The Road to Lomaxford

Now Brad thought that it might be time to head on in his adventure to Lomaxford town. Which is the home of the next gym that would be the fourth gym. Brad would need all eighteen gym badges to even challenge the Pokémon League. The Manji wanted to make sure that trainers to be able to fight against every type including the types that were not found in Manji. Now Brad went up to Scott and asked "Hey Scott is there any way to get to Lomaxford? Without you know going through the graveyard. You know I really do not want to go through their because what happened last night." Scott replies "Uh no I am sorry after seeing the dead rise I could see how you would like to avoid that. I would suggest going through route three which I a straight shot from here to Lomaxford. It would be the fastest route but would still force you to go through the graveyard."

Brad was now on the outskirt of towns having to take deep breaths just to start the adventure. Brad started to walk through the graveyard when it felt like he was being watched. it was at that moment that Brad saw a clear vision of a Ninetales. Which made him speed up his walking because he does not think that he would be able to fight of the undead for ten thousand years. Then while he was running. He hit a Pokémon that was clearly not ready to get smacked by a trainer. It was ready to battle, and Brad raised its Pokédex. Brad did not actually get the information before brad was fully asleep because of its hypnosis attack. That made Brad go to sleep it was bizarre but Brad immediately started to dream. His dreams were more like nightmares though. In the nightmare Brad was being chased by a Ninetales that is decaying and its tails are starting to fall off. One had a leg falling off. Then when Brad was going for his Pokémon his belt was not there and his pants would fall down. As soon as that happened, he would be talking before his class. This nightmare made Brad wake up screaming.

When Brad woke up he was in a crypt. The Pokémon was still watching after him, but it was trying to put him back to sleep to have the nightmares again. It was repeated cycle it seemed that Brad woke up and fell asleep again five different times. Then brad realized when he was awake he actually did have his Pokémon on his belt. So, he snuck his hand to his belt, and his Gengar was summoned. The Gengar landed a shadow ball on the Pokémon that gave Brad enough time to stand up. He searched the Pokédex again for this Pokémon. This time the Pokédex pointed out that this was Drowzee and the Pokémon loved to eat the dreams of children, and apparently this one a had a affinity for the nightmares of kids.

Then Drowzee tried to get a Psychic attack on Gengar but instead Gengar licked Drowzee. Which paralyzed the Drowzee. This gave Gengar the opening to put Drowzee into it own hypnosis. Then Gengar used Nightmare to get revenge on the Drowzee that loved eating kids' nightmares. In this dream that Drowzee was having it was clear that the world was full of grown adults. There were no kids to be found in the world. There was no joy in this world. The Drowzee was hungry and could not eat the dreams of children that would fill his belly. It was at that moment that the nightmares of the Drowzee left its mind and was not left with either good or bad but something in between. The world was all blank, and nothingness. The dreams of Drowzee never came to fruition it was just the sadness that in this dream world there was no hope, sadness, good, evil up, down, left, or right. It was all just empty. It felt like a eternity until the Drowzee woke up in the crypt seeing Brad the kid who had his dreams eaten. The battle raged forward, and Drowzee fell right back to the sleep this time it was a world filled with joy and happiness. Drowzee could eat all of the dreams that it wanted to eat from all the kids, and Pokémon. Then it turned evil, and joyless. Then it turned to the blankness again. This repeated until the battle was over, and Brad caught the Drowzee.

After this battle Brad hurried to the town of Lomaxford. It was in hopes that he would not get caught about another Pokémon and tortured by another Pokémon. Which seemed to be the trend here recently. Now Brad made it to the Trainer Club in Lomaxford. Scott welcomed Brad "Hi I am Scott, the second first cousin thrice removed, of the Scott in Anderson. Who are you?" Brad responded, "I am Brad I am a trainer from Davison I want to be the Champion and the Head Trainer at the Trainer Club the title has never held by one person." Scott said "Your name is what now? Brad you can't be the boy that left Anderson about a week ago." Brad confused said "I left Anderson just today." Scott with a sorry filled look says "We have been looking for you for a week. We thought Team Ancient had captured you again. Hayden and Michael are out looking for you they have raided like three Team Ancient outposts. We did not want them to, but you know they are a bit touched in the head." Brad then realizes what happened and says "I got attacked by a Drowzee that I caught. It must have kept me in that crypt for seven days. I knew I was hungry but not I have not eaten in seven days hungry. Imagine I just kept it there for twenty minutes trying to weaken it with hypnosis nightmare and dream eater." Scott replied "Training Pokémon is serious business. I am sorry that happened to you. I will tell the police that we found you and let Hayden and Michael know they do not have to attack Team Ancient anymore."

