We got pretty far on this AI rewrite, but something tells me I won't be able to get Chapter 13 entirely done this weekend. It's what it is.

Still, things have worked out so far.

If chapters grow too big, we'll cut them up as well. I try not to go over 20K

Chapter thirteen: 24/11/2019

Minato and Tsukiumi were on the train home after spending their weekend at the beach. They had enjoyed their time together, giving Minato valuable insight into the care his other Sekirei needed, especially considering how he had been looking out for Ichika.

Only now, his attention had been primarily on Tsukiumi, unaware of the events at the ISA or the challenges Ichika faced.

Being engrossed in the joy of spending time with Tsukiumi, who had eagerly anticipated this getaway, Minato realized the impact of his actions. Life could be the source of many challenges, but he resolved to pay attention to his Sekirei.

This experience reminded Minato to watch them closely and cherish what he already had. He was now determined to protect them more diligently.

His Water Maiden slept against his shoulder on the train, mirroring his exhaustion. Drained, Minato, too, fell asleep, leaning into the comfort of their shared warmth.

Eventually, the train reached its final stop, and they returned to Tokyo.

"So, back home," Tsukiumi lamented, a sentiment Minato couldn't help but echo. The excitement of a holiday was unparalleled, and the return home always carried a hint of melancholy.

"Indeed. But we must, or would you rather we move to Okinawa once I'm done?" Minato teased, entertaining the thought more seriously than he let on. With an MBI card, financial concerns were nonexistent.

"Art thou jesting? How couldst thou work for MBI from Okinawa?" Tsukiumi retorted, prompting a laugh from Minato.

"Perhaps another time. For now, let's head home. I need to wash our clothes, and you have your duties to our other Sekirei," Minato replied, steering the conversation back to their immediate responsibilities.

With that, they made their way home, and soon, Maison Izumo came into view.

"Minato, it has been a truly wonderful experience. For that, I am grateful," Tsukiumi said, her voice laced with sincerity and playful sarcasm. A bright and teasing smile danced across her face, eliciting a sigh from Minato at his tsundere's words.

"Thank you, Tsukiumi. When it's your turn again, we'll spend another day like this. But for now, we must face the music."

As the door swung open, Minato announced their return with a simple yet significant phrase, "We're home."

That moment, they marked the beginning of the household's lively welcome. Sharing a glance with Tsukiumi, both understood immediately—their home was about to become a whirlwind of greetings and reunions.

Minato anticipated the familiar chaos, yet he was surprised when a blur of blonde energy and a flutter of green fabric enveloped him. "Big brother!"

Kusano's voice rang out as she launched herself into his arms. Skillfully, Minato caught her, ensuring she was upside down yet safely away from any potential collision with the ceiling.

"Hey, Ku-chan," he greeted warmly, returning her hug. Then, feeling her soft kiss, he heard her say, "I missed you, big brother." The sincerity in Kusano's voice was palpable, her affection for her Ashikabi overriding all else, determined not to let him go.

Musubi soon joined the reunion, whose presence Kusano acknowledged with a sense of shared affection that required her to step aside. As Kusano was gently placed back on the ground, Minato's attention shifted to Musubi with a smile. "Hello, Musubi. Missed me?"

Without hesitation, Musubi leaped into his arms, embracing him with an intensity that left no room for doubt. "I missed you, Minato," she declared, her warmth and enthusiasm pressing close against him.

Minato couldn't help but smile at her heartfelt embrace, the comfort and affection between them palpable and pure.

"Happy to be home, Musubi," Minato said warmly. In response, Musubi looked up at him and kissed him passionately with affection, her arms wrapped tightly around him. A blush painted her cheeks as she pulled away, mirroring Minato's flushed and slightly dazed expression.

"Minato, I shall attend to unpacking and laundering our clothes. Thou bear responsibilities towards thy Sekirei," Tsukiumi announced, acknowledging their strong bond with a knowing glance.

Musubi and Kusano silently appreciated her understanding of their longing for their lover.

"Thank you, Tsukiumi," Minato expressed his gratitude. As Tsukiumi walked past, she paused to share a moment of connection, "Minato. Thank you for the wonderful trip."

With these parting words, Minato, flanked by Kusano under his right arm and Musubi on his left, returned to the heart of their home.

Entering the dining room, they were greeted by the sight of Uzume and Chiho. Uzume, with a playful smirk, nudged Chiho, who then eagerly approached Minato.

"I missed you, big guy," Chiho exclaimed, her embrace a testament to Minato's physical resilience. Musubi stepped aside as Minato adeptly managed to hold both Chiho and Kusano, their reunion marked by heartfelt kisses that deepened their connection.

"Happy to be back home, Chiho," Minato replied, his smile conveying his genuine joy.

After gently setting Chiho down, Minato prepared himself for Uzume's embrace. Their greeting escalated quickly, with Uzume boldly expressing her desire through a kiss that stirred Minato's instincts. His response, a playful yet bold touch on her bum, elicited a surprised yelp from Uzume, her reaction a mix of shock and delight. "You can't expect me not to retaliate. I had a hunch you missed me, Uzume," Minato teased, his smirk reflecting their playful rapport.

As they settled down together, the atmosphere was comfort and reunion. Musubi claimed her spot on Minato's left leg, Uzume on his right, with Kusano sitting on his lap. Chiho, not to be left out, held onto his arm, marking her place within the circle.

"So, how were things?" Minato inquired, his voice a mixture of curiosity and affection as he sought to reconnect and share the experiences of those he cherished.

"You haven't heard?" Chiho inquired a hint of surprise in her voice. Minato, puzzled, shook his head. "I needed a break, wanted to go offline for a bit."

"Things have escalated, Minato. At the school, the situation deteriorated rapidly," Chiho explained, prompting a concerned furrow in Minato's brow.

"How severe are we talking?" Minato pressed for details, sensing the gravity of her tone.

"It's serious, Minato. Matsu's been hit hard by the events," Chiho elaborated, turning to Takehito for confirmation. The scientist, bearing a solemn expression, took a seat before Minato.

"Is Matsu all right?" Concern overshadowed Minato's initial curiosity, fearing the worst for his Sekirei amidst his absence.

"She's okay, just exhausted. But let's say Ichika gave her quite the fright," Takehito reassured, easing some of Minato's worries.

"What exactly happened?" Minato's anxiety deepened, eager for the whole story.

Kazehana's arrival, marked by her distinctive voice, offered no comfort. "What didn't go wrong?" she asked, her presence drawing attention as Kusano and the others allowed her to take the lead.

"Kazehana, can you explain?" Minato asked, though her silence spoke volumes. Offering a comforting embrace, he gently circled her back, seeking to soothe her distress.

A tense five minutes passed, the air heavy with unspoken fears. "Will someone clarify what occurred? Matsu's condition has me worried, and the lack of information is unsettling," Minato implored, his concern palpable.

Kazehana, sensing his distress, finally responded. "No, no one died," she assured him before handing him Matsu's phone. "You should see this for yourself."

"Kazehana, you know Matsu values her privacy," Minato reminded gently, though his curiosity was piqued.

