has taken a lot of damage due to its weakness to Steel-type moves.
"Don't take that laying down! Masquerain! Use your Quick Attack! Piloswine! Ice Fang!" The muscular woman ordered. Masquerain and Piloswine came at their opponents with Quick Attack and Ice Fang.
"Espeon! Use Psychic on Piloswine! Furret! Fury Swipes on Masquerain!" Wes ordered. Furret came at Masquerain and gave the Eyeball Pokémon several scratches as Espeon uses Psychic to slam Piloswine down. Masquerain was knocked out. Wes took out a Great Ball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw it right at Piloswine, making it flow inside. The Great Ball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Great Ball to confirm the catch. Wes chose to send Piloswine to his ride.
"I never, ever thought I'd take a fall this easily!" The muscular woman exclaimed. Wes called Espeon and Furret back. "I'm a loser. I can't show my face in front of Lady Venus like this..."
Wes and Rui climbed down the stairs and saw the tunnel leading to the train, but a young woman is blocking the way.
"Forget about getting past me. I'll protect Lady Venus from you!" The young woman said.
"You'll try," Wes said.
"We're gonna see about that!" The young woman said, taking out two of her Pokéballs and threw them. "Corsola! Seviper! I choose you!" Her Pokéballs opened to reveal a Corsola and a Seviper from inside. Wes took out two of his Pokéballs and threw them.
"Noctowl, Furret! Go!" Wes called out. Noctowl and Furret emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"Corsola! Use Water Pulse! Seviper! Iron Tail!" The young woman ordered. Seviper came at Furret with Iron Tail while Corsola unleashed Water Pulse at Noctowl.
"Fly and Dig!" Wes ordered. Furret digs underground while Noctowl flew up in the air, both avoiding their opponents' attacks. Furret came from underneath Corsola and lands a hit, making the Coral Pokémon take some heavy damage due to its weakness against Ground-type attacks and Noctowl lands a hit on Seviper with Fly. "Iron Tail!" Furret lands another hit on Corsola with Iron Tail. Corsola was knocked out. She calls back her Corsola and took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Loudred! Go!" The young woman called out. A Loudred came out to battle. "Seviper! Use Poison Fang on Furret! Loudred! Use Focus Punch on Noctowl!" Loudred begins to build up focus to use on the Owl Pokémon when Seviper rushed at Furret.
"Dodge and use Slash!" Wes ordered. Furret swiped its paws at Seviper, dealing some damage. "Noctowl! Extrasensorary on Loudred!" Noctowl grabs Loudred with Extrasensorary and slammed it right on Seviper. She called them both back.
"Try this on for size!" The young woman said, calling back her two fallen Pokémon. "Sneasel! Go!" Her Pokéball opened and a Sneasel emerged from inside. Rui looked at Sneasel and saw the black aura.
"Sneasel is a Shadow Pokémon, Wes!" Rui said.
"Right," Wes said. Knowing, Noctowl's Extrasensorary won't affect Sneasel, he took out Noctowl's Pokéball and called the Owl Pokémon back. He took out Togetic's Pokéball and threw it. "Togetic! Go!" Togetic emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"Sneasel! Shadow Blitz!" The young woman ordered. Sneasel came at Togetic with Shadow Blitz.
"Dodge and use Dazzling Gleam!" Wes ordered. Togetic dodged Sneasel's attack and lands a Dazzling Gleam on the Sharp Claw Pokémon, dealing some heavy damage. "Furret! Use Iron Tail!" Furret came at Sneasel and lands an Iron Tail onto Sneasel. That dealt some damage on the Sharp Claw Pokémon. Wes took out a Pokéball and converted it into a Snag Ball. He threw it right at Sneasel, making it flow inside. The Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Wes chose to send Sneasel to his ride.
"Someone please protect me!" The young woman gasped. "This makes me feel like going somewhere far bt train..." Wes and Rui entered the train station and spotted Venus with two female Team Shadow peons.
"Before that horrible boy can meddle anymore, I'll link up with Ein at the Shadow Pokémon Lab!" Venus said.
