bopdog111: Well from the cleanup we had done, a fic is getting revived.
Ulrich362: True, a very long overdue fic... one of my personal favorites but one that's going to be a bit different than you remember... with several changes from a similar fic.
bopdog111: And previously requested by Si3075. He had kept asking me to bring it back several times, and now we're doing that but not cause he ask cause we want too. Even since a new better Deck can be used by Caleb instead of a Number Deck.
Ulrich362: Not just him, we're changing more decks too.
bopdog111: And some storylines as I had felt, I had ruined it from how the Ritual kid's storyline is progressing.
Ulrich362: True, so with that said… enjoy the chapter.

The sounds of a woman screaming echoed through a hospital as a young man with silver hair and gold eyes was holding his head in his hands while shaking.
A tanned man wearing a scientist outfit was sitting beside him rubbing his head. This was a very important day for this coming family. A couple named Zarc, and Ray were expecting there first child through a unexpected pregnancy, and despite a long talk from Ray's father, Leo Akaba, who is the man beside the new father, he nonetheless supported the two over eager to be a great grandfather, and to help both his daughter, and future son-in-law to be great parents.
"Keep cheering her on here Zarc." Leo kept having Zarc to cheer his girlfriend on from out here having been told that he can't be in while Ray is giving birth. "Very soon, you two will be parents but she needs your help from here."
"I know I just... I wish I was in there with her but the doctor said it would be better if I stayed here until they called me." Zarc admitted nervously. "I love her Mr. Akaba."
"I know... I was the same when Ray was being born as well." Mr. Akaba assured he knows what he is feeling just waiting. "But nothing we can do but cheer her on here."
"Maybe I should have left them by her bed." Zarc mentioned. "They'd keep her safe and healthy."
Mr. Akaba nodded as they waited before they heard another loud scream by the woman but also heard something else. The loud shrill cry of a baby. Zarc practically jumped at the sound. "Ray!"
Mr. Akaba stood up with him waiting before then a doctor exit out looking over to the two smiling. "Congratulations sir. You have a healthy baby girl."
"A girl… can I see them?" Zarc asked nervously. "They're both ok right?"
"Of course." the doctor stepped widening the door for them to head inside.
"Go in first Zarc." Mr. Akaba told him with a smile that the dad should meet the baby with the mother.
Zarc nodded taking a breath as he slowly walked into the room. "Ray? Can you hear me?"
He sees a maroon haired woman looking exhausted, red in the face with sweat, and a smile having tears was laying in bed holding a pink bundle looking down to it before looking up towards him. "Zarc..." She turned back towards the bundle smiling more.
He slowly walked over and took her hand. "You're so amazing."
Ray smiled before she turned. "Look here baby... this is daddy..." The bundle was a baby girl with hair the same color as Zarc as she cooed opening her eyes slowly.
"Oh my god… that's the most incredible sound." Zarc admitted tearing up. "Our baby girl."
Ray softly moved to hand there daughter to him. Zarc delicately took her before holding her close and kissing her forehead. "Our baby girl... Dawn Akaba."
They heard a knock seeing Mr. Akaba looking. "Can I come in?"
Mr. Akaba walked over seeing the baby in Zarc's arms widening his arms. "Is that...?"
"She's Dawn, our sweet baby girl... she's so perfect." Zarc choked up a bit as he held her close and Dawn rested her head against her daddy's chest.
"You did amazing Ray." Mr. Akaba smiled to Ray who smiled tiredly taking some breathes.
The doctor walked in in holding a clipboard writing stuff in. "Do we have a name?"
"Yes, we decided to name the baby Da-AAAAHHHH!" Ray suddenly screamed in agony startled from pain that she is suddenly feeling as another contraction.
That startled all of them before Mr. Akaba ran taking her shoulder. "Ray!? Ray what's wrong!?"
"It hurts!" she cried making the doctor hurry over to check on her as her eyes widened. "Oh, we aren't finished here... I see another baby."
"What...?"
"Ray isn't done!" the doctor repeated over to Zarc who widen his eyes giving Dawn to Mr. Akaba, and held Ray's hand. "Ray I need you to push again now! Push!"
Ray was trembling as she was taking a few breaths before squeezing Zarc's hand tightly as she had pained tears.
She did a loud scream which made Zarc wince both from the volume, and from the hand squeezing as Dawn scared started crying in her Grandfather's arms as he holds her while this is happening as the doctor kept a close watch as this happens. Soon another baby cry filled the air as she smiled over sighing looking up to Ray who looked down more exhausted as she raised up with another baby in her arms. "Baby boy this time Mrs. Akaba."
"A... a boy?" Ray asked though she looked really weak and exhausted. "Zarc... let me see our son."
Nodding he carefully waited as the doctor wrapped the boy in a blue bundle before moving to let Ray see their son's hair was the same color as hers but he was crying and shuddering.
Ray gasped before hugging her son close kissing his head. "There, there sweetie... mommy's here."
He was sniffling and looked scared before opening his eyes and looking up at her.
Ray smiled exhausted as Mr. Akaba walked over softly handing Dawn to her as she held them both together in her arms staring at her children. "Oh Dawn..." She then turned to her son. "And Ace... you both look wonderful... I hope I'll be an amazing mommy to you two."
"You'll be an incredible mother." Zarc smiled as they noticed Dawn was looking at her brother with wide eyes as Ace had a few tears.
Seeing this Ray softly moved laying on her side, and laying the two beside her close together. Ace was tearing up as his head was against her but he looked calmer while Dawn was just watching him.
Seeing his wife and twin children like that Zarc couldn't stop himself from starting to cry. "Mr... Mr. Akaba? Is this what... real happiness feels like?"
"Yes it is." Mr. Akaba smiled with tears himself.
"Okay. Real quick for photo time." the doctor smiled taking a camera. "Alright then proud father, and Grandfather just get into the picture with the proud mother, and kids."
Nodding the two of them got into position with Zarc kneeling down next to his wife and putting a hand on hers while Leo Akaba smiled softly behind them.
"Okay... and cheese." the doctor snapped the picture before the picture exited that she takes waving slightly, and handed it over to Leo Akaba with a smile. "Here you are sir."
"Thank you very much." Leo Akaba smiled.
"How... how long until they can come home?" Zarc asked curiously as he had picked up Ace and was gently rocking him while Dawn had fallen asleep in Ray's arms.
"At least a week." the doctor explained over to them. "We have to be sure both your babies are okay as we had been unaware you were having twins, and born a little premature."
Ray nodded taking a breath. "As long as... Ace and Dawn are both ok."
"They will be Ray, get some rest... we'll be right here for you." Leo Akaba told her gently.
Ray smiled tired before finally from the long day, and the surprise of having twins finally had her go to sleep snoozing peacefully while holding her daughter close.
Zarc softly kissed her forehead before sitting in a chair next to her so he could be there for her. Seeing that Leo Akaba smiled, it might have been an unplanned pregnancy and he wasn't exactly thrilled but seeing how much Zarc cared for his daughter and their twin children it brought a tear to his eye... maybe he should talk with Zarc about his blessing when he had time.
So after the week Ray is recovering a bit as she tries resting for childbirth while Dawn, and Ace were checked over to make sure nothing bad happens to them doing all sorts of tests. Hearing her babies crying while there being checked on pained Ray's heart but kept being strong for her children as they are returned to her later. Then finally after a week Ray was allowed to leave but to have her body recover smoothly the hospital supplied them with a wheelchair to not put any strain on her recovering body as she holds there babies to head back home with Leo Akaba walking with them.
"Oh so good to be out of the hospital now..." Ray takes a deep breath enjoying the fresh air glad to finally be out, and head home with her children who she had been waiting eagerly to bring back.
"How do you feel Ray, we're going home with our babies." Zarc smiled looking at the two bundles Ray was holding close to her heart.
"I feel wonderful..." Ray smiled as Zarc wheels her just holding Ace, and Dawn close to her.
"You are wonderful Ray, and so are our beautiful babies." Zarc smiled warmly.
Dawn suddenly started cooing, and babbling reaching for Zarc who is wheeling Ray.
"I hear you sweetie, but we need to get home then daddy will hold you for as long as you want." Zarc smiled to her.
Ray smiled as she kissed her daughter's head. Dawn giggled happily at that.
Soon enough they were at the Akaba's house where Ray was gently breastfeeding Ace as Zarc was holding Dawn and shaking a small rattle for her which was making the newborn baby girl giggle happily.
"Eat up Ace." Ray smiled rubbing the back of his head as he eats gently.
