The camera fades in to reveal Camp Wawanakwa, with the classic Chris Mclean getting ready to recap the events of the last episode.
He smiled, and rubbed his hands mischievously. "Welcome back, Total Drama fans! Last time on Total Drama: We kicked things off with a bang as fourteen fresh faces arrived on the island. We stuffed them into a yacht, then, I made them race through the wilderness in their first challenge, a team building exercise! Some of the contestants bonded,"
Camera Flashes Back to Felix and Andrea talking in the woods.
"-and some even took a nosedive into a tree!"
Camera Flashes Back to Jack running head first into a tree.
"In the end, Hayden and Tiffany were the last to complete the race, and they irked some of their new teammates, but there was no elimination, so today's a new day! How will the fourteen campers react during their first actual challenge? Find out, on this all new, dramatic episode of, Total, Drama, Island!"
Camera Fades out.
Intro Plays:
Camera fades in.
Shark's Cabin: Boy's side.
Zhang was the first to wake up, he hadn't had a very good night's sleep, in fact, almost nobody did. He reached out in front of him, still half asleep, to snooze an imaginary alarm clock.
He ended up falling out of the bed, and onto the hard, splintery wood floor. Zhang groaned as he hit the floor, rubbing his eyes and muttering to himself in Mandarin.
Bryce, who was jolted awake but still lying in his bunk, looked down at him from the top bed. "Rough night, huh?"
Zhang shot him a glare before slowly getting up, trying to shake off the grogginess. "These beds are torture devices," he muttered.
Daniel opened his eyes, "Huh? Who's being tortured?"
Bryce and Zhang looked at each other, not entirely sure how to take in that response.
(Confessional: Daniel)
Daniel looks oddly frightened. "Okay, I'm somewhat prone to nightmares, been that way since I was a little kid, last night was a particularly bad one, probably the social anxiety of being away from family, y'know?"
(End confessional: Daniel)
"Nothing man," Bryce calmly reassured Daniel, who sat up in his bed. He looked around, and rubbed his eyes. "What time is it?" Daniel asked.
"It's-"
Loud snoring interrupted the three from their conversation. Hayden was sleeping soundly in his bunk.
"-Eight-thirty." Zhang finished, already agitated for the day. He went over and kicked Hayden's bunk, causing the slumbering boy to wake up in a panic.
Hayden jolted awake, nearly falling out of his bunk. "What? What happened?" he asked, looking around in confusion.
Zhang crossed his arms, glaring down at him. "It's eight-thirty, genius. Time to get up."
Hayden blinked, still trying to process what was going on. "Oh… right. Morning already?"
"Yeah, morning," Bryce said, rolling his eyes. "Now hurry up and get ready before so our entire team can get ready and eat."
Daniel stretched and yawned, finally getting out of bed. "I wonder what he has in store for us today."
"Whatever it is," Zhang started, "I hope that hipster here can complete it today."
Hayden frowns and gets up. Bryce, Daniel, and Zhang leave the cabin, heading towards the girls' side. After stretching a bit, he pulls up the mattress of his bottom bunk. He pulls out some suspicious looking devices.
(Confessional: Hayden)
Hayden holds one of the devices in the confessional.
"Okay, so I know some of you guys may have already picked up on it, but I'm kinda…"
Hayden looks around.
"...Addicted to the zaza, if you know what I mean. But I don't smoke it, at least not really, I use these bad boys."
He holds the THC pod device close to the confessional camera.
"I just hope Chris can't see these, that would be a shame, right?"
Hayden laughs.
(End confessional: Hayden)
Shark's Cabin: Girl's side.
The girls were already up, with Jade and Tiffany at least somewhat ready for the day. Starr, on the other hand, was still half-asleep, sitting on the edge of her bunk with her eyes barely open.
"Morning, sunshine," Jade said sarcastically as she adjusted her hair. "Ready for another day of torture?"
"Oh please," Starr replied, "the real torture starts today, yesterday was easy."
Jade attempted to scoff, but yawned instead, rubbing her eyes. "I need more sleep. This place is like a nightmare."
Tiffany, who was brushing her hair in front of a cracked mirror, shrugged. "Welcome to reality. None of us are getting any beauty sleep here."
