The two settled into silence with nothing but the sound of the rain around them. With a quick glance over Kagome noticed he finally seemed more relaxed. His long legs were stretched out and crossed at the ankles while his body was fully reclined into the plush pillow with one arm behind his head.
Kagome burrowed back down into the covers. She noted all that separated them was the comforter and a box of tissues. A sense of calm filled her. She was reminded again how with him the lack of talking never seemed awkward like it would be with others. She tried to tell herself that it was just because she knew that was how Sesshomaru was and excepted it. This was how he always has been and always would be.