He closed his eyes while gently drinking her milk, it was obvious that Ace was more timid and shy than his sister but he also absolutely adored her and Ray. It hadn't taken them long to realize that he couldn't sleep unless she was close to him, not that Dawn seemed to mind as she was just fascinated by her twin brother and tried to watch everything he did... well, when she wasn't giggling and playing with her dad.
"Zarc?" Leo Akaba stepped in looking to his son-in-law who turned over. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Huh, sure Mr. Akaba I'll be right there." Zarc mentioned as he gave Dawn a kiss on the forehead. "Daddy will be right back sweetie, promise you won't get any cuter while I'm gone?"
Dawn blinked but giggled happily hearing that while Zarc chuckled and walked over to Leo Akaba.
"Bring her over here Zarc. It's about time for her to eat anyway." Ray told him before he left.
"Huh, oh sure Ray." Zarc smiled gently picking up Dawn and gently helping Ray hold her softly as she began to eat alongside her brother while Zarc paused and planted a gentle kiss on Ray's lips. "I'll be right back, ok?"
"Yeah, but promise you'll tell me what dad said to you?" Ray asked as she sighed and rubbed her children's backs softly.
"Of course I will." Zarc smiled going to talk with Leo Akaba. They walked together reaching to the next room where they will talk before Zarc looked over to Leo Akaba curiously. "What is it Mr. Akaba?"
"Zarc, you truly love Ray don't you?" Leo Akaba inquired. "And I know for a fact you absolutely adore your kids... I'd call you a doting father but I think that would be selling it short... they mean the world to you, all three of them am I right?"
"Yes of course." Zarc answered immediately. "I would keep all three of them safe."
"I had a feeling, which is why I wanted to talk to you... have you given any thought to... marriage?" Leo Akaba inquired.
Zarc blinked before he widen his eyes. "Marriage...? You mean that...?" He had once asked for his blessing in marriage over which he said that one day he will receive it but he had to prove he really does love Ray after he had gotten her pregnant, and Zarc tries his best to prove it to him.
"I do, to be honest when you asked me I was always intending on giving it to you one day... you care about Ray more than just about anyone else in the world and you've proven you love her in so many ways." Leo Akaba smiled proudly to Zarc who stared shocked. "And after seeing the four of you together I just knew you would make a perfect family... and I'm proud to call you my son."
Zarc stared before then smiling nodding to him. "Well... I planned on proposing as soon as I have your blessing. I have the ring already prepared, and everything, I just need to pop the question!"
"Well, you know it takes a lot of time to prepare an actual wedding." Leo Akaba pointed out to him.
Zarc nodded before then turning over taking a breath walking back in the room. "Ray?"
Ray was holding the two now sleeping twins after they finished eating turning over, and gave a slight shush.
"Oh, sorry." Zarc whispered walking over to her. "I... wanted to talk to you about something."
"Yes Zarc?" Ray asked him quietly.
"Well... you know that I love you right?" he asked gently moving to sit on the bed with her and their kids. "More than anything else in the world."
"Yes I do." Ray smiled over to him as she holds her twins close. "I really do love you a lot, and I want nothing more then to spend my life with you."
"I feel the same way, and... I think we might be able to do that... if you want." Zarc admitted as he took out his deck box. "So if you don't mind... Ray Akaba..."
He knelt down next to the bed as he opened the box only to take out a diamond ring.
"Will you marry me?"
"W-What...?" Ray widen her eyes shocked seeing the ring stunned from what he is doing.
"Will you... marry me Ray?" Zarc asked again.
Ray stared before not helping herself squealed. "Yes! Yes Zarc, I will marry you!" She covered her mouth but her children woken up but instead of crying they started giggling, and babbling over.
"It sounds like our kids are happy to hear that." Zarc smiled gently placing the ring on her finger. "It'll take a while to get the wedding set but... I think it's going to be amazing."
"Oh Zarc... I love you so much." Ray smiled with tears in her eyes.
He smiled hugging her back with a kiss. "We have a lot of planning to do, but we'll do it all together."
Both Dawn, and Ace babbled over tapping both there parents together as if saying they will also help.
"Of course you will, we couldn't do it without you two." Ray smiled at her two children.
Over the next few months Ray and Zarc started trying to make all the preparations for their wedding... though it ended up being much harder than they expected and they hadn't gotten much done at all... they just knew that they were in love.
"This is more complicated then I thought..." Ray frowned out of her wheelchair as her body healed enough for her to move without causing stress but the doctor told them not to have sexual intercourse again for a few more months.
"Yeah, I know what you mean and..." Zarc started before they heard Ace crying loudly.
"Ace?" Ray looked walking to the play pen where there twins are at to check on Ace.
Dawn was sitting and watching but Ace was pulling up on the playpen wall to try and stand up but he was having trouble.
"Ace?" Ray looked surprised seeing her son is doing this. "Are you trying...?"
Seeing her he let go of the edge of the playpen and fell backwards starting to cry louder. Ray softly takes him in her arms pulling him up. "Sssshh, shhhh... it's okay Acey, it's okay... mommy's here."
He started to cling to her again as Dawn looked up clearly worried for her brother. Zarc walked softly taking Dawn up, and brings her close to Ace. She gently reached over for his arm and patted it softly making him look over and smile a bit as Dawn giggled.
"Dawn you be a good big sister okay?" Zarc smiled kissing his daughter's head.
She giggled happily at that before the phone started to ring. Ray blinked before walking still holding Ace, and takes the phone answering. "Akaba Residence."
"Hello, is this where I can find Mr. Zarc?" inquired an overly cheery voice. "I'm a duel promoter you see and I can spot potential in that young man... could I perhaps speak with him?"
"Hang on a sec." Ray spoke before she turned over to Zarc who is caring for Dawn. "Zarc?" He looked over towards her as she said. "A Duel Promoter wants to talk to you."
"Duel Promoter?" Zarc asked walking over while holding Dawn as he took the phone. "Hello?"
"Ah is this Mr. Zarc?"
"Yes, this is him. Who is this?" Zarc asked.
"My name is Nico Smiley, and I have to say my boy you have talent and quite a lot of it too." the man answered as Zarc could almost hear his grin. "I'd like to offer you my services in promoting you as a true champion... In fact I also have a duel in mind for tomorrow if you're interested."
"A duel tomorrow?" Zarc earlier would've been on board as he loved to duel with his four dragons but the time since Dawn, and Ace were born had taken much of his time, and now that he proposed, had tried to focus on getting the perfect wedding between him, and Ray settled alongside juggling in caring for both there twins so this is a difficult choice for him to make. "Well... I don't know, it's just that..." Feeling a hand on his shoulder he turned over seeing Ray giving him a smile.
"You love dueling Zarc, and this could be an opportunity for our kids to see what made me fall in love in the first place... seeing how happy you are alongside the five of them." Ray smiled warmly. "We both know you love the joy of dueling alongside your dragons after all."
He stared over before he then looked over to his son, and daughter. They were smiling and giggling seeing him. Staring them looking so happy had helped his decision so he smiled before then raising the phone. "Well Mr. Smiley... I accept your offer."
"That's wonderful news, your opponent will be expecting you Zarc and trust me this is one decision you won't regret." Nico Smiley grinned. "I'll see you at the stadium at 2:00 tomorrow afternoon."
With that he hung up the phone.
Zarc hang up with a smile before feeling some patting that he looked seeing Dawn patting on him that he smiled rubbing her head. "Are you already wishing me luck Dawn?"
Giggling happily she nodded as Ace looked at his twin sister before patting on Zarc like she did. Zarc smiled before kissing both the tops of there heads. "Well I can't let my biggest fans down can I?"
"You definitely can't." Ray smiled kissing him. "And that goes for all three of us."
Zarc chuckled over before then looking over towards something on a side table near the table. "What about you five, want to get your muscles worked out tomorrow?" He heard five happy roars which made him smile. "There eager as well to show the kids what they can do."
"Well, I can't wait to see them in action." Ray smiled.
"Well you, and the kids cheer me on, and give me the biggest smiles you can give." Zarc told them with a smile over.
"Of course we will." Ray smiled while Dawn and Ace giggled happily.
The next day...
"Alright everyone glad you all can make it!" a young man having black hair, and mustache wearing a yellow uniform with glasses announced in a large dueling arena as everyone in it cheered over eager for a big great battle ahead. The announcer, Nico Smiley, had promised a large grand match today having found a duelist who can duel well. "Today we have here a special treat for you all as we have a duelist who has grand potential making himself known with the new Solid Vision technology developed by Leo Enterprises, and we can see what he can do firsthand. So here it is folks give yourselves up for our new Duelist, the Dragon Wonder, and new father, Zarc TakUMMMMAAAAA!"
