Ok so first off, I am so sorry x10000000000000000000 for the update. University got the best of me the last few years and now finals are coming and applications for master degrees are being done. I will try to get the next chapter out as soon as I can, but if you want I can write a few drabbles and side stories that go with The Ravenclaw girl so you all can enjoy more Severus and Eva adventures. They can include some of Eva's backstory: time at home, Salem, first years of Hogwarts before Severus you name it!

Again so sorry but thank you for still being around to follow Evangeline Easgriff and Severus Snape.

Mid-March arrived fast, and the NEWTS were on their way. All the final years were preparing for the end of the line, before taking those dreadful exams and entering the real world.
"Eva come on! We're going to late for potions! For the second time!"
"Oh Sev, relax its only Slughorn, like he is going to say anything."
Severus rolled his eyes and waited for her finish up her snack. The last few months were interesting to say the least. Severus was afraid of what would happen following their kiss, if she were to brush it off as a spur of the moment event, of it meant nothing or something along those lines.
However it was not the case, she accepted his feelings for her and returned them. He never understood why, she never gave any signs of liking him more than a friend, but after Eva was good at hiding personal feelings. He wanted to get their relationship low key for the moment, only Eva's small circle of friends comprised of David, Mariana and Grace were aware of their romantic relationship for the time being. Eva understood why he wanted to keep it down, due to his Slytherin "friends" wanting to cut in to their lives. One comment here, one there.
Severus would continue to believe the ball was only a dream for the weeks following it. It could have been a figment of his imagination. That it never happened, none of it happened. But it did. Severus continued to replay those events in his mind. How such a person like Eva would agree to be with him was something he could not understand. He was not rich, had no status, nothing. Nothing to offer, nothing to give. To him, he was always that little odd boy, the poor boy. Even now he felt that way, but the way she looked at him made him forget all that. Eva would look at him with such adoration that he had never seen before, heck he could have sworn his own mother never looked at him with such love in her eyes.
Due to their new relationship, Severus spent more and more time with Eva and her friends than Mulciber and his. He knew it was not helping his situation, but he could less and less. Their presence was just in Eva's words "annoying and unbearable". He was sure they were only a few months if not weeks away from joining the Dark Lord. That particular subject was brought up as much as possible between all of them. How their relationship could be kept quiet for as long as it has so far was a miracle, in public they appeared as they always had in order not to draw attention. They did meet in private for more couple like activities. Only a few more months left and they wouldn't have to hide from everyone at Hogwarts. Severus could not believe the year ran as fast as it did, after all this was the first year where he actually was enjoying Hogwarts. Sure the previous year was all right, but this one was more peaceful.
The Marauders left him alone a lot more this year, Black being of course the exception. Severus supposed Black would always be out to get him.
Eva and Severus walked together to potions as they usually did; they made their way through the dungeons and arrived just in time for Slughorn's class.
"Ah mister Snape, Miss Easgriff right on time this week. This time we changed up the pairings duh to questionable results from a certain pair last week. So Miss Easgriff you will be preparing a potion with Mister Potter and you Mister Snape with Mister Black. Now on you go!"
Severus stiffened up, at least she was paired with Potter and not Black. Even though he had Marlene constantly flirting with her, he could tell he harbored a form of attraction for Eva. Severus would be lying if he said he was not afraid of it sometimes. Black was far better looking than him, Eva could fall out with him over a disagreement or something and go right into Black's arms. He pushed those thoughts aside and sat next to the Gryffindor, while Eva went next to Potter.
"Right everyone, today we will perfect our abilities with the elixir to induce euphoria. Now go on begin!"
Working with Black was difficult; he would not listen to Severus who had altered the original recipe.
"What are you on about Snape, that's not written in the book."
"Never thought of you as a rule follower Black." He retorted.
"Well Snivellus, I just don't like your dark little methods."
Severus took a deep breath; what dark methods? Apparently anything he changes just a bit is now the darkest magic that ever existed. He and Black were not going to make the potion in harmony like the rest of the class. He cast a glance towards Eva, he was surprised to what he was seeing and hearing.
"You have to stir four times anti-clockwise Potter, not six! Idiot."
"Gosh Easgriff, keep your skirt on! I was only joking, do you think I want this to explode in our faces?"
Eva gave him a shocked look: "What are you saying?! To be honest who knows Potter. You seem to have a thing for explosives." She replied.
"A thing for explosives? How did that get into your head?"
Eva put down the ingredients and faced him "Last week you and your friends blew something up in the Great Hall, now if I recall correctly, it was quite loud, McGonagall nearly ripped your heads off."
"Hey that wasn't me, I was with Lils thank you very much." He said glancing over at the potion and then at Sirius. It did not take very long for Eva to figure it out.
"Yeah right, as if you would miss such an opportunity. Does not matter anyway, points were lost and detention was given. I wonder how your record can be broken, or if it's even possible!"
James looked shocked, or was pretending to. "For your information, you set the bar pretty high as well. And explosions are more your area of expertise. Need I list them?"
Eva made a face, added a sarcastic comment and returned to the list of ingredients.
Severus saw Potter roll his eyes, and continued to watch them. "And you know we can be on first name basses now."
