These past two days I've been really working my butt off with trying to grind to make money and that's where my main focus has been at. Takakura told me that I could open up my own shop in the town's plaza when Van isn't here, and that's what I've been doing these past two days. I've been gathering as many items off the ground as much as I can and I've been selling it to the people in town.

I've also gone to the dig site and found a bunch of cool stuff I want to sell too! I actually gave Nami some of my finds from the dig site and to my surprise, she actually seemed to think they were pretty cool! Some of the stuff I gave her though, I could tell she thought was kind of weird. But nonetheless, I could tell she liked it!

Speaking of Nami though, I haven't really spent much time with Nami these past two days... When I gave her the dig site gifts, I did it kind of briefly and kind of ran away after she said thanks basically, since I've been so busy trying to be a money-making machine farmer here. I also figured I kind of wanted to give her some space too; they do say absence does make the heart grow fonder after all. I want to make her miss me a little bit, I guess, but at the same time there's a part of me that doesn't want to bother her. She definitely seemed taken aback that I didn't want to talk for long either, but...

At the same time, I get this gut feeling that Nami has been trying to avoid me and keep her distance from me too? ... I don't know.

Anyway. In other news, Takakura also gave me a dog!! Now I totally feel more protected from that freaking possessed teddy bear! However, it kind of was a bummer, because he made me pick between two stray dogs, and he wouldn't let me keep both of them... How dare he! All because he isn't a dog person, like what. He gave the floppy-eared dog to a family in the city. The dog I chose though was this beyond cute orange and white pointy-eared dog and he had the cutest red bandanna around his neck. I named him... Pointy! Hehe.

A kind of super natural thing also happened to me though. These little elf-like creatures revealed themselves to me yesterday when I was watering my crops and they called themselves the Harvest Sprites. They told me they needed my help to revive the Harvest Goddess by collecting 'Wonders' or whatever that is... I'm not sure exactly what that means, but they said if I visited them in the Harvest Goddess spring forest area or whatever, then they would teach me new recipes everyday. And I definitely want to impress Nami more with my cooking! Hehe.

But yeah, I'll have to worry about finding them later in that forest, because right now...

I'm currently in the middle of town having my own shop open once again. On display for sale I have some items from the dig site I found, some pink and yellow flowers, and that's about it for now. I've already put my cow's milk and eggs from my chicken in the shipping box already for Takakura to take today, so I'm just gonna sell this other stuff today.

I've been standing for about two hours without really anyone walking by my shop. Sigh. Maybe I should close up and call it a day...

Footsteps were suddenly heard and I felt my heart skip a beat when I saw that it was... Nami.

"...You've opened up your own shop, huh?" she quietly observed and casually walked up to my items on display for sale. "Let's see what you got..."

"Um... Y-Yeah! Take your time with looking!" I cheerily exclaimed; however, nervousness definitely reeked in my voice.

Nami's sapphire orbs scanned the items on the table for a few seconds until she paused and to my surprise, she picked up a yellow flower, a Toy Flower to be exact.

"Hey, how much do you want for the flower?"

I stared at her, completely dumbfounded. I could have sworn Nami didn't like flowers like that... I still can't believe she accused me of trying to eat flowers too that one time when we first met, gahhh.

Usually this flower costs about 10 gold, but...

"For you? 5 gold!" I cheerily exclaimed as I held up the flower.

Nami flashed me one incredulous look. "Wait, for real? Why discount it for me?" Her expression then softened and I felt my heart skip a beat. "...Well, whatever. Can't say no to a good deal."

I giggled a bit as I handed her the flower and then a nervous laugh escaped my lips. "But, uh... Hey... Don't take this the wrong way, but I kind of assumed you were the type to not like flowers?"

Nami was quiet for a moment before she spoke.

"It reminds me of the one you tried giving me when I first met you..." she admitted in a mutter, her eyes averting my gaze as she looked downwards toward the ground.

What she said left me breathless and I blushed wildly. W-What... What did she just say? Did she really just say that just now? I-

I suddenly felt someone lock their arm around mine.

"Hey Babe, got any freebies to sell?? I got no money with me, you know! Hehe."

I inwardly groaned.

STUPID ROCK RUINING MY MOMENT WITH NAMI!

I pushed him away from me and before I could tell him off, Lumina, the sweet shy girl who lives in that big Villa in the valley, walked up to my shop. "Hey Kayla, do you mind if I take a look?"

I happily smiled. "Of course!"

As I began to converse with her more while Rock kept making annoying comments here and there to us both, I noticed Nami started to walk away with one hand in her pocket and the other holding the flower I sold to her. She didn't say a word when leaving.

I felt my heart sink.

Nami...

Author Note: Hope you enjoyed this mini chapter! This actually happened in the game where I opened up my shop and Nami wanted to buy one of the Spring flowers from me, and I was so confused! XD Because she usually only likes fall flowers, loll. Anyway, thank you for reading and please review if you guys can. Thank you so much.