"Speaking of nightmares," Starr added, looking towards the door. "Bet the boys aren't faring any better."
As if on cue, there was a knock at the door, and the boys entered: Bryce, Daniel, and Zhang.
Bryce looked around the cabin, raising an eyebrow at the mess. "Not bad, considering the conditions. One night and you managed to turn it into your own living space."
Zhang crossed his arms, clearly unimpressed. "Same as ours. Maybe worse."
Daniel smiled, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, I think it looks nice!"
Bryce raised an eyebrow. "Of course you do."
Then, a loud sound of a door slamming open startled the six people talking. Hayden stood in the doorway, eyes red again.
"You forgot about me!" He excitedly yelled.
"Jesus, crystal!" Starr yelped in surprise. "What happened to you?"
Hayden grinned widely, oblivious to Starr's concern. "Nothing, just had a great nap!" Bryce couldn't help but roll his eyes. He muttered under his breath, "Sure, if that's what you wanna call it."
Tiffany glanced at Hayden, then at the others. "Did you, uh, do something to your eyes?"
Hayden blinked, looking confused. "What do you mean?"
Bryce Narrowed his eyes, but Jade had had enough, and shooed the boys out of the cabin.
"Out, out, out! We don't need you in here right now!"
As the boys left, Bryce turned to Hayden. "Seriously, man. You need to get it together."
Hayden just shrugged, "I'm cool, don't worry."
The boys exchanged glances, clearly unconvinced, as Jade shut the door behind them.
(Confessional: Bryce)
His arms are crossed as he looks at the camera.
"Yeah, I'm on to him, he's either the biggest idiot on earth, or he's purposely doing it to seem unsuspecting."
Bryce puts a finger to the chin, suddenly deep in thought.
"Yeah, he's hiding something."
(End confessional: Bryce)
Falcon's Cabin: Boy's side.
Jack stretched, yawning loudly as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. Felix and Logan were already awake. The latter was doing push ups on the floor, while the former tied his shoes.
"Rise and shine." Logan said through strained grunts.
"Man, this bed is awful," Jack grumbled, sitting up and looking around the cramped cabin. "Feels like I slept on a pile of rocks."
"Would you be grateful for once?" Felix chastised him. "You could have no bed. Then what would you do?"
Jack thought for a moment, "easy," he started. "I would complain about how cold the floor is."
Felix didn't respond to that, instead he finished tying his shoes.
Logan finished his morning workout, sitting on the edge of his bed, trying to get the matted hair out of his eyes. "Could be worse," he said, shrugging. "At least we didn't get eaten by mosquitoes."
Jack got up, pulling his shirt over his head. "Speak for yourself," he mumbled, his voice muffled. "I'm covered in bites."
"Yikes!" Felix said.
Jack chuckled, finally getting out of bed. "Yeah, well, welcome to Wawanakwa. Bet you're missing home already."
Felix thought for a second. "Nah, I signed up for a reason."
Jack scoffed, then put his shoes on and opened the cabin's front door.
"You're not even going to tie them?" Logan questioned. Jack turned around, "Nope." he said.
Logan shook his head.
(Confessional: Jack)
"Tying shoes is a waste of time."
(End confessional: Jack)
Falcon's Cabin: Girl's side.
Andrea was doing sit ups beside her bed, while Ace brushed her teeth. Olivia had still not gotten up this morning. "Rise and grind, lady!" she called out, her voice full of energy.
Olivia woke up immediately, startled. "Ugh… not sure I'd call you a "lady," but whatever.."
Oilvia sat up and gasped when she saw her nails, the polish was chipped beyond belief. "My nails!" She panicked, "they haven't been polished in like, 20 hours!"
Harmony was quietly brushing her hair in front of the small, cracked mirror. "It's not that bad."
"It's not that bad." Olivia mocked. "Of course it's bad! How on earth do you-"
Olivia was cut off by the sound of a fist slamming down on wood. Harmony jumped and looked next to her at the culprit.
"It is EIGHT IN THE MORNING!" Ace hissed. "I TRIED to put up with it yesterday, but I will not anymore, do you understand!?"
