Chapter 5: The Legend of The Demodragons
At Talos' lair of his volcano, the Mine dropper began to descend into the mountain. Once the dropper set itself down, the three Gorilla Lurkers jumped onto the ground and walked into the throne room.
As soon as they made it inside, they walked up to Talos and the hooded figure as they bowed in respect to the Demodragon.
"Have you found what I requested?" Talos asked his soldiers.
"Yes, King Talos." The first Gorilla Lurker soldier said as he presented the scroll of the Demodragons and the Dark Eco crystal. "We have found what you need to bring the generals back and the crystal."
Talos takes the crystal and the scroll with an evil smirk of satisfaction.
"We have also tested on the leader of the current Elite Ninja leader and the curse has only just begun." The second Gorilla Lurker soldier added as Talos grinned evilly upon hearing this.
Soon more Gorilla Lurker soldiers came up to the three along with a pair of different Lurker soldiers.
These ones were taller than the Gorilla Lurker soldiers, their skin and fur was blue, with armor made of bones of an unknown animal. Typical to the ape Lurkers, they have appendages of cartilage appearing as spurs growing along their jawline, large yellow eyes, and a thick metal collar. In addition, they each have a powerful club weapon in their hands.
"Excellent." Talos said as he placed the Dark Eco crystal in a slot of a pillar that was in the center as there were four more. "Now we must reawaken my generals. The time has come for the next Demodragon war." He turns to the hooded figure and hands him the scroll. "Bring them back, my pupil. You have earned it."
"Yes, master." The hooded figure said as he approached the slot.
Then flames began to rise around the stone pillars as the hooded figure opened the scroll and Talos smiled sinisterly.
"Navasa, Zaan, Kanda, Athrovaxa, Noruto, Zavasay!" The hooded figure chanted while reading the scroll. Then the Dark Eco crystal sparks off electricity and shoots a powerful purple beam at the four statues of the Demodragon generals.
"Mavakaa, Sekulaa, Nadavaaaa." The Lurkers chanted as Talos smirked evilly at the hooded figure's work.
"Mavakaa, Sekulaa, Nadavaaa." The hooded figure chanted with the Lurkers before he shouted. "Arise, Demodragon generals!"
Soon the beam intensifies greatly as the statues of the Demodragon soldiers began to crack before they explode, which sends most of the Lurker army back a bit as Talos smirks evilly.
"Arise, my generals. The time of the Solar Eclipse begins. All ye generals, wake from your stone slumber." Talos said as the generals rose up and opened their eyes.
"Talos." The generals said in unison as they bowed in respect to Talos.
"The time has come for us to rise from the shadows and take back what is ours." Talos said as his generals got back up and the first Gorilla Lurker walked up to him.
"Master, we have assembled the best Lurker soldiers and they await your command." The first Gorilla Lurker reported.
"Excellent. Now that the Solar Eclipse is near, we must act quickly." Talos said as he turns attention to the Gorilla Lurkers and the Bone armor Lurkers. "Continue your search for the Eco crystals. The outsiders from the northern part of Equestria will be sure to make a move. You know what to do and deal harshly without anyone who strays from the borders. We will attack them in due time."
The Lurkers bowed in respect to Talos before they made their exit to find the Eco crystals.
"Have there been any reports of the White Lotus clan making their move to find us my pupil?" Talos asked the hooded figure, who turned back to him.
"No, my lord. But they will know soon just as Chase and his family will." The hooded figure replied back.
"Then you will have your revenge on him for what he did to you, but for now take as many of the Lurkers and get me the statue of the Great One. Time is of the essence." Talos instructed as the hooded figure bowed in respect before he walked away.
(Scene changes)
Meanwhile, back at the house of the Elite Ninja in Canterlot away from the south part, Chase, his family, Clay, and Sokka were getting patched up from Santos and Jewel.
"Dudes, did anypony get the license plate on those things that hit us last night?" Antonio asked with a groan as he rubbed his head that had a bandaid on it. "My head."
"Okay, that was just weird. I mean first the weird ape monsters then that powerful crystal and the scroll." Jade said while looking over a book of magic crystals with Sokka.
