Chapter Twenty

The Finish/Starting Line

A/N – Some have asked for more detail on the Documentary and I am planning to do that emphasizing the outcomes more than the content. I would think by this time that most of my readers understand the operation and how amazing it is. And I have to say, I really had fun with Jack's part. The Board meeting is next up, but don't worry, I won't belabor the content too much but will have to make sure I cover the orientation of the new members. More importantly, graduation for our lead couple looms. I won't forget the other kids but the graduation ceremony and party will be a major focus, including a planned announcement. I will make sure each Borden kid gets some air time and also Amy and Ty who will need some time together to reflect on everything. Everything they dreamed of is unveiling before them and it will draw them even closer together. As always, as my pen takes me, I may vary off course a little but in the end, I will meet my goals for this chapter and set up an unbelievable summer for the family. Please don't hesitate to let me know how I am doing, it means a lot to me. My readership continues to grow and I genuinely appreciate everyone's commitment to my journey. Mature Content (Especially Early in the Chapter 😊) – Enjoy!

RRR (Reader Review Responses) Guest thanks again your feedback. The documentary will continue to be a part of the content moving forward and I promise we will know soon when our young couple will be married.

The two lovers were entwined with a hunger for each other's passion. Her lips were magic as they brushed against his in a deep and sensual kiss. She continued her onslaught moving to his neck and chest and taught stomach. She moaned as her lips moved further down eliciting a moan from him as his head rolled back. She had his attention and he was at her mercy. As she accomplished her task he rolled her over to take control of a women he loved more than life. As she was panting heavily he kissed her deeply, moving to her earlobe and then her neck. After she started to calm he upped the stakes and moved to her very taught breast that were begging for his attention. He met her needs, moving moved his tongue and lips to her hard nipples causing her to arch her back and clutched the sheets tightly. He was giving her pleasure and soon she shook with an amazing orgasm, the second of the evening. He looked up and smiled as he positioned himself between her legs. She opened up for him as he entered her with earnest, and complete focus on her. Their familiar movements were steady and true as their bodies, as always were in sync. Their love was complete and genuine and as they continued the momentum increased. She shook in another orgasm and moaned his name as he buried his head in her neck and then moved to give her a deep kiss. He whispered her name as well, proclaiming his love over and over. Their lovemaking continued as their heartbeats and perspiration increased. The level of pleasure built up in a frenzy of an ecstasy only they could achieve. After several minutes they smoothly rolled over and now, she was looking down at him still joined with the man she loved more than life. She leaned back to increase the stimulation and he was wide eyed as her soft sweaty breast bounced with their motion. He was mesmerized by her familiar beauty that he never took for granted. Their movements increased as they both knew the moment they were waiting for was close. They were focused on pleasing each other as the sudden rush of their love hit high gear. As they climaxed they continued for a few seconds until she collapsed onto his chest, each of them panting heavily and perspiring from the exertion. As they laid there they could feel their partner's heart beating rapidly in sync as one. Neither of them could speak and as they settled they each felt that they were in a place just reserved for them. Their breathing settled as they held each other tightly. The bond they had was like no other. They were there for each other and were one in every way possible. She smiled and looked up into his eyes, the eyes that showed her the path to his soul. He responded by smiling at her is a way that was only for her. They were friends, lovers, confidants, protectors and were living a life of dreams. Her eyes closed first and sleep came quickly. He joined her as they dreamed about their lives and their future.