A few of hours after Brad had made it to the Trainer Club his watch started to ring. It was from Professor Cypress with Michael and Hayden tagged on the call. The first thing that Brad here is "we are really glad that you are okay" from both Hayden and Michael. The Professor Cypress said "I have heard of the grave news of what you have been going through for the past week. While your Drowzee has been here it has started to bully the other Pokémon it beat about thirty of your Pokémon mainly the weak ones. Like your newly Machop or Bulbasaur. He has evolved and had a Drowzee egg. I am locking him in the high-level PC. I just wanted to make sure that he would not get out and do what he did to you to anyone else." Michael said "What was it like to live in your own nightmares for a week. Well mainly it was just Ninetales chasing me around because the day before in a very real event a Ninetales raised the dead around me. So, it was mainly that and me standing in my underwear before a class of people." Michael said, "At least we can joke about the second one right?" Brad commented "SURE I guess it is better than mocking me for being afraid of a Ninetales. By the way Professor how did the Drowzee do all of that in so little time?" Professor Cypress explained "Well I did not know what happened at first, so it was running around free with all the other Pokémon. It took about five hours before I heard the news about you. So, it was just running around free. Apparently, it was even extreme for Ditto. I am sorry I might have said to much. I have to get off this call. Just letting you know about your Pokémon, Brad." Then the phone call ended, and all was quite in Brad's world.

The Mystery of the Stolen Pokémon

Then Brad, Hayden and Michael met in Lomaxford town for a bit of fun. They went to the Day Care center to talk about how best to raise their Pokémon. Hayden had raised a Squirtle all the way to Blastoise a Cubone to Marowak and his new Pokémon a talking Meowth but it only says Title nine for some odd reason. Michael's Charizard and Nidoking were both super strong now and he added another Pokémon Electrode. The bang that it made when exploded made him happy, and felt more free every time he saw it. Now as they were walking the fence next to the Pokémon Day Care Center they saw mysterious caped man inside the pin with the Pokémon. Now it did not seem like they were supposed to be there but Brad was not a snitch. The trio were talking about their grand adventures. Apparently the two boys had ransacked multiple Team Ancient hideout and also been offered the job to whip the grunts in shape. Neither of them said that they would take the job. Even if Morrim were to give them a million dollars.

Now something happened that was really strange and that the three boys would never really remember in full. The boys were all attacked from behind and they were all knocked out for a short period of time. When they woke up they were inside the Pokémon Day Care. The Detective said "Excellent you are awake. We need to ask you some questions some questions about a stolen Pokémon egg." Now Brad was confused still. The three boys did not remember what happened right before the attack. The detective "what were you doing outside of the fence of the Day Care Center today?" Brad jokingly says "I don't know maybe trying to talk with the Pokémon Day Care owners about how to raise Pokémon. What else would I come this way for?" The detective said, "Are you sure that you three were not trying steal Pokémon eggs from this unsuspecting old couple?" Brad said "Woah I am many things, but I am not a thief. There was a suspicious dude that was in a cape in the pin when we walked by.

Then the Detective interrogates Hayden "What were you doing outside of the fence of the Day Care Center today?" Hayden says "Look I have been interrogated before by much worse men than you. I hope you don't think you will get anything out of me." The detective gives him a weird look. "Can you tell Michael and Brad I said it like that. Honestly we were just coming to talk with the owners of the Day Care." Said Hayden. The Detective then says, "Are you sure that you three were not trying steal Pokémon eggs from this unsuspecting old couple?" Hayden retorts "Why would we steal Pokémon eggs we could just ask professor Cypress nicely, and he would help us get the Pokémon we want."

Finaly the Detective interrogates Michael. The detective says "What were you doing outside of the fence of the Day Care Center today?" Michael replies "Micheal Micheal Michael Michael" while waving his arms around for emphasis. Then the detective asks Are you sure that you three were not trying steal Pokémon eggs from this unsuspecting old couple?" Michael replies "Michael Michael Michael Michael" with even more furious hand motions this time.

Now all of the suspects were in the room it was Brad, Michael, Hayden a Team Ancient grunt, a little kid and Tyrus. Now it was clear that Tyrus was the boy in the cape. It was clear to brad that Tyrus was the criminal because he had stolen the Lickitung that he hated in the last battle that he had with Brad in Davison. Brad said "Check this guy I saw him out in th pin. I bet you he was trying to steal a Pokémon egg. That is actually how he got his Lickitung. Now isn't it?" Tyrus rolled his eyes "The only Pokémon that I have is my Lickitung and Dratini but I got Dratini back in Anderson." Brad said "SURE you did that is what you would say if you stole it right here from the Pokémon Day Care." The detective was writing everything that Brad said down because it seemed like he was really smart. "Wouldn't be an egg if I just stole it to day you noob?"

Then the Team Ancient grunt was on trial "What were you doing here? I can see a Team ANCIENT from a mile away." The grunt said "well I was trying to steal Pokémon, but have you ever been through Team Ancient training it sucks. I think that we would be more aware if you just beat us over the head with a pipe. Now failing at stealing or capturing Pokémon is not a crime. I will not go to jail for anything more than trespassing." The detective said, "Are you sure that you have not committed some act of terrorism like planting a bomb on the site?" Tyrus says loudly "I wish that would sure speed things up from this awful detective work that we see here. Give me a pat down and just let me go I did not steal the freaking egg. I just want to go free and train my Pokémon to be the greatest Pokémon master make a lot of money, and maybe date nice girl." That was when Tyrus did something unexpected he jumped out of the window, and summoned Dratini to catch him.