Zarc blushed a bit as he walked out waving to the crowd while looking for his family. Soon he sees them watching with Mr. Akaba over at a set of stairs at the bottom level close distance with said man smiling with crossed arms, and Ray holding both twins in her arms watching with a smile but both kids started giggling, and reaching for there father in the arena.
Zarc smiled seeing them.
"And to help test the new Solid Vision technology and give Zarc a run for his money is the draconic ruler himself, a tactical master and lord of this stadium Drake Kaisar!" Nico Smiley announced as a blonde man with dark brown eyes walked out with a grin.
"A battle between dragons, interesting." Drake chuckled.
Zarc turned over seeing him before Nico Smiley voiced to the two. "Now then boys, the difference here is that you can touch, and interact with your monsters with Solid Vision. Give this crowd a big match they deserve!"
The two duelists nodded as Zarc and Drake began their duel, running alongside their dragons, flying through the sky and smiling together before finally Zarc grinned.
"I activate Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's ability. I use two Overlay Units to cut Blaster's attack points in half and he gains those points. Treason Discharge!"
A dark, and metallic like dragon roared shooting purple electricity from his wings over at a monster binding it hard.
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon: (ORU: 2 - 1 - 0/ATK/ 2500 + 1400 = 3900)
Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Infernos: (ATK: 2800/2 = 1400)
"Finish this duel, attack!" Zarc called.
Dark Rebellion charged in roaring against the pinned Dragon Ruler before piercing through it, and it was destroyed winning him the match.
"What a match! After a fierce flight of ferocious dragons this duel ends in an electrifying victory for Zarc!" Nico Smiley announced.
At that everyone cheered loud clapping over for Zarc who looked around surprised as he sees everyone cheering, and smiling clapping over for him after seeing him, and his dragons over that he slowly smiled over before noticing over to his family of otherside Dawn assuring Ace who looks a little scared from the large applause, they were trying to be the loudest cheers in the entire stadium for him.
Seeing his family's smiles Zarc felt like he was the king of the world, the duel was amazing, Mr. Akaba's technology worked perfectly, and he had fun. Soon after the duel everyone in the stadium left, and Zarc met up with his family where the two twins are reaching laughing over for him.
Zarc smiled taking his twins. "Did you like watching daddy duel?"
Dawn immediately started clapping happily as Ace blinked before copying her and giggling.
"Excuse me, Mr. Takuma?"
"Huh?" Zarc looked over while holding his twins.
It was a man in what looked like a red magician's outfit who looked to be around the same age as Leo Akaba, or maybe a little younger. "My name's Yusho Sakaki, I used to be an ok duelist myself and I just wanted to say that duel of yours was inspirational... I've never seen anyone express the joy of dueling so much... I, well actually it's kind of embarrassing to say out loud, but I always wanted to duel in a way that made people happy and smile, to have a great time... you inspired me to pick up my old cards again... if it isn't too much trouble, could we maybe keep in touch?"
"Oh." Zarc spoke before he smiled over to him. "Well of course, I don't see why we can't."
"Thank you." Yusho smiled warmly. "I hope I can give people the same enjoyment you did."
"I think you will sir. You could be a dueling magician on the field." Ray suggested over to him smiling.
"A dueling Magician, that would fit... I'll keep it in mind... maybe you'll get to see me duel one day." Yusho smiled politely with a bow. "Well, thank you again."
With a small wave he walked off. They waved back smiling before walking together to a small fast-food chain restaurant that Mr. Akaba took them to celebrate the duel that Zarc had. Ray had packed a bag of diapers, baby powder, and bottles filled with breastmilk to give Ace, and Dawn while they enjoy themselves here.
"That was a fantastic duel Zarc." Leo Akaba smiled.
"Thanks Mr. Akaba... I can't believe we managed to beat the Dragon Master." Zarc admitted that Drake had a reputation as a strong dragon duelist.
"He was strong, but it looked like you had a stronger bond with your dragons." Leo Akaba told him gently.
Zarc smiled before looking to Ray who is feeding the twins are tried which he softly takes there son in his arms to lighten the workload for her. He blinked and looked up at Zarc as he started to giggle happily. Zarc chuckled taking the bottle from a smiling Ray's hand, and softly starts feeding Ace. Ace looked happy but also a bit sad. His sister reached over for her brother that Ray moved gently where Dawn softly patted on Ace's arm. Feeling Dawn's touch Ace looked a lot happier as he ate his bottle.
"He seems to really love to be around his sister." Mr. Akaba was smiling watching over his grandchildren bonding so well together.
"Maybe it's a twin thing?" Zarc guessed. "I wouldn't know since I'm an only child."
"Me too." Ray admitted shrugging over. "But it just means they'll grow up really close together right?"
"Definitely." Zarc smiled warmly.
And over the months and first year it was clear that the two twins were extremely close to each other... though it was also obvious just how much Dawn was a daddy's girl too. And Zarc kept dueling to showcase his skill with the dragons, and from Yusho given advice from him, and Ray grown close to them alongside Leo Akaba who given Yusho a special card to keep for there friendship, and eventually came a special birthday for the two twins.
"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Dawn and Ace. Happy birthday to you." Zarc, Ray, Leo Akaba, and Yusho sang together in the Akaba kitchen one day where Zarc placed a cake shaped as a dragon on the table with the twins on high chairs together.
Their eyes practically lit up and they were reaching for the cake eagerly.
"Blow." Ray carefully takes the candles doing some blowing things before moving it in front of them to try blowing the candles out.
Dawn blinked trying to blow out the candles but was having trouble as Ace blinked and tried to copy her. Ray sneakily blew them out which made the adults in the room but her clapped to the twins before Zarc cut two appropriate sized pieces for them. Getting the cake it took only a few seconds for the babies to bury their faces and hands in the cake, making a huge mess as they ate it. The adults all chuckled from this not really blaming them for that.
"Yeah that's what I think of babies to do when they get a piece of cake." Yusho admitted chuckling.
"Well as long as they're enjoying it, we can clean them up afterward." Leo Akaba chuckled.
"Already just a year old. I am so proud of them." Ray smiled to the two.
"They're lucky to have such amazing parents." Yusho smiled warmly.
"With such an amazing mother." Zarc hugs Ray close to her smiling.
Ray smiled embracing him gently.
"And a wonderful father." she told him.
During the party Yusho treated the twins to magic tricks over, and given some nice gifts from everyone. Then Zarc pulled them outside.
"Alright then kids, here are some friends who want to say Happy Birthday." Zarc takes out five cards placing them on his Duel Disk. "Alright come on out guys!"
As he did his five dragons all appeared and made sure to be gentle as they lowered down for the babies to pet them if they wanted and to not be too scary. The babies all stared over in awe as they lowered down to allow them to bite but a little nervous. Ray smiled to her twins gently walking over. "Come on you two... don't be shy, there friends."
Dawn slowly reached for Clear Wing and pet the dragon as her eyes widened before giving the Synchro dragon a hug while Ace did the same for Forgotten Soul. Both dragons growled affectionately that they can hear, and feel against there little bodies. The babies giggled happily at that only for the growls to sound feminine causing Ray to blink in confusion before just smiling.
"Be gentle you two." she told her kids.
Zarc chuckled before a push made him turn over seeing Odd-Eyes, Starving Venom, and Dark Rebellion are waiting which he cleared his throat turning to them. "Okay Dawn, Ace come meet the other three."
"Dawn? What's the matter?" Seeing his daughter cry made Zarc's heart ache worried something is happening to her.
She kept reaching for one of the dragons before turning to try and pet another one... as it became clear she was upset she couldn't hug all five of them at the same time.
"They will still get pet or hugged Dawn. Maybe when your older, you can hold there cards." Zarc smiled kissing his daughter's head.
She pouted a but only to gasp as Starving Venom wrapped a vine around her. "Huh?" Leo Akaba turned over to the Fusion Dragon. The dragon used another vine to pick up Ace before using two more to try and wrap around the other four dragons in a slightly awkward group hug.
"Wow, looks like even Starving Venom has a soft spot for children." Zarc chuckled over seeing this.
"Weren't you the one who told us Starving Venom is just a big softy?" Ray smiled teasing the Fusion Dragon a bit. "You're all tough and strong with the highest attack points but you're just a big old teddy bear."
Starving Venom gave over an annoyed growl at the two couple as if warning to not provoke him further.
"Oh, don't get tough with me mister." Ray laughed before smiling. "No, but you're an amazing uncle for the babies... your family. You all are."