"Ow!" Trini said as she twisted her neck a bit in pain. "Those darn dirty apes really bent my neck."
"Tell me about it, at least the worst was over." Antonio said while having some cereal.
"Keep talking, Antonio. Last night was an embarrassment." Sunray said, slamming his left hoof on the table with a bitter glare he sent to Antonio, who didn't pay attention while having his breakfast.
"I'll tell you what's embarrassing, you couldn't even follow a single order." Chase said to Sunray sternly as his younger brother turned to him.
"Oh, how cute." Sunray said with a sarcastic smirk before he glared at Chase. "You've been back for five minutes and now you're schooling us on your master plan?"
Hearing this made Chase glare at his brother angrily.
"Okay, so this is my fault now, huh, Sunray?" Chase asked furiously as Sunray shrugged his shoulders carelessly. "I'm the only one that has to be responsible?!"
"Hey, you're the trained master, not me." Sunray said angrily.
"That's enough, both of you!" Santos said sternly, making Chase and Sunray turn to him and Jewel as they were glaring at their children.
"Chase. We're are most disappointed in you. We were counting on you to bring order to the chaos of this family. This is why we have forbidden any hero activity." Santos said sternly. "We cannot return to the glory days to fight evil… if we continue to fight each other."
"But Dad, how can I be expected to do so when Sunray-?" Chase was about to finish as he pointed at Sunray, only to get cut off again.
"There are no excuses when you are the leader, my son." Santos said sternly as Sunray smirked at Chase.
Seeing that Chase was being punished, Jade, Trini, Sokka, and Clay had enough all because of Sunray's disobedience.
"It wasn't his fault, Mom and Dad." Jade said, getting her parents' attention. "Chase tried to lead us, but Sunray jeopardized the mission."
"Yeah, Chase insisted that we follow your orders, but because of Sunray, we almost got ourselves humiliated." Clay added as he and the others glare at Sunray, who glared back at them.
Santos and Jewel noticed that they weren't kidding.
"Is that true, Chase?" Santos asked Chase as his son turned to him and nodded.
Sunray still glared at Chase hatefully, which Santos and Jewel noticed.
"Alright, Chase. We'll let this one slide while Sunray cleans up the dojo for an hour." Jewel said as she and Santos glared at Sunray, who widened his eyes in shock.
"What?!" Sunray asked in shock when he was given a broom and a dust pan.
"Get to work now." Santos said sternly to his youngest son.
Sunray groaned in irritation as he got up and walked to the dojo while glaring at Chase hatefully. Chase just glared at him annoyingly before a purple light glowed on his medallion with a sphere of Dark Eco energy as electricity sparks off.
"Huh?" Chase asked in shock as the light glows brighter with sparks flying out of his medallion before the sphere exploded, sending him flying backwards as he screamed and landed on the ground with a loud grunt of pain.
His family and friends were shocked by this as they rushed over to Chase.
"Chase, are you alright?!" Sokka asked with concern as Chase groaned and sat up while rubbing his head.
"Not really." Chase said as he looked at his medallion while it sparks a bit before it dies down. "What's happened to my medallion?"
Santos and Jewel looked at it in concern when a magical mist came flying into the house before a message was dropped on the table. Taking it with her magic, Jade unrolls it and reads the message.
"What does it say, Jade?" Sokka asked curiously as Jade lowers the letter.
"Kon has requested all of us to head for his monastery in Japon." Jade replied back with curiosity.
(Scene changes)
About a few hours or so later, Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, Antonio, Sokka, Clay, Santos, and Jewel arrived at the village of Japon as they made their way to the corridor. Once they arrived at the throne room doors, they see the rest of the Mane Sixteen, Celestia, Luna, Pakku, Bumi, Iroh, Kon, Chikara, Juto, Chen, Cadance, Shining Armor, Flurry Heart, Nandu Gili, Darius, and Bagheera.
"Hey, guys. You made it!" Rainbow said as Fluttershy and Sokka hugged each other lovingly.
"We're so glad you could come, honey." Fluttershy said to her husband as he smiled.