That did not work though because Michael flew on his Charizard caught up with him and threw him back in the Pokémon Daycare no harm done. The detective speculates "Now why would someone not want to be investigated by the police. Would it be that you think that I am suspicious of you. I AM SUPICIOUS OF YOU! I A SPUPISCIOUS OF ALL YOU!" The detective then starts to question Tyrus "Why are you so ready to risk you legs by jumping out the second story of this building if they were not guilty of something?" "Probably because you make watching paint dry look fun. Hey, would you mind if I called you nickname something insane like Gimble." Said Tyrus. The Offended officer said, "No you may not call me Gimble." Tyrus said "Okay Gimble" The detective said "Were you the one that planted this note while you were trying to flee? The Note says that missing egg will not ever be found. I will be the bestest trainer in the whole world." Tyrus retorted that I would have better grammar and handwriting than that.

Then another great distraction happened that the Team Ancient grunt tried to battle Brad but Brad's Venasaur knocked out all of his Omanyte in the a single go. Then the detective said "Well why would you try to attack another suspect unless you were trying to hide something?" The grunt just said "Hey he looked to be off his guard and I wanted to take advantage of that. It was nothing to do with all this crazy stuff over here."

Then Tyrus screamed "I did it okay I knocked these three guys out. I do not like them. They are boring and terrible. I am the true villain of the series. I should truly think that you three should be defeated by me. I was the one to knock both of you out but I am so bored!" The detective said "Now tell me where the egg is and you can go free. The trainer will be wanting his Pokémon back." Tyrus said I don't know anything about the Pokémon egg. I didn't steal it because nothing out there was worth stealing. I only like dragon Pokémon I have the only one in Manji so I did not steal the Pokémon."

It was at that time something quite strange happened the owner of the Pokémon came around to the Daycare Center to pick it up. The trainer "Hey did my Buterfree lay any eggs while I was gone to work today." The owner "Why yes but someone has stolen the egg from the Pokémon. I am very sorry to tell you this news. That is fine I promised it to that youngster that works with you every day anyways." The owner says, "Well Timmy do you have the egg?" Timmy responds with "Yes, I have the egg. I hid it when the detective came because I was scared. I knew the Pokémon was mine, but it seemed like the scary detective was going to take him away." The detective said "Oh well the Pokémon egg was already yours, and the trainer said you could keep it. I guess case closed! Now you two come with me." That is when both the grunt for Team Ancient, and Tyrus fled the scene and would not be found again by the quite useless detective.

The Battle for Lomaxford

Now when Brad, Michael and Hayden all stayed in the same room at the Trainer Club that night. It had been a while since they had seen each other and the other two boys thought that they may not fall into bad luck like Brad if they were all together. That is when they were woken up by the sound of sirens. "Dear citizens of Lomaxford. Please stay in your homes. We are currently under attack from Team Ancient. If you do not have a place to stay please go to the Trainer Club." Michael suggested "Well we aren't going to just sit here and do nothing. I mean out of all the people in Manji I think we have the most experience fighting Team Ancient. We should be out there fighting. We could ride our Charizard, Brad. Then We could give orders to Hayden on the ground." Scott then comes in and tells the boys that the Ponos Thana and Morrim are attacking Lomaxford from different sides. As far as they can tell it Thana from the mountain, Ponos from cycling road, and Morrim from the… graveyard.

Both Brad and Michael take flight on their Charizard. Now it seemed like the adults were taking care of the front of Thana on the mountain. The gym leader named Crimson was taking on Ponos to the north on cycling road. It was easier since they could barricade the way in and attack from behind the barricade. That left one front truly under protected the south front in the Graveyard with Morrim.

When the trio got to the graveyard the Charizard took on heavy fire from Omanyte. They used rock throw and made it hard to take the advantage of the sky. So, Brad decided to land and take the battle on the ground with Hayden. Now that Brad was on the ground, he got Venasaur to have heavy fire with Razor leaf on Omanyte to stop them from knocking Michael out of the air. The trio could see Morrim and Morrim screamed at them "I get to fight you three just like I desired you are going to be defeated and carted off to a prison where you will not be released. With all three of you no at the prison. No one will be coming for you." Brad took down a lot of the Omanyte but it was clear that these two were expecting Hayden's Blastoise and Brad's Venasaur. It was when they started making way with the Omanyte and Kabuto that about fifty Caterpie jumped on Venasaur and started to use Bug Bite attack which was super effective. That is when Kabutops used rain dance to make the Omanyte, and Kabuto more powerful. At least that is what Brad and Hayden thought, but as soon as Hayden was going to use a superpower hydro Pump Blastoise was jumped by ten Pikachu and they all used thunder. The two Pokémon had to be returned because of the damage that was taken.

Now Brad and the gang did not expect that Team ancient would change their strategy because of obsessive time that they have used the same attack. In this they did not know what to expect for the man that wanted them to call him Death in the ancient language he truly was a piece of work.

Now it was sure that they would not win in the same way that they did in previous times. So, Hayden used his secret weapon Snorlax! Now Brad used his Primeape to get many Pokémon in a quick time. Rock types are weak to fighting type moves. Hayden's Snorlax started to full on body all of the Pokémon with Body Slam. It was clearly a great strategy because of the great width of its body. Then it was clear that Primeape was good at taking on the Omanyte and Snorlax was good at defeating the other Pokémon traps that Morrim had imagined.