Olivia mumbled something. But Ace didn't care, she briskly walked over to Olivia and got in her face.
"Woah!"
"DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?"
Andrea and Harmony look at each other in confusion.
(Confessional: Andrea)
"Okay, I know I have anger issues, but that girl is…."
Andrea attempts to find the right word, but fails.
"Yeah, I don't know, she's weird."
(End confessional: Andrea)
Olivia's eyes widened, but she nodded quickly, not daring to say another word.
Ace straightened up and took a deep breath, then turned to face the rest of the cabin. "Good. Thanks for the understanding."
Ace walked out.
The girls didn't say anything after that, they got dressed and went to the mess hall.
(Confessional: Olivia)
"She better watch it! Nobody talks to me like that!"
(End confessional: Olivia)
A slew of campers enter the mess hall for breakfast. Andrea is at the front of the pack, while Hayden brings up the rear. Chef is making scrambled eggs today.
Andrea was first to grab a tray, eagerly loading up on scrambled eggs. "Finally, some actual food. I was starting to think we'd be eating bugs or something."
Bryce strolled in behind her, eyeing the food suspiciously. "Chef's cooking is only a slight upgrade from bugs, if you ask me."
"I don't care what you think," Andrea turned to Bryce. "Non teammates need not apply."
Logan, walking next to Felix, chuckled. "Just don't think about it too much. Protein is protein."
Hayden arrived last, still looking a bit groggy. "Is there coffee? I could really use some coffee."
Chef glanced up from the griddle, giving Hayden a menacing look. "You get what I make, and you'll like it."
Hayden grabbed the tray, and speed walked to his seat. Andrea and Felix sat next to each other.
"Not bad, huh?" Andrea said between bites of scrambled eggs.
"Yeah, better than I expected," Felix replied, taking a sip of his orange juice. "So, have you thought about what I said yesterday?"
Andrea nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, I have. An alliance could work, but we need to make sure we pick the right people."
"Agreed. We've got to play it smart," Felix said, glancing around the room at the other contestants.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to mention." Andrea said, "Ace totally blew up on us this morning, total screamfest. Make sure to not include her."
"Really? I wouldn't have expected that."
"Well, it happened so I just think-"
"What? Are you talking about me?" Ace snapped at the two.
"Uh oh." Felix started.
"Say it to my face! I dare you!" The navy girl roared at Andrea.
Andrea stood her ground, narrowing her eyes at Ace. "Yeah, I'm talking about you. What's your problem?"
Ace leaned in, her face inches from Andrea's. "My problem is people like you running your mouth behind my back."
Felix shifted uncomfortably in his seat, "Yeah, I'm just gonna….go."
Felix books it and goes to the other side of the table.
(Confessional: Felix)
"Yep, I think she's right. That girl's a little wack."
(End confessional: Felix)
At the Shark's table, Daniel was trying to keep the mood light. "So, how's everyone liking the island so far? Besides the cabins, obviously."
Jade looked up, somewhat annoyed. "It doesn't matter how I feel about it." Daniel dropped his gaze at that, and decided that eating his meal in silence would be the best option.
Zhang stayed silent, picking at his food with a scowl on his face.
Hayden, still groggy, chimed in, "At least the air's fresh."
"Yeah, the air," Jade chuckled, "Gotta focus on the silver linings."
"Sure, if you can find them," Bryce muttered under his breath, pushing his tray away. He then turned to the scowling boy next to him. "What's your problem?"
Zhang's eyes narrowed as he looked up at Bryce. "My problem? This entire place is a joke. I didn't sign up for this."
Bryce leaning back in his stool, almost falling out. "Oh, so Mr. Moneybags isn't used to slumming it with the rest of us? Must be rough."
Zhang's scowl deepened. "You wouldn't understand."
Bryce rolled his eyes, "Neither do your parents."
"Let's not argue right now, okay." Starr said, annoyed. "Wonder what the challenge is gonna be."
Zhang took a deep breath, trying to calm down, while Bryce just shrugged.
"Yes, ma'am."
At that moment, Chris Mclean walked into the mess hall. "Morning, campers! How'd ya sleep?"