Forgotten Soul growled over bumping her head against Starving Venom's who glared over to her while Odd-Eyes smacked his tail as if to pat Starving Venom's shoulder like a human growling over. Zarc and Ray just rolled their eyes while laughing at the dragons antics.
Over the next two years things kept getting better and better for the family as Zarc's dueling talents led to him being one of the most famous duelists of all and Ray herself was a talented duelist.
Of course that was all going to change on one fateful day...
"Okay let us cheer daddy on okay you two?" Ray was readying a small bag as she turned to her kids who grown a bit where Dawn is a little taller then Ace, and was wearing a white blouse, and shorts while Ace is wearing a blue simple shirt, and black shorts just readying over for a day of seeing there father duel again.
"Ok, I love watching daddy." Dawn giggled happily.
Ace smiled a bit hearing that. "Yeah, dad's a really cool duelist and it makes me happy."
"Maybe as soon as we're done, we can all have Ice Cream." Ray smiled as she takes her twins with her as they can walk by themselves.
"Ok, I like chocolate." Dawn smiled.
"Oh... me too, chocolate is yummy." Ace admitted.
"I see you three are ready." they looked as they exit the house that Mr. Akaba with a few wrinkles of old age had arrived to join them to heading to the stadium.
"Yeah, we are dad... Zarc went ahead." Ray smiled gently.
"Grandpa!" the twins ran off excited as he knelled down hugging his grandchildren.
"Ah Dawn, Ace... you two are a little bigger then I last saw you two." Leo Akaba had been very busy as of late so haven't seen them in a few weeks.
"I missed you grandpa." Dawn pouted. "You promised we could play!"
"I know, I know, Grandpa was just very busy with work so that he can make dueling amazing with Solid Vision." Leo Akaba assures her with a smile over. "I'm sorry for it, as soon as your father's duel is done, we can play whatever you want."
"Ok, promise?" Dawn asked as Leo Akaba smiled.
"I promise." he answered giving her a hug. "Now let's go and cheer for your daddy."
"Yes, let's do it." Ray smiled to them. "We're gonna be late."
Leo Akaba nodded as the four of them went to watch Zarc's duel. They arrived in the stadium all together where Nico Smiley was about finished announcing. "-see how Zarc Takuma deals with the Pyro wonder!"
"Let's have a fun match." Zarc smiled to his opponent.
The opponent a blonde haired teenager grinned over readying over against him. Zarc readied himself as the two of them battle back and forth and either due to bad luck with his cards or just his opponent being luckier Zarc was having some trouble in the duel... though he soon managed to turn things around by playing his Odd-Eyes Dragon and powering it up.
"Alright, now Odd-Eyes attack Ignition Beast Vulcannon!" Zarc called.
Odd-Eyes charged in moving as Ignition Beast Vulcannon charged in to attack over at close distance which Odd-Eyes smacked off with his tail over... to the opponent who widen his eyes too late as it crashed into him which when the smoke, and arena cleared revealed he's holding his shoulder painfully. Everyone looked shocked as Zarc's opponent... was bleeding from the attack.
Zarc himself stared in disbelief as he hadn't ever intended to hurt someone and he was about to run and help before... someone started to clap and cheer?
"Eh... huh?" Zarc blinked turning over which he sees everyone in the audience previously in shock was cheering for the violence despite Zarc's opponent is injured from the attack. The only ones not cheering was Ray, there kids, and Mr. Akaba who looked around shocked at seeing the civilians cheering for someone being injured.
"Wh... what are you doing, he's hurt? Someone cancel the duel!" Zarc argued.
"Cancel it, this is the greatest duel ever, it's way more intense than anything we've seen before!" someone cheered.
"This kind of dueling brings even more excitement and drama, I'd love to see more!" another audience member agreed as they cheered louder and louder.
"This... they like duels like this?" Zarc asked looking around as he started to smile seeing how excited everyone was. "You liked this kind of dueling?"
"Mommy, why are they cheering? Isn't he hurt?" Dawn looks worried hugging Ray.
"I... I don't know." Ray admitted seeing that as she saw Zarc seemed to be getting caught up in the cheers.
"Then I'll give you the dueling you all want!" he cried.
Everyone cheered over clapping, and celebrating over on this while Ray, and Leo Akaba were staring in horror from this happening. Dawn, and Ace don't entirely understand what is going on but they can tell this is something bad, and can see both there mother, and Grandfather looked horrified about Zarc absorbing the cheers despite the injury he had made unintentionally.
"Is... dad going to help him?" Dawn asked looking at his opponent who was still in pain.
They only watched as Zarc waved to the crowd with a grin over.
Ray, and Leo Akaba still celebrated over figuring this be a one time thing but was proven quickly there were wrong as the next duel featured over Zarc being more expressive to please the crowd's thirst for violence as he had done some matches that focus on injuring his opponents, and overtime his duel style have shifted to a more brutal, and violent style desiring to be the best, and defeated all duelists in his wake over which also scared some duelists not wanting to cross with him but even there not safe from Zarc's rage.
"Zarc, you need to stop this." Ray frowned. "You're hurting people... this isn't like you."
"It is what the crowd wanted Ray... and to have them have smiles like they wanted, I will give them what they want... brutal duels like no other." Zarc stated over checking his deck but in a tone that is different from what she normally hears from him where he sounds cold.
"Zarc! Are you listening to yourself you're talking about hurting people, that's not right!" Ray argued. "You're terrifying our kids. Don't you care about being a good role model for them?"
"Of course, I do... if they can't see the crowd wants it, then that's there own fault." Zarc takes his Deck walking out. "I'm going out, I need to focus."
Ray looks stunned before...
SLAP!
Zarc froze from this raising a hand to his cheek turning to Ray.
"What's gotten into you? Zarc you've changed... please, during your next duel... don't let your opponent get hurt, for me and our kids... please." Ray asked him with tears. "For us?"
He stared before he glared over making passed her, and bumped his shoulder into her's roughly as if saying he doesn't intend too. Ray felt her heart breaking at that.
The next day Zarc was dueling several opponents, defeating each one in more brutal and violent ways before eventually he was standing over a crowd of injured and defeated challengers.
It had meant that no-one was left to challenge him as he spread his arms with a smirk over to the crowd who cheered all over before he yelled. "Give me more! More weaklings to crush!"
The crowd all cheered, eager to see Zarc duel even more violently... though his family looked really scared and upset as Leo Akaba looked horrified at the monster he had inadvertently created. Zarc looked around not seeing anyone stepping up while the defeated challengers laid broken before him. This made him realize... anyone of the crowd can be his challengers, so with a smirk as activated his Duel Disk. "Then let's see where I can find anyone else!" He placed them before ordering over. "Find some weaklings!" The five dragons appearing before charging in to attack the crowd.
The cheers immediately turned into screams of terror as people tried to run from the five dragons who were attacking ruthlessly.
Seeing that Leo Akaba took Ray's hand as they tried to escape the arena while Dawn grabbed Ace's hand and took Ray's so they could stay together.
"Wait Daddy!" Ace called reaching for Zarc while he's dragged away.
"Acey we need to go, it isn't safe." Dawn told him as Ace turned to Dawn with tears but nodded squeezing her hand tightly as if making sure she wouldn't lose him.
So they all ran off while the dragons are attacking all over to get away to a safe area.
"Why is daddy doing this?" Ace asked fearfully. "He was so nice before. Did he bump his head and forget how to be nice?"
"Don't worry Ace... I don't know how but we will help daddy be back to normal." Ray said with a frown assuring her son.
He looked worried but nodded as they heard screams of people being attacked by the dragons.
Leo Akaba worried over... what had he done? He had created Solid Vision to bring duelists together even more, and while that certainly did succeeded, it had given birth to a darker side of humanity in physical form, the people's lust for violence, and destruction. And it's vanguard is Zarc, and his dragons... in his attempt to bring people together, he had created a monster... so how can he stop this monster?
Suddenly he felt a small breeze which he blinked turning over. "This wind..." He looked seeing birds are flying over the earth despite the danger alongside the moon shining bright alongside the sun at sunset. He also notices flowers blooming together, and the wind is blowing peacefully looking around.
"Dad?" Ray asked seeing his expression.
Leo Akaba stared over looking in the sight, and sounds before he made a determined look. "There is a way to stop Zarc..."
"We can help daddy?" Dawn asked hearing that. "How?"
"We need to harness the power of nature." Leo Akaba turned to his daughter, and Grandchildren. "It won't be easy but we can do it."