The entire place was abuzz after the Documentary was filmed. Word spread quickly about Jack and his amazing commentary and every time someone saw him they thanked him. He was by far the most respected figure in the entire organization. Mallory saw him one day and ran over. He rolled his eyes as she hugged him tightly. "Well Jack, it looks like the man who was my greatest influence will be seen by everyone. I heard all about your words and I just have to say that I would expect nothing less." She buried her head into his strong chest, even surprising him a little. "I love you Jack Bartlett." Georgie and Amy watched the interaction and held each other in tears. They realized how much he impacted so many people. Privately they also realized that at 90+ years old his time with them was limited, but also knew that no matter what that time with him would be invaluable. They smiled as Mallory finally released him, scurrying off. He looked over rolling his eyes, "Good lord you two as well?" They smiled meekly and went back to work. Amy was meeting with the Documentary host and her family today at the Rehoming Center. As promised she had the team prepare the Blue Roan, who from their perspective was ready. They would be meeting with Ellory and the team and would be introduced to the horse. Amy just wanted to be there for support and to inquire about the status of the preview of the film. When she arrived the family was already engaged, which was something she always got a lot of pleasure from. The host saw her and headed her way, "Amy, thank you so much, I never expected a call so soon, my daughter is over the moon and loves the horse already. The young woman helping me says we may be able to take her home today!" Amy smiled, "Well, I am so happy, but that is the way we roll here. We have to make room for the next horse so when we find a match it's go time." They both looked on as the staff member working with them took her daughter and introduced her the horse. The Blue beauty leaned into her snorting out playfully at her caress of her nose. Amy smiled as the horse, who needed attention after a life of abuse, got it from the young girl. In less than ten minutes they had saddled her and the young girl sat up proudly on her back. They began walking around the pen and almost immediately they became a team with a strong bond already. Amy whispered to her mother, "Now those two definitely are a pair. That horse is hungry for love and I am confident she knows she has it now." She looked over to Ellory who had a big smile on her face and nodded, "Ellory and her team will process the paperwork and you can take her home. You will get a number of items to take home to get you started." Now it was time for the mother to tear up, "Sorry I kind of knew this would happen, but to see it in real life, well that is something completely different. Oh and I have a gift for you." She handed over a thumb drive and smiled, "This is the very first run through of the documentary, so please only share it with Ty, Jack, Lisa, Lou and Scott. Maybe Georgie, Katie and Ellory too. We will have the close to final version for you in a week, so let Lou know so she can set the Board meeting date. Oh and if you need, the producer and I can join by zoom if there are any questions." Amy smiled, thank you and I promise I will guard this. Lou and Lisa will be excited to hear about the preview and we will take you up on your help." She smiled and headed over to her excited family looking back, mouthing thank you to Amy.

Back at the University of Calgary the college students were entrenched in the final weeks of school. Lyndy and Wyatt's last day was a week from Friday and the other the following Friday. As they woke up Lyndy leaned over to her man and smiled, "Graduation in less than three weeks, how exciting is that." He smiled sleepily kissing her neck, "Almost as exciting as last night." She giggled, "Come on lover boy, we need to get going. Lots of things going on, class, exam prep and oh yeah, getting ready for graduation." She smiled returning his kiss and jumping up, not realizing that she still had nothing on. He propped himself up, put his hands behind his head and smiled, "No that is a sight I never want to forget." She blushed and threw his shirt at him heading to the shower. The happy couple came downstairs to eat some breakfast before they left. Annie, Addie and Jeremy were there and would be riding with them but Maya and Bella were already gone. Lyndy smiled, "Hey Adds, how is Desi, I sure miss his pancakes, and I guess him." She smiled, "He is really doing well and they have taken off more of the halo so he is a little more flexible. He still needs to be at home but said maybe in a week he may attend a class or two in person. His mom is kind of being a little overbearing but it is understandable." Addie put her head down and Annie poked her, "So are you guys making out a little still." She blushed, we have gotten a little carried away but I don't want to hurt him. And his mom checks on him every 5 minutes and has caught us a few times. God I miss him." Jeremy smiled, "Trust me Addie, he misses you two, he was telling me how he could convince his mom to let him stay here one night and coming up with a way to you know do a little more than a kiss." Annie slapped Jeremy's side, "Jeremy that is mean." Addie smiled, "I know already Anns, he told me." They all laughed, cleaned up and headed to class as today was going to be really busy. As they pulled up Maya and Bella met them with as they were all smiles and Bella blurted out pulling Maya in close, "Guess who had the 1st place painting in her class – this girl." Lyndy, Annie and Addie screeched as the girls had a group hug. Jeremy and Wyatt rolled their eyes as they watched them jumping up and down. Finally Wyatt grabbed Lyndy's arm and kissed her cheek, "Babe, I got to go, see you all at lunch." She smiled warmly and as he walked away, she spoke up, "Good luck, love you." Annie said the same to Jeremy as he left and the other girls awed them loudly. Maddie was also very busy as school ended. She was not worried about exams as her grades were well above average. But as always she had a lot going on. She couldn't help herself but she was spending more and time with Ricky and loved him even more because of how he befriended Gwen and Sylvia. In fact they had double dated with Gwen and her boyfriend several times and with Sylvia, the four of them took trail rides and caught movies now and then. He was also becoming more and more involved with not only the Rodeo but the groups she belong to and she knew it was genuine and not just to get her to love him more. JT was also excited about ending the school year and getting into the summer and all of the fun he would have with Trent and especially Shawna. Now that he was 11 and heading for the 6th grade, he was interested in the business more and had begun asking questions. His mom, dad and sisters were happy to share things with him and also were amazed at his ability to comprehend things others his age would not. Wyatt took a special interest in his inquiries and they had become even closer. Secretly he asked him to be one of his groomsman and assured him only Lyndy knew. He was so proud to be asked as it solidified their bond even more. Trent was doing well and if anything happened to disrupt that, JT along with Shawna and others were there for him. But the most exciting thing for him was that Shawna would be in middle school with him next year. He had missed seeing her more often and was looking forward to it and continuing to get closer with her. He didn't fully understand it but knew it was what he wanted. The family along with Webers and Millers were coming over for a Friday night pizza dinner as Amy and Ty had something that they wanted to share with them. Even though it was Saturday, the Board Meeting was scheduled the next day and Amy and Ty were going to show them the video that Amy had gotten from the producers of the Documentary. Lou, Lisa and Jack had already seen it and they were going to surprise them. Everyone arrived and got settled, enjoying pizza and salads. These three families were the future and this would be a big step in that evolution.