"That's a nice joke." Jack said dryly.
"Yeesh, just tryin' to lighten the mood." Chris winced, "I hope you're all ready for your first challenge, follow me down this path to the clearing."
The 14 campers walked behind Chris in the woods, heading to their challenge.
Jack walked next to Andrea.
(Confessional: Jack)
"Andrea's a cute girl, and I'm a cute guy!"
Jack flexed his biceps.
"I think she's a taker!"
(End confessional: Jack)
Jack leaned closer to Andrea, flashing her a smile. "So, Andrea, how are you liking the great outdoors?"
Andrea glanced at him, raising an eyebrow. "It's fine, I guess. Why?"
Jack grinned, flexing his arms a little. "Just wondering if you're up for the challenge today. You seem like someone who likes to win."
Andrea smirked, unimpressed by his antics. "I'm here to win, not to flirt."
"Awww, is that any way to talk to a real man?" Jack teased her.
This comment was awarded by a cold smack by Andrea. "Listen here, you chump, I don't date men shorter than me."
Jack was caught off guard, both by the pain in his cheek, and the news. "Oh, uhhh."
Andrea rolled her eyes.
(Confessional: Andrea)
"Okay, that's not really true, I only said that because the guy's a creep."
(End confessional: Andrea)
Chris led the campers to a clearing in the woods where three large tables were set up, each covered with a tarp. Behind them stood a series of smaller tables with more covered items.
"Alright, campers, here's your challenge for today!" Chris began, grinning. "This is a three-part puzzle challenge! Each team will work together to complete three increasingly difficult puzzles. The first team to finish all three wins immunity!"
He pulled back the first tarp, revealing a large disassembled tower. "First up, you'll need to build a 3D model of the Eiffel Tower. It's a test of teamwork, patience, and skill! You'll have to piece this masterpiece together before you can move on to the next challenge."
Chris walked over to the second table, and lifted the tarp off of it, to reveal a large wooden box with multiple compartments. "Next, we have a lockbox puzzle! You'll need to solve the combinations that opens this bad boy. Only then are you able to move onto the last puzzle.
Chris moved onto the final puzzle, "And finally, a color cube puzzle! All four cubes must display a different color on each side and row. All of your team members may help solve the puzzles, or not. I don't really care, losers send the first person packing."
The 14 campers were standing behind their respective team's puzzle, waiting for the signal to start.
"Ready...set...go!" Chris yelled.
Both teams lunged at their piles of pieces, frantically sorting through them, trying to find a starting point.
On the Shaks, Zhang was the one to take charge.
"Let's separate the parts of the puzzle from the ones we know and don't."
"Sure do!" Daniel exclaimed.
"Let's start by sorting out the edge pieces. Bryce, you work on the base. Jade, can you start looking for the mid-section pieces?"
"Sureeeee."
Hayden, half-awake, fiddled absentmindedly with a few random pieces.
"What are you doing?" Bryce interrogated him, "focus!"
"Yeah, yeah," Hayden muttered, rubbing his eyes before giving the puzzle more attention.
On the other team, Felix and Andrea were doing the most work, the puzzle had 20 pieces, and they had found the bottom part.
"Alright, let's split up the pieces by size and shape. Jack, Felix, you two handle the base. Harmony, focus on the tower's middle. I'll work on the top."
Ace stood off to the side, arms crossed, her gaze intense. "I'll jump in when needed," she said flatly, watching the others work.
Andrea didn't appreciate this, she stopped what she was doing. "No, you're going to help and be a team player."
"Yeah! I don't see you doing anything!" Logan exclaimed, eager to jump into the argument.
Harmony was working quietly as Olivia filed her nails on the side, having stopped working when no one was looking.
"Olivia, pay attention!" Harmony pleaded, causing Olivia to jump and hastily start sorting pieces again.
Olivia grumbled and threw some pieces into the mix. Clearly the wrong ones at that, as they didn't fit right.
Andrea, Logan, and Ace were still arguing.
Olivia's half-hearted effort became increasingly evident. Harmony noticed the mismatched pieces and sighed, trying to correct the mistake without causing more friction.
"Olivia, we need to focus!" Harmony said softly, trying to keep the team on track.
