And we're finally back after what feels like a while! Some people have come and gone from the site as it would appear, but thankfully, there's still reviews coming to help keep this story alive! So now, we're finally getting into the cavalry battle! I have to say, I did need to take my time with this one. Not only to get the teams together, but to also add up point totals for each team based on how they placed in the obstacle race.
"Yo, Justice," a voice greeted as the white-haired hero entered the break room for the pros acting as security. He turned to see a pair of men sitting at a nearby table. One was a burly man with medium brown hair, a square chin, perma-stubble, light brown skin, and brown eyes. He had a thin scar running up his right cheek to the top of his nose. His only attire consisted of a black-and-gray armored spacesuit that covered his entire body. The other was a bespectacled young man with a tuft of black hair resting atop slicked-back brown hair. His only attire consisted of a black-and-gray armored spacesuit that covers his entire body as well.
"Victory, Creed," the white-haired hero addressed as he approached, "No new activity?" he inquired.
"Nothing to report, sir," the bespectacled man replied with a salute.
"They're about to start the second round soon," the burly man noted with a grin, "Gotta say, these first-years are pretty incredible," he complimented, "That kid with the explosions should definitely be a high priority on our list," he insisted.
"Are you sure?" Creed inquired back, "What about the young woman with Valkyrie's Quirk?" he questioned on, "She could prove to be just as strong if not stronger than her as she pledged," he pointed out.
"Nah, no one's ever gonna top Valkyrie..." Victory argued in response. As the two of them discussed, Justice looked up at the rankings on the big screen. The top three finishers were what caught his eyes as they narrowed in thought.
"Um, excuse me?" a voice chimed in, getting his attention as he turned to see Mt. Lady standing there with a notebook in her hands, "Would you please sign this?!" she requested, looking away cutely while blushing. The white-haired hero blinked in surprise.
"Certainly," he replied, signing the notebook with a pen moments later. Giddily, the Mineyama Hero skipped back over to her table as Kamui Woods and Death Arms looked on at her blankly.
"Heh," Victory chuckled, "Guess being Number Three has its perks, even among heroes," he remarked with a grin.
"It's possible that you'll take over Endeavor's spot by the time the next billboard chart announcement approaches," Creed suggested.
"Even if that isn't the case, I'll still press forward," Justice declared to their surprise, "As the Judge of Japan, I shall deal justice to whomever has wronged this country," he vowed firmly.
"Still using that stupid title, huh?" Victory inquired, putting his right hand onto his cheek, "Why not just stick with being the Interstellar Hero like your PR team suggested?" he asked on.
"I... thought that was still used..." Creed said as he adjusted his glasses. At that moment, there was a buzzing noise that caused Justice to perk up. He reached back to grab his phone, quickly hitting the answer icon.
"Justice here," he said, listening for a moment as he had brought it up to his right ear, "Yes, I'll be right there," he assured, ending the call as he put his device away.
"Was that one of the Seis?" Victory guessed, arching an eyebrow.
"Be sure to take note on whoever advances to the tournament round," Justice advised of his two sidekicks, "Hopefully, I'll be back before it starts," he said as he walked off.
"Y-Yes, sir!" Creed stuttered in response.
"Tsk," Victory scoffed, "He's always so laser-focused..." he pointed out, "Makes you wonder if the call was about her..." he mentioned, narrowing his eyes.
"If it is, then I doubt we may see him for the rest of today..." his partner noted while looking down in thought. They then turned their attentions back onto the TV, looking back at the results from the first round.
"Not all these kids are Hero Course guys, right?" Victory guessed, raising an eyebrow again.
"Yeah," Creed answered with a nod, "Some of them show promise..." he added, sounding a bit surprised, "You think one of them might be worth looking into?" he inquired of his partner.
"Who knows..." he muttered in reply, "We'll just have to wait and see..." he decided.
Izuku was totally panicking. Winning the first round was somewhat of a miracle in of itself, especially given the circumstances. He hadn't used his Quirk all that much either, so no one seemed to have any confidence in him. And with ten million points on his head, he was in a really tough position. No one wanted to team up with him...
"Wanna team up with us?" Rebecca's voice asked, getting his attention as he turned to see her and Ochaco there.