As they ate, the six parents sat together marveling at how their children got along. Amy was happy to see that Desi was able to make it and how attentive the rest of them were to his recovery. Even though the halo was significantly reduced, Hannah and Noah had a million questions for him and he smiled and answered them. Jeremy and Annie noticed that they were being a little overbearing so they grabbed them to keep them occupied. Addie smiled at them in thanks. Lyndy was in a huddle later with her sisters talking about the wedding. They were giggling and laughing as Lyndy blushed several times. Lyndy kind of hinted that they had decided on a date and were going to announce it at their graduation party. She made them swear to secrecy and they agreed. Lyndy looked at Maddie directly, "And that means you for sure, you are just like Aunt Lou so you need to be quiet about it." She shook her head and agreed. JT sat with the younger kids making sure they were busy eating and coloring. As dinner ended everyone cleaned up and Amy asked everyone to gather in the living room. Some wondered what was up but they were so happy being together they didn't bother. Once everything was cleaned, they grabbed drinks and headed to the living room. With Clay's help Ty had Amy's iPad connected to the big screen TV. Ty got everyone to settle as the adults manned the sofa and chairs and the kids huddled on the floor. Amy got their attention and everyone quieted as she spoke. She smiled, "Nothing to fret about but we have a surprise for all of you. And you guys need to keep what we are about to see between us, especially you JT." They all laughed as some of the little ones tickled him. "We have the first draft of the Documentary that we will show tomorrow at the Board Meeting. GG, Lisa, Lou and Scott have already seen it but we wanted you to see it too. All of you are a part of our family company and will be a big part of the future if you choose. So, here we go, now remember, it is not the final version." They all gave their full attention and when it started little Amelia yelled out, "Look it's GG." They all watched in wonder seeing the place that they live and work at being portrayed in such a positive way. Every time one of their parents would be talking, their children would giggle and laugh. Nate and Matthew Weber squealed when their dad talked about an injured horse, "Daddy you look funny." Everyone chucked at the comments from all of the kids. Lyndy spoke up, "Mom, you Georgie and Katie look great and dad, you are still kind of hot for being older." Clay and Steven laughed as Clay ribbed him, "Well Ty you are pretty old." All the kids got especially quiet when they watched GG speak, as to them he was the best. While they were quiet JT spoke up, "I spoke to grandma and great grandma about this and they were really excited and happy. While I was talking an older man and a young girl in overalls rode up behind them without a sound. I was not able to talk to them and they were a little fuzzy, but Grandma Marion told me that they were her Grandpa Thomas and Aunt June. They smiled at me but did not speak, I think I can't speak to them. Great Grandma Lyndy said they were very pleased as well and told me to tell you guys hello." The room was deathly quiet as even some of the younger kids understood JT's link to the past. Lyndy looked at her mom with a warm smile and spoke to her little brother, "That's pretty cool bro, you need to make sure you tell GG the story. I bet he would like to hear it." They all chuckled and continued to watch the video. They all loved it, especially when Ellory went through the rehoming process in detail and they talked to some owners. All of them sat proudly as it came to an end when Katie spoke up, "Wow, that was so cool. But we are sure gonna get busier when this comes out and GG, he may need an agent to handle his notoriety." They all laughed and gathered up things. The Webers and Millers headed home and the Bordens settled in for the evening. Everyone was excited about the Board Meeting, especially the younger generation who were still new to it. In the bedroom, Lyndy was laying on Wyatt making circles on his chest smiling. "It was so cool to see GG and the others on the video. He is amazing but for one of the first times I saw that he was looking a little tired and older. I know he is Ok, but it still makes me sad that one day he may not be here anymore." Wyatt pulled her in tightly, kissing her forehead . "Lynny, I don't disagree but we do have one thing to hang on to. It will give JT one more person to keep us updated on. Let's get to sleep, it's gonna be a big day tomorrow."

