A/N: The start of a new story, enjoy xx Alexis

The room was in complete chaos, blood was everywhere like a red fallen halo around Isabella. It was even, I noticed splattered up the wall next to the broken table and almost everyone was screamin'. Isabella had just cut her finger; it was a tiny paper cut and one little drop of blood, for God's sake. Unfortunately for her, that was enough to push Edward over the edge into full-on bloodlust of epic proportions! But the emotions flyin' around were very, make that extremely tellin'. Well, not Edward's he was beyond elated, triumphant in gainin' his singer's blood at last. That was until Emmett ripped him away from her and tossed him out the lounge window, makin' him more dangerous to Isabella in his rage of losing his prey. Carlisle was initially disappointed in his golden boy and Esme of course, heartbroken for Isabella.

Rose was actually arrogantly smug and happy, seein' it all as inevitable and to her mind exactly what she said would happen. This only lasted until she saw Emmett was protectin' Isabella, protectin' her from everyone around the room, except for me. Alice was angry, but not at Edward, oh no, that was directed at yours truly. Why? Well, I had not reacted in the least to the spillin' of Isabella's glorious blood. It was everywhere now and havin' no effect on me, at least not in the I have to drink it way! In fact, I was right at the back of the room nowhere near the carnage, hell my eyes hadn't even changed colour unlike some of the others, like for instance Alice's. It appears I wasn't followin' her interpretation of her visions at all, and she was pissed off with me, to say the least.

Isabella was angry too and that was directed at Edward, she blamed only him for this and rightly so. He had so little control when I wasn't helpin' him. Emmett was carefully liftin' Isabella out of the shards of glass and crystal that had shattered when Edward had thrown her into it. This he had done to keep everyone away from her. No, to keep them away from his blood! Carlisle was trying to calm Edward down now, disappointment and disbelief warrin' inside him. Which even Edward could not miss seein' or hearin' before he demanded distraughtly,

"Son! Why? It was only a very small paper cut! "

"He made me do it! He forced his bloodlust on me! It's all Jasper's fault! He made me kill her!" Edward screamed, pointin' at me like a five-year-old child,

All eyes turned to me. Alice was now gleeful, although she tried to look devastated, but was unable to hide her emotions. Carlisle was initially sceptical, like for one moment he truly didn't believe it but the truth was too much for him to accept. So in the face of havin' to choose, he was already waverin' into believin' Edward's argument. Even as he looked me directly in the eyes, my still golden eyes. Rose was of course, disgusted with me out of hand, never even stoppin' to hear or even see the truth. Esme was sendin' out pity by the bucket load and she too never considered he might be lyin' to save his own skin! Both were acceptin' because of what they saw as my weakness, a weakness I'd never had but every one of them did. Me who did nothin', me who was not goin' to be the scapegoat to save face for Edward.

I felt two other people's emotions and those were what made me straighten up to my full height and stand my ground. The ripple of fear from Alice first and then Edward, gave me the added boost I needed. They could see my gold eyes, which had never even darkened while all of them bore black eyes even Carlisle, the saintly doctor. Emmett and Isabella believed in me, trusted in me and knew it had nothin' to do with me. While everyone had been dealin' with poor Edward, their golden boy, Emmett had pumped his venom into Isabella. Thus savin' her life, his beloved baby sister's life. The others were too busy to notice or care while she bled out. I could feel Alice gearin' up to make her play, one she would lose, because it was made based on her interpretation of a vision and not decision-based. She really never seemed to work it out, that I felt every emotion, not just those you pushed at me!

"You need to leave Jasper, this is the last straw! I refuse to be your babysitter anymore!" Alice spat at me loudly,

I didn't so much as flinch at the tone of her voice, but I did raise an eyebrow and she had the good sense to step back. I felt her spike of fear once again, at my lack of reaction or maybe because it was not the reaction she wanted from me. I wasn't pleadin' or beggin', no abject grovellin' like I knew she wanted, hell expected! That she had imagined in her twisted and warped readin' of a vision, I would do! However, Edward wasn't quite so smart.

"I want him gone! He has killed Bella! He made me drain my mate!" Edward said in sobbin' voice, layin' it on way too thick,

Christ, they don't even realise she's still alive, that's how important she was to them all. The room fell silent then, except for one small sound. The weak beatin' of her heart and that galvanised them belatedly into action. Carlisle rushed to her side only to be propelled backwards by Emmett.