Now Morrim was much closer to the two boys than at first. It was clear that it was going to be a battle with the once and future king Morrim. So that Brad headed to the fight. First Morrim called out a Kabutops that was defeated in one hit of a Mach punch attack. This meant that Morrim was at the disadvantage. "Ha boy I have been keeping up with you. I bet you like these Pokémon that I have to fight you." Then he threw two Pokémon out at once which was not what Brad was expecting. It was a Ninetales and a Drowzee. Now at that moment Brad started to breath extremely fast. It was clear that he was not happy to be anywhere near these Pokémon. Now Brad started giving hurried orders with a angry tone. "Primeape hit Ninetales with a Mach punch attack. NOW!" It looked like Brad had gone for a swim because of the layer of sweat that was piling on his shirt.

It was at that moment that Hayden and Michael agreed that brad should retreat, but brad was not having it. He wanted to fight the mean person that made him face his fears. It was clear that Brad did not want to lose this fight. It was at that moment that Drowzee used Psychic on Primeape and it was knocked out Brad tried to use another Pokémon but Brad felt the grab of a Charizard. While Brad was flying on Michael's Charizard he saw something it was Snorlax getting attacked but twenty Mankey using low kick and Hayden being captured. It was all his fault because emotions got in his way Hayden had been captured by Team Ancient.

Bard screamed at Michael "Hayden is getting captured what are you doing! We have to save Hayden. We cannot let him be captured by team Ancient. Michael you are going an idiot. You need to drop me right not so that we could save Hayden. What are you doing?" Michael was in tears he was getting choked up because of the mean words of Brad but also because his friend was captured. Once at the Trainer Club Michael dropped Brad off amongst the wounded Pokémon and people. Brad yelled "I am not injured I can still fight." Michael warned Scott that the south of Lomaxford was undefended and that they could not hold off Morrim.

The Aftermath

Once the battle for Lomaxford was over it was not simple. Many different houses had been damaged a curfew was installed and it seemed like everything was not normal. Brad had only gotten out of bed to eat for multiple days. He did not even check on his Pokémon all that much. They were fed but they could have used a bit more enrichment on those days. It had been at least three days before Michael came to visit Brad. Michael said, "Hey how you doing?" Brad said "I have not felt like a whole person since I lost at the battle to Morrim. It was something that seems to be constantly on my mind on the last couple of days. I um I mean um I am sorry for what I said to you. Have they found… him?" Michael sadly said "No they have been looking for him, but they could not find the base that they are holding him at. Also, apology accepted we were in dire straits. I could not even go back after that."

"I heard that Crimson was already doing gym battle again. If you want to battle him." Michael said. "I don't think that I can I have been so sad lately. I have not even taken a shower in a couple days because it just seemed like to big of a task to get done on my low energy." Michael said "That is tough buddy. I think you need something to make you feel better. Now I do not recommend this all the time but right out of Lomaxford is cycling road. The reason for the cycling road is there is a dangerous Tauros herd under there. Sometimes we like to run in front of the Tauros for a little extreme fun. You should come with me for a little fun." It was then that Brad fell for the distraction a decided to go for a run with Michael and the Tauros.

It was a terrible thing that happened to the town it was clear that something significant had happened here. Every other building was being used as a hospital. The buildings that were not being used as hospitals had been destroyed. There was a Machamp with three broke arms. A Venasaur that got caught in its own vines. Then there was a Tangela that had a Omanyte in its vine. The people were no better than the Pokémon. So, it was not a good situation in Lomaxford. It seemed that Team Ancient was attacking Lomaxford mainly for the publicity. It seemed that if they wanted to conquer the world or the Manji region they just wanted to start here. At least that was what the people of Lomaxford thought.

That was until the two passed the museum which said that Team Ancient stole the crown of the once past king. The legend said that if all of the items come together the wearer would be the future king of Manji. The other items that he would need to get the power was the scepter, the cape, the gauntlets, the boots and the breast plate. If a person would put all together the pieces of the king they would be able to fight of any attack. Now this was alarming for the boys to hear but they were not sure that they believed in all of that Hocus Pocus. So they kept going towards the pasture of Tauros.

When they made it to the pasture they were stopped by two rather large men. "Hey no one is allowed to pass. We are trying to insure that no Team Ancient people still retreating from Lomaxford. Hopefully we can have free traffic in a couple days, but until then you two are going to have to stay at the refugee camp at the Trainer Club. The two boys were disappointed that they could not go Tauros running that is when they decided to do something wild.

The two boys jumped on their different Charizard and sped right over the two men's heads and they landed right in the middle of the pasture. That is when the Tauros saw the two they looked at each other and sprinted in the other direction. While they were running Michael looked at Brad and said "Can I be honest with you? I have never done Tauros running before." In that moment was the funniest thing that he could have said because it was simply the worst situation to get themselves into but with the best of friends minus one of course. Now when the Tauros got a good bit nearer to them. Brad used Primeape to knock down two of them. Both of the were knocked out, and Brad and Michael added then to their team. A memory of the time they went Tauros running.

