Yay, it's another interlude!
I decided to have Pru and Eliot be roommates. Don't ask me why, it just sounded good to me.
This takes place at the end of Season 2, Episode 1: The Beantown Bailout Job. As in right after the screen goes dark.
The legalities: I do not own any of the Leverage franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au. Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!
Hope you enjoy!
Pru was really attempting to not laugh, but the sight in front of her was making it hard for her to keep it in. she was sitting on the couch in Nate's apartment (though the building was now owned by Alec), watching as Nate began to argue with the hacker about the ethicality of him being Nate's landlord. Parker, who didn't really seem to understand what was going on, was bouncing around the two, adding some (almost) incoherent thoughts to their fight. Pru briefly considered hiding all of Parker's chocolate, but then she stopped that train of though before it got too far. She really did not want the thief to be mad at her.
Shaking herself out of her thoughts, Pru looked up to see Eliot standing in front of her with a smirk on his face. He had found a towel (somewhere) and had wiped some of the dust off of his face (though he was still mostly covered from cutting that doorway out of the wall). Taking the hand that he held out for her (luckily, he had put the chainsaw down somewhere), Pru got up as she rolled her eyes at the mischief that she saw in his. "What did you do now?"
Eliot chuckled. "Nothing yet. What's your plan?"
Pru sighed as she began to lead the hitter towards the kitchen. "You mean now that we are based here in Boston?" At his nod, she gave a small, self-deprecating smile as she hopped up to sit on the counter. "Well, since it's a bit last minute, I'll have to book a hotel room or something until I can find a place, since I don't have any safe houses near here. Luckily, I was able to get out of my lease on my place in L.A., so I don't have to worry about that."
"You could stay with me."
Pru quickly looked over at Eliot, who had his back to her as he looked in the fridge to see what Nate had that could pass for edible food. "You serious?"
Eliot looked over his shoulder at her. "Why not? We get along for the most part and I already have a safe house just outside of the city that has plenty of space. It would work"
The manager inhaled deeply with a very serious look on her face. "Are you sure that you're sure about this, Eliot? I would be invading your space, and I know how much you like your space."
As she had been talking, Eliot had come to stand in front of her and had placed on of his hands on the one of hers that was on the counter. "Pru, I wouldn't have offered if I didn't mean it. not to mention that you are leagues above anyone else because you have already considered my habits."
Pru scoffed. "Well, then, cowboy, you ready to blow this joint? Because there is only so much crazy that I can take and this job kinda took it out of me."
Eliot chuckled as he moved out of the way for Pru to hop off of the counter. "That depends. Did you bring your motorcycle or a car?"
"Oh, that's right! You haven't seen my car, have you? Well, you are in for a surprise. And my bike is in a trailer with my books attached to the car, so there is that. Come on, cowboy!"
And with that, the hitter and the manager walked out the door, leaving the hacker, thief, and mastermind to wonder where they were an hour later when they finally stopped bickering. Oh, well.