"I believe she'll understand. This is something you need to read," Kazehana insisted, her smile reassuring.

Minato, now holding the phone, glanced at the screen to find a message from Ichika dated Sunday evening, the contents of which promised to shed light on the unfolding drama.

Hey Matsu.

You're more than just a guardian angel. You're a cyber one.

You're the one that took Bodewig down when she went outraged. I am so sorry for asking you to watch over me. Without your help, no one could have guessed how it would go.

I seriously owe you for this thing.

I can't say more than this—one big thank you.

Ichika Orimura.

He glanced at Kazehana, who let out a weary sigh. "I took it upon myself to respond. Matsu was a hero; she saved countless lives but at a great cost to herself. She's okay, Minato. Her collapse was due to exceeding her limits, not a lack of strength," she explained, noticing Minato's guilt-ridden gaze. Gently, she guided his face back to hers.

"Do not blame yourself, my husband. The disaster was unforeseeable, and Matsu will recover. She's resting now, having used her powers beyond their limits. She's asked for something specific—a ride, implying she has a particular recovery in mind, and for that, we need to be energized."

Minato then looked to Uzume for her take, and she reassuringly waved off any concern. "Don't worry, we've all given our consent for it. Just remember, it needs to happen this week. In two weeks, we have our trip planned," she reminded, with Chiho nodding in agreement.

This arrangement was part of the guidelines Minato had established. In addition to allowing personal dates and the freedom to choose companions, the Sekirei had reached a consensus. It was permissible if one desired a 'ride' before a date, provided the others had mutual consent.

It meant that they went to a love hotel and had sex there. It was something that Minato could understand.

They didn't use it often as most preferred dates above just having sex, but when they wanted to get laid, that was the easiest thing to do.

Minato also had to agree.

"Understood, Kazehana. But let's not plan for today or tomorrow. I need rest as well," Minato consented, acknowledging the arrangement.

"That suits me fine. Matsu isn't in any condition to be up and about, either. And about Ichika, he's regretful for what happened to Matsu, but as I've reassured him, you shouldn't worry either," Kazehana conveyed, offering Minato a comforting perspective.

"It's probably for the best that you were away, Minato. The situation escalated beyond control," she added, with the others nodding in agreement.

"You'll want to check on Ichika when you can, but for now, you're staying put," Kazehana declared. Minato's curiosity was met with swift action as he was escorted to his bedroom, surrounded by his Sekirei, who had missed him dearly over the past three days. Minato's smile was inevitable.

Being enveloped in a bed by his caring Sekirei was the perfect way to unwind.

Meanwhile, Tsukiumi hummed a tune as she busied herself with the laundry, appreciating the quiet moment to herself, knowing the others were preoccupied. With the laundry underway, she anticipated a relaxing bath, enjoying the solitude.

"So, you're back." The voice came from Homura, greeting Tsukiumi with distinctive silver hair and black eyes.

"Hello, Homura," she responded warmly, finishing up with the clothes.

"I take it the trip was enjoyable?" Homura inquired with a hint of curiosity.

"Indeed. Minato has once again demonstrated his dedication as my husband," Tsukiumi affirmed, her smile reflecting her contentment.

Kagari, sharing a knowing grin, was aware of Minato's whereabouts but chose patience, a virtue not all shared as eagerly as Tsukiumi.

"So, not jealous that you lost him as soon you walked through the door?"

The Water Woman shrugged. "What can one change? Either way, I have a bath without getting felt up. Which is what I am going to do." Without saying, Tsukiumi would soak in the warm water. She enjoyed it and knew that her womanhood needed time to heal from this.

It was a great trip, sure, but it was exhausting. And now she understood how Minato felt about pausing dates. His junk needed to heal, and she found the saying. Too much of one thing is good for nothing. She closed her eyes.

She wasn't worried about anything. She wasn't sure if she was pregnant. If it didn't work now, it was later. It was better often than a lot at once. In the bath, she enjoyed herself.

She wasn't leaving the bath soon and enjoyed the hot water around her body. When she was done, she returned to her quarters and slept in the room. For now, she could have those concubines enjoy themselves.

Minato slept as well as soundly as he could. He'd look at his mail later, but now, he wanted to rest between his lovers' arms.

As Miya returned from shopping, she expected the usual bustle upon Minato and Tsukiumi's return. Yet, the unusual silence greeted her as she entered the house piqued her curiosity. Venturing into the living room, she found Takehito absorbed in the day's news.

"Hello, Miya," greeted Takehito, looking up from his newspaper with a hint of mischief in his eyes.

"Hasn't Minato come back yet? Was there a delay with the train?" Miya inquired, her concern evident until she caught the teasing glint in her husband's gaze.

"No need for worry. Minato has indeed returned with Tsukiumi. It seems their bed holds the comfort unmatched by any other. He's been swept off his feet by five of his Sekirei, all eager to 'recharge' with what Matsu has coined 'Mina-energy,'" Takehito explained, his tone light with amusement.

Miya raised an eyebrow. "Five?"

"Indeed, Kusano, Musubi, Uzume, Chiho, and Kazehana have all taken their share of Minato's time. Matsu is still recovering from her ordeal; we plan to rouse her with dinner. Kagari has sequestered herself with a book, and Tsukiumi mentioned letting the others rest. Which means our household is currently enveloped in a rare moment of tranquility," Takehito detailed, a smile playing on his lips.

"It means that I'll prepare dinner for them."

Understanding the cue, Miya moved towards the kitchen, thinking about preparing a warm meal for when the household awoke.

However, her journey was halted by Takehito, who gently caught her wrist, his smirk now fully bloomed.

"I think not," he teased, drawing her closer.

Caught in the playful standoff, Miya couldn't help but retort with amusement and feigned exasperation, "And how do you propose we uphold any semblance of decorum if you're suggesting we engage in such carnal arts in the living room?"

With a smirk, Takehito began to kiss his wife. She found her air cut off and began kissing her husband back. They had to make up for the lost time.

It had been years for them. So, while Miya wanted to struggle, she found herself drawn to her husband's touch. Neither aged one day from when the disaster happened. So they had been going on this bond.

Miya grinned as her husband's fingers slipped in beneath. She didn't wear underwear in comfortable clothes, so it was easier for him. Miya broke down on her husband's lap, and she could feel herself becoming hot and bothered.

He had experience, sure, and he knew how to tease her. She blushed and couldn't help but mewl as he began to explore. His fingers were long, and they knew where to touch for the most fun. He wasn't going to let her have fun.

Takehito teased his wife with a smirk, knowing everything he had learned. They had consummated their marriage years ago. So, before long, Miya's moans began to resonate, not helping his arousal.

He knew where to press on her to make her shudder like a leaf. He also kissed her mouth and teased her. Still, she smiled at him. His hand got a bit wet, as well. Miya didn't get wholly soaked on him. Even some bits flew over him. The man smiled at her, and he couldn't help but enjoy the feeling more in her body.

Miya moaned against his mouth as she bit on his kimono, hoping to keep the moans in her body. But Takehito just smirked as he began to feel her up more.

When he pressed on the right place, his wife came undone on him. His finger retreated out, and he looked at her. She nodded and lowered herself on him.

