And so we're finally getting ourselves into the original arc after a brief revisit to some of our characters and what they're up to. Aside from Rebecca getting totally embarrassed, it seems as if our heroes are closing in on a big operation involving Hermit Mio! And with Drakken Joe and Müller involved, anything goes!
So without delaying the inevitable, let's get this chapter started.
"Shibuya?" Eraser inquired, standing alongside Feather, Cure, and Jaguar as they were speaking with Holy and Justice in the latter's office.
"Mm-hmm," Holy responded with a nod, "Apparently, Müller got moved around to different locations after the recent lab raid before finally settling on a spot," she explained to her fellow I.U.A. Heroes.
"How guarded is the location?" Jaguar asked.
"Don't know yet," Holy answered as she shrugged, "But we've already got a warrant to take the place," she pointed out while smirking.
"I can't believe you managed to find that out..." Eraser admitted.
"How'd you even obtain that information?" Cure questioned curiously.
"Hm," Holy chuckled, "I have a knack for negotiation..." she remarked boastfully.
"It's a wonder you're even in the Top Ten..." Eraser grumbled out, causing her to scoff with another smirk as she looked away.
"Enough," Justice chimed in seriously, causing those in the room to see him stand up, "This upcoming operation is mainly meant to retrieve Hermit Mio from that bastard Müller's clutches," he told his fellow heroes, "But in the name of justice, we'll do whatever it takes to apprehend Tensai Nagai for what he's done..." he declared firmly with a hardened expression upon his face.
"In that case, we may want to request a team-up or two," Jaguar advised as he stepped forward, "I have a few heroes in mind I'd like to see working with us," he mentioned.
"From Hosu, right?" Eraser inquired.
"Ooh, sounds fun..." Holy added cheekily.
"I'll send out the requests to the heroes with the U.A. students from the Sports Festival," Justice decided, walking over to stand beside his window, "I want all sixteen to be working in the field with us as backup," he added firmly.
"All of them?" Eraser asked, arching an eyebrow.
"That might not be possible in some cases..." Jaguar pointed out.
"Then I'll make it possible," Justice retorted firmly, "We need all the help we can get..." he insisted firmly. Some of the I.U.A. Heroes gave off looks of genuine concern, while others seemed rather indifferent to the number three hero's decision. Outside the office, Kris stood by as he folded his arms over his chest. He had been listening to the entirety of the conversation.
"Drakken, you there?" he inquired into a communicator he had in his left ear.
"So the IUA's found out where Müller's holed up..." the mob boss realized over the line, causing the Wind Rage Quirk user to tremble a little, "Well, he's got funds to defend himself and if it comes to it..." he started to say, "we'll erase him and Hermit Mio from the equation..." he decided, "You and Laguna play along with the heroes, keep earning their trust," he advised, "We'll let you know what comes next," he promised before the call ended. Lowering his hand from his ear, Kris sighed deeply.
'Even if that bastard's on our side...' he began, closing his hands into trembling fists, 'I'll... never forgive him!' he declared inwardly out of rage.
"Hm?" Hawks uttered, answering his phone as he held it up to his left ear, "Yeah, what's up, Jimmy?" he inquired, landing atop a pole as he folded his red wings in, "I know you don't like the nickname, but can't a guy have a little bit of fun?" he questioned on with a chuckle and a shrug. Down below, his sidekicks arrived along with Fumikage, who was breathing heavily in exhaustion.
"What's goin' on up there, Hawks?" one of the sidekicks asked.
"Just got called by the IUA for a team-up!" the Wing Hero answered as he waved his phone to them, "Hey Tsukuyomi!" he called out to Fumikage, getting his attention as he was wiping the sweat away from his head, "How'd you feel about going on a rescue mission?" he inquired curiously, causing his intern to blink in surprise. He balled his hands into fists underneath his cloak determinedly.
"I'd like nothing more," he answered.
"I see," Endeavor responded from his office, holding up his phone to his right ear, "You'll have our cooperation," he assured, ending the call and exhaling a deep breath. He then ventured out of the office into the main space. "Burnin! Shoto!" he called out, getting the attentions of his sidekick and his son, "We're teaming up with the IUA for a rescue mission," he told them as he approached.
"Rescue?" the Half-Cold, Half-Hot Quirk user repeated in confusion as he blinked.
"What's the mission for, Sir?" Burnin inquired curiously.
"To rescue Hermit Mio from the supposed clutches of one Tensai Nagai..." the Flame Hero responded to their surprise.
"Huh?" Mirko uttered in annoyance upon hearing the person upon her phone, "Look, pal..." she grumbled out as Homura stood by, listening on curiously, "I don't do team-ups, especially with people who're so by the book and-" She stopped and blinked in surprise after something else was said to her. The Soul Blade Quirk user saw the Rabbit Hero glance back at her before exhaling a deep breath. "Okay, fine," she said into the phone, "We'll be there," she promised before ending the call.
"Who... was that?" Homura inquired as she blinked in concern. Her mentor turned to her.
