"Spock." Kirk replied. "There's a change in plans. You'll need to stay on Earth for a bit."
"What is reason, Captain?"
"The Enterprise is under attack."
Spock arched an eyebrow.
"Who is attacking the Enterprise, Captain? Romulans, Klingons?"
There was a brief pause before Kirk could reply. Chekov's voice was heard in the background saying that the shields were holding.
"They have identified themselves as the Gordanians you reported. As you mentioned, their ships are primitive, but their numbers are large and are growing. New ships appear faster than we can disable them."
"Will the Enterprise retreat?"
"Negative. If we retreat, they will overrun Earth. We have to hold them back. "
Nightwing stepped forward. "They can't attack Earth. They signed a treaty with the Guardians. If they break it they will have every Green Lantern on them."
Spock nodded his understanding. Then he lifted his communicator back to his mouth.
"Captain, Earth has some sort of sanctuary status the Gordanians won't violate. You may proceed to Earth and they will not follow you."
"Are you sure of this, Spock? I don't want to draw these Gordanians towards a 21st century Earth, they wouldn't stand a chance. We can bare;y hold them back ourselves/"
"It is my understanding that at this point in time Earth is under alien protection, one the Gordanians will not challenge."
"But what about timeline pollution? If we are seen …"
"The Justice League already knows you are here, as obviously do the Gordanians." Starfire interjected. "I am checking the social media; there are already pictures of your ship being posted."
"And the Justice League has already dispatched some ships to escort you to Earth." Nightwing added.
"Who am I speaking with?" Kirk inquired,
"My name is Richard Grayson. You escorted my daughter and son in law home."
The sound of the raging battle could be heard over Spock's communicator.
"Keptin, shields are down to 90%. There are over 150 Gordanian ships attacking us." Chelov remarked, "And there are no Starbases or any other safe havens other than Earth. And we're cut off from the wormhole."
Kirk sighed. "Mr. Sulu, plot a course to Earth, Warp factor 1."
"Aye, Captain … estimated time to intercept Earth vessels is 10 minutes."
"Engage, Mr. Sulu."

Back at Titan's Tower …
"I have estimated that the Enterprise will be in Earth orbit within 30 minutes, based on the cruising speeds of the Javelins. This is going to be problematic. Last time I was here only a few knew of my presence. Now the entire planet knows that a vessel from the future is arriving. How was this information divulged to the public?"
"It was G. Gordon Godfrey. At first he broadcast that the Enterprise was a hostile alien invader, and by the way, a squad of Green Lanterns are on their way. But then he updated his story. He knows that you are from the future and that the name of your ship is the Enterprise." Raven droned in her still present monotone.
"And how does he know this? The Enterprise was hiding in the Ort cloud. It should have been undetectable by Earth defenses." Spock asked.
Rumor has it that Sinestro told him and the Gordanians as well." Cyborg interjected.
"And who is this Sinestro?"
"He's a Yellow Lantern, the Yellow Lantern"
Spock arched his eyebrow, which the Titans had learned a long time ago meant he was surprised.
"So there are Lanterns of colors other than green, I see. I also surmise that unlike the Green Lantern Corps that the Yellow Lanterns are hostile."
"Some Lantern Corps are hostile: Yellow is powered by fear, Red by rage and Orange by greed. The Blue are powered by hope, the Sapphires by love and the Violet by Empathy."
"And the Green are powered by logic." Spock added.
"Actually, by will power, but logic works too." A new voice added. The group turned towards it and saw that it was a Green Lantern."
"Kyle Raynor." He introduced himself. "The Guardians are concerned with the presence of the Enterprise, Mr. Spock".
"As is the Federation. It was not our intention to reveal ourselves to 21st Century Earth," Spock calmly replied. "This 'Sinestro' person has voided every precaution we took. I must say that I do not understand his motives. Surely he understands the havoc a timeline contamination can cause."
"Sinestro thrives on havoc as it causes fear." Raven muttered. "Perhaps, he doesn't want the Federation to ever be formed."
"That would have a far reaching impact on the galaxy's future. Without the Federation the Galaxy could fall into anarchy, ravaged by war and destruction."
"Which is exactly what Sinestro wants."
"It could be more than that." Spock added. "As I mentioned to you many years ago, the Federation knows nothing of any Lantern Corps.: green, yellow or any other color. It is possible that in my timeline the Corps all become extinct?"
"And Sinestro is trying to prevent that. Dude, a universe without any Lanterns? Is that even possible?" Ger asked.
Spock was about to tell the changeling that it was indeed possible when his communicator trilled.
"Spock here."
"We are in Earth orbit, Mr. Spock. Our escorts have led us to a large space station they call the WatchTower … Spock, this isn't in our history database. Can you explain? We are being invited aboard the space station and I was preparing an away team."
"Captain, perhaps you should remain aboard the Enterprise for now. The operators of the space station, known as the Justice League, have already met me. I think it would be wiser if only I accept their invitation, to reduce the timeline pollution."
"I don't see how it could get any worse than it already is, but I will defer to your judgment, Mr. Spock. Is the shuttle secured?"
"Yes, the Titans have it, it should be safe from prying eyes."
"Then prepare to beam up."
Spock muted his communicator and turned to his friends and ancestors.
"I would like you to join me on this away mission; I am concerned that the Justice League will attempt to apprehend me as they once tried to some years ago."
Nightwing nodded and turned to his team.
"Who wants to go?"
Mar'I and Damian were the first to raise their hands.
Gar chuckled. "You can count Raven and I."
"Hey, I wanna go too." Arella chimed in.
Everyone else volunteered,
"Very well, as humans say, the more the merrier." Spock said as he flipped open his communicator.
"Enterprise, nine to beam up."