Everyone was up early the next morning. Breakfast would be light since there would be breakfast and lunch at the meeting. A family BBQ was set up at Heartland for later for the larger group as well. The kids went out to settle the family horses and even though it was Saturday there was a lot of activity. Maddie, Annie and Addie along with Jeremy, Ricky, Haley, Camilla and a host of others were going to be on kid duty and had a whole day planned with them, including a trail ride and pizza at the Miracle Ranch. Addie was going to sneak out to see Desi after lunch since he was a little upset he couldn't be there. One of the highlights was going to be watching Annie do a training session as the Olympics were on the horizon. The kids loved to watch her jump so a big crowd was expected. Amy, Ty, Lyndy and Wyatt talked quietly gathering up what they needed for the day. Amy smiled at the young couple, "So ready for the day, these things can be a little intense. You know Aunt Lou she is the business woman in the family." Wyatt laughed, "And Maddie, she was coaching us yesterday and what would be talked about." Ty laughed, "That girl is going to run this place one day." They all laughed in agreement, packed up, went to say goodbye to the kids and headed over to Fairfield, where the meeting would be. As they pulled up they joined Caleb, Cass, Ellory and Mallory on the porch for hugs and handshakes. Ellory had been invited to walk through the video with the support of the producer, director and host, who were joining via Zoom. Clay and Ellie's husband Nick had set up all the electronics since on top of the Board, several others were invited as visitors. Lou and Lisa had decided to invite them for several reasons. Most importantly the video but other topics that were going to positively impact them. Everyone grabbed some breakfast snacks and drinks and settled. The Board sat around the board table and others in chairs and table set on the sides. They settled as Lou moved up to the podium that adorned the company logo on the front. She smiled as everyone quieted, "Good morning everyone, thanks for being here. We really appreciate that you are here on Saturday but business has been busy and some of our group are finishing up with school." She smiled, "And a certain two of us are graduating soon." Everyone clapped as Wyatt and Lyndy blushed at the attention. They settled and Lou took a few minutes to go over the agenda. They had decided to lead off with the video, so Ellory's team, who had come to see it, could get back to the booming business at the Rehoming Center. After that they would do a quick financial overview. Amy and Ty would go over the Miracle Ranch's Operating Report and Lou would cover everything else, including the overall company results. After a break, they would have the managers of each part of the company give an overview of their piece of the puzzle. A long lunch was planned so kids and work could be checked up on. After lunch, they would go over some upcoming new projects and updates concerning several parts of the company. After a short break they would spend the last hour or so just brainstorming. Lisa use to call it, nothing is out of bounds time. They had found that some of the best ideas came for it and Lou reminded the group, a result of that process was a very profitable Llama herd. As promised, Nick cued up the video and the Zoom attendees signed on. After introductions, the video, which was a more defined version began. With commercials it was an hour, but the actual content was around 40 minutes so they decided to play it all the way through. For the most part the group sat silently outside of the occasional clapping and chuckling. For those that had not seen it yet they marveled at the professionalism of the content even though it as not the final draft. Occasionally Caleb would speak up, "Hey there I am again, did they use my speaking part?" Georgie scoffed, "Caleb I introduced you and you say hey there." Everyone laughed as Caleb got serious, "But I said it well." When it was finished, the entire group clapped excitedly many saying how amazing it was and others saying the common theme of "We are really going to get busy." Jenn spoke up looking at Jack, "Jack Bartlett, you are my idol and were amazing. You are a great storyteller and to be honest, you steal the show, outside of my amazing husband's part." Everyone laughed agreeing with her about Jack. He sat quietly and smiled and after a breath he spoke to an attentive audience. "Well thank you Jenn, I have been known to tell a story or two in my life, right JT." After his thumbs up he continued, "It's easy to talk about the people and the place you love. And when I tell the stories my hope is that they will be passed down to all of the generations to come. They are what keeps us focused." After a moment, Georgie, Katie and Lyndy walked over to give him a hug together. Katie smiled, "Don't worry GG, we have your back."