Both weren't love-struck teens, but they had a severe amount of hormones to burn. Miya smiled as she kissed her husband, growling in the kiss.

Takehito enjoyed the feeling of Miya more than he should. There was a ton, both owned by Minato and his Sekirei. They changed fate, and that was great for the two.

Takehito held off the sex till Minato got home. The Sekirei were sexually frustrated enough, and not being around Minato was even worse. Miya felt herself growing used to the lovemaking, and a quickie in the living room was a great pick-me-up.

To her chagrin, she could get used to more of those.

They softly worked each other up, and when some could see how Miya was on her husband's lap, one wondered what sort of a guy this was.

Takehito rutted in her body and buried herself in the bosom of his wife. She wasn't huge like Matsu or Kazehana, but she had a beautiful set of tits. That was something none could argue about.

That was great to feel in, and he found that Miya clenched up at him. With a smirk, he saw it even more fun to do.

When Takehito hitched a breath, she made the most of it and got her orgasm while she could feel her lover's release.

"Trying to get me pregnant?" She giggled but stopped when she saw his face.

Serious.

"Yes." He answered, and he pressed more in the kiss. When he was sure that she had him, he broke it off.

"With Minato and his Sekirei gone sooner than later, this house will be quiet. So yeah, I'd like to have a child around." Miya's stupor broke out as she looked at her husband.

"Dear, you'll have enough test subjects on Sahashi and his kids. No reason for us to make one." Miya yelped as she found a soft bite.

"I want to have kids. You and I have been separated for a long enough time, and I want to have children to keep this house full of laughter. It hadn't died here when I was gone; I don't want it to die out. It'll be more than just interesting. Those Sekirei will be the first ones born on this planet. So yeah, I want to see that happening." Takehito said, and with his wife's smile, he returned it.

Taking the most active being in his arms, Takehito walked to his bedroom. She could nap now, and he could take care of dinner. It looks like sukiyaki was on the menu — one great way to eat, although it wasn't wintering to eat it yet.

He was sure that they could use it later.

Hours later, Minato stirred from his slumber to find his movements restricted, a realization that dawned on him as he glanced upwards—not that he saw the situation bothersome. The warmth of his Sekirei, who had ingeniously tied him to the bed, offered a comforting embrace. Their peaceful faces brought a smile to his lips.

Takehito's voice broke the tranquility from the doorway, "Looks like you slept well."

"Yep. Slept like the dead," Minato responded, his gaze drifting to his companions, noting the cozy arrangement of their forms around him. Kuu, in particular, seemed to have claimed him as her oversized pillow.

A smirk played across Minato's lips as he pondered the future, potentially filled with children's laughter. The idea of managing a household burgeoning with offspring was daunting yet amusing.

"Indeed, they've missed you. But there's the matter with Ichika. Matsu's been hit hard; it's time she was roused," Takehito remarked, grounding the conversation back to the present.

Minato's expression faltered slightly, burdened by the weight of recent events. "Kid. Don't beat yourself up over this. None of us could have predicted what transpired, and we owe Matsu our gratitude for her vigilance. The outcome could have been dire."

Acknowledging Takehito's words, Minato felt comfort as the Sekirei began to stir at Takehito's voice, announcing, "Look, you girls best get up. Dinner is getting cold."

One by one, the Sekirei awakened, their expressions lighting up upon seeing Takehito.

"Good day, Takehito," greeted Kazehana, her grin wide.

"Morning, Takehito," Uzume chimed in, stretching languidly.

"Good morning, doctor Takehito," Musubi added, gently releasing Minato's arm.

"Morning, doctor," Kusano murmured sleepily, snuggling closer to Minato.

"Hello, Takehito," came Chiho's greeting, positioning herself on Minato's other side.

As each Sekirei offered their morning salutations, Takehito watched with a smirk, the scene before him a testament to the unique bond shared within their household.

The scene continues to unfold with Takehito observing the intimate and caring moments shared between Minato and his Sekirei, unable to suppress a grin at the affection displayed by Uzume.

The warmth of these interactions never failed to amaze him, highlighting the incredible bond Minato had cultivated with each of his Sekirei.

As the group proceeded into the living room, Minato paused at Matsu's resting area, noticing the need for fresh air.

The stagnant atmosphere was a stark contrast to the vibrant energy of the household. Approaching the futon shielded by dark screens, Minato found Matsu, the cyber maiden, enveloped in the stillness of her digital realm yet clad in the simplicity of her nightclothes.

Gently, Minato nudged Matsu, his voice soft yet firm, "Matsu. Hey, Matsu. Wake up," as he attempted to rouse her from her deep slumber. Despite his efforts, she remained unresponsive, her body tensing slightly but without awakening.

In a moment of intuition, Minato leaned closer, cradling her face in his hands, and tenderly pressed his lips against hers. This act, filled with concern and affection, seemed to bridge the gap between sleep and wakefulness, serving as a conduit for what Minato humorously referred to as 'Mina-energy.'

At the kiss, Matsu's eyes fluttered open, a smile gracing her lips as she greeted her husband. The scene was a poignant reminder of the deep connections and mutual support that defined their collective life, a testament to the unique and powerful bonds that Minato had forged with each of his Sekirei.

"Mina-tan, good morning," Matsu greeted softly. Before she could continue, Minato enveloped her in a tight embrace, his concern palpable.

"I've been told about your heroics and the toll it took on you. I'm deeply sorry. If only I had been here," he confessed, the weight of his absence hanging heavily in his words.

Matsu returned his embrace with a warm smile, tenderly capturing his face and planting another kiss.

"Mina-tan, don't burden yourself with what-ifs. I did what was necessary to protect Ichika-tan and everyone else. That's what mattered, right?" Her voice was reassuring as she gently reminded him of the unpredictability of their situation.

She kissed him once more, a gesture filled with affection and understanding. Pulling back, she offered him a comforting smile.

"I was never in real danger, just in need of rest. And remember, our family here looks out for one another. That's what families do, Mina-tan. Never forget that," she affirmed, reinforcing the strength of their bonds.

Sealing her assurance with another kiss, Minato lifted her in his arms, a determined look on his face. "I appreciate that, but you're taking it easy from now on. Kazehana mentioned your request for a ride. We'll see to it, but not until Friday. I need to gather some strength first,"

He stated firmly, setting a gentle but clear boundary for her recovery.

As Minato settled Matsu in the living room and took his seat, Tsukiumi emerged, sharing a tender kiss with Minato. She supported the collective decision for enjoyment but expressed her desire not to be sidelined in the shared moments. Kagari, too, voiced her agreement, ensuring her inclusion in the family's plans.

The atmosphere of the evening took on a richer, more vibrant texture as the group settled into the warmth and camaraderie of their shared space.

The sight of Takehito carrying Miya, her face adorned with a blush that radiated her joy, added a layer of gentle amusement and affection to the group.

It was an unspoken acknowledgment of the couple's discreet escapade, met with smiles rather than words, a testament to the deep bond and understanding shared within the household.

Dinner unfolded with an animated recounting of the beach trip, the tales filled with laughter and occasional nostalgia.