Now the patriarch of the herd did not like the fact that Brad and Michael just captured two of his herd. That meant that they had to start running again. They were starting to get tired from all of the running. Now the problem came when they did not know how to stop Tauros running. It was abundantly clear how to get started Tauros running but how stop was not as clear. So they tried to fly on their Charizard but they were knocked out the air by the Tauros. Then they tried to take on all the Tauros at once but that was to on avail because there was to many Tauros. Now Brad and Michael kept running again until Brad fell on what would look like manhole cover. Michael also fell on the manhole cover. So the Tauros was getting closer so Michael and Brad hid in the manhole. They believe that they would find a sewer in the manhole but that was not nearly what they found. I was dark room with many different Omanyte statues. Brad climbed back up the ladder. He took a good look at the manhole cover. It was clear that it had the ancient A on the lid. They both looked at each other like you don't think. It couldn't actually be that right. Now they were certain that there was great chance that they had found the secret base where Hayden was being held.

Under Ground Beat Down

Now Brad and Michael knew that they were in trouble, but they were not going to let Hayden to suffer. He had been suffering long enough. Now Brad and Michael took a good look about the hallway that they found themselves in. Michael leaned on one of the Omanyte statues. That is when the grunts tried to attack the two boys. They used three Omanyte each. Primeape then used Karate chop on all of them. The problem is that Primeape landed the blow in front of another Omanyte statue that sent a another grunt their way. That is when Michael's Marowak use Boomerang on all the Pokémon of that grunt.

Now Brad had an idea "Alright you want to get a little bit crazy Michael?" Michael responded "Always!" Then they both summoned their newly captured Tauros. Which had calmed down significantly since they had captured them. They both jumped on their Tauros and for every Pokémon that popped out there was another headbutt attack to knock them out. At the end of the hallway was a door that let them into a wide open room where they were using electric Pokémon to power the base that was pretty big.

Now this room had three different exits. The two boys did not which way to go to find Hayden. Now Brad and Michael were not comfortable with doing this, but Brad pinned one of the scientists in the room to the wall. "Where is the detention center? Where can I find my friend?" cried Brad. "I don't know what you are talking about there is not a detention here." That was when Michael pulled out his Charizard. "You don't have a detention center? Well, that was the only thing that was stopping me from burning this place to the ground. Also, we were underground so I do not know how that will work." Said Michael. Now Brad the other scientists were starting to attack with Grimer and Koffing which got completely destroyed by Michael's Charizard.

It was simple after their Pokémon had been knocked out Brad's and Michael's Pokémon started to grab the scientist and throw them into certain corner of the room. "Which way is your leader if there is no detention center?" asked Brad. The scientist cowered before the two boys that took out the guards and the scientist. Brad screamed "ANSWER ME!" One scientist said "Go straight you will go past the lunchroom, and then you will be in the throne room. The detention room is behind the throne room because the king does not like prisoners that get lost."

That is when Michael heard Pokémon cries from both other exits. That is when Brad and Michael ran to separate doors and started to crush the crates that the Pokémon were in. This caused a great distraction to everything that was going to happen. That is when the Pokémon broke into the generator room, and freed the electric type of Pokémon. The Pokémon flooded out into the hall and spewed out the manhole cover to get into the base. Brad then saw a belt and bag in the room with all the Pokémon it was Hayden's stuff.

Now the two boys barreled through the lunch room, and started running towards the throne room where they knew they would find Morrim. Now when in the throne room Morrim was sitting upon the throne of the hideout. "Ha you have finally made it to find your friend. Well I think I know how to beat you two. Then you will be my slaves no better than the Pokémon that I use to serve me." It was in that moment that he used Ninetales and Drowzee. Brad started to have another panic attack. He was frozen. That is when Michael grabbed Hayden's belt and threw out Blastoise. Michael said "I know I am not your trainer, but Hayden is behind that throne. Help us to win this fight. Blastoise use Hydro Pump." Then Ninetales was knocked out by the Hydro Pump and Blastoise followed up with a crunch attack on Drowzee. Aerodactyl and Omastar then came out and Charizard took down Aerodactyl. While Primeape took down Kabutops. That was the end of Morrim's party, and he used a emergency exit.

Now Brad and Michael walked to the back of the throne room. He went behind the throne and there he was. Hayden had finally been found now the only problem was to get out of the hide out. Blastoise got really excited to se Hayden and met him with a big hug. Now the trio started their way out which was a lot easier than they had planned for. When they had let all of the Pokémon go from the hideout. It created a great build up of Pokémon right outside of the hideout. Which then got people's attention which made the police come and arrest all of the grunts and scientist. Which really sped up the problem of getting out of the hideout.

"Hey Hayden, can you forgive me for you getting captured?" asked Brad. "well we were all fighting for Lomaxford. What a long week it has been. I will forgive you we fought, and we knew what would happen. I forgive you two for getting me kidnapped." Brad said "Well I wonder what terrible thing will happen to Michael. Now that it has happened to the two of us." Both of them looked at them and laughed at the inappropriate joke. Hayden said "Hey Brad Professor Cypress breeds Pokémon for you. Would you mind trading me a breeded Bulbasaur from your Venasaur? I will trade you breeded version of Snorlax." Brad said "Sure I think that could be done. Why is that something that you want?" Hayden explained "Oh it is because if I ever see another Omanyte, Omastar Kabuto, or Kabutops I will kill it." So they sent the Pokémon to Professor Cypress bred them and traded the Pokémon.