"Me too." Sokka said as the two nuzzled each other lovingly while Clay and Applejack embraced each other happily.
"You guys are not also gonna believe this, but look who else came." Jade said as she and the others moved aside to allow Chase to walk up, much to the surprise and happiness of his friends and the rest of his family.
"Chase!/Sugarcube!/Buddy, your back!/ Welcome back, darling!/ Good to see you, Chase!/ Welcome back!" Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow, Rarity, Pinkie, and Spike said simultaneously with joy of seeing Chase return.
Seeing him, Twilight gasped happily.
"Chase, you came back!" Twilight said as she trotted over and hugged Chase happily as he returned the hug for his wife.
"Chase!" Shining Armor said happily as he, Cadance, and Flurry Heart smiled at the alicorn stallion here.
"Sorry the reunion isn't under better circumstances." Chase said as Darius and Nyx ran up and hugged their father happily, making him chuckle as he hugged his children. "Hey, kids."
"Hi, Daddy." Darius said as he nuzzled his father's chest fur before the two alicorn foals broke the hug with Chase.
"We're glad you made it back, Chase. What made you come back?" Cadance asked her brother-in-law with a smile.
Chase smiled as he turned to Twilight, who smiled back at him and Celestia approached the two alicorns.
"It is wonderful to see you again, Chase." Celestia said with a smile as Chase smiled back at the white alicorn.
"We are glad you came as well, Chase." Luna said as she joined Celestia with a smile before she became grim. "But I'm afraid this isn't the best time to begun the reunion."
"Luna is right. We have a serious problem on our shoulders." Kon said as the others turned to him. "We sensed that a huge threat from an ancient legend has returned in the south part of Equestria."
"Is it somewhere near Mount Aris?" Twilight asked with concern as she, Chase, Darius, and Nyx approached Kon.
"Not exactly, Twilight." Chikara said with concern. "It is somewhere in the very far part of the world beyond Mount Aris as well."
"We fear that this day would eventually come." Nandu Gili said gravely as he stood beside Kon. "The Day of the Solar Eclipse is almost here."
Hearing this made, Celestia, Luna, Pakku, Bumi, and Iroh become concern as Shining Armor and Cadance felt the same way too. Chikara, Juto, Nandu Gili, and Chen were aware of the news with grave expressions. The others were confused by this.
"What do you mean?" Applejack asked curiously.
"What's so important about an eclipse?" Rainbow asked, just as curious as her friends.
Kon sighed as he approached the scroll that tells the story of the Demodragons.
"We are afraid we cannot hold this any longer." Kon said as he faced the group. "The Demodragons have returned from the ashes."
This news shocked and surprised the group.
"The Demodragons?" Chase asked in concern. "But that shouldn't be, they were gone for almost a millenia."
"They have returned, Chase. And it would seem that Talos is in search of the Eco crystals as we speak." Kon said gravely.
"Talos?" Trini repeated with a curious look. "Who's that?"
Kon looked at Nandu Gili, who urged him to tell the others of the legend, as he sighed heavily and turns to the others.
"A long time before you young ponies were born, our world was much larger then." Kon said as he tells the story. "In another part of Equestria was a tropical continent that lived many different kinds of ponies, called the Continent of Mu. It all started three thousand years ago after the great Quinkan scourge."
Flashback
In the different continent of Equestria in the very far south part of the world, known as the Continent of Mu, there were different types of anthropomorphic animals that lived in harmony with other ponies.
"The world went on forever and the ponies nurtured the harmony of all living things with magic combined with dragon energy as well as building different kinds of advanced shelters with modern life styles." Kon said as ponies lived in a local village like Ponyville, only different as they some of them built different types of advanced pieces of rare equipment or material to build a future and protecting the endangered wildlife. "But their closest energy… was Eco."
In a different part of the continent was in the mountains as there were two unicorn sorcerers.
One of them was Gol Acheron.
The other was an elder mare unicorn with a tall, slender body, youthful appearance due to some sort of experiment, gray-blue fur coat, yellow scleras, red irises, black face marks on both sides of her face, long, thick, yellow-gray hair, held back by a helmet that closely resembles the insectoid appearance with large green "eyes" and a spherical head made of some kind of metal.
