On the day of Midtown High's graduation ceremony, a group of students were bunched side-by-side and posing with their high school diplomas for a photo, especially Peter and Gwen as they were holding up their respective science awards.

"Say chess!" The school photographer cued.

"Chess!"

After the photographer captured his group photo, the students goes their seperate ways as they were congratulating one another.

Peter and Gwen turned to see Aunt May walking up from the attending seats to give the two a congratulating hugs before offering her nephew kisses on the cheeks.

"Oh, darling, I'm so proud of you. You looked so handsome up there," Aunt May said, before turning to Gwen. "And you looked very beautiful as always, sweetie."

"Aww, thank you, Aunt May," Gwen smiled gratefully.

As Aunt May broke up the hugs to greet other friendly relatives of the students that were present, Peter felt someone patted his shoulder.

"Guys?" The two turned around, seeing Harry with a wide smile. "Good news: my father got the place in New York, so we're all set this fall."

"Oh, that's great," Peter said gleefully.

Gwen agreed with a wide smile. "That's awesome, Harry."

"You made it," The three best friends looked behind to see Norman greeting them. "It's not the first time I've been proven wrong," He then offered his son a solemn handshake. "Congratulations."

Harry returned the gesture. "Thanks, Dad."

Norman walked past his son and approached his two best friends. "And Peter, it's good to see you again," He said, the boy nodded with an acknowledging smile. Norman then turned his attention to the blonde. "And you must be the famous 'Gwen Stacy' Harry told me about. It's a great privilege to meet the daughter of the honorary Captain Stacy."

"Likewise, sir," Gwen said with a welcoming smile. And speaking of her father, she heard him calling out for her attention from the distance, obviously to be there for his young girl's graduation. "Oh, that's probably my dad right now. See you around, guys. And it's great to meet you, Mr. Osborn."

After Gwen left Peter and the Osborns to themselves, Norman couldn't help but notice achievements the two top high school prodigies earned. "I see you and young Stacy earned the science awards together. That's terrific," He complimented with proudness in his voice.

"Yeah," Peter didn't offer much in return, other than a tiny nod and a weak attempt at a small grin.

Noticing his lack of response and downed look, Norman placed his reassuring hand on the dear boy's shoulder. "I know this has been a difficult time for you, but I want you to try to enjoy this day. Commencement: The end of one thing, the start of something new."

Peter felt his smile spread across his lips when he listened to Norman's flourishing gesture, not noticing that the neglectful Harry was stepping away from their conversation.

"You're like a brother to Harry, just like how young Stacy's been like a great sister to him. That makes you family to us. And if you ever need anything, just give me a call," Norman said with a genuine smile.

Peter beamed with a nod, appreciating the businessman's heartwarming words.

Elsewhere at the graduation, Mary Jane and Flash were in a midst of their heated argument when they were discussing their plans for their 'future' together.

"... You gotta be kidding me!" Flash exclaimed.

"No, Flash, I'm not kidding you -" MJ back-talked her obnoxious boyfriend, before being cut off.

"But we had everything planned out! About what we were gonna do when we got out of school!" Flash boasted at his stubborn girlfriend.

"Flash, you had everything planned out, not me," MJ angrily pointed out. "I have a career I want to pursue… like acting and... and maybe even fashion-"

"Acting? Fashion?" Flash scoffed. "How about this, MJ: You start acting like my fashion-steady girlfriend, which is what you're supposed to be -"

"You know what the problem is, Flash?" MJ said sharply. "You were too busy listening to yourself to listen to me."

"You are being totally unfair!" Flash shouted.

"I'm sorry you feel that way, Flash," MJ said. "Look, I just… I feel like I want to explore options."

"And what about how I feel? Isn't that at all important?" Flash bristled.

"Flash, it's been nothing but your feelings for years now," MJ prompted. "You don't give a damn about my hopes, my dreams -"

"You?" Flash snorted. "You dream of partying and you hope there's another party after that. What, there's more?"

That was just the last straw for her. Without a single word, Mary Jane just removed the ring off of her finger and shoved it into Flash's hand, officially putting an end to their toxic relationship.

Giving a scorning look in response, Flash just hurled the ring over to the distance, not giving a damn about her anymore. "Fine, whatever," He then simply walked away from his now-ex-girlfriend. "Your lost."

After seeing Flash walking off, Mary Jane just stood there, crying to herself. Even though she finally freed herself from the living shackles that was instilled by her abandoned, despicable father, MJ started to feel the painful emptiness inside as she was left completely alone while the graduating students around her were happily celebrating with their significant others.