"We're teaming up with more schmucks again, but for a good cause," she answered, "We're gonna save Hermit Mio," she told her intern, who widened her eyes slightly.
"I appreciate you calling me about this matter," Nezu said, holding the receiver of his phone up to his head, "That said, I'm not sure I'd want to send Bakugo to you when we've clearly established that he's not available to be a part of the internships," he told the person calling him.
"I understand that, Principal Nezu," Justice's voice responded over the line, "But aside from Witch and Sister, I think it'd be a good experience for him to actually see a stakeout firsthand," he pointed out, "Rest assured, I won't be teaching him anything serious," he mentioned. The U.A. principal glanced up in thought as he pondered the choice. He knew that Katsuki had been surprisingly well-behaved during his punishment, though still did seem frustrated. Maybe it would be good for him to get a taste of action, if only a little.
"Very well," Nezu said with a small smile, "I'll send Bakugo with Regret and Ivry shortly," he promised.
"That's all I can ask for, thank you," Justice replied with gratitude.
"SMMMAAAAASSSHHHHH!" Izuku yelled as he struck down a fleeing bank robber with his right fist, making him drop the suitcase he had in his hands as it slid to a stop in front of Gran Torino, who smirked.
"Good on you for getting better with your Quirk, kid," he complimented, "Maybe you involving in that whole mess with the Hero Killer wasn't so bad after all..." he suggested as he walked over.
"Heh, yeah..." Izuku agreed with a chuckle, picking up the suitcase from the ground. After the villain was taken into police custody and the money was returned, both the One For All inheritor and his mentor walked alongside each other along the sidewalk.
"We got at least two days left before you've gotta get back to class, so I'll help you focus on just strengthening your body," Gran Torino told the freckled teen.
"Oh, uh, thank you!" he stuttered in gratitude, "I'm glad I was able to tick up my limit during this time," he admitted, looking at his gloved hands before closing them into fists, "Soon, I'll definitely be able to say that I am here, just like All Might wanted," he declared with a bright smile.
"Heh," Gran Torino scoffed with a chuckle, "You're awfully chipper after all that's happened this week..." he pointed out.
"Well, I'm getting stronger!" Izuku replied, "Once I get back to school, I'll-!" His next words were silenced as he suddenly found his face in between the breasts of Holy, who blinked in surprise before letting off a smirk.
"Well, aren't you a cheeky boy~?" she teased. Immediately, Izuku stumbled away with a heavy blush upon his face.
"H-H-H-H-HOLY?!" he stammered out, evidently panicked from being in the I.U.A. Hero's cleavage.
"Well, if it isn't Seinaru..." Gran Torino noted curiously as he blinked, "To what do we owe the pleasure?" he inquired.
"A team-up," she answered, folding her arms underneath her ample chest, "We're conducting a raid to take down Doctor Tensai Nagai and rescue Hermit Mio from his dirty clutches," she explained. Izuku snapped out of his embarrassed state upon hearing that news.
"Hermit Mio, huh?" Gran Torino repeated, "And is it just me you wanted to team up with?" he asked on.
"Well, we specifically wanted the pros who've been interning the top sixteen from the Sports Festival..." Holy replied, "Along with those cute interns..." she mentioned slyly, causing another blush to explode upon the One For All inheritor's face.
"I see..." Sorahiko concluded, narrowing his eyes in thought, "Sorry you had to come out all this way to ask, but we're in," he apologized in advance.
"Y-Yeah!" Izuku stuttered in agreement, "If we can save Hermit, then it's definitely worth going along for!" he added with clenched fists.
"Great to hear!" Holy responded, clapping her hands together, "If it's alright though, I'd like to get a number so that we can share details if needed..." she told them.
"Oh, good point..." Gran Torino agreed, "Kid, that's your job," he advised of Izuku, causing him to blink in surprise.
"Um... s-sure!" he stuttered out. Moments later, he and Holy exchanged contact information.
"Perfect!" she exclaimed, "We'll let you know the details soon, Sorahiko!" she promised, "And your cute intern's gonna have one heck of an experience~..." she added before licking her lips. Again, Izuku blushed a bright red, while the Jet Quirk user sighed as they saw her depart.
"Seinaru Raito..." he muttered, getting his intern's attention, "She might seem like a glamour queen, but she's the real deal when it comes to being in the field," he told Izuku, "But as you can tell, she's a bit of a flirt..." he grumbled.
"Yeah, I think I got that..." the One For All inheritor mumbled out.
'Working with the IUA to rescue Hermit Mio, huh?' he noted inwardly, 'Wait...' he uttered through his thoughts, 'If we're working with the IUA, then that means I might see...' he started to realize, remembering the picture sent to him by Rebecca... of her cleavage. His blush exploded again. Gran Torino noticed.
"Seriously, are you that uncomfortable around women?" he wondered aloud.
Uh oh. Looks like quite the big team-up, but Izuku might be a little anxious about it... especially after what happened with Rebecca...