They looked a bit confused but nodded that they'd do their best to try and help him. So they went around the world, and the ruins of Glen City to try studying and tapping into the forces of nature. Eventually after a long time, Leo Akaba build a device, and when lifted sees 5 different spell cards that can be used to contain the power of the forces of nature to stop Zarc.
"What are those grandpa?" Dawn asked seeing the cards.
"These... are the Natural Energy cards." Leo Akaba turned over to the three. "They are the spells capable of stopping Zarc, the energies of the birds, the flowers, the winds, the moon, and the sun... now this be a perfect chance... to tell you all goodbye."
"Goodbye, what do you mean dad?" Ray asked hearing that.
"These five cards possess the power of all forces of nature. It is too much energy for one to take... to serve my penance for creating this monster, and endangering everyone, I will destroy Zarc with this power, at the cost of my life." Leo Akaba turned over reaching to take the cards so he can use them to stop Zarc, and have himself killed in the process.
"Dad you can't!" Ray cried in shock.
"I have no choice Ray, this is my fault... it was my creation that turned Zarc into that... demon! So I'll put an end to this no matter the cost." Leo Akaba told her. "And when I'm gone... take Dawn, and Ace, and rebuild what's left."
He was about to take them when a hand took the cards, and started running. Looking over taken aback it took him a few seconds to realize that Ray had taken them herself running off.
"Ray, what are you doing!?" Leo Akaba cried in shock running after her as Dawn and Ace looked shocked and tried to follow their grandfather.
They all run with Leo Akaba chasing after Ray who is running in the direction of Zarc who had became a giant, and powerful black and green dragon. Sensing that her father is behind her she stopped turning over that he stopped with his grandchildren. "Dad, I'm going to stop Zarc not you! It's my fault, I wasn't able to have him stop, so it's right I as his wife should carry the burden of stopping his rampage!"
"Ray think about what you're doing, think of your kids." Leo Akaba tried to argue with her.
"I am along with you dad... which is exactly why I won't lose either of you!" Ray called activating a card that fired bolts of lightning at debris to block there way.
Leo Akaba cried out bracing himself but Dawn managed to slip through the debris. "Mom you can't!"
Seeing her daughter Ray frowned as she turned to see a massive shadowy dragon attacking the city. Ace managed to slip through himself with tears. "Mommy, no!"
Seeing that she frowned. "Come on, we need to stop daddy before he hurts anybody else."
Ace and Dawn both nodded as they ran with her to try and get Zarc's attention.
"Zarc!"
Hearing it the large dragon turned over where Ray, Ace, and Dawn arrived at the ledge which he stared over. "Well well... Ray, Ace, Dawn... what are you three doing here in my presence?"
Knowing she couldn't reveal the cards to him Ray frowned. "We're giving you what you asked for Zarc... a new opponent."
She activated her Duel Disk. They could practically FEEL Zarc's smirk down on them. "Very well then Ray, you will be next!"
Dawn took a breath activating her Duel Disc as Dawn and Ace shivered but moved, activating the ones that Leo Akaba had given them for their birthday earlier that year... so they could spend time with their own cards.
So a long duel happened where Zarc fought with strong monsters attacking over which Ray fought back with her Natural Deck alongside Dawn using her Burning Abyss cards to form some defense, and Ace tries using his Deck of Felgrand Dragon to gain an advantage. Eventually when all is used Ray drew the final of the cards she needs, and with the conditions satisfied she activated them. "En Flowers, En Winds, En Birds, En Moon, En Sun! Activate!" She activated the five spell cards appearing on her field as they all generated power all around the area with them.
"Dawn, Ace..." Ray turned to her kids with tears. "Are you two... REALLY sure about this? You two still have so much to do in life, that if you do this, you won't get to experience it."
"I don't want to do it without you and daddy." Dawn told her mommy.
"I... I agree." Ace shivered.
Ray stared with tears before she pulled them close raising her arm. "I activate the effect of En Flowers!" The cards glowed as around the three things started appearing while Leo Akaba himself ran colliding a barrier seeing he arrived too late.
He could only watch as Zarc was crying out in agony and five bracelets appeared on Ray's arm as the barrier began to glow even brighter. Just then the large dragon of Zarc started shaking as the five dragons that made it appeared twice threatening to spilt before Ray, and there kids can see a blackened form of him with glowing yellow eyes glaring over. "Stop it! Stop it now! Or you will suffer the consequences!"
"Zarc, this is the only way to help you." Ray told him softly as with another flash the five dragons were forcibly split apart in a blinding flash and explosion of energy.
At the same time the three glowed into multi colored versions of themselves following each dragon while Leo Akaba grunted over before screaming loud when the explosion pushed him off the ledge falling down. So from that time, the world as they know it was gone... split apart due to the actions, and power that happened that day. Now the story changes over where five different versions of the family that had started, and fallen apart had taken place.
Years later...
It is a calm, and quiet day at Paradise City where in front of You Show Duel School two children stepped in front of it's doors. One of them, a pink haired girl took a breath before smiling. "This is it, the You Show school."
"It looks even more amazing then I thought..." the boy beside her spoken up having lighter pink hair.
These two Stacy, and Mike a couple of siblings having desired to be Dueltainers like there idol Yusho Sakaki, and decide to start there trek at You Show Duel School here after taking a lot of thought to decide if there ready. Now they stand in front of the school to be ready. But there suddenly overcame with anxitey.
Well at least for Mike...
"Uh sis... I... don't think I'm ready." he admitted looking nervous.
"Of course you are Mike." Stacy smiled taking his hand. "You're an amazing duelist and you'll be a great Dueltainer, I know it."
Hearing that Mike blushed a bit as he held his sister's hand before nodding as Stacy turned to ring the doorbell, before the door opened and a man in an orange tracksuit with a flame design noticed them.
"Oh... hey there little kids." the man greeted to them. "What are you here for?"
"Hi." Stacy smiled warmly. "I'm Stacy, and this is my twin brother Mike."
Mike blushed a bit but nodded with a small wave.
"We were hoping to enroll as students here at the You Show Duel School." she explained.
"Oh really?" the man smiled grinning over. "Well come in, and let's get the sign up forms ready!"
"Ok, thanks." Stacy smiled taking Mike's hand as he blushed a bit more while they followed the man into the building.
They arrived walking in before the man turned to a door. "Zuzu, Yuya! Come in here for a sec please!"
"Ok dad, be right there!" called a female voice.
"Are those two more students?" Mike asked a bit nervously.
"Yes. They will be watching you two while I get the sign up forms. Zuzu is my daughter but Yuya is Yusho's son!"
"Yusho Sakaki's son?" Stacy asked in awe. "Oh wow, that's amazing! He's our idol!"
"Well here they come!" the man grinned seeing the door opening.
As he said that a pink-haired girl wearing a fancy looking bracelet and a boy with red and green hair with a pair of goggles and a pendant around his neck walked out.
"Um... are you really Yusho Sakaki's son?" Mike asked the boy nervously.
"Yeah, that's me. Dad will be back soon." the boy, Yuya, answered with a grin over. "Who are you two?"
"My name's Stacy, and this is my twin brother Mike." Stacy smiled waving.
"We're... we're huge fans of your dad, he's amazing... and actually really inspired us both to be Dueltainers too, he's our hero." Mike added with a smile. "I want to be just like him... well, almost like him."
"You two mind keeping an eye on them while I get the sign up forms?" the man asked the two which they nodded before he turned running over. "I'll be right back!" He certainly looks eager for some new students.
"He looks happy." Stacy smiled before pausing. "Oh, what kind of dueltainers are you?"
"I'm one who makes a musical show to the stage." Zuzu answered smiling over.
"I will be the Dueltainer just like Dad with the Magicians, and my dragon!" Yuya smiled himself spreading his arms.
Stacy's eyes widened as she looked at Mike who blushed more when she did before shaking his head.
"You're like us then... but backwards." he smiled. "Introducing, the youngest and most spectacular Dracoformer ever, Stacy!"
"Dracoformer?" both Zuzu, and Yuya asked confused looking over towards Stacy.
"Yeah, I use dragons in my deck, like this one." she smiled handing Yuya a card that he saw was Master Peace, the True Dracoslayer.

"Oh don't be modest." Stacy smiled to her twin brother. "Your singing always makes everybody smile, I love when you sing."
"Oh you sing?" Zuzu asked him.
Mike blushed a bit more. "I... yes, I do."
"And you don't go to Opera Duel School?" Zuzu remembers that school specializes in signers, and was kinda surprised that a singing hopeful like Mike prefers here then that.