Lou pulled everyone back in and mentioned a couple of tentative dates for the unveiling of the documentary and who had come on board to show it, as the list was lengthy. She started with the financial review of each separate company. She spoke proudly, "Again we are continuing to achieve growth in almost every area of the business and where we don't it is projected to be. The cattle business is really strong and both vet clinics are healthy and meeting our goals easily. The lodging and food part of the business are also doing well. Maggie's is benefitting from our exposure and the business continues to grow. We are in negotiations to expand again as the shoe repair shop next door has closed. Fairfield, Briar Ridge, the Dude Ranch and the Cottage are not only meeting the needs of our clients but filling up with regular customers. Jenn, you and Ben are doing an amazing job." After a few questions, Amy and Ty came up with Mallory there for support. They followed along with the video screens and went over each piece of the entire Miracle Ranch operation. Ty started, " The veterinary side of the Equine Center along with the two clinics are running well and staying on budget. As you know the cost of our services is for the most part included in our fees, specifically surgeries. Our connection to the University continues to flourish and they are a key part of our success. The Llama herd continues to provide income with sheerings three times a year." He ended by thanking the entire vet staff along with the techs and college kids on their clinicals. Amy stood up and began very composed. Lyndy looked at Ty and smiled, realizing that her mother's influence on the company was solid and steady. Amy smiled, "Well the Equine Center is exceeding all expectations and profit goals. Our business continues to grow steadily and we continue to work with more prolific owners. Donations are at an all-time high and with the video we just saw, we are confident that the Rehoming Center will grow as well. Later, Ellory and I will talk about some ideas for expanding their scope. On a side note the Day Care Center continues to be a valuable asset to our employees and thanks to Mallory, some expansions we recently completed allowing us to take on outside kids, and although it is relatively cheap, they pay full price. But we will never impact our ability to handle the kids of our staff members." She laughed, looking at Lyndy and Wyatt, "Ty and I need room for our grandkids." After blushes and laughs she continued, "So, I am supposed to mention that the entire Miracle Ranch operation is almost 80% or the company's operating budget. But I don't like to. We are one company and the size of the pie we each control is not important, it is all the whole pie together that is important. As my grandpa has always said, we are strong when we are together and everyone is important and considered equal." The group smiled and clapped lightly as Ty walked up. "Like Ty I can't say enough about the Equine Center and Day Care staffs." She put her head down and took a breath, "I know my mom and grandma would be pleased that we have such an amazing and dedicated group of people completely committed to our clients and their horses. Everyday Ty and I feel blessed to be apart for such an amazing group of people and love each and every one of you." They all smiled and clapped as Ty spoke up, "We do have a slight concern. Now that we are in the midst of a budding movie star, Caleb O'Dell, we just hope he continues to be a part of this even though he is a mega superstar." The group lost it as Caleb poked his best friend. Lou gathered them back and promised that after she went through some final comments there would be a break. As expected the overall performance was outstanding and her graphs clearly showed the percentage of the business of each part. There was one thing she did that astounded the group. The three major pieces of the company shared equal space on the pie chart where each part was detailed. She laughed, "This is not proportional but as you know we consider every piece to be equal in value, no matter the percentage." Lisa spoke up, "Well put Lou and I know Jack and I concur and support that approach. We are successful because of that attitude and the respect we have for each other." Everyone clapped as Lou excused them for a short break. So far the meeting had been awesome.

After the break, each different piece of the company went through their operation talking about staff, new processes, accomplishments and changes made since the last meeting. Everyone was actively engaged in the conversation and were genuinely interested. Everything discussed was positive and everyone offered ideas as nothing was off the table. Ellory went last as the conversation about the Rehoming Center after the documentary release was pretty involved. Ellory was open for any and all ideas and realized that their business would spike and they would need all the help they could get. The group brainstormed some ideas and Katie jotted them down on one of the flip charts. Mallory was also taking notes for the entire meeting and would publish them later and develop an information packet for the entire staff. One thing that was constant, almost everything discussed including financials was shared, except the few things that needed to be kept more private. Lunch was being set up so Lou closed out the morning with nothing but compliments for everyone there and thanking them for an outstanding year to date, the best ever. They applauded and broke for a little over an hour lunch so the parents of the young ones could check in. Back at the Miracle Ranch, the Borden girls and all of their helpers were having a blast with the younger generation. Pizza had just arrived and they were enjoying pizza, cheese sticks, salad and drinks. JT was with Shawna, Trent and the Weber kids and really enjoying being the bigger kids. Maddie, Annie and Addie were in charge and took their roles seriously. A bunch of the kids had just got back from a trail ride and some of the kids had been watching the ranch hands practice for the company rodeo which was going to be later in the summer. After lunch, Annie was going to do her Olympic training session and the course would be set up exactly how it was going to be in Los Angeles. Everyone was planning to watch along with many of the staff with plans to cheer her on. Addie secretly hoped that the energetic crowd would inspire her and give her an idea of what the atmosphere would be like in the Olympics. The group at the Board Meeting was reassembling after lunch and began to settle. The afternoon went really well. There weren't many major projects on tap but those that were planned were discussed and agreed upon. After the afternoon break, the brainstorming session also went well but there was one surprise from the younger Board members. Lyndy, Wyatt and Clay presented an idea to the entire team. She smiled, a little nervous and spoke to the group, "Wyatt, Clay, Katie and I have been looking over the process of admission for new clients at the Equine Center and after talking to Nick, we have an idea. Although we have a great electronic system of tracking every horse with our I-Pads, our system of accepting new clients is still a little to pen and paper. So we have an idea. For those clients who are technically savvy we can move the entire process online with a link on our website. It would allow then to enter all of the information we need ahead of time and Nick can create a path to the system, give each client a number and make it readily available to all of us confidentially. We are confident that it will help expedite things even to the point where mom and dad can stay ahead of the flow of work." Every one smiled impressed with the idea and even more impressed with her composure and maturity when she presented it. Clay added, "We also think it can be used for the Rehoming process. We know we have great process in place already, but making as much as possible to be online will give us more time with the horses and clients." After a few questions, they decided to have Nick begin work on a template with help from the four newest members of the Board. Jack smiled as he sat proudly, watching the next generation begin to shine. Lou convened the meeting and everyone headed over to Heartland for a BBQ celebrating a really good day.