The Tournament of Lomaxford

Now the time had come where the damage of Lomaxford was mostly taken care of. The townspeople wanted to have a tournament with all of the people that fought in the battle. The problem was the grand scale of the people that fought in the battle was very great so the tournament had to take a different form. It started with pods of three and each trainer fought a one-on-one battle against the other two in to pod. If you win you get two points. For a draw one point. Finally, if you lose you got zero points. The trainers would keep going in this until there was on final pod left. The winner of the final pod would win the tournament.

In the first pod that Brad was in was two different trainers that fought on the north front near cycling road. The first battle was Brad versus a trainer that used a Golem. Brad used Venasaur. Brad started out with a leech seed attack on Golem to make its life come to Venasaur. Then Golem started to use rollout to Venasaur but was met with a vine whip attack. The vine whip attack threw the Golem off course, and then it lost health to leech seed. Then Brad shot a razor leaf attack to Golem. With this attack Golem fainted and Brad one two points towards the tournament pod.

The next battle was between the two trainers. Which came to a fight between Machamp and Wigglytuff. Wigglytuff used hyper voice in the ear of Machamp when it was trying to land a cross chop. Then a dynamic punch that would land, and Wigglytuff used Dazzling gleam. Then Machamp hit him with a string of bullet punches, and Wigglytuff came out and kissed Machamp. Which sucked Machamp's life with a draining kiss attack. Now this caused the Pokémon to fall down at the same time. The referee called the battle, and it was a draw. That gave both of them one point to the pod.

Then Brad used Charizard for the final fight of the pod. The other trainer used a Nidoking. The first thing that happened was Nidoking jumped into action with a Megahorn attack. Charizard dodged and hit Nidoking with a flamethrower attack. Nidoking planted its feet in the ground and took a hard hitting stance. When Charizard was about sweep Nidoking down with wing attack. Nidoking used stomp and had Charizard under its foot. That is when Charizard mouth started to seem like a flamethrower, but it turned into fire blast attack that leveled Nidoking. Which won Brad the match and let him go to the next pod.

The next pod had two trainer that fought on the east front of the battle. The two had viciously defeated many of the grunts. The first trainer used a Magneton and the second us Dodrio. The Dodrio was really fast and the peck attacks were obviously how it defeated its enemies in battle. Magneton started with a lock on attack. Which was a truly amazing move because Magneton then used thunder and Dodrio fell down, and out of the battle.

The trainer with the Magneton faced Brad next. He used a Scyther when Brad used a Alakzam. Then Alakzam started with a future sight attack that could hit its opponent later. Then Alakzam used Psychic on Scyther that slowed Scyther form attacking. Scyther then broke through the Psychic attack, and used fury cutter on Alakzam which was a super effective attack. Then Alakzam used Psyshock to attack Scyther. Then Scyther hit with a slash attack and then a wing attack. Alakzam was not looking good. Scyther then got hit with an attack, and fainted. The future sight attack finally took place.

Then Brad was up against Dodrio girl. Brad used Gengar to fight their Mr. Mime. Mr. Mime started off with a psychic attack that hurt Gengar greatly. Then Gengar went for a shadow ball attack that landed on Mr. Mime. Mr. Mime started setting up barriers every where. It made it really hard Gengar to get another shadow ball attack. Then Brad consistently hitting the Barriers that one disappeared and that hit Mr. Mime. Gengar started to use toxic and that made Mr. Mime take damage slowly. It started to get weaker and weaker. Then Mr. Mime used future sight attack. Brad started to speed up the battle to avoid that fate. Using a close up shadow ball attack, but Mr. Mime used barrier just at the right moment. The poison was getting to Mr. Mime, but it seemed determined to win the battle. Mr. Mime used thunder punch on Gengar, and that gave it moderate damage. That is when two things happened at once after the thunder punch Mr. Mime succumbed to the Poison while Gengar fainted because of future sight. Brad advanced with three points.

In this grouping one pod had to have four people, but that was not Brad's pod. Brad started fighting a girl that used Eevee. Brad returned to using Charizard. Charizard immediately grabbed Eevee and flew towards the sky for seismic toss. This did not work because Eeve landed on its feet and then used quick attack to Charizard. Charizard then hit back with flamethrower attack. Eevee then used sand attack to stop the fire. It landed in Charizard's eyes which made it use fire everywhere. Then Eevee did double kick attack. Charizard still missed. Eevee followed with a quick attack. Then Charizard had finally gotten all of the sand out its eye, and then when Eevee used quick attack Brad used wing attack to beat the Eevee.