Musubi's disappointment at missing Kaho was palpable, yet Minato's assurance of a future visit from Kaho lifted her spirits, weaving anticipation into the fabric of their conversation.

The narrative took a humorous turn, mentioning Shigi and Kuno, adding a layer of lighthearted banter to the meal.

These stories, filled with the quirks and adventures of their extended family, underscored Minato's decision to recharge to ensure he could be the pillar they all relied upon.

Kusano, nestled comfortably in Minato's lap, shared her own experience, her voice a mixture of awe and relief as she recounted how Laura's transformation was shielded from her view.

The revelation and Kagari's presentation of a cellphone image that captured the incident sent Minato a ripple of curiosity and concern.

The online buzz surrounding Laura's predicament and her subsequent protection by Chifuyu Orimura underscored the gravity of the situation outside their immediate circle.

With Kusano's head resting on his shoulder, her steady breathing a sign of deep sleep, Minato recognized the need to delve into the digital world for answers.

Yet, his responsibility as a caregiver and brother took precedence, ensuring Kusano was comfortably tucked in bed before he allowed himself to be consumed by the urgency of his online investigation.

The silence enveloped the room as Minato opened his laptop. It was palpable, a collective breath held in anticipation. The moment he accessed his mail, the tension seemed to find its release in the message's subject line awaiting him.

Update: I'm still alive.

Minato began to read the mail.

What's up, brother? I'll let you know I'm still alive; it got close.

Once again, one big thanks to Matsu-san for helping me out. I heard from Kazehana-san that she collapsed. Tell her that I'm sorry for that and that I am forever grateful to her.

Matsu beamed and asked her phone back. Kazehana kept it around.

Laura got better from the attack, and I owe you for having a cyber guardian angel, if I can call her that.

I got off relatively free from the whole mess, which went well. Luckily, I didn't get killed, but it got too close for comfort.

Meanwhile, I can ask Matsu-san to lay off the search for Charlotte. There is only a little I need to find out if it is to get after her father. I can say that Charlotte is one sweet girl, and I have seen it friendly to have a Pilot who didn't want to kill me.

As for Laura, she got out of the mess, and Chifuyu-nee gave her the message that she had to leave me alone. I have proven my worth. She and I chatted, which was way overdue, brother. We both came clean and for now, things have gone better.

Till this morning. Oh, brother. It would be best if you had been there. Let me tell you what happened there.

Line break. In the ISA.

Ichika thought that reintroducing Charlotte could potentially stir chaos, compelling him to insist on his sister's presence as a deterrent.

"Why do you think I need to be there?" Chifuyu inquired with a deadpan expression, only to be met by her brother's mischievous grin. "They'll kill me. With you around, they might think twice. Charlotte's reintroducing herself as a girl, and frankly, I prefer not to meet my demise,"

Ichika explained, his concern genuine, highlighting his reluctance to face the situation without his sister's support.

"That's highly unlikely. I expect them to handle the situation maturely," Chifuyu reassured, albeit prematurely.

Upon their entry, the sight that greeted them—a wall demolished and Rin, her Infinite Stratos suit activated and ready for combat—immediately challenged her assumption.

"You were saying?" Ichika glanced at his sister, a mix of I-told-you-so and apprehension in his eyes.

"I'm starting to understand your concerns," Chifuyu conceded, just as Rin directed her cannon at Ichika, poised to attack.

The imminent threat was neutralized by Laura's intervention, earning a relieved sigh from Ichika. "I owe you one," he acknowledged, only to be caught off guard by Laura's aggressive declaration of possession, her actions leaving no room for doubt or discussion.

"You're my wife now. No objections allowed," she proclaimed, a statement that threw the entire room into chaos, pushing Chifuyu to her limit.

"That's enough, everyone. We'll resume once this mess is sorted," Chifuyu declared, her patience worn thin by the spectacle.

The aftermath saw the six relegated outside, Ichika peculiarly donning a bucket on his head as a symbol of the day's absurdity.

Line break. Back in Shinto Teito.

Meanwhile, Minato found himself poring over an email so bewildering that he had to read it aloud multiple times. The disbelief in his voice mirrored the doubt of the situation, highlighting the surreal turn of events that connected their worlds in the most unexpected ways.

Chiho blinked, breaking the silence that had enveloped the room. "Okay, am I the only one brimming with questions?" Her inquiry was met with a collective sense of bewilderment mirrored by everyone at the table.

"I believe we're all in the same boat. Can anyone discern a pattern here?" Uzume proposed, her tone reflecting both surprise and a hint of concern, recognizing the gravity of the situation despite the surreal parallels being drawn.

Musubi then turned towards Uzume, exhaling deeply. "Consider this—the girls from the Infinite Stratos universe seem to reflect aspects of us." Matsu's interest was piqued, prompting her to prompt further explanation.

Uzume, catching on to the curiosity, elaborated, "It seems that each girl shares traits with someone from our group. Take Laura, who made such a dramatic claim on Ichika. Does her intensity... remind you of anyone?" The question led all eyes to Tsukiumi, prompting her to defend herself.

"Are you suggesting I resemble those girls? I most certainly do not."

Uzume gently corrected her, "Not exactly, Tsukiumi. While you've evolved from your initial stance, your intentions towards Minato and subsequent declaration echo Laura's actions towards Ichika. A classic tsundere, wouldn't you say?" A chuckle from Chiho lightened the mood.

Uzume continued, weaving connections, "And the similarities extend beyond. For instance, Musubi's parallel with Houki is the first connected to the central figure. Then there's Kagari, whose revelation mirrors Charlotte's."

Acknowledging nods followed. "And Kazehana, you share a certain flair with Cecilia, both of you undergoing significant shifts in perspective. Ichika's accounts further illustrate these alignments,"

Matsu added, leading Kazehana to acknowledge the comparison, albeit reluctantly, before sharing an affectionate moment with Minato.

"Rin's resemblance to Kuu is also noteworthy. Both hold a special place within their respective circles, marking their unique contributions and connections," Matsu observed, tying more threads between the two worlds.

Absorbing the insights, Minato remarked on the unaddressed parallels, "It seems we've yet to find counterparts for Uzume, Chiho, and Matsu." The three shared a moment of contemplation, recognizing the complexity of their narrative web.

With a hint of humor, Matsu expressed hope for Ichika's sake, given the already dynamic situation he found himself in. "Minato, perhaps it's time to extend a reply to Ichika," she suggested, a smile playing on her lips as the group rallied behind Minato in support.

Takehito, witnessing the unfolding connections and shared understanding, couldn't help but comment, "Minato, your ability to draw such unique individuals together is remarkable. It's becoming clear why you're eager for Ichika to visit."

As the discussion wound down, the shared look among Takehito, Matsu, and Kazehana hinted at a broader conversation yet to be had, particularly regarding Miya's thoughts on the matter and the anticipation of hearing directly from Ichika.

Hey, Ichika.

Good to hear you're still alive. At my place, we talked about it. I am now back home. Matsu is okay, but let's say that we couldn't foresee it.

That told me quite a bit.