"I'm sure he's anxiously waiting for you, Venus," Wes said, catching her by surprise. She and the two female Team Shadow peons spotted them.
"Eek! Eek! Oh, why did you have to chase me here?! It's so unfair! …Tch. This isn't good. I can't lead them to the Lab…" Venus said as she and the two female Team Shadow peons entered the train. Wes and Rui chased her inside, but they saw she wasn't aboard.
"Where did she go?" Rui asked.
"She must have gotten off when we were getting on," Wes said as he and Rui exited the train and saw them. Venus gave off her snobbish laugh.
"You are so easy to dupe! See?" Venus gloated, holding up a key. "The key for the Shadow Liner is right here. You didn't think I would really let you take our train? Beh! Bye-bye, and this time I mean it! Don't you dare forget about me!" She and the two Team Shadow peons ran away out of the subway, so Wes and Rui chased after her, but they were long gone, but not the key.
"She must not have been too bright. She must have dropped this when they were making their getaway," Wes said. He looked at Rui. "We can use this to get to their lab and pull the plug from there."
"Yes, let's do it," Rui said.
Wes and Rui boarded the Shadow Liner and used it to ride to the lab. Along the way, they read the file they found before chasing after Venus.
Some interesting discoveries were made about the purification process. There are several ways to cause the opening of the heart's door, and the resulting effects appear to differ with the original nature of the Pokémon. Also, as the purification process advances, the Shadow Pokémon regains its moves and its original nature. When the purification process is complete, the Pokémon regains all the experience it has accumulated, perhaps even enough to grow stronger than before. By effectively using these features, it may be possible to create even more powerful Shadow Pokémon.

They soon arrived to the lab. They found the remaining discs for the UFO while inside. They departed from the train and saw two Team Shadow peons coming. They stopped in their tracks when they saw Wes and Rui.
"Yo, how's it going? Just getting off shift?" One of the Team Shadow peons asked when he got a good look at them. "Huh? Wasn't Lady Venus supposed to be coming?"
"She couldn't make it, so she sent us in her place," Rui said. The other Team Shadow peon took a good look at her.
"Huh? Hmm... I've seen your faces somewhere..." The second Team Shadow peon said, stroking his chin. He gasped when he realized who it was. "That's it! The blacklist! You're Wes and Rui! How did you get down here?!"
"Wouldn't you idiots be surprised," Wes said.
"Argh! This won't do! We can't let these two get into the Shadow Pokémon Lab!" The second Team Shadow peon exclaimed. They ran towards the door and walked inside it. Wes and Rui gave chase, but an explosion occurred and the door ends up being destroyed. They stepped inside and they saw the floor was destroyed, blocking their way in.
"Damn! They caused the explosion just so we couldn't pursue them!" Wes said.
"You got that right! Take that and weep! You'll never be able to chase us now!" The second Team Shadow peon gloated.
"Wh-Whoa... Don't you think that was overdoing things a little?" The first Team Shadow peon asked.
"It's too late now! Come on, let's skedaddle!" The second Team Shadow peon said as they retreated by the stairs.
"This is great. They made it to safety while we're stuck," Rui said.
"Don't even sweat it, Rui. We're just gonna have to find another way around, that's all. Besides, we should let Silva out and purify the Shadow Pokémon we already snagged before we do anything else," Wes said.
Knowing Wes was right, Rui nodded with agreement. So they went back to where they came from. By the time they escaped, word got around that Venus had fled. The Kids Grid had told Wes and Rui that Silva had escaped when he got tired of waiting. They went in the elevator and headed for the vehicle to make their next move. They rode out to Agate and brought the Shadow Pokémon to the Relic Stone to begin the purification process. Wes blew on the Time Flute, summoning Celebi. Celebi came to Ledian, Sunflora, Ursaring, Tropius, Houndoom, Heracross, Miltank, Absol, Suicune, Delibird, Gligar, Stantler, Piloswine, and Sneasel, freeing them from the Organization's control.
With that accomplished, the Kids Grid Network is up and running, and their next stop is the Shadow Pokémon Lab. What sort of nasty surprise awaits them in the lab? Just stay tuned if you wish to find out.