The next battle Brad used Pikachu the other trainer used Gyardos. Gyardos was quick using hyper beam, and the recharge period was really quick. Pikachu was using quick attack to dodge the hyper beams. Then it hit Gyardos with a uppercut with iron tail. Which knocked it off its guard. Pikachu followed up with quick attack. Then Gyardos got its revenge with a quick Aqua tail. This put Pikachu on the ground which it leapt off of and hit Gyardos with another iron tail. Then Pikachu got on top of Gyardos, and it started to flail to get Pikachu off. Pikachu jumped off of Gyardos with a iron tail to get farther away from Gyardos. Gyardos then used aqua tail on Pikachu again, but it did not really do any effect on Pikachu because of the type of matchup. That is when the two Pokémon started to fight with aqua tail and iron tail like it was sword fight. Pikachu did a move that would curl it up and got an iron tail on the inside of Gyardos body. Then Gyardos did something that would be considered a very arrogant move, or just a really big blunder. Gyardos used rain dance that was something that water Pokémon did not usually do against water Pokémon. That was because as soon as the rain started to fall. Pikachu used quick attack to get up close and personal with Gyardos knowing that the battle was Pikachu. Pikachu grabbed Gyardos and used thunder knocking out Gyardos and moving Brad to the next pod.

Now first place and last place were going to fight. The second place and second to last would fight. Then two three person pods would get a bye to the semifinals. Brad was labeled as third from the last place so he is but in a three person pod. So the winners of the pods would fight the winners of the other second place match would fight the winner of Brad's pod. They would in the finals the other side of the bracket which had one battle and a pod. It was a weird tournament but it happen in Manji from time to time. The last pod was weirdly all the fighters from the south front. Which meant that Brad, Michael and Hayden were going to battle.

For this battle Brad started with one of his new Pokémon Snorlax, and Hayden used Bulbasaur. The Bulbasaur that was newly hatched from Brad's Venasaur. Now Brad's Pokémon was the one that Hayden had traded for Bulbasaur. So Bulbasaur tried to trip Snorlax with vine whip. Snorlax went down with a great rumble. That is when Bulbasaur hit Snorlax with leech seed. It was a quick movements for Bulbasaur because it knew that Snorlax could win with attacks, but not agility. Snorlax took thirteen years to get up. Its arms got trapped with a vine whip attack and Snorlax used body slam on Bulbasaur. Then Bulbasaur gained health from leech seed. Snorlax then used yawn to get the enemy tired. It works and Bulbasaur falls asleep, and Snorlax used body slam again, but Bulbasaur gained all its health back. Snorlax used rest. Then Bulbasaur jumped above Snorlax and used Razor leaf. Then he jumps over Snorlax again to put on more leech seeds. That made Snorlax give even more health to Bulbasaur. With the influx of health Bulbasaur started to light up in the bulb. Then let out a roaring solar beam attack on Snorlax. Snorlax finally wakes up and gets up to attack Bulbasaur, but the leech seed finally takes out Snorlax giving Hayden two points and Brad none.

Then Hayden and Michael had a match. Michael threw out Charizard first so Hayden smiled and used his Blastoise. Then Charizard used flamethrower to get near Blastoise. Blastoise counters the attack with water gun. Charizard goes to grab Blastoise, but Blastoise used withdraw at the right time. Michael's Charizard then gets in a few dragon claws to hurt Blastoise health. Blastoise got Charizard off of him with a water gun attack. Then used rapid spin to keep the momentum towards Hayden's side. Charizard gives Blastoise a uppercut with dragon claw. Charizard caught Blastoise shell, and Blastoise used withdraw. When the pair was considerably in the air Blastoise came out of its shell with a Blastoise gun to the heart of Charizard. That is when Blastoise used Hydro pump on Charizard for direct hit. Blastoise was dropped to falling in the air and landed safely because of rapid spin. Charizard was knocked out. There was no need for another battle between Michael and Brad because Hayden was going to advance either way.

Hayden advanced to the next round which was also a one Pokémon one on one. The other trainer used Golem. While Hayden used Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur uses leach seed to start off the battle. Then Bulbasaur uses toxic. Then Golem used earthquake attack. This trainer was quite reckless to use this in the battle, and knocked out many Pokémon on his side. The earth quake attack fell short because of the double status conditions. Then Bulbasaur used vine whip to make its condition worse. Then Golem used rollout which hit Bulbasaur with a furry. Then it hit again with a still burning passion. Bulbasaur started to dodge the rollout attacks which caused great damage to the Golem because of the status condition. The quickness of Bulbasaur really was going to be what decided the match this time. Golem used earthquake to throw off Bulbasaur from it continuous attacks but Bulbasaur used vine whip to clear Golem at that moment. Then Golem started to rollout and Bulbasaur then used a Razorleaf until the last moment then jumped in the air right before rollout hit. This when Golem stopped rollout and was knocked out of the match sending Hayden to the finals of the tournament.

In the finals Hayden used his Marowak versus a girl that Brad thought was cute her name was Kimber. Kimber used her Flareon to fight Marowak. Hayden started the battle by bonking Flareon on the head with Boomerang. Flareon returned with quick attack to get closer to Marowak. Then Marowak used bone club to knock back Flareon. Then Flareon started to use flamethrower to make an area around it. Marowak jumped in and attacked with Bone Club for the super effective attack. Then Flareon took a bite out of Marowak with a bite attack. Flareon then followed up the shock with a Fire Blast attack. Then Marowak did a dramatic planting of one foot. Then the other foot. After that he planted its bone weapon on the ground for an earthquake attack. This made Flareon pass out and made Hayden the winner of the tournament.