"Well... I thought about it, but I wanted to go to You Show with Stacy... we've always been together." Mike admitted before blushing a bit. "Should... should I sing now?"
"Sure, maybe Zuzu's monsters can give you a demo how to do it well?" Yuya asked with a grin.
Zuzu blinked over before shrugging. "Well they got good voices so I don't see why not." She turned to him. "What you think?"
Mike pouted a bit. "I... I know how to sing."
He took a slow breath and closed his eyes.
(Insert romantic song lyrics here)
The three listened, and while they do there in awe from Mike's vocal performance. When the man walked back in with sign up forms he paused hearing the signing checking, and widen his eyes. Alongside a SPECIAL guest that just happened to walk in watching with a smile as he stared over at the young boy signing.
As he finished Mike did a small bow.
"See, Mike's an amazing singer and he's going to be an even more amazing musical Dueltainer." Stacy praised causing her brother to blush again.
"He does have the voice to prove so." said a voice behind the two.
Hearing the voice they turned to see a man in a red magician's outfit and a top hat as their eyes widened.
"You... you're... oh my god Mike it's really him!" Stacy started fangirling a bit.
"I know." Mike agreed in awe. "Mr. Sakaki... you're incredible!"
"If my hunch is correct, I am to assume you two are to be the newest additions of You Show Duel School?" Yusho asked calmly with a smile.
"Yes, that's right." Stacy nodded with a smile. "It's an honor to meet you, it's a dream come true actually."
"You've been our idol for longer than we can remember Mr. Sakaki." Mike agreed. "We want to be great Dueltainers like you."
Yusho chuckled patting both of there heads one at a time. "Then I be proud to have you two along with me for the ride." He then turned over to Skip. "That's what those sign up forms are for right Skip?"
"Huh? Oh right!" the man, Skip, suddenly remembered before walking handing both forms to the two siblings.
Looking at the form Mike suddenly frowned. "Oh... you, you need a parents signature?"
"We... don't have any." Stacy admitted looking down. "Mike and I don't have parents."
"You... don't?" Yuya asked shocked. "What happened to them?"
"They... died when we were a lot younger, we're been on our own but we've been ok... Mr. Sakaki always inspired us and cheered us up." Stacy smiled.
After a few seconds Yusho softly takes the forms signing the parents signature for them before then handing them back to handle the rest. "Here you two are."
"Mr. Sakaki?" Mike asked shocked that he did that. "Did you... thank you..."
"That... that's..." Stacy started as the two of them started to tear up before they just hugged him close.
He hugged them smiling. "You two are more then welcome to stay with me, my son, and wife if you want."
"You... you mean it?" Mike choked out.
"But of course." the smile on him looked genuine for them to understand.
Hearing that they both hugged him even tighter.
Zuzu smiled at that. "Uncle Yusho is such a great person, you be good to your little brother and sister ok Yuya?"
"Of course I will, I'll make sure they're as happy as they possibly can be." Yuya smiled before blinking. "Wait, shouldn't dad and I talk to mom first? I mean, I'm sure she'll say they can stay but... we should let her know right?"
"Let's surprise her Yuya." Yusho smiled with a wink.
Hearing that Yuya grinned and smiled. "Sure, that sounds good."
Stacy and Mike had tearful smiles before pausing as they looked and continued filling out the enrollment forms for You Show.
"I look forward to see you two in a duel." Zuzu said smiling to them.
The two of them smiled warmly at that.
Later that day the two of them were walking back to the Sakaki house with Yusho and Yuya.
Yusho opened the door calling out. "Yoko! We're back, and we have some people for you to meet!"
"Hm, people to meet? I'm in the kitchen." a female voice called. "Just feeding her."
They walked in where they see a blonde woman feeding a cat.
"There you go Core." she smiled gently petting the cat only to look over. "Oh, who are you two?"
"These two are Stacy, and Mike. New students at You Show... and now new adopted children." Yusho answered over smiling.
"Well, not yet they're not." Yoko told him before kneeling down to Stacy and Mike. "But first thing in the morning we can make that official if you want."
They stared before they went hugging her with tears. She smiled hugging them back. "Tomorrow, you'll be part of our family officially, I'm glad to have two wonderful new children."
"Thank you." they both said with tears feeling happy to be a part of Yusho's family.
Meanwhile...
"Here." a black haired boy handed a small box of bird feed to a black haired girl in a park at a future like city.
"Thanks Caleb." the girl smiled pouring some of the feed into her hand as she knelt down and gently held it out. "Lunch time."
At her call a few small birds flew over to her and began eating from her hand.
"Do you think they'd like my fresh bread too?" Caleb asked opening a backpack with an air-tight bag inside of it.
"Yes, I'm sure they'll love whatever you bake." the girl answered turning to Caleb.
Nodding he opened the bag and broke off a piece of bread before tearing pieces and throwing it down for the birds to eat as other animals started to approach from the smell.
"Don't crowd everyone, there's plenty for everyone." the girl told the animals.
A baby deer approached and gently nuzzled her shoulder. The girl chuckled rubbing it's head before suddenly the animals grew alarmed turning which confused the two kids before they turned over.
"I thought I heard them over this way you two." a female voice called.
"Slow down Lulu, we're coming." a male voice mentioned though it sounded like he was being dragged.
They see three teenagers coming over towards them.
One is a girl having long black hair.
Another is a boy the same age as her with black hair, and a purple bang.
And the last is an older boy with short black hair, and a somewhat annoyed expression on his face.
Seeing them the two kids blinked.
"Oh, hi!" the girl smiled waving as they saw she was feeling some animals. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Terri and this is my twin brother Caleb, we were just feeling some of the cute animals."
"Oh hi." the purple banged boy waved over. "I'm Yuto..." He then turned over. "This is Lulu Obsidian, and her brother Shay."
"It's nice to meet you." Caleb smiled as he noticed a small bird. "Oh, don't worry little guy, you can have some."
He broke off a small bit of bread and gently put it down for the small bird. "Terri and I really like feeding the animals."
"Where are your parents?" Lulu asked.
Caleb paused and looked down at that.
"We... we don't have parents, we're orphans." Terri admitted.
Lulu gasped placing her hands on her mouth. "I'm... I'm so sorry."
"It's ok." Caleb admitted. "You didn't know and... we're ok."
"We stay together." Terri explained as she smiled petting the baby dear. "And we have all of our animal friends."
They stared over before Lulu turns over towards Shay. Shay seeing his sister's look raised an eyebrow before realizing what she's thinking. "Lulu, no, no no."
"Huh, no what?" Caleb asked him turning to Lulu. "What does he mean?"
Lulu kept giving him the look as Shay kept denying over before eventually he then sighed exhausted. "Fine yes." Lulu smiled before she turned to the two.
"You two want to be a part of a family?" she offered them smiling.
Hearing that they both gasped.
"You… do you mean it?" Terri asked.
"Of course." Lulu smiled to them. "You shouldn't be by yourselves."
"Lulu's always so kind." Yuto smiled before he turned to the two. "Yes, she doesn't kid involving something like this."
"That… thank you so much." Caleb whispered. "I promise we won't be a burden… I know how to bake actually."
"We can probably bake some pies." Lulu smiled over.
"Ok, that sounds nice." Caleb smiled only to blush a bit. "Um… do you like blueberry pie?"
"Love it." Lulu smiled with closed eyes.
"Yeah, it's my favorite." Terri added. "Caleb makes it for me a lot."
"Need to go to store again." Shay sighed to himself before pulling out his phone to make a list.
"Do you need help big brother?" Caleb asked him.
"Tell me of what you use."
He nodded telling Shay the ingredients but specifically left out the blueberries in the blueberry pie.
"Why is he leaving Blueberries out?" Lulu asked Terri confused.
"Caleb only gets the ripest and freshest blueberries when he makes the pie... it makes it so delicious." she smiled as Caleb blushed a bit rubbing the back of his head.
"I... like using fresh fruit, it makes the pies taste better and I don't mind picking them myself." he admitted. "Even if a few end up in the animal's bellies instead of the pie."
"You use... wild grown blueberries?" Yuto asked hearing that with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah... I know how to tell if they're safe." Caleb answered walking over as he picked one. "This one should be safe and really juicy too, it's a great one."
He offered it to Lulu.
"Here you go big sis."
Lulu takes it before trying it over. Then she gained a sweetened look. "Oh wow, so sweet!"
"I know right, Caleb always finds the best berries ever." Terri smiled warmly.
"How do you?" Shay asked with a raised eyebrow.
Caleb flinched a bit as Terri took his hand.