"You okay?" Harry appeared from around the corner, making MJ jumped in surprise before she turned to him. "I couldn't help but notice Flash looked kind of pissed off. Is everything okay with—?"

Suddenly, MJ just buried her weeping face into his arms.

Harry was surprised by this sudden notion as he started to feel his heart beating rapidly in his chest by her actions. Nonetheless, Harry wrapped his arms around her back, comforting her.

After finished celebrating the school graduation, the two Parkers arrived back to their home in Forest Hill. As Aunt May walked into the living room, Peter just skipped all the way to the stairs.

Aunt May noticed her nephew's not feeling his high spirit since leaving the graduation. She called out his name, Peter stopped midway up the stairs and turned towards her. "Can I fix you something?"

Peter shook his head. "No thanks," He softly responded.

As she saw her nephew continuing to walk up the stairs to his room alone, Aunt May couldn't help but looked concern for him. She knew what was going through his mind at that moment. For now, she's willing to give him the time and space he needed to be by himself.

Later that night, Peter was sitting on his chair alone in his room, his eyes dropping tears as he still felt responsible for the fact his Uncle Ben never got a chance to see him at his graduation today.

Although he was not directly facing his doorway, Peter could hear Aunt May walking outside of his room. She opened the door slightly, letting herself in before sitting next to her nephew.

"I missed him a lot today," Peter expressed through his sobs.

Aunt May nodded in understanding. "I know. I miss him too. But he was there."

"I can't help thinking about the last thing I said to him. He tried to tell me something important, and I just threw it in his face," Peter said tearfully.

"You loved him, and he loved you," Aunt May placed her hands on Peter's shoulders. "He never doubted the man you'd grow into, how you were meant for great things. You won't disappoint him," She said in reassuring comfort, before walking out of the room to leave Peter to himself.

After being left with some time alone, Peter stood up from his chair and pulled out a small suitcase that was tucked away under his drawers. He opened it, revealing his red makeshift wrestling costume that was neatly folded and resting comfortably inside. Setting it aside, he inspected further in the suitcase's contents, revealing his scrapbook with a portrait of the final costume design he drawn, looking at it as he heard his Uncle Ben's words echoing inside his head.

With great power comes great responsibility. Remember that, Pete. Remember that.

Peter placed the scrapbook down and stood up from the floor, walking to the telephone that was residing on his desk. He dialled the number. After almost half a minute of waiting, someone finally answered the call.

"Hello, this is Gwen speaking."

"Hey, Gwen," Peter responded. "How long did you say takes you to sew the costume I drew again?"

One afternoon inside the Trainer National Bank on the island of Manhattan, one bank manager looked at one of the security guard on duty. "Clint, shut her down."

The security guard nodded and grabbed his keys from his monitoring post. He walked to the entrance doors, opening it as he gave his employer a nice farewell for the day. "Have a good evening."

As he was about close the doors, Clint was caught off-guard when a man in a clean looking suit with a suspicious duffelbag just waltzed right into the bank out of nowhere.

That same man then threw a smoke and EMP grenade into the main interior of the bank. As the grenades send the people inside into a mass panic, he grabbed a gas mask and assault rifle from his bag before knocking the security guard out.

Soon after, three other armed men came inside the bank as well, each with their own gas masks, assault rifles and strange looking cases.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please remain calm!" The man, who turned out be the leading bank robber, threatened the now-panicking hostages with a rifle pointed at them.

Two of the bank robbers approached the bank vault while the other helped the leading man with keeping the panicking customers in check. They then unzipped their bags, taking out a mechanical drill and plunged it into the bank vault doors, puncturing its tough locks. After finally breaking it wide open, they quickly entered the vault, getting the stack of money stored inside.

"It'll all be over in about twenty seconds," The leading bank robber told the customers, as he took out his nine-button Nokia phone to text someone to get ready with picking up the crew.

As the four armed robbers finally emptied all of the money from the vault and into their dufflebags, they ran out of the main interior and gathered at the stairwell. One of them dropped another case, revealing a large grapple hook inside.

One of the bank robbers looked up see the stairwells empty. He then set up the grapple hook, aiming it upwards before shooting the rope to the ceiling, creating a quick escape route.

"Clear!"

The rest of the crew quickly tied their belts to the slingshotted rope, zip-lining themselves sky high. After reaching to the top floor and unhooking the rope, they dropped their gas masks as they ran to the rooftop exit, where the chopper just landed in front of them.