It's good to hear you got out of that fight alive. But dang, it looks like you got a new girl who is after you — speaking about something, Ichika. Cecilia changed her views, right? Can you give me a bit more info? One of the girls had a hypothesis. We want to see if it checks out.

Next to that, it turns out that you got yourself quite a party. I hope that you explain more on Chifuyu's part. You two talked? Or a fight when you dropped by? How did that go down? As for Laura, yeah. We need to sleep this one over and see how it goes down. You had no fun there.

In any case, it's good that you're around.

If it changes, let me know, but I'll be out soon enough.

I'll talk to you later.

After sending the message, a wave of exhaustion washed over Minato. "How about we all head to bed? I think a good night's sleep is in order," he suggested, unable to stifle a yawn. It didn't take long for the girls to agree, escorting Minato back to the comfort of his bed. Kagari, Tsukiumi, and Matsu joined him, their presence a warm and reassuring reminder of home.

The next morning

It came too soon for Minato, who had cherished the warmth and tranquility of sleeping amidst his Sekirei. Yet, the day's responsibilities called, pulling him from the embrace of slumber. "Girls, sorry, but I need to get up," he announced reluctantly, the soft murmur of protests marking their reluctance to start the day.

Typically, Minato would wait for the girls to awaken fully, but the pressing need for the bathroom hastened his departure. Upon his return, he found the girls gradually stirring to life. "Morning, Minato," Musubi greeted him with a kiss, the first of many, as each girl followed suit, sharing their morning affection. Chiho, with a playful grin, was the last to do so before Minato gently lifted a still-drowsy Kusano, carrying her to the living room where breakfast awaited.

The aroma of food filled the air, igniting a chorus of growling stomachs as they gathered at the table. The morning meal was a lively affair, marked by the hearty appetites of the group.

While most girls planned a day at home, Takehito was bound for MBI for research, and Minato had college commitments. Musubi and Tsukiumi looked forward to a training session, Uzume planned to spend time with Kazehana, and Matsu returned to her realm of computers.

For Minato, returning to routine brought a sense of normalcy and contentment. It was a brief respite in the bustling life they shared, a cherished simplicity amidst the complexity of their bonds.

As Minato stepped onto the college grounds, he noted the return to normal operations and spotted Shigi, who appeared as weary as he felt. Their shared glance was one of mutual understanding, a silent acknowledgment of the challenges they faced and overcame.

For now, the semblance of normalcy was a welcome pause in their extraordinary lives, a moment to breathe before the next adventure began.

Last weekend, the girls decided to take it easy, feeling a bit content with their situation, knowing their guy was back home waiting for them. They settled into a relaxed pace for the time being.

For now, their availability is limited to this week. Minato had schoolwork to catch up on, which quickly consumed his attention.

In the meantime, the girls gathered to brainstorm ideas for their ideal home. With the financial flexibility provided by their MBI cards, budget constraints were no longer an issue.

They considered either a quaint inn or a traditional house similar to their current living situation, echoing Minato's suggestions that they could continuously improve and seek assistance.

A key feature they desired was a spacious garden where their future children could train. The thought of their offspring confined as they had been in their youth was unacceptable; they hoped to avoid repeating such mistakes.

Ensuring their children inherited their powers without transforming their home into a battleground like Seo's was a priority.

Their search also included finding a bed large enough to ensure comfortable rest.

Uzume and Chiho retreated to their room to plan their upcoming trip with Minato in two weeks, while Matsu and Kazehana scouted for potential destinations for their excursion on Friday.

Reflecting on their circumstances, they pondered whether this semblance of normalcy was what a healthy life looked like for them.

The week passed quickly for the Sekirei, with life resuming pace and Minato focusing on his academic responsibilities. Before they knew it, Friday had arrived.

Instead of heading home, Minato received a message from Matsu and Kazehana inviting him to join them. Although it wasn't a full-fledged date, they planned to enjoy some noodles together.

Arriving at the noodle stall, Minato found he wasn't the first to get there—Matsu had already finished her first bowl. Kazehana playfully nudged her sister, drawing their attention to their arriving Ashikabi. With a warm smile, Minato took his seat.

"Good evening, Matsu, Kazehana," he greeted.

Without hesitation, the two expressed their affection openly. Kazehana was the first to act, delivering a passionate kiss that surprised Minato. Her grin widened as Minato responded with equal enthusiasm.

While it was confirmed that an Ashikabi had to tend to them, his bond and the amount of sex made the guy frisky. He had to get used to the amount of attention he got from the Sekirei, which was great for him as Kazehana sucked in the kiss.

"Oy. Kazehana. Let him go." The Wind Flower laughed at Matsu, who was impatiently waiting. Minato could barely catch his breath before Matsu pressed her lips on him. He settled his hands on her hips and smirked as Matsu approached him.

"Hey, Minato."

She said as she let her Ashikabi go. Some saliva was still on their lips as they blushed. "So happy to see me, Matsu?"

The girls nodded. "You best eat enough, big guy. Because you got one long night ahead of you."

A pleasurable chill ran down his spine. He had heard those words before, and damn, did it always get him when he heard those words? It promised him enough. So, with a smile, Minato sat down and ate while the Sekirei sat beside him.

When you have enough practice, you ignore the stares of guys who wonder how a guy like him got girls like them. But for the Sekirei, that was not their problem.

What was on their mind was more fun. So, before long, they dragged Minato along to get some pleasure.

Checking in didn't take long, and while normally, they would kiss first before they undressed their Ashikabi, this time, Matsu fiddled with his pants while Kazehana kissed him. Minato lets himself go limp as his more 'experienced' lovers have their way with him.

Typically, the Sekirei would allow him to go first as he was their Ashikabi, but for times like these, Minato's past didn't allow him to protest. He didn't mind the actions of letting his Sekirei go on him. It also meant that they had to do the work.

Fumbling with his pants, Matsu's hands did little to stop the arousal that Minato had been receiving. So when it was finally released from his pants, Minato couldn't help but smile. He eventually got out of his pants. Matsu smiled as Kazehana kissed the guy more but broke off to get his sweater off.

Minato let his arms up as Kazehana undressed him. Matsu pushed off his pants as she tried to suck even more. Not that he would stop that soon.

But he wasn't going to wait before they were done. So he tugged on Kazehana's clothes. While her dress showed enough of her body, Minato wanted to see more. Not that Kazehana minded the action. She let Minato take off her clothes but could feel that he kissed her lower collar and upper breasts. A soft squeeze made the guy happy.

Her as well. In their lust-filled world, Minato looked into her eyes, and Kazehana kissed him again.

But then, there was a cough. Turning to Matsu, who had fun with Little Minato, the two shook their heads. Minato helped her out of her clothes, so the three were naked when they continued. Matsu began to suck more on his and used her tits to stimulate her Ashikabi more.

Minato and Kazehana had fun as the guy couldn't react to Matsu's ministrations.

His fingers dripped down to Kazehana. The woman's eyes widened as she felt Minato entering her.

It was true that Minato was inexperienced when he began with all this, but he was a quick study. He learned quickly what his lovers liked and disliked. It also made the conversion for Chiho and Uzume easier.