"REBECCA! URARAKA!" he cried out as tears burst from his eyes suddenly, showering over them as they flinched in surprised, "Are you sure?!" he inquired, "Even with my ten million stupid points?!" he added in question, while they wiped themselves off.
"Definitely, Izuku!" the Leaper Quirk user responded with a firm nod.
"Yeah, it's better to team up with people you like!" Ochaco agreed with a bright smile. In that moment, Izuku felt his face scrunch up as the two girls were making him feel so appreciated. He was happy to have their help. And now they just needed one more team member.
"Hey, Iida!" the One For All inheritor called out, getting the Engine Quirk user's attention. After a moment, the four of them gathered around.
"In terms of our Quirks, it'd make sense for me, Izuku and Tenya to be horses, right?" Rebecca inquired of her classmates.
"Yeah, definitely," her best friend agreed.
"And as the rider, I could use my Quirk to make myself a little lighter for you guys to carry," Ochaco pointed out.
"Awesome thinking, Ochaco!" Rebecca complimented, "We'd be able to run around without worrying about anyone ever catching us!" she noted happily. It seemed like a great plan. At least... it would've been.
"I'm sorry," Tenya apologized to their surprise. It turned out that he was looking to actually compete against Izuku, not team up. Even though he considered the One For All inheritor a good friend, he didn't want to just lose to him altogether. So in the end, he joined forces with Shoto, Momo, and Denki.
"Oh man..." Rebecca uttered, looking over to see her best friend's expression. He wasn't as stressed as he was before, but definitely appeared to be unsure as what would happen now, especially with his plan being shot down. And there was only so much time left to get a final member for a team.
"Damn..." Weisz cursed out, looking around for some of his classmates, but most of them had already gathered in teams. He was second to last in terms of 1-A students in the obstacle race, so it was easy to tell that no one really wanted to team up with him. At that moment, a hand came onto his shoulder, getting his attention. He turned to see Kris there.
"Let's team up," he insisted of the Machina Maker Ether Gear user.
"Uh... excuse me?" he uttered in confusion, arching an eyebrow, "Why would you wanna team up with me?" he questioned, "Aren't you in Class B or something?" he inquired further.
"That doesn't matter," the teen before him responded, "You can call me Jinn by the way," he told Weisz. He was obviously skeptical, narrowing his eyes.
"Oh, so it's just two of you so far?" Maria chimed in, getting their attentions as they saw her walk over while licking a lollipop, "Mind if I make it three?" she requested in a sultry voice.
"Yeah, totally!" Weisz immediately answered with an excited smile, while Kris merely nodded.
"I'm humbled to be asked to be a part of your team, Granbell..." Fumikage admitted, standing alongside Homura as they had been asked to join the Satan Gravity Quirk user, "but don't you think this seems like an unbalanced group?" he inquired, referring to the fact that Yuga was amongst them, trembling in agony from his stomach.
"Nah, I think we're fine!" Shiki assured with a bright smile, "We're gonna be an unstoppable team!" he vowed as he pumped up his right fist.
"I should not say, but with how weakened Aoyama looks, I think the opposite will occur..." Homura admitted as she covered her mouth with her left hand, sheepishly blushing.
"In any case, did you have a plan?" Fumikage inquired of the Satan Gravity Quirk user.
"Uh, I think so..." he replied, "I wanna have Yuga be our rider while we make sure no one touches the headbands," he told him and the others.
"Wait... why do you want me to ride?" the Navel Laser Quirk user asked, still holding onto his hurting stomach.
"You're still hurt, aren't you?" Shiki inquired back, "I don't wanna put one of my friends through something tough if they're not at a hundred percent..." he pointed out seriously. Yuga's eyes glimmered in astonishment.
"Hm," Homura chuckled, "That's very kind of you," she noted, "In that case, I will gladly be a part of this force," she decided as she walked over.
"As will I," Fumikage concluded.
"Alright!" Shiki exclaimed, raising his fists up excitedly. Elsewhere, other teams were being formed. Whether in groups of four, three, or two, it seemed as if everyone was getting together and deciding on a plan. In the meantime, Izuku was still searching for the final member of his team with Rebecca and Ochaco. And then all of a sudden...
"TEAM UP WITH ME, PERSON IN FIRST PLACE!" the goggled girl with salmon pink hair exclaimed, getting right into his face.
