I froze upon reading what was written down. Two... hearts? Is this really how she feels about me? I...

My heart then did a sudden summersault filled with fear as I quickly whipped back around in a slight panic to fully face Nami so she didn't notice that I was freaking peeping at her diary.

Nami noticed the somewhat franticness in my spin to look toward her and she raised an eyebrow, flashing me one suspicious look. Before Nami could question me further, someone knocked on the door and in entered Lou.

"Oh, hello girls! Nami, I didn't know Kayla was here in your room this evening, do you two do this often now?" Lou cheerily asked with a giggle. "It's just a rare sight to see someone else in your room with you so often it now seems," she observed in a teasing sort-of tone.

"She got spooked by something outside, so she asked to stay here for a bit..." Nami muttered while she was trying to hide the fact that the blood was rushing to her cheeks as she refused to make eye contact with Lou and she put her hands into her pockets.

"Ooh, I see. She should stay the night then just to be safe, your bed should be big enough for two people to fit anyway, Nami!" Lou casually exclaimed and once she was done speaking, she put her hand near her mouth; her giggling once more while trying to conceal it at the same time.

Does Lou have a feeling that Nami is gay for me like I'm suspecting too?? Is she playing dumb?? Or is she THAT oblivious to think we're just straight platonic gal-pals or whatever to suggest sleeping in the same bed like that??

"NO." Nami blushed furiously as she refused, her sapphire eyes immediately growing insanely wide as her face kept on heating up more. And my face heated up right with Nami too. I mean... the thought of sleeping right next to Nami in her bed, I-I... ...

Lou sighed. "Well, at least walk her home, Deary. It already just got pretty dark outside just now. Better safe than sorry, I even heard rumors that Molly has a stalker at this time of night."

Molly has a stalker?? That's concerning, I-

"Fine," Nami huffed in annoyance as she then hastily stormed out of the room with her hands in her pockets, her head looking down the whole time so she wouldn't make eye-contact with Lou. She paused at the doorway and gestured for me to follow her; poor Nami seems beyond mortified by Lou's comments. "Come on."

I followed behind Nami out of the inn and we began walking back toward my farm. Nami was walking a little ahead of me without saying a word, she was looking down toward the ground while her hands still remained tucked in her pockets. The sky was pretty dark out now just like Lou had said and I kept glancing at the street lamps as we slowly kept on walking.

"It sure is nice out tonight at least..." I remarked absentmindedly while now looking up at the moon.

"And you sure like to talk a lot..." Nami muttered.

"I actually don't, I'll have you know! I'm actually pretty introverted myself," I insisted with a huff and continued on, "So you shouldn't make that assumption, silly. I used to be less social with people back in the day and was very selective with whom I talked to, I mean sometimes I still am. Some conversations with strangers were just so draining for me back then, but now I don't really mind talking to people. Especially people I like - like you!"

I then paused and blushed. "I-I mean... Not like t-that... Not in that way... I just mean, I think you're a cool person and stuff, and u-uh..."

"Uh-huh..." Nami quietly answered with a slight playful tone just slyly slithering in her voice and she walked a little faster ahead of me.

"W-What does that mean?!" I blurted out outrageously flustered and I walked a little faster, trying to catch up to her.

I then gasped at remembering the bear and I let out a little shriek. "Eeeek! Wait, Nami! Walk beside me! I forgot about the bear! It could still be out here, I don't know where it is! I'm scaredddd!"

Nami paused and waited for me to start walking beside her as she slightly looked over her shoulder to look at me from behind; her expression looked rather stern. It's hard for me to tell what she's thinking, why does she have to look so cool as a cucumber and so freaking mysterious all the time?!

I blushed a little taken aback that she actually stopped in her tracks for me and Nami slowed down her pace to match mine as we started to walk beside each other. We then finally turned the corner to enter into my farm. My heart started pounding more and more with each step we took, my mind was just blanking and I couldn't think of what else to say.

We finally then arrived in front of the entrance to my house and I turned toward her, now meekly playing with my fingers.

"U-Uh... Well... Thank you for walking me home... You be careful too when you walk back, I don't know what that bear is capable of and it's still out there, and..."

I then noticed Nami suddenly perked up and she smirked slightly at me.

"By the way... That egg soup you got me... I wasn't expecting it to be so delicious."

I just stood there, with my mouth slightly hanging open in shock, and my cheeks were just so pink just like the cherry blossom trees on my farm. The moonlight was shining down on us both as we gazed into each other's eyes and the cherry blossom petals swayed so radiantly in the wind.

I'm just so speechless and taken aback by her random as heck compliment! Like... Wow, she must really like egg soup!

"Well, thanks again... Later."

With her calmly proclaiming that, I watched Nami walk out of my farm and I was still at a loss for words. The wind and cherry blossom petals were rushing through my hair as I just kept standing there.

Fear then consumed me.

Aw man, that bear... I wish I could have asked Nami to sleep over or something! I don't wanna be alone, I'm scareddddddd!

I hugged myself and trembled, almost wanting to whine out loud. Almost.

Namiiiiii, come backkkkkk...
