This is my first High School DxD/Skyrim crossover, got the green light from the original author, hope all you readers enjoy the story let's get started!

Prologue
Our story begins in a mysterious room where there were carved pictures of dragons all over the walls. Each one brought devastation and carnage in every town they encounter, killing the villagers in the process. On the far side of the room was a picture of a strange looking man in a mysterious armor rising from the smoke carrying what seems to be a sword and wearing a single gauntlet that no one's seen before.
Suddenly an old man started speaking:
"We should have acted, they're already here, the elder scrolls told of their return, their defeat was merely a delay ...to the time after Oblivion opened... when the sons of Skyrim would spill their own blood."
Using his sword, the warrior began to strike down his enemies with his battle cry that was heard miles away.
"But no one wanted to believe- believe they even existed."
In the end, the warrior stood there in the middle of the battle field as a giant, black dragon appeared from the skies and landed in from of him. The warrior clutched his mighty weapon and charged towards the dragon.
"And when the truth finally dawns, it dawns in fire. But ...there's one they fear."
With one mighty leap, the warrior soars through the air with his trusty weapon at hand while the dragon opened its mouth ready to unleash its fury.
"In their tongue, he is "Dovakiin."
Just as the warrior and the dragon were ready to begin their battle, everything went black.
"Dragonborn!"
Chapter 1: The Red Betrayal
Kouh Academy: Occult Research Club building
It was during after school, all the other kids went home after they were done with their own club activities. Azazel and Rossweisse continued to stick around because they still have things to do as teachers.
The O.R.C. prepared for the school festival with the remaining members. Looks like me and Kiba have to do power related tasks.
Issei then glanced at Rias. She's looking at the documents used at the meeting and is reading it.
A light runs through the top of the table. The light drew a circle, and turns into a shape of a magic circle….
It's a familiar symbol.
"….Phoenix?" Koneko mutters.
It's exactly like Koneko said! This is the magic circle of the Phoenix devil family!
It's a small magic circle which has the size to appear on top of the table.
'A communication type? But who? …Don't tell me it's Raiser? What does he want?'
Issei was in suspicions, but from the magic circle a holographic image was projected and the face of a young woman appears.
She has a high class atmosphere and looks. She has her hair up and adorned with expensive looking accessories.
"Mother!" Ravel made a shocking voice.
'Mother? Wait this is Ravel's mother?! So that means she is the wife of the current head of the house of the Phoenix clan. Which also makes her the mother of Raiser. She's pretty. She looks like she is in her twenties. Since she is a devil, I don't know her real age…. But she certainly looks like Ravel!'
[How do you do, Ravel. Sorry for the sudden call. I couldn't get any time, so I ended up calling at this hour. Is it still school time in the human world?]
"Y-Yes, it certainly is, but why did you call all of a sudden?" When Ravel asks, Lady Phoenix says….
[….Is Rias and the Red Dragon here?]
Rias stands in front of the projection.
"How do you do, Lady Phoenix. It's been awhile."
[My my, Rias. How do you do. It certainly has been awhile. And…..] The Lady looks around.
'Is she looking for me?' I positioned myself where she can see me immediately.
"Ah, hello. I'm Issei Hyoudou."
[Hello to you too. This is our first time meeting like this, isn't it Issei Hyoudou: host of the Red Dragon. I apologise for introducing myself like this.]
"N-No. S-So do you have some business with me…?" I ask while acting politely.
[Yes, I thought I should greet you properly…. Normally, I would go and greet Rias myself who is in charge of the Hyoudou residence and the academy which my daughter will be staying at, but there were reasons why we couldn't visit…]
"…You know, since the demands of the Phoenix's tear are increasing, so maybe they don't have time because of it…" Kiba whispers to my ears.
'Ah, I see… House of Phoenix are the main suppliers for the Phoenix's tears after all.'
Issei heard that there are emergency demands on the Phoenix's tears, and that they can't keep up with the supplies, so the Lady must be with it as well. That must be hard. It's much appreciated, seriously!
Rias replies while smiling. "Not at all, Lady Phoenix. Your words would be enough. Please leave Ravel to us."
[….I'm truly sorry, Rias. For having you taking care of Raiser after the game, and also having you look after Ravel….]