"A pony named Gol Acheron and his elder sister, Maia, were sages that made different types of Eco. With their energies, they would be used as a sign for good to help protect Equestria from any threats." Kon narrated as Gol finished the last adjustment with the Green Eco while fusing it with a crystal combined with dragon energy. "His knowledge of Eco was unique and Maia's intelligence of sorcery was far more advanced than any living being. But that life changed one day when a dangerous menace came from the bowels of the Netherworld."
A scene shows Earth Ponies farming gardens as Gol and Maia used the Green Eco energy to heal a dying apple tree as the ponies cheered for their gesture for help. That's when a portal from the Netherworld opened up, making them all turn to see Talos rising up with a loud roar and laughing menacingly at the crowd.
"And Talos, the king of the Demodragons laid waste to the environment with his army terrorizing the inhabitants." Kon continued to narrate as everypony fled in fear while others were lost by Talos' flames. Then he noticed Gol firing a Yellow Eco fire ball at him when the Demodragon King caught it with his right hand and began to fuse it with his powers. "Talos took the energy from one of Gol's Yellow Eco and converted it with his powers, creating a dangerous source of Eco that was far more dangerous than ever. The Dark Eco."
(Scene changes)
The scene changes to the mountain view as Talos stood with his army of thousands of Demodragons, waging war on the continent as they flew in to destroy everything.
With his energy creating Dark Eco, Talos fired a beam at some animals, striking them in an instant. Transforming the animals from around the jungles, mountains, and ocean into powerful monsters that would become Lurker soldiers.
"With the Dark Eco infusing him, Talos terraformed the continent's animal kingdom into a huge army of Lurkers with the aid of his Demodragons capturing many innocent lives." Kon narrated some more as Talos laughed evilly and used his powers to create an even more powerful force of nature.
Using the Dark Eco and dragon energy, Talos fired the inside of a random volcano before he stopped as something growled inside.
Rising up from the top was a large demon dragon with black scales, wings with a claw on each, large horns that curve backwards, four claws on its hands, three talons on its feet, a long powerful tail, and red eyes.
"And with his powers, he created an even more terrifying evil that would destroy anything insightful. The Red Eyes Black Dragon." Kon said as the Red Eyes Black Dragon roared out loudly with his claws and wings stretched out. "The threat had grown worse when Talos brought the sun and moon, forming them into a solar eclipse."
Talos then uses his powers to bring the sun and moon together as massive lightning bolts struck the sky as Dark Eco erupted from the volcano heading straight for the village.
"When all life was about to end, Gol and Maia then began a new strategy in hope to stop the Demodragon threat for good." Kon continued to narrate. "To make their own dragon of pure white."
(Scene changes)
In hopes that Gol and Maia would stop this madness, they created their own dragon with the power of light.
This dragon was opposite of the Red Eyes Black Dragon with a scaled body of pure whitish blue, blue sky eyes, three talons on its feet, four claws on its hands, wings, and a long powerful tail.
"The two converted the four powers of the Blue, Yellow, Green, and Red Eco, creating Light Eco. Thus, the Blue Eyes White Dragon was born." Kon said as the Blue Eyes White Dragon roared out and spreads its wings while flying straight at the Red Eyes Black Dragon, who charged back at him.
The two clashed with each other in airborn, firing flames at each other as their beams connected to each other.
"Soon a furious battle took place, between the Blue Eyes White Dragon and the evil Red Eyes Black Dragon. This was the first clash of dragon titans. Talos used his Dark Eco powers against Gol and Maia with their Light Eco." Kon continued to narrate as Talos fired a Dark Eco beam at Gol and Maia, who in turn fired a beam of Light Eco at the Demodragon King as his powerful beam made contact with theirs. Then Talos stopped as he flew straight at Maia, grabbing her by the neck as her scream echoed. Suddenly, Talos used his magic to suck up Maia's soul as she gasped heavily before she turned into a cloud of mist and vanished. "The ultimate sacrifice would be from Gol's sister, Maia, and he offered one last strategy to end this."