"I am focusing! I'm just focusing on my nails more!"
"Are you joking? She has to be joking!" Jack exclaimed.
At this point, the Sharks were ahead 8 correct pieces to 5
Zhang was actually making progress, and most of the team worked well together, with the exception of Hayden. The Sharks had built the entire base correctly.
"Good job, team!" Starr congratulated the team.
Hayden, still drowsy, tried to match the others' pace, but his sluggishness was holding him back. However, he managed to place two pieces in the right spot while Bryce placed two more, bringing their total to 12/20 pieces.
The Falcons managed to place 4 pieces in this time, making their total nine.
"Ten!" Felix announced.
Harmony glared at Olivia as she placed another piece.
But Olivia barely glanced at her, tossing another piece onto the table with a huff. "This is pointless. We're never going to finish this dumb puzzle."
"Hey! Be careful!" Jack warned.
On the other side of the table, Ace and Andrea were still going at it.
"We need to build from the bottom up, Andrea!" Ace insisted. "It's the most logical way!"
"Are you stupid or something? We're too far to just start over!"
"Oh my god, would you two shut up?" Harmony yelled. And the two faced her. "Uhhh, sorry." Andrea said, scratching the back of her neck. "My bad."
Ace crossed her arms and picked up a random piece, placing it on the top. "Hey! That's…. actually the right one?" Felix said.
"See?" Ace huffed, "I can be helpful."
The other team was almost done, and Zhang placed the tippy top of the Eiffel Tower on to finish the first puzzle.
"And, The Sharks can go on to the lock box puzzle!" Chris announced.
"Drat!" Felix said. "We need to pick up the pace, guys! We can't fall too far behind!"
Andrea shot him a look. "I'm trying, but someone can't stop arguing!"
Ace rolled her eyes but didn't respond. Olvia placed another puzzle piece, and the team was at 18.
"Hurry!" Andrea said as Felix found the last two pieces and completed the first part.
"Looks like the Falcons are catching up! They can move on." Chris announced.
The lock box puzzle was much different from the Eiffel Tower one. On the Sharks' side, Bryce and Starr were working on deciphering the patterns on the lock, while Jade carefully observed their progress. Zhang was focused on another side of the box, trying to crack a code that seemed to involve turning dials in a specific sequence.
"Try that one more time," Jade suggested, pointing to one of the symbols Bryce was lining up.
Bryce nodded, twisting the dial slightly. But nothing happened.
"Perfect," he drawled.
On the Falcons' side, they were just getting started. Andrea took charge, directing the team as they inspected the lockbox.
"Okay, let's split up the tasks," Andrea instructed. "Felix, check for any hidden compartments or clues. Logan, you focus on the dials. Harmony and Olivia, see if you can find any patterns in the symbols."
"Um, why is it always you two who are taking charge?" Logan asked Andrea. "Don't think any of us can take charge?"
Andrea scowled. "Just do the task."
"Here, let me take over," Harmony offered gently, quickly rearranging the symbols "This one should fit like this…"
The lock undid. Andrea widened her eyes as Harmony gleamed.
"And the Falcons have taken the lead! They can move onto the final puzzle" Chris announced.
Meanwhile, Bryce was struggling with his lock.
Bryce's frustration was evident as he twisted and turned the dials on the lock, but nothing seemed to click into place.
"Come on, come on," he muttered under his breath, glancing over at the Falcons who were already moving on to the jigsaw puzzle.
Starr knelt beside him, trying to help. "Maybe it's something simple we're missing," she suggested.
"Missing? I'm missing everything when I don't understand what these symbols even mean!"
Zhang, who had been working on a different part of the box, finally stood up and approached Bryce. "Move," he ordered. taking over the lock. Bryce, though annoyed, stepped aside.
"After you, my trusty steed."
A soft click echoed through the air.
"That's it!" Starr exclaimed, her eyes lighting up as the final lock on their box released.
Hayden frowned at the colorful pieces in front of him. "I swear, these colors are already starting to look the same."
Daniel glanced over. "Just focus, man. We've got to catch up."
The first two cubes were placed for both teams. Those were the easy ones.