"It took a long time, and Caleb got sick a few times but he learned to look for the spots on the berries to make sure they're safe and the animals helped him learn the difference." she explained.
"Well let's start picking some berries." Yuto suggested walking to try helping them pick.
After picking the berries, they head to the store where Caleb, and Lulu went to work finding the ingredients, and got started on the pie when they arrived at home fixing the pie crust, and doing the steps from how Caleb does it while Lulu suggests or advises over to better the pie before placing it in the oven.
"Ok, thank you." Caleb smiled warmly.
"How do I let you talk me into this kind of thing Lulu?" Shay rolled his eyes despite smiling softly.
About 45 minutes Lulu pulled out the pie, and let it cool before removing the pan leaving just the pie as she cuts pieces for all of them.
"It smells amazing." Terri sighed taking a bite. "Oh wow... it's better than ever!"
Caleb blushed at the praise. "Do... do you all like it?"
"Yeah, this is definitely great pie." Yuto smiled taking a bite.
"I followed it like how Caleb does, and added how I do it." Lulu explained smiling.
"It's definitely good." Shay agreed.
"I'm glad you all like the pie." he smiled.
"Caleb doesn't think he's good at baking but he's a master." Terri added with a smile.
Caleb blushed a bit. "Well... there's still a lot I don't know."
"I be more then happy to show you." Lulu smiled to him.
"Really, thanks." Caleb smiled gently.
Shay rolled his eyes but couldn't help smile.
Meanwhile...
"Okay stay close."
At a ruined location were two kids of green hair having came from a top cleaner area. They had escaped after someone with a gun came in, and shot there father dead where they left after the robber told them to go. Now the brother has his sister's wrist in his hand to make sure she stays close to her.
"I... I'm scared." the girl shivered fearfully as the boy was frowning and trembling as he looked around.
"We're going to be ok somehow... I promise, I won't let anything happen to you." he whispered.
He gently squeezes her wrist smiling which she slowly smiled back before they started hearing what sounded like some motorcycle humming. She yelped dropping down as he yelled out collapsing on the ground as the motorcycle stopped in front of them.
"Oh man... hey you two okay?" the driver asked nervous as he gets off to check on them.
The boy moved to protect the girl. "If you want to hurt me fine... but don't hurt Alex."
"Hurt you? Why would I do that?"
"No." they see the rider is wearing a white turbo suit, and helmet nothing like Sector Security.
"I'm Yugo." he introduced himself. "You two need a place to stay?"
"You... are you sure?" the boy asked him.
"Yeah." Yugo nodded offering them a seat on his Duel Runner.
"Ev... even though we're Tops?" the girl asked nervously. "You're... not going to hurt us?"
"No, I don't care if your Tops." Yugo answered.
Hearing that they hesitantly nodded and got on the Duel Runner with the girl holding onto Yugo while the boy was behind her making sure she was safe. Once Yugo started the Duel Runner he sped off driving away. The two kids held on tightly as the three of them raced through the streets of the city.
"So..." Yugo starts to try making a conversation. "Can I get your names?"
"I... I'm Steve, and my sister is Alex." the boy answered as the girl nervously nodded though Yugo could tell she seemed unusually scared.
"Okay well good to have you two. I think Rin would already work to help you two out." Yugo smiled to them.
"Rin?" Alex asked nervously only to them to hear a loud bang as she gasped and started to cling to Yugo tighter.
"Yeah she's real nice, you two will like her." Yugo said speeding faster to get out of what it was caused by that bang.
"You... why are you being so nice?" Steve asked Yugo.
"Should I not?" Yugo asked curiously.
"We're Tops... don't you want money?" Steve frowned as he took Alex's hand. "That's what you want right?"
"Nah, money isn't an issue here. We got all we need all around." Yugo said before then adding. "Like this Duel Runner." He pat the motorbike that there riding. "This girl here was made by hand from me, and Rin."
"You... you made it?" Alex asked. "It... looks really cool."
"Ah thank you. Oh, we're here." Yugo stopped next to a old house before he called. "Rinrin, I'm home! With some company!"
As he said that the door opened and a green haired girl with orange eyes walked out only to blink. "Yugo! What are you thinking?"
"What? These two are by themselves, and left the Tops." Yugo asked confused.
Rin looked at him before walking over. "Is Yugo telling the truth, why would you two run away from the Tops?"
"Well... we're orphans now... we ran after our... father was killed during a mugging." Steve explained holding Alex's hand.
Yugo's eyes widened in shock hearing that as Rin tightly embraced them both.
"I... I had no idea, I'm so sorry." Yugo whispered.
"That must have been... so scary, but it's ok now... do you two want anything to eat?" Rin asked. "You're welcome to stay for as long as you want."
"Are you sure...?" Alex looked over a bit scared.
"Of course we are, it might not be what you're used to but... we're more than willing to help you out as much as we can." Yugo grinned. "Don't worry about a thing."
Alex moved hugging Rin close to her with tears. Rin hugged her back gently.
"Come on, let's get inside... I think you two need a roof over your heads right now." she whispered gently.
They walked inside the house together where the younger kids smell something good just now.
"That... what's that?" Steve asked her.
"Just stew." Rin answered smiling. "Not as fancy or as accessible as what the Tops had but it's what we got."
"It... it smells amazing, did you cook it yourself?" Alex asked.
"Yes." Rin confirmed nodding.
"That... that's amazing." Alex whispered.
"Yeah, before... our parents never cooked themselves." Steve agreed. "And... it never smelled so good either."
"It wasn't good where you lived?"
"No, it's not that..." Steve admitted looking a little embarrassed but has a smile. "Well... it's just that... the rich may eat it... but sometimes they have poor taste."
Alex looked a little embarrassed herself as if confirming that was true.
"Well, you're going to love this." Rin smiled taking out two bowls to give them some of the stew.
Taking a small bite Alex's eyes widened and Steve nodded in agreement as they both clearly loved the stew.
Meanwhile...
A blue-haired girl was looking at a picture book along with a nervous looking blue-haired boy while they were in an orphanage.
"Oh look here!" the girl shows the boy a picture of a bird.
"Oh yes!" Kelly grinned patting his head. "They definitely would be that amazing Chris!
Chris blushed a bit at that as he looked at a camera he was holding. "Then... can I try and take your picture again?"
"Same old?" Kelly gets up already posing.
Chris blushed seeing that as he nodded taking the camera before after a full seconds of getting the right angle he clicked it before showing Kelly a photo of her smiling. Kelly chuckled over before the door to there room opened where they see a orphanage caretaker opened over. "Sorry to interrupt. You two were missing from the other kids that are meeting up with Yuki."
"Oh, Yuki's here?" Kelly asked happily. "Come on Chris!"
He gasped and blushed as she dragged him off.
"Kelly, hold on!" he cried out.
The caretaker only laughed seeing them running off really excited to see Yuki.
When they arrived they see a blue haired boy lifting a younger boy up as he's holding to his arm like he's pumping it up like lifting weights. "Alright, that's number 20 in lifting!"
"You're amazing Yuki." a little boy smiled.
"Yeah, it's super fun when you come play with us." a little girl agreed happily.
"Yuki!" Kelly cried waving. "Hi!"
Yuki turned over seeing Kelly, and Chris which he grinned over. "Ah Kelly, Chris, I been wondering where you two munchkins went off too!"
"I... I was taking pictures, Kelly's helping me with it." Chris blushed a bit.
"I know, but I grow worried." Yuki lets the other boy off his arm grinning. "So then Chris what kinds of pictures you have this time?"
"The... the same as usual." he blushed referring to some blurry pictures of birds and other animals, and a few of Kelly.
Yuki pats his head chuckling before someone else walked beside Chris. "Well not BAD pictures but could use some work."
Chris practically jumped at that as he turned to see who it was. It was a blue haired girl the same age as Yuki in a ponytail with a orange streak in it looking over to him.
"Don't scare me like that." Chris pouted causing Kelly to giggle and him to blush more in embarrassment.
"Sorry about that." the girl smiled over.
"Oh this is Gale! She's a good friend of mine." Yuki explained to them smiling as she waved.
"Nice to meet you Gale." Kelly smiled happily. "I'm Kelly, and this is my twin brother Chris."
Gale nodded to them. "Good to meet you two. Yuki wasn't being too much was he?"
"What's that mean?" Yuki asked with a pout over.
"You know exactly what I mean." Gale told him before sighing. "Did you tell Mr. Muto you'd be here?"
"Of course, I did, I left a note..."
"Well as long as you let them know, you remember he asked you to help out later today right?" she reminded him.