The five were having sex with Minato for a few months (and intensively) before that, and Chiho and Uzume had their fun.

But that was for later; now, Matsu found that Minato had held it off long enough. Not that she complained. She just found it fun to tease her Ashikabi. Minato held it off and wasn't going to let go. But his free arm went behind Matsu, and his fingers found a place.

Gripping her cheeks, Matsu tensed as she found her Ashikabi playing with her ass. Not that they had experimented on that part. It had danced in their heads, but not that much.

Mainly due to the reason that they wanted to get knocked up. Using that part wasn't an answer to that.

Matsu briefly wondered if some saw it as staying pure till marriage. Because, in her eyes, it wasn't.

In her thinking, she found a second pair of tits making themselves at home. Minato knew that Kazehana knew how to use her body to get attention. Several guys from her tour flaunted at her to see just a bit of her tits.

Despite it all, she stayed a virgin while she looked for her Ashikabi. Sure, Minaka wasn't Minato. She realized she hadn't lost out on Minato like all her sisters. The guy wasn't reliable at first but was soft and warm.

Kazehana and Matsu worked together on this while Minato rocked his hips. Their tits found pleasurable stimuli as their nipples found each other. It helped to get his rocks off even more as he was captured between them.

Their grip on his dick had turned like a vice as they weren't going to let him go. Teasing licks, Minato found himself lost for words as his Sekirei began to go faster on him.

"Nearly there." He said to the two as his movements grew more frantic between them, jumping out, desperate to let go of what he had in store for them.

So when the Sekirei felt Minato trembling, Minato gave a loud groan. "Cumming." He muttered before his release painted them. Taking a few breaths, he sat up and looked at them.

"My, so much that you released," Kazehana said as she licked playfully what landed on her tits and face.

"Indeed, Mina-tan. Always one good job. Although it was a waste." Matsu took off her glasses and smiled at him.

They found that Minato's roguish grin stood him well for some reason. Kazehana was tackled to the bed as Minato kissed her, his hands groping at her tits.

When he was sure he had given them a good squeeze, Kazehana yelped pleasurably. "Oh my, Minato-kun. What a beast." Letting her go, he winked at her.

"Well, I got some girls telling me to be more assertive." He said as he positioned himself. Missionary worked for them the best.

"Smart ones," Kazehana smirked, and Minato filled her. With a groan, she noticed that he had buried himself in her.

"No fair, Mina-tan," Matsu said as she pressed her tits in her back. Minato smiled at her, taking his other Sekirei and flipping her next to him. "Give me some time."

He kissed Matsu as he rocked his hips in Kazehana. Her tits bounced up and down while Minato smiled in the kiss.

"Ah, Minato. That's it." With one hand, he groped the left tit of Kazehana while his right arm kept Matsu in place. He wasn't going to let her go.

"Kazehana, this is great." Besides, his groans weren't much understandable, as he enjoyed the feeling in her.

She wasn't going to let go.

"Minato. This feels great. Ah, oh, yes, there." With a louder moan, Kazehana found herself losing a battle.

The one to not lose it.

It was more than just sexual pleasure. They had this bond, the event that they had missed each other, and that Minato had learned to keep Kazehana down in this.

Kazehana preferred it when she lay down. Not going too fast was one thing Minato hadn't been doing. So he settled in slower thrusts.

It was something that he and Kazehana loved from each other. They liked it slower. So, at an even pace, Minato went in and out of her.

Her moans grew longer, and the feeling in her loins began to build up. Minato couldn't help but enjoy how she decided to pull him closer so his head was in her tits.

"Oh, no." The playful girl said. "Minato, you pervert." Looking at her, Minato pulled her up, so they were now seated. Minato had also liked this, especially since kissing was a lot easier. His hands went to her ass as she pressed him closer.

Matsu shook her head and sat by. Her fingers went inside. Not to relieve herself but to keep herself wet. There was something about it to see their lover doing this to another girl. Not that Matsu was into that whole thing.

At least, this part was a lot more wholesome. She might have been a pervert, but a real kink seeker; yeah, that was out. Matsu found herself imitating the moves that Minato did to Kazehana.

His hands went from her ass to her tits and her hair. He didn't pull her hair but kept it close to her. She was giving it ministrations while he enjoyed the feeling of the tits on his chest.

Kazehana knew that having a few Sekirei who could go rougher on their Ashikabi caused Minato to get some build. He was no longer scrawny. He wasn't a bodybuilder, more a swimmer. His muscles grew in the longer end of this.

Kazehana thanked Musubi and Uzume especially. The Bear-Fisted Sekirei was not delicate, and the reason why she was so strong was one thing. Minato could do nothing but grow more vital for her.

Not that they are two-minded.

As for Uzume, that was a different reason. The girl was a bit sturdier than Chiho, and even with her disease cured and her life starting, Chiho still wasn't as strong as Uzume had hoped.

She was getting there, but all knew it could take years.

When Minato became her second Ashikabi, Uzume took full advantage of that. With her (tomboyish) tendencies, Minato had also grown used to great hugs from Uzume.

The Veiled Sekirei could throw herself at full force at the male Ashikabi, and he could stay standing.

Kazehana wondered how it would be when they would have kids. But when she felt her loins burning, Minato looked a bit winded. His release had to come, and Kazehana smiled as she began to go faster.

Minato grits his teeth, and Kazehana can feel her pleasure building. Going faster in this, Kazehana softly bit his neck to keep her moans back. Her climax had come hard down, and Minato wasn't too far behind.

With a grunt, she could feel him filling her up, and then he let her go. There was a bit that came with him leaving her body, but most stayed in her body.

Kazehana caught her Ashikabi, out of breath.

She put him down, so she took his left arm. She sighed contently with one more kiss on his lips and with a smile.

Those orgies were always fun, and the Sekirei learned to grow used to a bit of waiting before action.

Matsu took Minato's other arm, and she looked at him.

He needed to catch his breath below before they could go again. Not that the Wisdom Sekirei minded.

"You're getting better at this." When she bopped him on the nose, Minato smiled at her. Kazehana took it closer, and Minato's hands wandered.

"Lots of practice. And well, if I have to get you all pregnant, I want to make it all pleasurable for all of us." The girls blushed at that. Their faces could be used as flashlights by the sheer red on their faces.

"You intend to do that?" Kazehana asked.

"What? The promise I would make you pregnant or the promise that I'll make it fun." Minato asked, and the earnest tone hid the amount of fun he had when he teased them.

After that, Matsu smirked at him as she saw through the attempts. Saddling her Ashikabi, she looked at him with a smile.

"Well, good luck on that, Mina-tan." She slid down on his dick as she smirked as her Ashikabi was caught between her. Gritting his teeth, Minato settled in a soft pace with the Cybergirl above him.

He liked it there, but to avoid the pressure of her tits crushing his face (it was fun but made him cum too fast), he groped them and began to squeeze the tits softly.

There were just a bit smaller than Musubi's and Kazehana's, but there was no reason for him to complain as Matsu found her tits to be assaulted by him.

She smiled at him as he began to lift them while his thumbs buried in the soft flesh. His thrust came from below her body, and rocking her hips along, Matsu found herself liking the pace.