"There it is folks! The boy that probably lost the most in the battle has become the champion of the tournament! The boy will get ten thousand Club dollars and move up in the Trainer club Ranks. Now kid do you have anything to say to the crowd in your moment of triumph?" said Scott. Hayden replied "I want to make a serious statement. When I was taken by Team Ancient, I was tortured. I was hit with water gun multiple times. I was held down and submerged in water until the exact moment I was about to die and then brought back. I want you to know that I never gave up. We should never give up in the fight. We should keep going even when Team Ancient attack. We have all stood in the face of battle and fought Team Ancient. Team Ancient is a serious problem. If you do not believe me look around at what they did to your city. We must all raise our fight against Team Ancient. They seemed to be getting some ancient items that would give them immense power to take over our region and the world. Therefore, let us lock those items under lock and key, and fight Team Ancient. Thank you!"

"Bold words Hayden. I think that you motivated the people of Manji today! Congrats on winning the tournament. I think that you have been training that Bulbasaur that I traded you." Braad said. Hayden said "Thanks for that I have been training viciously since I have been kidnaped. If I am strong that won't happen again." Brad responded "You do not have to be strong. You have us as friends we are not going to let that happen to you again."

The Lomaxford Gym

The day after the tournament Brad went to the Lomaxford gym, and he challenged the leader. "Hi my name is Crimson. I am the gym leader. Here we specialize in water type Pokémon. I hope for the best possible fight today. We fight in a six-on-six battle here in Lomaxford. Does that sound good to you?" Brad responded, "I would love to take you on in a full-on battle."

The start of the battle was Starmie versus Brad's Venasaur. Now Starmie landed a swift attack on Venasaur. Then a water pulse attack, another swift attack, another water pulse, and a another swift. Venasaur was getting hit with an onslaught of attacks but it was clear that it had not taken any real damage. That is when Venasaur shot one Razor leaf at Starmie. The one razor leaf knocked out Starmie. Crimson was simply shocked by the power of Venasaur.

Then Crimson sent out Golduck. In this battle Golduck got Venasaur off the ground with a psychic attack. Then it became clear that it was way to much for Golduck. The weight of Venasaur made Golduck give up on the attack. Golduck then tried to leap out of the pool and hit Venasaur with a hydro pump attack. Now Venasaur started to charge its sunlight in the bulb on its back. That is when Golduck shot over the back of Venasaur and was destroyed by a devastating solar beam attack. This made Venasaur knock out two of Crimson's Pokémon and still have almost all of its health to battle.

Now Crimson used Slowbro which started the battle by yawning a big yawn. That made Venasaur very sleepy, and it did not want to fight. Venasaur wanted a big nap. In the middle island where Venasaur was it took a big nap. That is when Slowbro started to slowly move toward the center island. It jumped off the starting platform and started to swim. Now while it was swimming Venasaur was still in the depths of sleep. Now Slowbro did not swim very fast but for a water type Pokémon you would have thought that it would have been a good bit faster. Then Slowbro rolled on the island and gave a great sigh of relief. That is when Venasaur woke up. Venasaur swatted the Slowbro back to the water. The same thing happened again and again until Slowbro finally was knocked out.

Crimson said under his breath "Dang that is most of my good Pokémon." That is when he used a Krabby to fight. Krabby the jumped into the water and made it to Venasaur in no time flat. That is when a series of Vice grip attacks were landed on Venasaur. Venasaur tried to use vine whips to get the Krabby that kept dodging the miraculously big vines. Then Krabby did swords dance while dodging the attack. One dodge then swords dance. Second dodge then swords dance attack. Third dodge then swords dance attack. This made the metal claws more painful when they landed. That is when Krabby cleared the bulb of Venasaur and Venasaur captured Krabby with leech seed. Then the Krabby fell into the water that sucked its life and gave Venasaur health. Which knocked out the Krabby.

Crimson then said "Sorry for the bad taste, but I am going to use this Pokémon. Go Omastar!" Then Omastar came out simply something that was tragic because he probably took it as spoils of the battle. Omastar started with rain dance to strengthen the water moves. Before it got one hydro pump though Venasaur had already landed a razor leaf attack on Omastar and that was it. Omastar was already out of the battle in the falling rain.

Crimson then used Magikarp in the battle. "I usually win by this point but I am not giving up!" That is when Magikarp felt the hope of Crimson and evolved into Gyardos. That is when Brad called back Venasaur and used his Pikachu. Pikachu used quick attack to hit Gyardos. That is when Pikachu grabbed on to Gyardos then used thunder. That ended the battle between Crimson and Brad. Brad won the battle and the Tide Badge.

"Hey Brad that Venasaur of yours was super powered. I really think that you could use that Pokémon in the league. Now that is a good distance away because you still have over ten badges to get. One of every type of gym in Manji. You have to beat them all to get to the elite four. Well I hope you keep this up either way." Said Crimson. "My goal is to beat the Elite four and become champion! I will keep your high regard for my Pokémon in my mind. Thank you for battling me."