Suddenly, Gol jumped onto the Blue Eyes White Dragon as they both fired a beam at the Red Eyes Black Dragon, making it roar in surprise as it was turned to stone. Then Gol fired a magic beam at the ground, creating a huge crack as the Dark Eco flowed down in it. Soon gigantic silos erupted as the Dark Eco was sealed away for good.
"In the end, Gol triumphed and trapped the Red Eyes Black Dragon in stone as well sealing the Dark Eco in silos that would be impossible to unlock so that it would destroy everything it touches." Kon narrated as Gol made the ultimate sacrifice by having the Blue Eyes White Dragon go into hibernation, used his spell to bring the Demodragons back to the Netherworld, spread the Eco Dragon crystals around the world, as well as trapping the generals in stone as well. "With the threat averted and to make the ultimate sacrifice, Gol spread the Eco Dragon crystals around the world as well as trapping Talos' Demodragon generals into stone as well. By the end he gave his life to save others, who didn't make it. Soon, the eclipse ended that time and there was never a sign of Lurker activity nor Demodragon until today."
Flashback ends
We return to the present as the others minus the royal sisters, the White Lotus clan leaders, Chikara, Juto, Nandu Gili, and Chen, were shocked by this.
"So the legend is right. Three thousand years." Applejack said in awe.
"But why would the Demodragons return now?" Chase asked curiously. "We know that they were loyal to Zhao as well. What else do they have to finish his work?"
"We believe that Talos intends to plague the world with his curse he attempted to create long ago by infusing his powers with the Dark Eco crystal." Chikara answered as she turned to Chase. "And it seems his curse has already begun."
The others turned to Chase with concern as he looked down at his medallion as it sparked off Dark Eco sparks.
"You mean… the Dark Eco is really a curse?" Chase asked in shock as Kon, Chikara, and Juto nodded back.
"I'm afraid they are right, Chase." Pakku said as the others turned to him. "Truthfully, we've heard of this tale long ago that the Dark Eco is like a virus that infects other organisms. It is said that its powers hold dangerous forces beyond our imaginings. But now it would be wise that you stop using your Lightning Element."
"What?" Clay asked in shock. "But why?"
"Yeah, I mean I have to protect the world with my powers. If there isn't any hope left, nopony will be around to live." Chase added.
"Unfortunately, Chase, the curse has already confirmed my fears." Kon said with concern. "When you battled the Lurkers Talos sent, they passed the Dark Eco powers into your medallion and into you. It's only a matter of time before you are lost with it. To be safe, until you are cured, you shouldn't use the Element of Lightning again."
"What?" Rainbow asked in shock and disbelief.
"Are you kiddin?" Applejack asked in shock.
"Why?" Fluttershy asked in shock.
"You cannot be serious." Rarity added equally shocked by this.
"It's not fair!" Pinkie exclaimed in surprise and despair.
Kon raised his hoof up, silencing girls before they could do anything.
"But my curiosity is this, how exactly did you get its energy?" Nandu Gili asked curiously as Chase, Jade, Trini, Antonio, Sokka, and Clay turned to Sunray angrily as he glared to the side.
Everypony was confused by this.
"What?" Spike asked curiously.
"It was my fault. I'm the one that got him into this." Sunray said bitterly, still not wanting to admit that he was still angry that Chase hadn't come back.
The others were shocked by this.
"So how do we get the Dark Eco out of Chase?" Clay asked Kon with concern.
"According to the scroll, the only way to lift the curse is to find all of the Eco Dragon crystals to create Light Eco." Nandu Gili said as he read the scroll and turned back to the others. "Then and only then will one be cured."
"And if the world must be protected once more from this dangerous menace, you and your family must stop it, Chase." Chen said while speaking directly to Chase. "If Talos has already begun the search, Equestria may now face grave danger."
Chase began to feel unsure about this as he walked to the side while the others watched him think.
"But Mom and Dad told us not to fight evil… and Kon is right…" Chase said as Santos and Jewel approached him.
"Chase… the time for hiding is over." Santos said as Chase turned to his father. "We must stop the Demodragons from plaguing the world."