It wasn't fast or a race. By taking it slower and burying himself in her, they could make it for longer, as Matsu felt Minato hitting suitable spaces.

While she had fun toys to play with and enjoy herself, few things beat her Ashikabi. There were none. Minato might not always be available like her toys, but his hot rod was beating those things.

Her back was arched as she could feel her Ashikabi keeping her stretched up. She bounced in the lap while Kazehana demanded his lips on her face.

A groan made clear that Matsu clamped up at him but not too much as Minato's left hand went to her ass, and Matsu gulped as one finger slipped in. It was just one finger and one knuckle deep, but not too much.

There was too much resistance for Minato to go in further, and it was meant to keep Matsu up but not cause her pain.

Her right hand went to her ass, and she took his hand away from the place. "Not yet, Mina-tan." Okay, that was great to hear.

Another hand went to tits and clamped down harder, indicating that Minato could go a bit rougher. While his teeth were gritty, Minato let Matsu ride him, and she enjoyed the feeling of her Ashikabi, who explored her body.

She also began to feel him up, and she eventually placed her hands on his chest. It was so fun to see his muscles tense up under her grip. It was fun, but now, she had to do more.

"If you want to do more, Mina-tan," Slipping out from Minato, she turned around on all fours and wiggled her ass to him.

"Come and get it." She said, and Minato couldn't help but sigh. That wife of his was such a pervert.

"If you insist, Matsu-chan." He stood up and took his place. Doggy style wasn't something he did a lot, mainly because his other Sekirei preferred to see his face when he filled them up. On the other hand, Matsu liked it a lot more like this.

So when Minato was inside her, he just stayed inside her and ground at her as far as he could without causing pain to her body.

Sex was a fun experience, but the line between pleasure and pain crossed quickly, and Minato didn't like hurting others.

Matsu smiled while she was looking over her shoulder.

"Mina-tan, you're doing an excellent job." She was just in time to see how Kazehana pulled him away for a kiss. "Kazehana-tan, can you give me this?"

"Sure thing, Matsu." The Wind Flower let Minato go and fell, while her lover made his sister-wife crazy.

The Ashikabi wasn't done with her just yet as his hands went to the tits. Keeping her trapped between her tits in his hands and her pussy in his dick, Minato made movements between those, and he could see how Matsu's tongue began to fall out her mouth. It's not abnormal, given the amount of foreplay and fun they had before. He had blown out two loads tonight.

It hadn't been that long since his weekend with Tsukiumi, and he began to feel his body tire out. Yet, he had an obligation towards Matsu, and he would make sure she had her fun.

Letting the tits go, the hands went to the waist, and he began to make out from her there. His hands were feeling delighted on the hips of his wife as Matsu couldn't help but feel the loins burning.

It was here, her release. One she waited days for.

"Mina-tan. So deep." She breathed out. "So good. Nearly there." She groaned as Minato took her face and made her turn his way.

With a kiss, he invaded two holes of Matsu, and his tongue slipped in, dominating her mouth. The shape of her eyes became hearts as she found herself losing to her pleasure. With a vice on her pussy, she came while Minato couldn't hold it in either.

With a groan, his third load blew out, and he pulled out of Matsu. His head was turning around, and he was glad that Kazehana caught him before he could fall on Matsu. The Cyber Maiden collapsed as well.

She was out like a light. Kazehana shook her head. They had booked the room for the night, and she knew that Minato needed his rest now.

Three loads, that was enough. They had fun, and they could ask for more in the morning. Taking up Matsu, she placed her on the right of Minato, whose eyes had been clouded with fatigue, but gratitude spoke to her.

"Thank you, Kazehana." With a smile, she took clean blankets and placed herself next to Minato. One last long kiss before sleep would claim them.

"It was fantastic, Minato." Ensuring he lay comfortably, Kazehana found an arm around her body and looked at Minato. He was drenched in sweat; his face was all red, but he had one big grin.

"I hope it was. Sorry, we had just this."

Shaking her head, she kissed her Ashikabi again. "It was enough. To have kids, we need to do more. Either way, my Ashikabi-kun, sleep."

"Good night, Kazehana." And with two girls in his arms, Minato fell asleep.

The rest of the Sekirei settled in for the night at the inn, each finding their own space to sleep. They opted for separate sleeping arrangements this time to break their habit of sharing a bed.

With three of them absent, the usual sleeping dynamic was disrupted, making it more practical for everyone to find alternative resting places.

Tsukiumi chose Kusano as her cuddle companion, much to the younger girl's initial protest. However, Tsukiumi's insistence won over, and it wasn't long before Kusano drifted off to sleep in her elder's embrace.

Kagari, preferring solitude, slept alone in her room. She found solace in these moments of solitude, appreciating the peace it brought her now and then.

Chiho had taken up residence in Uzume's room, finding joy in the comfort of her company. She was happy to fall asleep there, embraced by the familiarity and warmth that Uzume's presence provided. She slept on the tits of her Sekirei, and with a grin, she could feel good rest.

Musubi found solace in Minato's room for the night, changing from her usual gym attire into a more comfortable nightgown.

The Bear Sekirei was enveloped in a serene dream that night, wandering through an expansive field. In her dream, she came across an area dotted with lemon trees, the sight unfamiliar yet oddly comforting.

As she navigated the dream, Musubi became aware that she was dreaming. This realization sparked curiosity within her—was she exploring the vast landscapes of her mind?

Beneath the lemon tree, a familiar figure caught Musubi's eye. As she approached, her heart began to smile, propelling her feet to run faster toward the sight. The figure noticed her approach and perked up in anticipation.

With open arms and a gentle smile, Yume embraced Musubi. "Hello, Musubi," the Sekirei of Fate greeted her voice, a soothing balm to the girl she had saved at the cost of her own life.

Tears mingled with smiles as Musubi hugged her savior tightly. "Yume. Is this real?" Her face, lit with a smile, seemed to find the answer before it was given.

Somehow, it felt natural.

"We're in your head. And yes, this is real, to a degree. Happy to see me, Musubi? Back from that tree in the sky," Yume said, her presence a comforting warmth.

Musubi nodded, her gaze locked on Yume. The woman before her wore the same uniform she had on the day of her sacrifice, a poignant reminder of their shared past.

"So, how is life for you, Musubi? Your fights are done. Aren't you sad that you didn't change Karasuba?" Yume's question was gentle, yet it carried the weight of unspoken stories between them.

At that question, Musubi sighed, a mix of emotions swirling within her.

"We tried, we all tried, and I did my best. Among the Sekirei, only you and she haven't returned. I tried," Musubi confessed, her voice laden with the weight of her efforts.

"I know, my sweet, I know." Yume's response was soft, accompanied by a comforting smile. She patted her lap, inviting Musubi to lie down. As Musubi settled, gazing up at Yume, she was enveloped in memories of their past encounters.

"Don't worry, Musubi. Everything is as it should be, and I've been watching over all you've accomplished. I'm here to share insights about the future, particularly concerning your Ashikabi," Yume said, her smile both reassuring and mysterious.