"Like taking a candy from a baby, ha ha," One of the bank robbers said with an exciting wahoo.

The crew quickly hopped onto the chopper, along with their bag of money. They then flew away from the bank, feeling exhilarated that they finally made the biggest score of their lives.

"Sit back and enjoy the ride," The leading bank robber exclaimed excitedly into his co-pilot headset mic.

Although the bank robbers were enjoying their spoiled victory, it was abruptly cut short when they felt the chopper somehow stopped mid-flight. They started panicked as one of them tried to hold on the bag of money, but the bills managed to slip through and were dropping to the streets below.

"Hey, man! Get this thing moving, or we'll be caught!" The leading bank robber shouted at the pilot.

The chopper then suddenly got pulled from behind, sending them flying several of city blocks back until they stopped.

The bank robbers looked outside, exhaling with agitation. The moment they looked out to see what happened, their expressions turned to signs of confusion and anxiety when they saw that their chopper somehow caught in a strangely large web, weaved perfectly right in between two distinctively tall buildings.

From the distance, a man in full spandex suit was looking at the chopper he subdued as it was reflected in his triangular eye lenses. The overall body of the suit was covered in red as the blues were over the underarms that extended to both sides of the chest, back and legs. The thick web patterns were spread around the reds while also sporting two different spider logos; one small black on the front chest and one red with a thick body on the back.

It's the first appearance of your one and only Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

As he turned his focus to a different direction, Spider-Man fired another web from his wrist and leaped forward, swinging throughout the city skylines for the next crime-in-progress.

A/N: We now reached to Spider-Man's first appearance as a hero and just a few steps closer to Mary Jane's origin.

Next chapter will act as another filler. Hopefully, I won't have to keep the waiting long as this and the previous chapter.

On side note, I thought it's best to leave a contribution for those who lost their lives on this day 21 years ago. I hope it doesn't give off as inappropriate or disrespectful. Just always remember, even in times of despair, we can still strive on for the better future. Never Forget 9/11.

With that said, any constructive criticisms and comments would be greatly appreciated. I hope you enjoy reading this chapter.

Reviews:

Rivet94: Thanks, just something I felt would be necessary to establish a connection between the families

DCDGojira: Much appreciated, and thanks for being patient with me

Lover of Marvel: Thanks again for your kind words.

Yeah, it's so awesome to hear that Sam Raimi and the two original actors actually considered returning to their roles. If they plan to do a Raimiverse Parker Family, especially with Mayday Parker as their daughter, that would be a dream come true for me as a SpideyFan.

Sadly, Ned Leeds won't have that much of a crucial role in this universe nor am I considering having him, sorry.

And yeah, I do have some ideas for what I wanted to do for the future fanfics of my Raimi/Making Your Vows Universe. Though I'll say it again, I prefer keeping this universe self-contained to Spider-Man characters I can comfortably write, not wanting to deal with the hassle of other unrelated Marvel characters. Have to keep in mind of the fact this is merely my first fanfic.

As cool to see these guys appear earlier on in their lifecycle, it would've left them completely pointless to be around if they don't have much stakes/importance and can distract you from the story. These type of cameo appearances can work beneficially in a TV Show format and Cinematic Universes, but not so much for strictly solo films, where's the focus mainly on the characters that plays a significant role in them.

Guest 24/8/2022: Thanks for your review.

You have to keep in mind that Sam Raimi didn't have much knowledge on the Venom character before Avi Arad pressured to include him into the third film. I doubt he even knew about Anne Weying after going through a crash course on the Eddie Brock character, let alone considered her as important part of the story. And while I'll won't give too much away for my plans for Spider-Man 3, I have no plans to include her either. Just don't want to spend too much time on a character that doesn't have much crucial role in it.

And... how did you kn... I mean... uh, I don't even know what you're on about, lol

Spider-Reader: Appreciated your generous words.

Honestly, doubtful. At this point in time, Mary Jane and Gwen were already considering their futures, with influences by their loved ones. And even if they eventually looked up to Susan Storm as a role model, it won't have that much impact on them in a long run.

To me, it felt natural that, due to Gwen's father being a Police Captain, he would inform Gwen tragic news, relating to her best friend's relative, which would then led to her telling those closest to the Parkers to be aware and help comfort her in time of need. Without the Stacys' role I put them in, I doubt the Watsons would even know about Ben's passing in a few hours, let alone in the middle of the night.

Guest 26/8/2022: Thanks, dude.

Can't wait to begin Mary Jane's journey in a few chapters.