"Ah, so close! Who are you?!" he yelped in surprise. The girl was quick to introduce herself as Mei Hatsume, a Support Course student who had all kinds of gadgets available for her and the others to use potentially during the cavalry battle. Rebecca was amazed by just how much she had. Meanwhile, Ochaco was seemingly dumbfounded as she watched Izuku and Mei talk over about a strategy.
"Okay, so is Mei gonna be our rider?" the Leaper Quirk user asked, "Or are we gonna stick with Ochaco like we planned earlier?" she guessed on. Taking a moment to think while holding onto the jetpack Mei had shown him, Izuku put his hand onto his chin. This was going to be an even bigger obstacle to overcome. But he would do his best alongside his friends.

With all the teams set, the second round was ready to begin. As Izuku tied his headband over his forehead, he looked to his three teammates holding him up. Obviously, they were going to be doing a lot for him. So he'd do his best to make sure they made their way into the next round.
The horn went off, signaling the start of the battle. And almost immediately, everyone went after him and his team. Rebecca grimaced.
'I really wish we had Tenya on our side...' she admitted inwardly.
"Let's go!" Izuku called out.
"Don't think so!" Tetsutetsu yelled. At that moment, Juzo tapped the ground with his foot, causing it to soften into a mud-like substance to the team before them.
"Uh oh!" Ochaco yelped, "I can't... get out!" she grunted, sinking further into the ground with the girls.
"Uraraka! Hatsume!" their team leader yelled, readying a button he had been given, "Watch your faces!" he advised. The two girls holding him up from behind adhered to his warning. He pressed the button, making the jetpack activate and blast them up into the air. At that moment thought, Kyoka attempted to strike as she extended her earlobe cables out to them.
"I got it!" Rebecca exclaimed, activating her Quirk as markings upon her legs glowed, making the pant legs up to her knees rip off. She swung her left one out to knock away the incoming jacks. "Sorry, Kyoka!" she called out in apology. The team then landed down safely thanks to the hover soles on Ochaco's feet provided by Mei. As the battle was continuing, Toru's team had their headband stolen by Neito, and Weisz's team was quickly snatching away headbands from some of the Class B teams.
"Wha... Jinn?!" Manga exclaimed upon seeing his classmate claim his team's headband for Weisz to put around his neck.
"Why's he with a Class A guy?" Kojiro asked, quite shocked.
"Thanks for the help, man!" Weisz complimented to Kris, "You're not so bad of a guy after all!" he pointed out with a cheeky grin.
"Well, I figured in this situation, your Quirk wouldn't do much," the green-haired teen responded, causing his teammate to grimace.
"Hm," Maria chuckled, "Let's try to stay away from the big dogs for now," she advised of her comrades, "I get the feeling they'll be wringing themselves just to win..." she pointed out with narrowed eyes. As point totals kept changing one after another, Izuku's team found themselves getting converged onto yet again.
"Let's move!" Rebecca cried out.
"Right!" Ochaco replied. But all of a sudden, she found herself stuck as her left boot was stuck to a sticky ball, courtesy of none other than Minoru as he and Tsuyu were riding aboard Mezo's back. They managed to escape thanks to the jetpack, losing the hover sole in the process to Mei's dismay. And then Katsuki blasted himself up to them.
"DEKUUUU!" he roared angrily.
"EEK!" Rebecca shrieked. In that moment, Izuku's flinching expression changed into a fierce one as green sparks crackled around him. Just as his rival was about to blast them, he was punched in the face by the One For All inheritor's left fist, followed by Rebecca kicking him away. He was caught by his teammates below, standing back up on their hands.
"Whoa!" Ochaco yelped as they shakily managed to land. Taking off into the sky again was going to be a risky play, especially if they knew their foes could potentially reach them. So much was going on. Fumikage and Homura were helping steal any headbands they could from other teams for theirs, and Katsuki was now planning on going after Neito's team after they had stolen his team's headband.
Five minutes remained. It looked to be anyone's game. But at that moment, Izuku's team crossed paths with Shoto's. Their battle for the ten million points was about to begin...
And so it's begun! Gotta say, I'm really hoping that the next chapter can come out quickly. Because I really want you guys to see how this all ends! So until next time, I'll catch you later!