It seems like she isn't saying it with bad intentions. Issei thought they would hold a grudge against them because the engagement was cancelled, but it seems like they don't even have a bit of it. There are so many big hearted people in the house of Phenex.
But for Rias, it must be complicated. After all, she couldn't decline the transfer of Ravel and to look after her.
Then Lady Phoenix looks at Issei.
[Also, Issei Hyoudou. Please especially look after my daughter.]
'…..M-Me too? And she emphasised the word 'especially.'
"Y-Yes, of course. But president is also here, and there are people who can look after her better than me in our club…."
[Yes. Of course, by entrusting my daughter Ravel to Rias and everyone else, then she would have no trouble at the school in the Underworld. But, what I would like to ask of you is different from that. Will you please protect her so no weird pests would come near her? By having the Red Dragon who has gained many achievements next to her, then both my husband and I can feel assured.]
"Weird pests…?"
'So she's telling me to look after her so no guys would come near her in the human's world? I'm also a guy you know….. W-Well, I won't do anything like laying my hands on Ravel. She's my junior. Don't get me wrong she's cute, but I wouldn't lay my hands on her!'
"I understand. I don't know how much I can do, but I will protect your daughter!"
When Issei said that, Lady Phoenix made a bright expression.
And besides Issei, Ravel's face started turning red.
For a moment, the face of Rias who appeared within my sight.
[I thank you very much…Ravel.]
"Yes, mother?"
[You know what you must do? You have to support Rias, and you have to listen to your seniors, and on top of that you have to deepen your relation with Issei Hyoudou. As the daughter from the house of Phoenex, work very hard so you don't tarnish the name of our house, okay?]
"Of course!"
Looks like the mother and daughter are talking about something. Issei didn't know why, but Ravel has her face red, and it looks like she is filled with spirits…
[And lastly, Issei Hyoudou.]
Lady Phoenix talks to Issei again.
"Y-Yes."
[I hear that your dream is to become a high-class devil.]
"Yes, it is….And?"
[My daughter is currently my bishop. I traded with Raiser.]
"Y-Yes, I have heard."
[Please remember it very well. My daughter is free. She is my bishop.. She doesn't belong to Raiser. Do you get what I'm trying to say?]
"Y-Yes! I understand!"
Basically once Issei becomes a high class devil he'll be able to have Ravel as his bishop.
Hearing that, the Lady nods her head.
[My business here is done. Rias, Issei Hyoudou, and everyone, please forgive my sudden introduction. Ravel, behave in a manner where you won't make a shame as a lady.]
"Yes, mother!"
[Now then, everyone. Good bye.]
FLASH
The light brightens, it then turns into a shallow light and disappears
….The greetings of Lady Phoenex which came here like a storm. It must be due to worrying about her daughter and the greetings to us. Though there were things Issei was not sure of….
Issei was in doubts and made a sigh, and Rias who was about to leave the room unsteadily on her foot appears within his sight.
"….Pre….president, where are you going?"
When Issei asked, Rias stops, and she mutters without turning around.
"….Ise, will you protect me?"
'…..Why do you ask such a thing suddenly…..? I don't know, but my answer is obvious!'
"Of course, I will protect president!"
"…And Asia?"
"Eh? Yes, I will also protect Asia!"
"And Akeno?"
"Akeno? That is obvious. But….. What happened, suddenly asking me such a thing?"
'I don't get it. I don't get what president's intention are at all.'
But, Rias asks with a lower tone.
"…Hey, Ise."
"Ye-yes…."
"Ise, what are we to you?" Rias asked.
"What do you mean president?" Issei asked perplexed, not understanding what Rias meant.
"How do you feel about us?" Akeno suddenly interjected, clarifying what her king meant.
"How I feel about you?" Issei said, running the question through his mind as he tried to come up with an answer.
"Well...you are my friends, my comrades and I care greatly about you." Issei replied with a smile, satisfied with his answer but his satisfaction did not live for long when he saw the girls reaction.
The girls were very upset with his answer. They started to remember all the times they attempted to interact with Issei in a romantic and intimate way.
