Well here we embark on an ambitious adventure to carve a new path through the world of one piece.

I started watching the anime only recently but managed to binge my way through to the start of Dressrosa so there may be some continuity errors with the source but I am trying to keep close to any news so hopefully it will remain semi true to cannon.

Luffy will be a bit OOC due to trauma.

Re-editing just to change a bit of the wordings and try add in a bit more emotions thanks to a helpful review from Atlin2Four.

It ended as it begun.

Robin dragged herself to her feet, swaying weakly in the wind. Her breaths small and desperate as the smell of burning flesh clogged the back of her throat.

Looking around at the chaos, Robin forced herself to focus as she could see bodies scattered, undisguisable between friend or foe in their utter destruction. From her vantage she could see traces of ice and lava as it glistened, both equally as deadly.

She closed her eyes against the pain. War never ended well, and this one had been begun in her name.

Stumbling towards the centre of the island undeterred by her pain Robin edged forward, she prayed to any gods that were able to listen, maybe all was not lost, perhaps she could see one of her dear Nakama reach their dream before she fell to darkness.

Her sheer will drove her as she stumbles back over traps and treacherous pathways, back to the reason she had made it this far, she needed to see him succeed, it would all be worth it if he achieved his dream. In her head she saw the ever-present grin on her captain's face as he accepted his legacy, finally King.

Reality came crashing down at the sight that met her eyes when she arrived was one that sent shivers down her spine.

Luffy was there over the treasure he sought, but he seemed frozen. Worse still was the daunting figure of the 'Noble' Red Haired Shanks hovering over him.

Gripping the last embers of what remained of her strength Robin clutched her arms for the last time, the last sight she saw as she fell was the tell-tale black covering Shanks neck as her arms failed to gain purchase.

"Release" the faint whisper fled uselessly from her mouth falling with her last breath.
