Hi! I decided to start a new fanfiction where I take what I think could happen if instead of the reboot, the series had continued as normal. Think of this first chapter as a pilot for this idea and if I get lots of engagement, I'll continue it. In case you're wondering, I do plan on finishing TDBVBVB but need some more time to work on the next chapter. Season Eight: Total Drama Champions Vs Contenders
Episode One: Are You A Champion?
Chris stood in front of the camera with his iconic confident smile worn on his face, "Welcome back fans! For this season, we have eight of our most iconic champions that have made it to the finale of this game against eight of our underdogs. The ones that have never even made the merge, which team will come out on top and which competitor will win the coveted million dollars! Find out here on Total Drama Champions Vs Contenders!"
The first boat came towards the island, "Here come our contenders." The first to step onto the infamous island was the nature loving, aura reader, Dawn. "It is good to be back, Chris."
Dawn: On Revenge Of The Island, I didn't do very well thanks to that traitor Scott but he can't be here so I might just have a chance!
The next to leave the boat was the "good" twin, Sammy. "Hi, Samey!" Chris announced. Before the shy girl could speak up, Dawn stepped in, "Her name is Sammy." Chris rolled his eyes but Sammy gave Dawn a shy smile as the third contestant entered. This was the sarcastic bookworm, Noah. "Hey, old guy. I'm looking forward to an exciting session of torture." Chris glares and says,
"Why did I invite that guy back?" Chef walked up to him,
"Because the fans all love the nerd." Chris looked annoyed but continued with his job saying,
"And Chef's here too." He waved.
The next to fall over onto the dock was the athletic clutz, Tyler. "Hey, Chris! Glad to be back!"
Chris nodded, "Don't worry, we'll knock that enthusiasm out of you nice and quick." He smirked as Tyler walked away, confused. The noble soldier, Brick, was next to walk in, "Brick Macarthur, at your service." He gave a salute to Chris. Noah laughed and joked,
"First order of duty, quit the game and convince everyone to let me win."
The sixth one to walk on was the Chris McLean wannabe, Topher. "Hey, Chris. Thanks for inviting me back, don't worry, I'll do the same for you on my spinoff." Chris looks fuming but manages to calm down enough to introduce the hopeless romantic farmer, Rodney. "It's Rodney, everyone!" This statement is met with lukewarm reactions, the best he gets is a friendly salute from Brick. The final contender is the muscle woman with a temper, Eva. "Why am I here, Chris?" Noah responds before the host has a chance to,
"It's because you suck at this game and never made merge, just like the rest of us." She charges up and grabs the bookworm by his throat telling him, "I did make merge on Total Drama Island. Look into it in your encyclopaedia, nerd!" She lets go and Noah coughs and coughs as Chris explains, "You may have made a merge but only because we let you return and you didn't even survive that elimination."
"Now, losers, it's time to meet people that really matter," Eva's anger with this statement is evident but Rodney and Brick barely hold her back. "The Champions!" A golden yacht comes in with eight iconic winners on it, the first to step off is the rebellious finalist of Total Drama Action, Duncan. "Sup, MacLean, it's been a while."
"Yeah, since you blew up my mansion and got yourself landed in jail, you mean?"
"Want me to do it again?" Not intimidated, Chris backs down anyway. The second Champion to enter the camp is the wicked finalist of Total Drama World Tour, Heather. The moment she enters, Eva charges at her with blind rage and Brick and Rodney have to, again, hold onto her for dear life. Despite this, Heather doesn't look scared.
Heather: Time to become the first person to ever make it to the finals of two separate Total Drama seasons. So far, my only competitors are a bunch of established losers and the wannabe criminal. Although, I guess that idiot became an official criminal now, huh?
The handsome manipulator that made it to the final of Total Drama World Tour enters. "Hey, Al!" Chris greets with a smirk on his face. Alejandro takes a deep breath as Noah and Heather echo the host, "Hey, Al!" they say together.
"You might be laughing now but not for long." says the evil genius. The fourth champion to enter is the finalist of Total Drama Pahkitew Island, Sky. "Hello, competitors." she says.
Sky: This season is my chance to win without all the chaos with Dave and all that. No romance for me this time, thanks!