"Too little, too late Carlisle! She needed you when your precious son ripped her throat out!"Emmett roared at a stunned Carlisle,

"I am Bella's sire now, and I will take care of her!" Emmett seethed as he stood to his feet,

His massive size for once bein' intimadatin', with her cradled to him by one arm. Well, intimidatin' to someone with a brain, which left most of the family I'm sorry to say out. This included his mate, his sire, and his so-called siblings. Even sadly at that moment, his mother figure.

"Don't be stupid, you big oaf! Give me my mate" Edward demanded arrogantly,

His bloodlust for her was risin' again as he realised she was still alive and therefore still held more blood for him. It was so laughable they believed that crap all while he was pathetically tryin' to take her from the much larger and stronger Emmett. Only to be launched upward by the throat, through the ceilin' and the one above that as well. Then finally into his own room on the third floor by the big guy. Thus showin' his absolute strength and superiority over the much weaker Edward. Rose and Esme stupidly rushed forward to grab Isabella off of Emmett, only for him to jump upwards through that hole, leavin' them to bang into each other causin' me to burst out laughin' and slow hand-clappin' them all. If it wasn't for Isabella changin', this would be a comedy of errors, a farce of epic proportions!

"Look what you've done, get out, get out and never come back!" Alice screamed at me maniacally, what's the hurry I wonder?

"When I'm ready woman and I use that term loosely! You are more of a child than a woman and always have been. You, like Edward, just never quite managed to grow up, did you? Your grand plan seems to have gone a little awry Mary Alice!" I say turnin' my back on them all after insultin' her greatly and walk up the stairs,

"Plan! What plan Alice?" Esme asks soundin' scared; maybe realisin' now, how she might have gotten this all badly wrong,

"He's lying! I didn't do anything, this is all Jasper's fault!" she kept protestin', childishly as she stamped her foot and I felt the other three's fear rise,

"What have you done Alice? No, what have we all done?" Esme asked sadly, but was stopped by Carlisle,

"Leave it, Esme. Please leave it!" he said quietly, but I heard him and barked a laugh sarcastically and loudly,

I had just made it up the stairs to my study when I saw Edward flyin' out of the room Emmett had now put Isabella in. She was screamin' blue murder, but I felt the undercurrent of joy comin' from both her and Emmett. Edward sailed past me as I stepped aside, totally unwillin' to help or save him and he went out through the wall. Jeez, he's a slow learner, that's three times in the last hour or so. I heard Emmett whisperin' to the once again quiet Isabella, she only screamed so far when Edward approached apparently. I moved that way and heard nothin', so I tapped on the door. Emmett had laid her out on the bed and was talkin' to her quietly, remindin' her to run through all the memories she wanted to retain. Emmett was gently washin' away the blood from her neck and arms and I had to stifle a growl, this was not the time.

"Everythin' okay Em?" I quiz, he nods and smiles,

"If Isabella gets too hot, put her into a cold bath, not a shower that's just annoyin' on the skin," I say and feel them both sendin' out their thanks,

I saunter back into my study and start to stack things up into piles. I was refusin' to think about what I thought was goin' on or make any decisions other than leavin' this shithole! I'll get some boxes soon and organise a truck to pick them up I think. Of course, my cell buzzes and I pull it out and snigger,

I laughed again happily, this time the mirth was real and heartfelt at that. I carry on what I'm doin' but obviously, that wasn't sittin' too well with my soon-to-be ex-wife. She stormed into my study shoutin' as usual. Still so intent on playin' the human that she feels the need to shout when I'd hear her even if she whispered.

"Carlisle wants you out now! We'll send your crap to the hillbillies' place later!" she lies on both counts and Carlisle's fear triples,

"Is that so? Wow, you just can't stop the lies today can you Mary Alice?" I sneer and she baulks for a second,

Then she rushed forward to do God alone knows what to my personal stuff and I dropped her right there in excruciatin' agony on my study floor. Any lingerin' feelin's I had for her died, as she lied to the others about my part in Isabella's change. What she conveniently forgot was who I really was and what my gift was. I made it so she couldn't utter a sound, but meanwhile, her body twitched, arched and convulsed on the floor. It made her look like a gross puppet-like caricature. The fear in her unblinkin', bulgin' eyes salved my soul, yeah she remembers now! I am not the fool she treated me as, I was Major Jasper Whitlock and she was now my enemy and she knew it! But true to form she couldn't or wouldn't accept defeat, even at the hands or gift of a better vampire!