The end of the school year came quickly for all of the Bordens and it was a few days before the graduation for Lyndy and Wyatt. The last few weeks of the school year were packed with a lot of late night studying, work and final exams. Everyone was very excited and pleased with their expected results especially Lyndy and Wyatt who did very well. Lyndy was in the top 5% of her class and Wyatt was selected to give the valedictorian speech and ended up with top honors not only for his grades but all of his practical experience. They both were on top of the world and really looking forward to the ceremony and the party, especially since they had a big announcement to make. Wyatt and Lyndy were sitting with Amy and Ty after dinner one night and the other kids were taking care of the horses. Amy smiled, "Dad and I are so proud of you two and are excited about the ceremony and Wyatt's speech. Did you have any questions about the party, it is going to be quite the event. Last count Maddie told me there were over 200 people invited. Thank goodness we decided on an open house. Are you good with the music starting after 6ish so all you younger folks can let loose?" Lyndy smiled and seemed to be wanting to say something. Ty looked at her leaning to grab her hand, "What's wrong sweetie, you seemed distracted." She took a breath and grabbed Wyatt's hand tightly. "Well we have something to ask you." She hesitated and looked into Wyatt's eyes, "We want to announce our wedding day at the party, do you think it is too much." Amy sat as tears welled up in her eyes and Ty now grabbed her as it seemed she may pass out. She was unable to speak so Ty took control, "You guys, we think that would be awesome, we just need to figure out when to do it." Amy finally gathered herself and went to hug them both, "We are so happy for you guys, I can't believe my baby is getting married. Why don't we do it around 5ish, I think that would be when the most people are there." Wyatt smiled as now Lyndy was unable to speak. "Wow, looks like I may have to give two big speeches now. I am good with it." Amy smiled, "So can we know when?" Lyndy smiled, "Well we don't know the actual date, but sometime over the holidays, around your anniversary." Amy again burst out in tears falling into Ty's arms as he smiled, "Well we can decide that later. We need to compose ourselves before the kids get back. The group returned and the family sat around talking about the end of the year and graduation for Lyndy and Wyatt. Slowly they all went to bed as they all had a busy day tomorrow. Lyndy and Wyatt laid together enjoying the calm when she smiled, "I am glad we told them. Did you see my mom's face?" Wyatt smiled, "Yea she seems pretty happy even though I am taking her little girl. I know we will stay here after we get married for a while but we need to think about the future and our own place. And kids." Whoa there slugger, the place to live thing is cool and of course I want to have kids with you, but maybe later. My mom had me less than 2 years after they were married, but they were older, much more established in their careers and had a place of their own already. Let get that in line and then start a family. I want at least 3 kids, maybe 4." He smiled turning up his eyebrow, "Well we should have the process down by then." Her eyes went wide as she poked him, "The process, really!" She reached down to his boxers, "You mean this process." Wyatt caught his breath and mumbled, "Yeah." They had a lot to celebrate and their night was far from over. It was a great time of life for them and they couldn't wait for what was soon to happen in their lives. They loved well into the night and fell asleep in a very satisfied bliss. Their thoughts were of their life together and the future before them.