Then the third block, which caused some problems for both teams.
"Nope, not this one." Felix noted. "The yellows appear twice."
Bryce looked at the two reds that were on top of each other. "Hmmm."
He then knocked the blocks onto the table.
"Aww! Why'd you do that!?" Daniel exclaimed.
"Because, it's all wrong, I found a pattern." Zhang and Daniel rolled their eyes at this. "Okay then, enlighten us."
Bryce placed the first block. "Look for opposite sides that have the same color." He started, and he picked up a block. "This cube has a green on both opposite sides of the cube."
He placed the block down. Then I studied another.
"This one has yellow on opposite sides." Zhang noted.
"This one has red!" Starr exclaimed.
"And then blue." Jade said, picking up the blue cube. "What's next?"
"No!" Flip this one that way!" Ace hollered.
The Falcons were falling behind yet again, deciding to rush instead of think. They had two cubes placed down.
"Ugh. This isn't working. New plan." Logan said. He stacked the 4 blocks on top of each other in a random order. "Just shuffle them until you get it. It's bound to happen."
"What kind of a plan is that!?" Andrea said.
"Okay, stack them, just like this." Bryce said.
The Sharks stacked the puzzle. "Okay, now we're halfway done. Now for the other two."
Zhang rotated the second piece, so that the front side had a yellow on top, and then three blue cubes. Bryce rotated the third cube so that the three blues turned into yellow, blue, red, blue.
"Check the other side, make sure it's not screwed up." Daniel asked.
"It's not." Jade said.
Zhang rotated the last piece, but found that it didn't work. "One of these top three aren't right."
"Trial and error," Bryce said. "Rotate the top one again."
The Sharks rotated it, and it didn't mess anything up, then they rotated the third one, and that worked as well.
"This side has two reds and two blues." Tiffany pointed out.
"The second one! Turn the second one!" Bryce said.
Now the top two cubes were good, and not contradicting each other. THe Sharks had to solve the bottom two cubes though.
Fearless Falcons…
One side had three yellows and a blue.
"Put this one on top." Logan asked Felix, who obliged.
"Okay, now we're getting somewhere." Felix studied the stack, but there were still quite a few problems with it.
Andrea looked at the other team. "But not fast enough! They're almost done!"
"Somebody copy them!" Ace yelled.
"Nuh uh uh!" Chris said. "Keep your eyes on your puzzle only!"
Savage Sharks…
"Okay, rotate that one more time," Bryce instructed Zhang, who carefully turned one of the cubes. "Check the other sides."
Jade scanned the other sides and nodded. "It's good. We're almost there."
Bryce exhaled, focusing on the last piece. "Now, just this one… carefully."
The Sharks huddled closer, everyone holding their breath as Bryce made the final adjustment. When he finished, all the cubes lined up perfectly, each side displaying a different color without any duplicates.
"Looks like the Sharks win!" Chris announced. "Falcons, you can stop now."
"Ugh!" Andrea yelled in frustration as she knocked the tower down.
"Good job, team!" Starr congratulated her teammates as she high fived Daniel, and the two exchanged a smile.
Bryce smiled as Zhang walked over to him. "Didn't expect you to come in handy, but you did it." Bryce narrowed his eyes and stopped smiling.
"Thanks, I guess."
(Confessional: Bryce)
Bryce had his arms crossed. "I don't like that dude, I know he's smart, but he seems slimy. And not in a good, strategic way. More in like the scummy used car salesman way."
(End confessional: Bryce)
Andrea slumped back, her head hanging low. "We were so close."
Felix patted her on the back. "Next time, we'll get it." Ace shook her head. "Yeah, no thanks to you," Ace muttered, clearly irritated.
Felix turned to Ace.
"I'm sorry? All you and Olivia did was scream and complain. If anything, the loss is both of your fault." Felix said.
Ace's eyes flashed with anger as she turned to face Felix, her hands balling into fists. "You've got some nerve blaming me when you were just standing there like a deer in headlights."
"What are you talking about? Andrea and I were the ones doing the most work!"
Olivia joined in, scoffing. "Of course, putting you two on top."