"Fine, James." she replied insisting on his first name while adding the sopophorous beans. "But we are not friends."
"Never said we had to be or are, but I would much rather call you by your given name."
"Oh really Mr Potter? Since when do you want us to be this civilized to each other?"
"Since maybe this is the end of the year and that it is time for us to grow up?"
Eva turned to him, this was very unlike James Potter, they did for a short time call each other by their first names, but that was a long time ago.
"Fine then, I don't really care at this point of the year…James."
"Very well then Evangeline." He replied.
Eva rolled her eyes at him and put in the rest of the ingredients, after that they both continued to brew the elixir. Severus returned to his potions and saved it before it went overboard. The hour went by and soon, they were all free to go. Eva met up with him and as they walked down the hallway, a voice shouted Eva's name. She turned around and saw James a few feet away starting back at her.
"One last thing Evangeline, you almost added peppermint to the potion, so who is the idiot now?"
"Well James, you were going to stir it incorrectly, and that could of blown up in our faces!"
"A tie then!"
"It appears so! Good day!"
Eva and Severus walked outside and sat on a bench, Severus was puzzled by the sudden switch from surname to first name between them. She assured him they were not friends but due to his recent change of character (perhaps even pressure from Lily, but who knows) they began first name bases. However Eva added she would revert back to using his surname from time to time, as calling him James did not feel natural or normal to her.
He did not add anything to the discussion; Eva knew what he thought about the Gryffindor so he felt any other opinions would be useless.
"How was working with Black?"
"No comment, he is an insufferable twat, who clearly still has an obsession with you." He replied.
Eva laughed, "Fine Sev I won't ask any more questions."
She rested her head on his shoulder for a little bit, letting her thoughts take over.
"What are we going to do after graduation Severus? Can't believe it is coming up already."
Severus looked down at her "I have no idea, guess we'll find out shortly."
Eva nodded "Indeed we will." She cuddled closer to him; they were in a little hidden corner of the castle they had found a few weeks ago. It was nice and quiet where no one would bother them. Severus enjoyed these times with her. He never really thought that after Lily he would know these feelings again. But most importantly, he never thought that he would share anything like this with someone. Of course those dreams used to be plagued with a green-eyed red haired girl, now a blonde haired one has taken that place.
The thought of the Dark Lord would however never leave his mind. The moment his "friends" find out, who knows what would happen. Severus preferred not to think of such a thing. Ignorance is bliss as they say. But he knows he cannot ignore those feelings for long.
"You know what I really want to do before I leave?" Eva said.
"Does it involve tormenting poor little Lockhart?" smirked Severus.
"Ha! Maybe, no I want us to sneak out during the night and just sit over there in the grass. You know nothing special."
"You are not going to get me in trouble."
"Oh Severus you goody two shoes." She laughed.
"I believe that when someone has set the bar up so high, there is no point especially at this point of the year for me to attempt anything."
Eva sat up and looked at him "Oh my Merlin really? I mean at this point, might as well accept the fact that the amount of trouble I have done so far is quite remarkable. From the magnificent pranks of first year, to the glitter covered Great Hall of last week, which by the way didn't get caught." She finished up her sentence with a little wink.
Severus rolled his eyes "Amazing, how can someone like you cause so much mischief?"
"Because I am amazing."
"Getting a little arrogant now Eva." He smirked.
Eva rolled her eyes and laughed, she didn't care what her level of mischief was by now, all she knew was that she, her friends and even the Marauders caused enough trouble, damage, anything really to last quite some time.
"Wonder if these 'records' of mine will be beaten one day"
"Detention?" replied Severus.
Eva hit his arm "Oh Sev that hurt my feelings."
Severus rubbed his arm, for a playful punch his arm did hurt a bit. He thought it was from all that Quidditch she played.
"Oh Merlin Sev, it didn't hurt."
Now it was Severus's turn to roll his eyes. They stayed in their spot for a few more minutes until it was time to leave and get to their next class. Severus had Arithmancy and Eva had Ancient Runes. The pair walked away from the spot and made their way back through the castle and separated in the halls in order to make their respective classes. Severus would have preferred to have her in his class; time would go by quicker and be more enjoyable. However he had to make due with it for now. He knew he could.
As he walked he thought again of Mulciber and co. Their constant speeches of the Dark Arts, the Dark Lord, and anything related to it were in full force. No doubt in his mind that one of them took the mark during the last few months. He felt it odd though that they wouldn't have shared that with him if that were the case.
"They are probably organizing it for the end of the year" He thought. Makes sense that way when you think about it. At least he hoped so. A few more steps down the hall, and he saw Lily and James holding hands and kissing in front of the classroom door.
"And he went for him, who would have known" he thought, he stopped caring at this point, he was past Lily. She could go off with anyone at this point, as long as they treated her well. As he remembered a few months ago, he would always care for Lily. She was his first love and friend. He didn't care for Potter one bit, but did have to notice the changes he went through for her.
"Still strongly despise you Potter" he thought "Still very very strongly despise you." He thought and pushed his way through them to enter the classroom.
"Oi! Watch where you going Snivelly!"
"Bite me Potter!"
Those interactions though Severus realized, would never change.