As the famliy woke up the sun was already up and shining brightly. In just a few hours the family group would assemble to watch Lyndy and Wyatt graduate. Due to the size of the program, the entire Holistic Animal Program at the University had a separate ceremony that would be in the quad. Luckily, they were able to get enough seats for immediate family and close friends and they would more than likely be louder than most. The Borden family was well known on campus and the director of the program and Dean planned to see Ty and Amy before the program started. A sleepy Wyatt and Lyndy came downstairs for see a full breakfast ready and their siblings already heading back from getting the horses fed and watered. JT was the first to come in and proclaimed, "Happy Graduation Day. And by the way after the dust settles, I think you need to pay more attention to Sundance and Star. You know they are still your horses." Everyone laughed as Amy gave him a look and he immediately apologized. Over breakfast they went over the logistics for the day. Amy spoke up, "JT, you are going with the Saunders so make sure you are ready." Addie giggled, "I wonder what Shawna will be wearing?" He blushed and shoved a pancake into his mouth. "Maddie, Annie, Addie, you guys are going to ride with us, parking is an issue. Do we need to pick up Jeremy?" Annie shook her head yes. Maddie spoke up, "Ricky and Gwen are being dropped off but will have to go home with us." She looked at Addie not knowing about Desi. Addie smiled with her head down, "It's 50/50 right now and if he does his mom and dad will bring him. They have adapted their van and right now it is his only way to get around. He really wants to come though." She looked at Lyndy, "He will be at the party though, even if he has to walk." They all smiled and after cleaning up went to get ready. Lyndy and Wyatt had to get there early so they were leaving soon. Amy and Ty were left and he immediately saw her body language and grabbed her from behind whispering, "Breathe Amy, it is going to be a great day." She smiled turned and kissed him deeply. As they embraced the passion increased and they heard several people clearing their throats. Addie spoke up, "For real, what are you 16, we gotta get it going here." Lyndy and Wyatt knocked on their parent's door as they were heading out. Lyndy smiled as the door opened, "Mom, we are going, so we will see you there." Amy smiled on the verge of tears and just hugged her, then hugged Wyatt." Ty smiled, "Got your speech Wyatt." He smiled holding it up and without hesitation hugged him as well, whispering thank you in his ear. They headed out and about a half hour later the rest of them met on the porch. Amy stood with her girls for emotional support as Ty and JT stood by. "JT whispered, "Man we are going to need a lot of Kleenexes." JT's ride came and he headed out. They loaded up the big SUV and headed on their way. Camilla and Caroline Walsh, offered to handle the set up for the party. The large tent with plenty of fans was already set up and attached to the front porch. Maggie's was sending the food over that would be served by some of the youth program kids and students from the clinical program and the ranch hands had tables set up for it along with tables and chairs set up for guest. A decorated gift table was also ready along with a small stage and microphone. Clay had set up speakers so background music could be playing and they hired a DJ for the evening as well. As they pulled up to the University, they saw several of the family gathering. Also as Amy and Ty approached the Dean and Director of the program approached as the Dean spoke, "Dr. and Mrs. Borden, it is so nice to see you on such a wonderful day. You must be proud of your daughter and her fiancé, I know we are. And I have to say, we are excited about the release of the documentary about your Rehoming Center. If we can support it any more please don't hesitate to ask." Amy smiled, "Thanks you Dean Wortham and Dr. Molder, you have been so helpful already. We are really proud of them too, along with our twins, who love this school. I am pretty confident that our high school daughter and middle school son will be here soon. You will definitely have your fill of Bordens." Dean Molder laughed, "Well of course and then their kids as well one day, although I think the Dean and I will not have the pleasure of seeing them." Everyone laughed and after handshakes they headed off to get ready for the ceremony. The family and friend gathered as they waved at Lyndy and Wyatt who were standing in line to take their seats. Much to everyone's surprise, Desi was there. Addie had arranged a special area where she could sit with him and his parents where he was sheltered from the crowds. Everyone was set as the Dean stood at the podium, welcoming and thanking everyone for being there. He then proudly spoke, "Ladies and Gentlemen, please join us in welcoming our graduates." Applause rained down as the headed to their seats. Amy and Ty couldn't help but notice the smiles on Lyndy and Wyatt's faces as they went to their seats.