"Oh shoot! Let's play ball kids!" Remembering the time crunch Yuki turned to the kids to get some fun in before he has to leave.
They all cheered happily at that and ran out except for Chris.
"Um... excuse me, Gale?" Chris asked her nervously. "Do you think... you can help with my pictures?"
Gale turned over before she smiled to him. "Oh of course Chris. Do you like taking pictures?"
"Yeah, I love it." Chris admitted smiling. "I love looking at photos, and learning about how to take them... actually, this camera is my favorite thing in the world."
"What about dueling?"
"Oh... well I duel a little bit but Kelly's a lot better than I am." Chris frowned. "I'm not very good at it."
"Well what Deck do you use?" Gale figured that if she can help Yuki be the dueling genius he was, then perhaps she can help Chris as well.
"Oh... well this." Chris admitted handing her his cards.
Gale takes it checking it over.
"What do you think?" he asked nervously.
"Well this is a bit of a... unique way." Gale admitted before looking at him smiling. "But had you tried imagining yourself into it?"
"Huh, what do you mean?" Chris asked her.
"Well for dueling, how me, and Yuki are the duelists we are, we always imagined how the duel would go. And we often imagine ourselves as the monsters we used today, it is kind of hard to picture but it all makes sense when you try it out." Gale gave out what she had told Yuki all those years ago smiling so that she can start. "Always remember, to let your imagination become your strength."
Chris nodded looking. "Can... can you help teach me how?"
"Of course." Gale smiled to him.
He smiled before without thinking he hugged her. "Thank you."
Gale blinked surprised before hugging him back. After a few seconds Kelly ran over. "Hey Chris are you gonna play ball with us!?"
"Oh... yeah I'll be right there!" Chris smiled. "I was just talking with Gale about something."
He then ran out with Kelly to join the others. Gale smiled before she chuckled walking over to see them play ball.
Meanwhile...
"Okay... here we are." a short purple haired girl spoken beside a boy in front of a large door at a military like school where it's leader named the Professor had called for them.
"I know Lilly... I just hope we're not going to be in trouble." the boy admitted.
So after she gave a knock the door opened where they walked inside seeing a purple cloaked man having a metallic device on his head was waiting for them which they get on a knee bowing. "Lilly, William... do you two know why I called for you?"
"No Professor, but whatever it is I'm incredibly sorry." William admitted kneeling.
"No, none of you two are in trouble." he stated over to them closing his eyes.
"I had brought an offer." the Professor turned over. "You two can come in now."
At that who walked in were two boys a brown haired boy shaped like a Kuriboh, and a blue haired boy both smiling over.
Seeing them William and Lilly both gasped.
"You... you're Jaden Yuki, and Jesse Anderson... two of the greatest duelists to ever attend Duel Academy!" Lilly cried in awe seeing them.
"Yup that's us!" the blue haired boy Jesse spoken with a smile waving. "Hey there kids!"
"The Professor offered us something we couldn't help but accept." the brown haired boy Jaden explained with a grin. "A chance to be mentors to you two."
"You... you really mean it?" William asked. "You two... mentoring us? That's... that's incredible!"
"Yeah, being taught by the two of you is... it's an honor." Lilly agreed.
"I had informed them of both of your budding talents, and what kind of bond you share with your cards. I think no one else then these two to pick, but let me warn you two, it really was a long decision to make if this was the right choice. Don't make me regret it." the Professor told both twins where despite a small hint of affection much of it was sterness.
The two of them nodded as they approached Jaden and Jesse.
"We'll listen to whatever you two say." Lilly smiled as William nodded in agreement.
"Glad to hear it, so which one of you two wants to learn from me?" Jaden asked causing them to blink.
"Huh, what do you mean... which one? Aren't you both teaching both of us?" Lilly asked.
"Well we had thought of it but me, and Jay figured it be better separated. Let's us see how far you two are able to showcase your competitive nature." Jesse explained grinning.
"Now the Professor told me your a warrior gal right?" Jaden asked Lilly grinning over. "Well I think you be perfect to be onto the HEROs of old! Perhaps you can be just as great as me, and Aster, or maybe even more!"
Lilly's eyes widened as she nodded. "Of course."
"Now for you.." Jesse looked at William who gulped. "Let's see... you have a strong bond with your cards, and I figure they can live on despite being destroyed..." He gives a lot of thought before then realizing something. "Oh I know! My original Deck can work!" He reaches taking out a Deck. "Before I used the Crystal Beasts, I used this."
William took the deck hesitantly though he was frowning. "These... they're amazing, I hope I can make you proud."
"There's not a doubt in my mind you will." Jesse pat his head grinning, "You probably can do a lot more then I can."
The door opened where they looked seeing a purple haired girl in a ponytail, and a purple haired boy wearing a purple cloak walking in with the boy having a smirk.
"Ah, Yuri. Celina." the Professor noted seeing them.
"You requested our presence Professor?" the girl asked kneeling as the boy only walked up silently and knelt down.
"Of course. Before we get to your task Yuri, I need to inform Celina something important." the Professor stated to the two.
"Of course." Yuri nodded calmly.
"I promise I won't disappoint you Professor." Celina smirked confidently.
"I know you won't Celina. That's why I have an important mission for you." the Professor started that Celina smirked over eager for whatever he has in mind. That was killed however from his next two words; "Stay here."
"Wh... what?" she asked to make sure she heard him correctly. "Professor... what are you saying?"
"Don't get me wrong your skill is not in question. However, I have something important for you to do here in the future. For the moment, you need to stay in this Dimension." the Professor explained over.
"That... can I ask what the task you have for me is?" Celina asked him. "So I know why I'm not going to the front lines?"
"That be later on Celina, just do what your told." the Professor instructed her.
She looked annoyed but frowned as she nodded. "I... understand Professor."
Celina turned and left the room in annoyance.
They watched as she left before the Professor then turned to Yuri. "Now Yuri..."
"Yes Professor?" he asked with a smirk.
"There are several girls that share the same face as Celina. Your task is find them, and bring them to me. Speak with Bastion, and Dr. Eisenstein for more information." the Professor tasked him.
"Of course Professor... I'll handle that for you." Yuri smirked.
"Get to it." the Professor nodded over as Yuri gets up turning before the Professor then asked. "Oh, and Yuri?" The boy turned over towards him where he stated over. "They are NOT to be carded unlike your other capture tasks. They are much more useful as normal."
Yuri's eyes widened slightly. "Live capture, that might be a bit more difficult but I should be able to manage it."
"Good. You may go on." the Professor nodded.
Yuri smirked leaving the room.
"Ok, I have a goal." Lilly decided. "I'm going to master my new deck and get skilled enough to defeat Yuri."
"Well in that case we start practicing right away." Jaden grinned before turning to William. "What about you William?"
"I... I'll do my best with the new cards." William admitted a bit uncertainly as he looked at Lilly. "I'll see you later, right sis?"
Lilly nodded.
"Now Jesse, Jaden..." they looked at the Professor who instructed them. "Don't do anything unnecessary, or that can purposefully harm them. It's on your heads if anything happens to them."
"Don't worry Professor, we'll take good care of the kids." Jesse smiled. "You can trust us."
Jaden nodded as his eyes flashed green and yellow. "Jesse's right."
"Very well. You may go, and start training."
The four of them nodded walking off at that.
The Professor stared off before he sighed turning over where he checks over a photo he had in a frame. It was the photo of Mr. Akaba with Zarc, Ray, and there children the day they were born. "Dawn... Ace... Ray... I will work to bring you three back... and keeping the monster contained."
bopdog111: And that's chapter 1.
Ulrich362: True, and hopefully the next chapter will come soon... originally this was going to be a fair bit longer but we're splitting it up a bit.
bopdog111: No promises on it though as our schedule is random. And Si3075 PLEASE don't contact us so suddenly about updating, we will do it when we're able too, we won't be able too if you ask us hundreds of times.
Ulrich362: This fic, it's enjoyable but as we already wrote Daughter of Zarc and Ray this one is lower on our priority list... but it will be done.
bopdog111: And we made several changes then to the original formula.
Ulrich362: True, so with that... we'll see you in the next chapter... for the events in the Fusion Dimension as it's the oldest summoning mechanic. (Fusion (Gaia the Dragon Champion), then Ritual (Black Luster Soldier), then Synchro (Junk Warrior), then Xyz (Submersible Carrier Aero Shark), and finally Pendulum (Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon))
bopdog111: Well can you all guess what William's got now other then Dream Mirror?
Ulrich362: We'll find out soon.
bopdog111: Be sure to review!