"We don't have much time before the Solar Eclipse begins." Jewel added with a determined look she and Santos gave their son.
As Chase looks at his parents, he looks to his family and friends, while Sunray looks away bitterly, with looks of hope, begging for him to return to fight for the world. Seeing that they were all encouraging him, Chase smiled with determination.
"Then we better get started. It's time to send those demons to the Netherworld." Chase said with a smirk as the others cheered while the leaders smiled, proud of the alicorn master for making the right choice.
Kon wanted to argue, but seeing that Chase was more prepared to fight, weak or not, there was still some more hope as he smiled proudly at the alicorn prince.
"Then the time has come for you five to rise up." Celestia said as she looked at Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio. "First, you will have to find the Green Eco crystal. It is hidden deep in the chasm of the Everfree Forest. When it is done, you must head to the south part of Equestria to find the Continent of Mu no matter what the cost before the Demodragons rise the Dark Eco."
"When we have that, how do we get to that place?" Jade asked curiously.
"Well, normally, one of us would teleport you there, but we can't since it requires a teleporter gate." Chen said as he showed a teleporter gate not activated.
"So what's the quickest way to get to where we need to go?" Twilight asked with concern.
"The only other way south is go through the ocean, but since the Dark Eco has posined half of the marine life, it will be impossible to avoid such dangerous Lurker Sharks." Luna said as she turned to the Elite Ninja. "You will not be able to swim through it."
"But you could sail across it if you had a speed boat." A voice said as they turned to see a young unicorn stallion with yellow fur coat, red kimono, black pants, slight spiky mane and tail, and gray eyes.
The others, minus the rulers, Chen, Nandu Gili, Kon, Juto, and Chikara, looked at the unicorn stallion in slight surprise of him in the throne room.
Rarity shook her head at the sight of the stallion as her eyes went wide at the sight of his handsome features.
"I just happened to be working on such a thing at this very moment. All I would need is enough Eco power to give the speed boat's engine to head there. Isn't that right, Chen?" The unicorn asked Chen with a smile as Rarity gazed at him with a lovesick smile.
"Yes, Roby. That might work, but how long until the boat is ready for action?" Chen asked curiously as he whacked Rarity on the head with a bamboo staff, making her jump and rubbed her head in pain while glaring at the unicorn stallion.
"With the help of Queen Novo's hippogriffs, we'll have enough time to get this thing working while you guys gather up the Green Eco crystal." Roby answered as he turned to Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio.
"Well, we've got the brave adventurers at least." Antonio said with a smirk as his family smiled at him amusingly.
"Brave adventurer?!" Chen asked in disbelief and sternly. "You five couldn't find your way out of Canterlot without training. Before you even try to disobey Chase again, you better follow him so that you can collect the Green Eco crystal at the Everfree Forest."
"Uh, we won't find anymore of that Dark, gooey Eco stuff, will we? 'Cause I'd hate to fall into a silo and turn into you!" Antonio said while glaring at Chen, which Chase and Twilight face hoofed themselves in annoyance with their teeth clenched.
"Get moving! Before I turn you five into ferns!" Chen ordered strictly as Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio turned to each other before they nodded.
"Well, come on, guys. It's now or never." Chase said as he and his family walked away to get the job done.
"Chase, wait!" Twilight said as she trotted up to Chase, making her husband turn to her.
Twilight then kissed Chase on the cheek, making her husband blush a bit as he smiled at his wife.
"For luck, my love." Twilight said with a smile as Chase nodded before he went off to catch up with the others.
As the rest of the group began to get the preparations for the speed boat ready, Kon looked into the sky as he witnessed the sun shining. He began to worry that in almost a few days or less, it would be the end of all life.

Here's the fifth chapter for the story. I've added Roby from Lego Ninjago since you all are wondering when Rarity would find her special somepony, and he was the best one I could find. I did my best on the story telling of the Demodragons as well, including the Red Eyes Black Dragon and the Blue Eyes White Dragon from the Yu-gi-oh series. There's still some tension between Chase and Sunray until I work on the other chapter too. I'll be back later on to add some more in. This is what I got.