"You're actually slowin' me down, child! You want me gone, keep out of my way! The more you interfere the longer it will take me!" I said as I released her,

"For God's sake, just leave Jasper!" Alice whined at me as she fled from the room in terror,

"I'll go when I've packed my things and the truck Peter's bringin' comes for them, Mary Alice!" I calmly replied smirkin',

Isabella was screamin' her lungs out once again and I could hear Edward pacin' outside the door of her new room. What might have looked like worry and regret to them, felt like loss and desire to me. He wanted to finish what he'd started but nobody was leavin' him alone with her. No, Emmett wasn't leavin' him alone with her! Isabella's saviour was takin' his job seriously and would defend her to the death, pity Edward was too stupid to realise it!

"Emmett go and pack and leave me with my mate" he demanded loudly once again after thirty minutes,

"We can't move her Edward that would be far too painful! We'll just have to wait it out and leave as soon as she awakens" Carlisle says before headin' this way,

"You're too overwrought to calm her Edward, you should go and hunt!" Esme says sadly,

"Yeah, go dilute your singer's blood out of your system! I'm her sire, she will calm for me" Em loudly announced, the sudden silence was deafenin' in this statement's wake,

He had intentionally reminded them all what had really happened down there and it made them all feel uneasy. They were beginnin' to see the cracks in Alice and Edward's stories and they didn't like how it made them feel.

"Emmett's right Edward, every time you approach Bella, she screams louder, you're only upsetting her more!" Esme said unwittingly insultin' him; I sense how bad she feels for Isabella now,

"Jasper shut her up, for Christ's sake!" Rose now yells at me and I snort,

"Sorry no can do. It's against vampire law to interfere in another coven's affairs. I ain't part of this coven so...!" I explain and hear her growl, as well as Alice and Edward,

"Son!" Carlisle starts to say from my doorway and now I growl dangerously,

"That's Major Whitlock to you, Dr Cullen!" I roar, momentarily losin' my temper with the fool,

"I obviously ain't your son and have never been treated as such! Now have I?" I hiss and he scurries away, fear pourin' off him,

He knows he has screwed up big time and I ain't as forgivin' as the others. I think they are finally gettin' the message; I'm not their tame guard dog anymore. The emotions flyin' around that I usually temper are enlightenin'. Pure jealous hatred for Isabella, from Rose, anger and fear from Alice. Regret and fear from Carlisle, sympathy, regret and love from Esme, of course. Edward is still pumpin' out bloodlust, just more controlled. Emmett is proud and happy; well he did save her while the others, except Esme stood around shoutin' at me for somethin' Edward did. Isabella is, well she's havin' fun. Every time any of them get close she screams blue murder. Apart from Edward only Carlisle and Alice have tried. I know she's not actually in that much pain. Her shield must be protectin' her and she's punishin' them.

I actually think Emmett knows what she's doin' to and helpin' her along. She keeps sendin' me little bursts of understandin', friendship, hope for some reason and love. She has always had the purest and strongest emotions. They are like fine wine to me after so many years of a diet of muted, sullied and twisted emotions from the Cullens!

"Come with me Edward, you really need to hunt!" Carlisle cajoled after a couple of more hours of screamin' had passed,

God forbid he actually gave him an order or actually ran his coven properly.

"Wait for me, I can't stand the noise!" Rose yells and then Alice mutters,

"Me too, maybe I'll get a vision out there. It's been totally blank for me since you bit her, Edward!"

Once again reminding them all what happened, yes it was the golden boy and not me who ripped out her throat! The minute they left the house, before they hit the trees Isabella stopped screamin', in fact, she had a little smile on her face.

"What's happening? I don't understand!" Esme said from the doorway, where she was watching Isabella and she seemed confused,

"You're forgetting one thing mom, Bella saw what happened down there and she's punishing them the only way she can at the moment" Emmett said as I walked into the room,

"She saw! You didn't! Dear God he lied, of course, he lied! Oh, Jasper! I'm so sorry. Please forgive me; I fell for their lies again! Why is Alice backing him up?" she stuttered and stammered,

"Don't know, really don't care! Isabella darlin' it's all up to you stay or go? We've got about an hour!" I ask her eyes open and she grits out,

"Go!"