Teleportation was not a new experience for Raven, though she had never accomplished that feat via a mechanical process. Portals were, and still were, her thing. She had heard all the complaints over the years: it felt cold, it was scary and some people even experienced vertigo while passing through one of her portals. The Titans of course had long been accustomed to the quirks in her portals, and no longer complained.
That said, a Federation transporter was an entirely different beast. For starters, your body was disassembled down to the molecular level, and those molecules were transported via a beam to the transporter room on the Enterprise. There they were temporarily stored in a pattern buffer, before being reassembled at their final destination. It was a miracle of science and engineering. And much like Raven's portals the transporter had its own quirks. Perhaps the most noticeable quirk was that for a brief instant you were in two places at once. Well, not really, what happened was that half your molecules were still at the source and the other half were at the destination. So you had eyes and senses at both locations, and you perceived those sensations once you were fully reintegrated.
Most people found their first transporter experience to be disorienting for this reason, but quickly shook it off. For a rare few, while the transport was 100% successful they found the experience to be very disturbing. The Titans could hear the transporter's signature hum as they reintegrated aboard the Enterprise.
Raven saw Captain Kirk, wearing his gold tunic, as she stepped off the transporter pad, that is to say before she bent over and threw up.
"There's always a puker in a first time crowd." Scotty mumbled to the yeoman who was operating the transporter controls. The red shirted lad nodded his agreement.
"I will clean it up, sir." The yeoman whispered.
Captain Kirk came to the sorceress's aid, taking her hand as he helped her stand up straight.
"I apologize for that, Miss. The nausea will pass in a few seconds."
Raven quickly looked around and saw that she was the only member of her extended team who became sick. It figured that it would be her.
Gar and their daughter Arella came to her aid. Arella placed her hands on her mother's midsection and her blue light appeared. Scotty quickly opened his tricorder, which of course recorded no energy field of any sort, though it did record that Raven was slowly feeling better.
"Breath slowly, mom." Arella spoke in a soothing voice. She was actually a better healer than her mother.
Raven nodded. "I need a glass of water."
Kirk was a step ahead of her as he had already retrieved a glass full of what looked like water from a replicator, which he handed to her. Raven quickly consumed it, and then looked at Kirk.
"Thank you. But that was more than just water, correct?"
"It is a special emulsion designed specifically to counter the effects of transporter sickness. It's formula was created by Dr. McCoy" Spock interjected.
"Well, I feel much better, thank you." She replied as Kirk took her glass from her.
"Spock, I think some introductions are in order."
"Of course, Captain. You already know Mr. and Mrs. Wayne."
"Your ancestors, of course."
"Correct. These two are Richard and Koriand'r Grayson, also my ancestors."
"Always a pleasure to meet Spock's family."
"And these are the Logan's: Raven, Garfield and their daughter Arella."
"Welcome to the Enterprise … Spock tells me that some of you have super human abilities, or as you call them, 'powers'" He smiled as he turned to Raven. "It is my understanding that you have magical powers, and I presume so does your daughter."
"I see that you are more open minded than Spock." Raven replied.
"Well, I don't discount the possibility that your abilities, as inscrutable and mysterious as they are, might be natural in origin and that we simply do not understand them."
"I see." Raven replied in an icy tone.
"But, I'm not saying that they are not supernatural in origin."
Arella smiled. This captain was a diplomat, a very smooth one.
"Now if you will please join me in my ready room, I would like to learn as much as possible about this Justice League of yours."

The Titans are aboard the Enterprise.
It looks like the timeline has been really polluted and an escape route has been cut off.
