When Norman heard about what happened to the Nashes on the news, he stopped by the hospital to check in on Bobby and Athena as soon as he could, anxious to see for himself if they were both okay. He knocked on the door and entered the room when Bobby called him in. He clearly wasn't expecting to see Norman but he grinned at the other man despite the shock he was still in. "Hey, how are you doing?" Bobby questioned.

"Still recovering. Having more good days than bad days now," Norman admitted. "Still recovering, and it'll be a long road before I'm back to normal. Or whatever normal is these days."

"You and Lola?"

Norman blew out a breath as he sat down in the chair next to Bobby's bed. "We're separated. I don't know if I can forgive her - haven't made up my mind yet about a divorce."

"Take your time - you don't have to decide right now," Bobby assured him. "I'm sorry."

Norman waved off his concern. "You don't have to apologize, especially after you saved my life. Besides, I'm sorry you and Athena lost your house and all your things."
Bobby glanced down at the blanket covering him, keeping him warm. "Finding somewhere new to live isn't going to be easy but we'll figure it out."

"Of course you will. And how are you feeling?"

He shrugged. "I had a heart attack but should recover in time. The doctor was actually pretty impressed - I'm a fast healer, though."

The door opened and Athena stepped in, doing a double take when she spotted Norman. "Norman! It's so good to see you. How are you?"

He shrugged. "Okay. How are you?"

"Looking for a new place to live after we lost everything," she informed him, rejoining Bobby on the bed. She kissed her husband before glancing over at Norman.

"We still have each other and the kids, though, which is the most important part," Bobby reminded her, pulling his wife in for a hug.

"Damn straight," Athena agreed. "And where is Lola?"

Norman briefly explained they were separated, Athena holding back on telling him he was better off without her. She understood that wouldn't be helpful or received well at this moment. He checked the time on his phone. "I'm sorry guys, but I have to go. Regret that I couldn't stay very long."

"Don't worry about it - we appreciate that you stopped by in the first place," Bobby assured him before grabbing Norman's hand to shake it.

"We should exchange numbers," Norman mused. It'd be nice to keep in touch with one another, and form a friendship.

"Sounds like a great idea." Athena grabbed both their new phones and handed them over to Norm, who added his number to their contacts.

The three of them exchanged goodbyes and Norman left, headed home to settle in for the night. This was the true start of a burgeoning friendship between Norman and the Nashes, one that had kickstarted during the cruise ship disaster.