They were confused as to why the brunette they all loved dearly acted like this and when he asked them if something was wrong they decided just to confront him about his feelings towards them but when they heard his reply they wished that they would never have done that.
After hearing that he consider them as friends and comrades, they felt their hearts to ache and their rage to grow up.
At least that how they felt on the inside but on the outside, they were sobbing in sorrow.
"What's wrong?! Did I do something wrong?" Issei asked in panic after seeing the girls crying heavily.
The girls composed themselves before resuming their glaring at Issei who now jumped in shock at how they were looking at him.
He never saw them looking at him with such anger, and it made him afraid and confused.
"Do you have any idea what is wrong?" Issei asked Kiba, hoping the blond will be able to help him.
"Seriously Issei? You don't even realize what you did? Jeez...I can understand very well what the girls are going through!" Kiba said in aggravation.
"What do you mean? Do you know what is going on?" Issei asked in confusion and desperation.
"Yes but you need to figure this out on your own." Kiba deadpanned.
Issei did not respond and instead frowned from the blonde's sudden aggression towards him.
'Why is Kiba so mad? Seriously what the hell is happening?' Issei thought in confusion as he tried to comprehend the situation.
Issei was about to ask Rias what he did wrong so he could fix it before he heard her mutter something that made his heart to break.
"I never should have reincarnated you..." Rias muttered silently in anger and frustration, thinking no one heard her.
"P-president ...Do you really mean that?" Issei asked in sorrow, afraid to hear the Gremory Heiress answer.
Rias frowned upon realizing that she was heard and chose not to respond while the rest just looked at her in confusion as to what Issei meant.
'Did I really mean that?' Rias thought in confusion; her mind was in turmoil.
She loved Issei very much, but there were times that he really hurt her and the rest without even realizing it.
But the worst thing for Rias was how he addressed her.
Every time he addressed her as president and not her name made her heart to ache.
Everyone looked at Rias with confusion after hearing Issei question.
They were confused as to what Issei was talking about and why he sounded like he was in pain.
"Yes..." They suddenly heard their king say.
"President...Please tell me that this is some cruel joke." Issei said in desperation, hoping with every fiber of his being that Rias didn't really mean what she said.
"I am sorry Ise, but there are sometimes when I think that I made a wrong choice reincarnating you." Rias said in sadness as tears once again cascaded her cheeks.
Everyone gasped in surprise when they heard what Rias said.
They thought that Rias loved Issei more than anything else after everything they have been through but hearing that she had doubts about her decision to reincarnate him made them very shocked.
Upon hearing what Rias said Issei's feeling was a mixture of sorrow, anguish, remorse and fury.
[Partner you ok?] Ddraig asked after sensing the distress his partner was currently experiencing.
Issei did not answer which startled the Welsh Dragon.
He was asleep when he suddenly woke up in response to Issei's intense feelings, and he was very confused as to why his partner felt like that.
"I thought you cared for me, all of you but I was wrong...It's just like last time." Issei muttered silently, but he was heard by everyone who frowned in response.
"If you felt that way then you should have left me to die!" Issei suddenly shouted in anger, shocking everyone.
"Ise..." Rias said in sadness after witnessing the brunette outburst in anger, the rest looking at Issei in sorrow.
Issei did not respond and instead glared at everyone before he stormed out of the room in anger.
"Ise wait! Come back...please..." Rias shouted in desperation while lifting her hand and pointing it towards the door like she tried to reach for it.
"What did he mean when he said like last time?" Irina asked in confusion, but she got no answer as everyone was deep in thoughts, trying to digest what happened right now except for one person who frowned after hearing Irina's question.
At first, she did not realize what he meant, but after thinking about it, she remembered the one person who scarred him for life.
"Raynare..." Koneko said with a frown after realizing what Issei meant.
At the mention of the fallen angel, everyone who were present back then snapped out from their train of thoughts and frowned as it dawned on them.
Raynare...They muttered as they thought about the fallen angel as the pieces started to come together.
The frightened looks, the need to have many girls to like him, the lack of reciprocating their feelings.
It all made sense...He still didn't recover from what she did to him.
"What have we done..." Akeno said as dread filled her and the rest.
"We have to find Issei and apologize before it's too late." Kiba said in urgency while hoping that they won't be too late to find Issei.