The ceremony was amazing and reasonably short since it was just their program. Each student was called up and their accolades shared with everyone. Lyndy was called up before Wyatt and the speaker detailed her accomplishments and the fact that she planned to carry on the legacy of her mother, grandmother and great grandmother. He mentioned the Bordens and the company as well, as cheers that came from the family section. She beamed when she was presented with her diploma and academic awards. She glanced at Wyatt first seeing his happiness and then to her mom and dad who were clapping and crying at the same time. As the line continued, it came up to Wyatt's name and when it was called, Lyndy was heard screaming with excitement. As he approached the stage, the presenter, who was the head of the Veterinary program spent a little more time on his accomplishments, highlighted the well-publicized rescue of the dozen horses. He mentioned how he had been working at the Marion Fleming Equine Center for several years apprenticing his soon to be father-in-law as well as Dr. Scott Cardinal. Dr. Cassandra O'Dell and Dr. Steven Weber, all graduates of this program. As Wyatt approached he smiled, "And Wyatt will be delivering the valedictorian speech as he accomplished top honors in the program. But in addition, due to his many accomplishments and invaluable field experience, we have talked with the team at the Equine Center and they have agreed to an accelerated clinical program. This will allow him to achieve his DVM certification by the end of September. Rumor is we have heard he already has a job." The entire group erupted in laughter and applause that lasted for a few minutes and Wyatt blushed while looking at his fiancé. Then out of the blue, Lyndy came running onto the stage to hug him and give him a pretty big kiss. The Dean smirked moving to the podium, "Now Miss Borden, that is not the protocol but in this case we will let it go. But remember we have more graduates." Again the crowd laughed and applauded as the couple moved back to the seating area but this time next to each other. The reminder of the graduates were recognized and several other members of the university staff and a few local politicians made comments. It was time for Wyatt to speak so after he was again recognized for his accomplishments and that he was selected by his classmates to give the class speech he came to the podium with his notes in hand. Lyndy sat on the edge of her seat holding all of their papers as he began. Everyone was quiet as he gathered himself until a yell came from the audience. It was very distinctive as the entire family knew who it was. With Maddie's support, JT stood on his chair and bellowed, "You go Wyatt, we all love you and you are going to do a fantastic job!" As the family reacted with a mix of pride and fear, the rest of the crowd again laughed and applauded. Wyatt took a breath as the crowd quieted and JT got a mix of high fives along with stern looks from his parents and began to speak.

"Good afternoon everyone, I guess before I start, I need to recognize my fiancé's little brother JT for his unexpected remarks and say to him that I love him to. Actually I love the entire Borden Family, especially my Lyndy and everyone here to see us graduate today. I think we all realize that today is due in a large part to the family and friends that have supported us during our life and our educational journey" Everyone clapped solemnly as he continued. "So on behalf of the graduating class, I want to thank all of them and recognize Dean Wortham, Dr. Molder, our professors and everyone on the staff of this amazing program at the University of Calgary. We all have been privileged to be a part of this reputable program and will use our experiences and knowledge to make the world of animals and their owners we care for better. Years ago I was lost. My parents passed when I was young from an automobile accident and I was raised by my amazing grandmother, June Miller. My grandma was a simple woman who was married for over 50 years and had two children, one being my father. I was very young when they died but she kept them alive through her stories. She would always tell me I had the best parts of both of them in me." He stopped and took a breath, "Then one day I met a girl who was beautiful, kind, caring and for some reason liked me. We started hanging out and one night my Grandma told me that she was the one for me. Well luckily didn't mess it up and Lyndy and I got engaged over the holidays. We have the same morals and focus and our goals have always been aligned. She is my best friend and soul mate and I can't wait for our life together to start as husband and wife." Everyone clapped again as the Borden family as well as Lyndy were tearing up. He continued trying to control his emotions. "Not too long ago, my grandma got sick and she knew that her time was short. She made it a point to make sure that I was going to be taken care. My family in the states had become distant so she spoke to Dr. and Mrs. Borden to see if they would become my guardians until I turned 18. Thank goodness they accepted, even though they already had 5 other children. I was overwhelmed with joy because with this family, everyone is in your corner and always there for you. The people I work with at the family business are there for me too, even you Caleb." Caleb jump up and hooted, "Hell yeah." Wyatt blushed looking at the Dean who smiled brightly. "Anyway I have a family now that loves and supports me so I consider myself a lucky man. Yesterday, Lyndy and I went to visit my parents and grandma at our family grave site and let them know what was going on. I know they are proud of me and what I have accomplished but even with what I have today, I still miss them." He took a breath as the crowd listened respectfully. "My point is that all of us have been fortunate to have people behind is for support and love. But what we all have achieved is amazing and we have the rest of our lives to experience and use it. What we have done is remarkable and we should all hold our heads high with pride of our accomplishments." Everyone clapped in agreement and the graduates were now standing, hooting and hollering. Wyatt smiled looking directly at Lyndy, "Guys we did it!" The Dean and the Dr. Molder came back to the podium and Wyatt rushed to a crying Lyndy. The Dean spoke, "Graduates, congratulations and go forward on your new journey." Hats flew in the air but Wyatt immediately turned to Lyndy and kissed her passionately as she blushed, "Wyatt?" He laughed, "I wanted to get that done first, your family is heading this way." As the family closed in she whispered, "Wyatt we have the rest of our life and trust me there will be a lot of kisses for sure. I love you Dr. Wyatt Miller." He smiled, "I love you too, soon to be Mrs. Lyndy Miller." The family surrounded them as the celebration was about to begin.