"I'm coming too!" Emmett said calmly and firmly,

So I just nodded, he is her sire after all. We explained to Esme we wouldn't tell her where we were goin' so she neither needed to hide it or lie. That Isabella would call her as soon as she could if she wanted. But I dropped a couple of small nuggets of info,

"Oh, by the way, Isabella is not Edward's mate and never was and Emmett was right he wanted him out of the room so he could finish what he started! Tell Alice she has seven days to sign the divorce papers or I will become a widower instead. I'm easy about it!"

"Bye mum and tell Rosalie when she gets her head out of her ass and an attitude adjustment, I'll speak to her, but not before," Emmett says rushin' off to pack,

"No! I'm coming too. It's time those four learned a severe lesson and I'm happy to deliver it. Without us, they couldn't fight their way out of a damned paper bag. Without me they can't access the money, without Emmett, they can't deal with the security and without you Jasper, they can't organise I.D's. So let's see how they cope without a grown-up holding their hands! Maybe having to live with the smell of Bella's blood as well will get through to them, who did all the heavy lifting around here! "Esme said as she walked out of the room head held high,

I could feel the pleasure comin' off of Isabella, she was really happy about how things were goin'. She really believes they all should be punished for their failin's. But I'm more interested in what Alice's plan was; did she expect me to attack tonight over a paper cut? The stupid thing is once I'm gone they will have to deal with their own bloodlust and I don't think either Edward or Rose can, very well! They were the most volatile with Alice a close third, I think Carlisle will be shocked at how much I kept them in check and I really hope one of them messes up big time! I've been savin' their asses for years and got no thanks for it whatsoever. I decided to leave a letter for the doctor, tellin' him how this was gonna go! He thinks he's the leader; yeah let's see him sort out this shit fest!

Dr C Cullen of the Olympic Coven:

I have left as Mary Alice said you requested, and the others decided to join me. Me, imagine that and you will never know where unless you and Rose pull your heads out of your asses! Or should that be Edward's ass? But don't expect me to forgive you this time. You're blind adherence has cost you dear because of him!

Peter and Charlotte will arrive shortly for our things. If even one item is damaged and I don't care by whom, you will pay the price. You can't be a doctor with no hands and he will do it happily! You are a disgrace as a coven leader, a mentor and a mate.

Esme is with us and I wouldn't be surprised if she makes you suffer for this final cock-up! Tell Mary Alice to sign the forms or the next time she sees me will be for her execution! She set this up, but I didn't react as she expected, remind her I know she tried to make me the fall guy and you believed it, of course!

Ask her why she wants Isabella dead, it will be enlightening I'm sure. If it's what I think it is she has signed her own death warrant and I will collect! But it will be at my leisure and she will be heartily sick of looking over her shoulder by the time I do.

As you are more than aware Isabella is not Edward's mate, just his singer as he proved tonight when he callously ripped her throat out. You allowed this fiasco to happen; now you need to sort it out. I suggest you start planning what to tell her father, I doubt the wonder twins thought that far ahead and Chief Swan isn't a country bumpkin, like Edward seems to think!

Tell Rose if she wants her mate to respect her ever again, she needs to get over herself! She is not that important or special, unlike the now-changing Isabella. Peter will leave you a burner phone, we will call you, not the other way around.

Oh and warn Edward that Isabella may want to exact her revenge on him. On a side note, Volterra is very pretty this time of year and might just be the safest place for Mary Alice, but then again, maybe not! Remember Isabella is a shield and will probably be in full control very quickly.

Major J Whitlock of the Texas Coven

I stamped it with the Whitlock crest that I hadn't worn for years now. That should put the fear of God up him or at least make him see I am not playin' around, maybe even Rose. Alice and Edward are too full of themselves to realise what they have tried to do. Now all I have to do to make sure the lovely Miss Swan is safe until her transition is over. It's not that I don't trust Emmett, but for reasons that I'm just comin' to grips with. I have to be there. No, I need to be there!

A/N: By using his coven crest the letter is an official reprimand, one leader to another and a copy will have been made. It can be filed at any time with the Volturi if deemed necessary.