Rias just stood still with a look of emptiness.
'What have I done?' She thought to herself as she remembered what she said to the boy she loved so much.
She couldn't remember why she said that she regretted reincarnating him as her mind was in utter chaos.
"Rias are you ok?" Akeno asked her king in worry after seeing the empty look her eyes held.
Rias continued to look ahead while ignoring her queen question which made her worry to increase.
"Rias! C'mon snap out of it!" Akeno said while she shook her king.
"Akeno?" Rias said after regaining her senses.
"Rias we have to go and find Issei as soon as possible." Akeno explained to her king with urgency.
"R-Right...Let's go." Rias said still a little shocked before they all went outside to search for Issei.
With Issei
"I can't believe that after everything we've been through that's how they treat me." Issei said in disbelief.
"I thought that they all cared for me...Especially Rias but apparently I was wrong...Raynare was right." Issei said in sadness.
On this day Issei received a grim reminder.
A reminder of his time with Raynare and the things she told him which eventually scarred him for life.
He aimlessly ran with his eyes closed while contemplating about everything that transpired today before he literally couldn't feel the ground. Opening his eyes to see that he's in an endless void, where in every direction, there is a mix of iridescent colors
"How did I get here..." Issei asked himself.
"I brought you here." Spoke a extremely powerful voice.
Issei turned around to see a huge western red dragon with a pair of bright gold eyes, a single horn on his snout, 2 pairs of wings 4 wings in total along with a spiked tail.
This was Great Red, the Apocalypse Dragon, the True Red Dragon God Emperor as well as the Dragon of Dreams.
"Y-your Great Red r-right?" Issei asked nervously.
"No need to be so nervous kid, ever since you went all juggernaut in the Underworld I've been keeping a close eye on you."
[Well well, never thought the Apocalypse Dragon would keep tabs on my host. I feel honored.] Said Ddraig sounding almost like a fanboy.
"Ddraig please have some dignity why don't you." Issei embarrassed by Ddraig acting like this.
"So why did you bring me here?" Asking the big red behemoth.
"I brought you here to offer you a 'get out of a horrible life' free card." Great Red explained.
"Really?"
"Of course."
Great Red started glowing bright gold so bright Issei had to cover his eyes, once the light died down Issei caught glimpse of a red spiky haired man with a crimson outfit that looked like it belonged to a biker, this was Great Red's human form.
"So what's this offer you got for me?
With the snap of his fingers Great Red conjured a portal.
"Beyond this portal is a whole new world just waiting for you."
"And your doing this for me why? From what I heard you don't care what happens around you so long as nobody bothers you. All you do here is fly around the gap, grace the supernatural world with your presence whenever a tear in the gap would appear, or get in a fight with Orphis whenever she tries to kick you out."
"Easy, for starters you got betrayed by your closest friends and loved ones. Second, I like you kid- your not afraid to throw down with anyone including gods. And lastly, that world could give you some relief, a clean slate unlike the one we're in now. And besides, do you really want to stay as a flashy toy for the Gremory girl?"
Issei placed his hand on his chin thinking it over. Should he accept he'll be given the chance for a fresh start, the downside is that he'd be leaving his parents, his two perverted friends he had since he enrolled in Kouh Academy, as well as Ravel since she wasn't ganging up on him with the rest of the O.R.C. Should he refuse he'll just be labeled as a stray and hunted down by the devils.
"If I agree can you help me with getting the evil pieces out of me?"
"Sure just what do you want to do with them once they're out?"
"They're going to be a surprise for a certain person."
With the O.R.C.
"Issei where are you? Please come back!" Irina shouted as she and the rest of the O.R.C. looked around for Issei.
They have been looking all around Kyoto already, and so far there was nothing that could tell them where he went.
During their search, Rias did not speak a single word as she seemed to be deep in thought.
"How is this possible? We have been searching for hours, and we haven't found a single clue about where he is." Xenovia asked in frustration.
"I don't know Xenovia, but we have to keep looking." Akeno said with determination as well, refusing to give up on searching for Issei.
They kept looking around until they reached a place that looked like a ruined shrine that was in the outskirts of Kyoto.