"You shut up, you're just as useless." Ace told Olivia, who crossed her arms and picked at her skin.
Chris clapped his hands to get everyone's attention. "Alright, campers, enjoy your victory, Sharks. Falcons, better luck next time. Now, let's head back to camp and get ready for tonight's bonfire ceremony."
Everyone headed out.
(Confessional: Felix)
"Wow! That girl does not discriminate, does she? She's not afraid to yell at anybody."
Felix looked at the camera expectantly.
"I gotta talk to Andrea to see who she's voting for. If I had a choice? Olivia would be packing, but Andrea's opinion matters too."
(End confessional: Felix)
Outside one of the Cabins, Felix and Andrea were talking.
"Andrea, I'm saying vote for Olivia. She's the weakest link. And she's gotta go." Felix asked. Andrea thought for a moment.
"No, I want Ace out of here."
Felix winced. "I figured that. Ace might be intense, but at least she's strong."
Andrea got up. "Strength isn't everything, Felix. We need cohesion, and Ace is tearing this team apart. We can't afford that. I can get myself, Olivia, Jack, and you."
Andrea started to walk away. "Think about it!"
Felix stood there, realizing he was the swing vote. He rubbed the back of his head. "Oh great."
The camera panned out.
The campfire ceremony began, with Chris standing in front of the Falcons, who were seated on log benches, looking anxious. The only light came from the crackling fire, casting long shadows over the contestants' faces.
Chris smirked, holding a tray with marshmallows. "Alright Falcons, you lost the first challenge, and you're about to lose your first member! I have six marshmallow's on this plate. If you don't get a marshmallow, you must immediately walk down the dock of shame, and leave the island via the drone of despair!"
Chris gestured his arms towards the outhouse, "You may vote."
(Confessional: Olivia)
Olivia scowled in the confessional.
"Oh, you are SO gone! Just watch!"
(End confessional: Olivia)
(Confessional: Ace)
"You're whiny, you're an idiot, and I really hate you."
(End confessional: Ace)
(Confessional: Felix)
"Okay, I'm doing what's best for my game. And that's voting for you."
(End confessional: Felix)
Back at the bonfire, Chris began handing out marshmallows. He tossed the first marshmallow. "Logan."
Logan caught it and gave Chris a nod, which he did not return. "Jack."
"Oh yeah!"
Jack flexed his muscles as he caught his marshmallow, winking at Andrea, who rolled her eyes.
"Felix."
Felix caught his marshmallow, but his face was tight.
"And… Harmony."
Harmony let out a relieved breath as she took her marshmallow.
Andrea, Ace, and Olivia were left. Chris held up the second to last marshmallow.
"Andrea, you're safe."
Andrea caught it and smiled.
Chris looked at the remaining two campers, Olivia and Ace, with a dramatic pause. "Olivia. Ace. One of you is about to take the long walk down the dock."
Olivia bit her lip and aggressively filed her nails, while Ace remained stone-faced, her gaze locked on Chris.
"The final marshmallow goes to…."
"Olivia."
Olivia exhaled in relief, catching her marshmallow as Ace stood up, her face hardening and already turning shades of red.
"You all are so dumb it's funny, you keep the incompetent loser over me? What a joke!" She chewed out her team.
"Maybe if you were level headed we would've kept you." Felix says, "but I guess not." Ace turned away and started down the dock of shame and the drone of despair picked her up by her uniform and she was carried away.
"You're going to regret this!"
Chris turned back to the campers. "You're safe, for now. You may head to your cabins to rest."
The six Falcons cleared out.
"Well, that was intense! But the game's only just begun. Who's going to be voted out next? Find out on an all new episode of: Total, Drama, Island!"
Camera fades out.
Editor's note:
So, The first elimination has happened! Originally Ace was supposed to make the merge, and be a relatively quiet character, but I realized that I liked other Characters more. Don't get me wrong, Ace was pretty fun to write, And this is NOT the last you'll see of her. But her time in the game is over. Felix and Andrea have a cool dynamic going. And maybe they'll add another person to the mix? As for the challenge, I like the survivor style challenges more, so you'll see some of those, but there will be Total Drama styled ones as well.
See ya in the third episode!