Musubi's concern was palpable. "Are you disappointed in Minato? I believe he's one of the best Ashikabis. He cares for me and everyone else," she asserted, her tone mixing conviction with a hint of defensiveness.

Yume's reassurance was immediate. "I'm not questioning his worth. Minato is one of the most remarkable Ashikabis, unique in his actions, especially with what occurred with Number 10, Uzume. My words are not a critique of him."

With that, Musubi understood. The conversation wasn't about casting doubts but acknowledging complexities and foreseeing challenges.

"Ichika Orimura," Musubi ventured, a name resonating with newfound significance.

Yume's smile was a beacon of encouragement. "You are getting sharp, my sweet. Indeed, Ichika is someone you need to keep in mind.

He is a good boy, and there are specific considerations to consider. I've also heard about your desire to have children." Musubi nodded, her gaze meeting Yume's understanding eyes.

"Yes, my sister-wives, and I really want to have kids. It's going to be an exciting journey, our destiny," Musubi shared, her voice brimming with anticipation.

Yume's response was gentle, her hand gracefully waving through her hair. "I haven't stepped out since our last battle, but I plan to be around a bit more. Take care of yourself, Musubi." Her nod was full of resolve.

"And when you have a daughter, remember me," Yume, the Sekirei of Fate, said with a smile that seemed to encapsulate both a farewell and a blessing. With that, Musubi awoke.

Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she found it dark outside, and her body yearned for more rest. Although uncertain, she knew she had a remarkable story to share with the others when the time was right. But for now, she needed her rest.

'When I have a daughter, I'll name her Yume.'

Here is the ending of this chapter. I couldn't finish it this weekend, so I got over it during the week. I had to check on something and thought I could have it better to end it.

So far, I have no idea how it looks on publishing, but that's wait-and-see.

I also have an omake, so I decided to get it out as well.

Takano Kouji lay in his bed, his gaze fixed on the ceiling, a blank canvas for the tumult of his thoughts. The world beyond his room seemed distant, irrelevant.

Whispers of the Sekirei Plan's conclusion had reached him—Minato Sahashi had emerged victorious, ending the chaos that had ensnared so many lives.

But what did it matter to him? The external world's upheavals held no significance in the shadow of his loss.

To Takano and undoubtedly many others, the Sekirei Plan was the brainchild of a deranged scientist with abundant wealth and time but a shortage of humanity.

This reckless endeavor had cost him everything. Namiji, Sekirei number 73, the beacon illuminating his dreary existence, was gone. She had been more than just a Sekirei to him; she had been his wings, his solace in a world that seemed perpetually against him.

Namiji was a rarity, a gem among stones.

Her grey eyes were pools of tranquility, and her wild brown hair framed her face with untamed beauty, accented by two longer strands that seemed to capture her free spirit. Her attire was as unique as her personality—a red top with an open back and a white cloth wrapped around her hips.

But it wasn't merely her physical appearance that had captivated him. Namiji's cheerfulness was a balm to his scarred soul, a light in the pervasive darkness of his life.

As tears traced down his cheeks, the advice of friends seemed hollow. They spoke of other girls, of missed opportunities, yet none could fill the void left by Namiji.

All the misfortune he had endured paled in comparison to the loss of her. He had found a semblance of luck in her presence, a flicker of hope in an otherwise bleak existence.

The Sekirei Plan's end marked the closure of a tumultuous chapter in many lives and underscored the personal tragedies that lay scattered in its wake. For Takano Kouji, the world without Namiji was a reality too painful to accept, a void too vast to fill.

Tears continued to cascade down Takano Kouji's cheeks, his friends' well-meaning reassurances echoing hollowly in his mind. They spoke of other girls, of moving forward, but their words couldn't penetrate the veil of grief that shrouded him.

Namiji had been his beacon in a life riddled with misfortune, her love a counterbalance to the relentless tide of bad luck that had defined his existence. And then, she was gone—snatched away by an adversary far beyond her capabilities, leaving Takano grappling with a loss so profound it threatened to consume him.

Lying in his bed, he toyed with the thought of death, almost welcoming it. The pain of existence without Namiji was a relentless torment, a constant reminder of what he had lost.

Her presence had made the absurd tales of aliens, MBI, and the entire Sekirei Plan bearable. Without her, life seemed devoid of purpose, an endless stretch of emptiness.

What now? He pondered his next steps, his future. Rumors had reached him, whispers of Sekirei being revived in the aftermath of the chaos, but such tales seemed irrelevant to his grief-stricken heart. What did any of that matter if Namiji remained lost to him?

As he lay there, enveloped in his sorrow, understanding the despair that must have gripped other Ashikabi who faced similar losses, he barely registered the sound of his door quietly opening.

Then, a voice he never thought he'd hear again broke through his despair.

"Takano?" As he turned his head, disbelief painted his face. He blinked once, twice, and then a third time for good measure.

"Namiji?" Dreams of her return had haunted him, each awakening more painful than the last with the stark realization of her absence.

Yet, there she was, standing before him, as accurate as the day he lost her, dressed in the same clothes that bore witness to their separation.

"It's been a while," he managed, his voice a mix of wonder and confusion. Her voice, unmistakable and dearly missed, confirmed she was indeed there.

Rising from the bed, he hobbled towards her, each step fueled by hope and disbelief. "Namiji," he whispered, his voice barely above a breath.

As he touched her face, savoring the reality of her presence, a wave of emotion washed over them both. "Is this real?" he asked, voice laden with years of longing and loss.

She nodded, her hand finding his as tears streamed down her face. "Indeed. I have been searching for you," she replied, her smile a beacon of hope in the darkness of his grief.

Before she could utter another word, he captured her lips with his, a kiss that bridged the chasm of time and sorrow between them.

Her wings unfurled in response, a testament to their bond. "By my weapon, my Ashikabi will be protected," she declared, her vow ringing with solemnity and love.

"You came back," Takano murmured, enveloping her in an embrace that spoke volumes of his relief and joy. She hugged him back, a silent promise of never letting go.

The pain of his wounds momentarily broke their embrace. "Can you help me to my bed?" he asked. Without hesitation, she nodded and carefully supported him back to his bed. Once he was settled, she sat beside him, ready to begin anew.

Putting him back in bed, Namiji offered Takano a smile that lit up the room. "Sorry, I took so long. But it's been a while since I came back."

"How is this possible? I thought you died," Takano asked, confusion and wonder mingling in his voice.

The Sekirei shook her head, her expression one of gentle correction. "Nope. I was deactivated, but thanks to the Ashikabi of the North, nearly all Sekirei came back to life. Minato Sahashi and his Sekirei went far for us and saved us. Not just me but nearly all of us."

The revelation weighed heavily on Takano, prompting him to shake his head in disbelief. "Suppose we can give him a visit. I think I owe him."

Namiji's smile turned sheepish, her eyes gleaming with gratitude and mischief. "We do indeed. But you need to rest first, mister."

Laughter bubbled up from Takano, a sound of pure joy that had been absent for too long. He hugged his Sekirei tightly, a gesture filled with relief and newfound hope. It seemed, at last, that things were looking up for a change.

Saluut.