"D-Do you guys feel that?" Akeno asked as they neared the shrine, feeling a weird and unusual aura coming from within the shrine.
"Strange." Koneko said with her stoic face as she looked at the shrine before she started to walk towards it, the rest following suit.
As they were getting closer to the shrine, the mysterious aura they felt began to get stronger, but something about it alarmed the devils.
This aura was not the usual aura you would sense in a divine place like a shrine; it was something else, something...oddly familiar.
Upon entering the shrine they were met with the ruins, but in the middle of the shrine they saw something that made their hearts to sink as dread, panic and fear filled their souls.
On the floor of the shrine, they saw eight crimson pawn pieces that belonged to none other than Issei.
Rias who was still deep in thought as they entered the shrine snapped out of it the moment she saw her evil pieces.
Guilt and anguish started to fill the Gremory heiress as she went ahead and picked up the evil pieces.
"Ise..." She muttered as tears began to emerge from her eyes before she broke down into crying.
After seeing their King break down into crying the rest of the girls and Gasper broke down as well except Kiba who just looked at the scene with wide eyes, still refusing to believe what he was seeing.
"I-I can't believe Issei's dead!" Gasper said between sobs as he tried to wipe his tears away.
The rest of the girls only cried louder after hearing what Gasper said.
"I don't think he's dead Gasper, because otherwise, we would have seen his body here." Kiba interjected, making everyone freeze as confusion and bewilderment filled them.
"S-So you saying Issei is not dead?" Irina asked in bewilderment, trying to cling to the bit of hope Kiba provided her.
"I don't think so Irina." Kiba said with a small smile, believing that his friend was not dead.
After hearing what Kiba and Irina said the rest of the girls managed to compose themselves.
"But how is that possible? He ejected his evil pieces which mean certain death." Akeno refuted Kiba's assumption.
She like everyone else wanted to believe that Issei was alive but as much as she hated to admit it she knew that the odds for that are very slim.
"You may be right Akeno, but if he indeed died then we would have found his body here, so something doesn't make sense here." Kiba said.
Everyone's feelings were currently turmoil, they did not know if they should feel hope that he may be alive or grief that he died. They were utterly confused as to why his body was not there because as Akeno said, ejecting your evil pieces means instant and certain death.
One thing they all agreed on was that something did not make sense here and after thinking about it carefully, examining in their minds every situation that could occur here they all nailed it down to the only two situations that made sense.
It was either Issei miraculously survived the ejection or an unknown source was involved and stole his body.
"Everyone let's go back to the club building, I will contact my brother tomorrow so he could help us." Rias said, drained from everything that happened today.
The rest just nodded before they all went back to the O.R.C. building.
In the dimensional gap with Issei and Great Red
"Urgh...what happened?" Issei groggily asked as he woke up.
"Congratulations kid, you are now a full fledged dragon." Great Red announced while still in his human form.
Issei got up to his feet feeling sore. "Well hot damn I feel like I haven't stretched in months!"
"That's because after took those evil pieces out of you I saved your life by turning you into a dragon, the process would've taken 3 months to be completely done, instead I placed you in a dimensional bubble that would speed things along." Great Red explained.
"Cool but what about Ddraig?" Issei asking worriedly about his partner.
[Still here partner and I must say due to the transformation you've gotten a lot stronger than ever!]
"Thanks Ddraig, you've been by my side throughout my whole life and for that I thank you."
[No worries, in all my time in the boosted gear your the only one who didn't see me as a weapon or tool, for I see you as a brother in arms.]
While the two were having a heart to heart conversation Great Red was having a blank expression on his face.
"Are you two done? If so hurry up world travel costs tremendous amount of power and my arm's starting to get tired."
"Oh right hehe our bad, so Ddraig ready to face a new world with me?"
[Always partner.]
"Alright big R I'm ready."
"Good luck kid and try not to get yourself killed this time."
Issei looks through the portal and sees a snowy forest. 'Good bye old world, as for you new world get ready for Issei Hyoudou!'
And with his final thoughts in the gap Issei proceeds to go through the portal, once the portal closed Great Red returned to his dragon form.
'Farewell Red Dragon Emperor, may you live a good life.'