Walking onto the dock is the "normal" guy that was a finalist of Total Drama All Stars, Mike. "Hi, everyone! How are you all?" Duncan looks sceptically at him,
"Who's asking? Mike? Mall? That weird old guy?"
"My personalities are gone now!" he shouts. Before Duncan can reply, the greedy finalist of Total Drama Island, Owen enters the game. "Whoo! It's great to be back!" The already enthusiastic Tyler runs up to Owen and high fives him. "My man!" Even Duncan comes and gives him a hug as his pure joy rubs off on everyone except for Heather, Alejandro and Eva.
The penultimate champion to enter this season is the goth that made it to the finals of Total Drama Island, Gwen. "Hi, guys."
"Hi, Gwen." Her and Duncan lock eyes for a solid moment before Owen runs up and hugs the both of them, "It's been so long!" he shouts. The final competitor of the season is the athletic finalist of Total Drama Revenge Of The Island, Lightning. "The Sha-Lightning is here! Saved best for last, huh, Chris?"
"Sure, Lightning. Now, let's get into this new season of Total Drama!"
"You guys know the rules, don't you? Half of you know this game so well, you made it to the final two of it but the other half kinda'... sucked at it." Eva's glare saments into his head but she doesn't attack. "Your very first challenge is simple. Last to leave a circle wins but you can push each other out of the circle at will. Good luck and get fighting!"
The sixteen enter the circle and instantly Eva goes for Heather, all her anger at what happened eight seasons ago coming out as she shoves her out of the circle. Everybody gasps before all out war breaks out. Duncan and Rodney throw punches at each other and as the latter is about to win, Gwen comes out and shoves Rodney out. "Thanks, Gwen." says Duncan as he locks eyes with the goth for another moment, "Well, you are a member of my team so I do want to win." As this awkward exchange occurs, Sky and Eva get in a harsh fight while Lightning kicks Sammy out of the circle. Topher barely dodges a dive from Owen as he falls out of the circle. Tyler charges at Mike but then trips out of the circle. As Eva defeats Sky, Noah and Alejandro run into each other.
"Hi, contender." Alejandro says with a smirk.
"If it weren't for you, I'd be a champion." Noah comes back with but Alejandro merely chuckles and knocks him out of the circle. "Wow, impressive." Noah quips, "Almost as good as Josè could've done." Despite losing, the bookworm still has a smile on his face. Alejandro doesn't have a chance to get angry because Topher punches him but the handsome manipulator turns around and grabs him, throwing him out of the circle.
Eva charges at Mike to get rid of him and then swings her arm around to punch Gwen and she falls out of the challenge. Duncan runs towards Dawn who's calmly meditating in the middle of the circle as Lightning tries to beat Brick. Dawn very slightly shifts her place without even opening her eyes as Duncan falls out of the circle and directly into the mud. Alejandro sneaks behind the pacifist to throw her out of the circle. Brick and Lightning's wrestling match ends with them both ending up out of the challenge.
This leaves Eva and Alejandro. "Hi, Eva." Eva hesitates before charging as Alejandro takes his shirt off, "You wouldn't mind just giving me this win, I might get voted out otherwise."
Blinded by his charm, she says, "Ok." She begins to walk out of the circle before suddenly doing a 360 to swing her fist at Alejandro and knock the villain out of the circle. "Contenders win!" Chris announces.
Eva: You really thought I'd fall for that sweet guy act?
The contestants walk towards the elimination but Alejandro decides to talk to Owen. "Vote for Mike." he whispers as Owen seems surprised by the request.
"Why?" he whispers back.
"Because we're friends." the manipulator walks away. Owen doesn't have much time to consider as Noah walks up to him. "Don't trust eels. Ever."
"Eels can be nice," Noah shakes his head and walks away as Owen yells, "Ancient Egyptians loved eels!"
"It's time for the vote," the host announces, "Marshmallows go to….. Sky, Gwen, Duncan, Owen, Lightning." Heather looks confident, Mike looks nervous as Alejandro looks a mix between the two. "A marshmallow for Heather and finally…. Alejandro. Goodbye, Mike." He seems shocked as he walks away.
"Bye, Mall!" yells Duncan as Mike walks away.
"That's it for today! Will the champions beat the contenders, will Owen stop trusting eels and who will go next? Find out next time on Total Drama Champions Vs Contenders!"
