(AN) Hello and welcome to the next chapter of Scorpion Rain; hope you all enjoy.

In the last chapter, the villains got away with the Marauldia, leaving the rangers beaten. This chapter will see Zedd and Rita putting the next phase of their plan into operation.

Disclaimer: I don't own Power Rangers; all characters and locations are owned by Netflix and Hasbro.

Chapter Two

Kat groaned as she slowly came to. The teen slowly sat up and saw Tommy looking at her in concern.

"Kat, are you okay?" asked Tommy in concern.

"Yeah, I'll be okay," replied Kat as she slowly staggered to her feet, "Where are Goldar and the others?"

"They got away with the Marauldia," replied the other teen in dismay, "Come on, we need to get back and warn the others."

Kat nodded in agreement.

The two then pressed a button on their communicators before teleporting away in beams of pink and red light.

Back in the power chamber, Alpha was taken by surprise when Kat and Tommy suddenly teleported in.

"Tommy, Kat, I'm very glad to see that you're unharmed," commented a relieved Zordon, "Did you succeed in preventing Goldar and Rito from obtaining the Marauldia.

"I'm afraid not, Zordon," replied Tommy, "Goldar and Rito had Scorpina with them. Me and Kat were ambushed and overwhelmed by them and a bunch of Zedd Putties and Tenga Warriors."

"Aye, aye, aye, aye, aye!" exclaimed Alpha in alarm.

"This is indeed grave news," remarked Zordon in a worried tone of voice, "That is not the only troubling news."

"I was just about to ask: where are Rocky and the others?" asked a worried sounding Kat, looking around for any sign of her friends.

"Lavorsta destroyed himself after battling the zords," informed the wizard gravely, "We have not managed to get in contact with any of the others thus far."

"What!" cried a horrified Tommy.

Suddenly, Tanya, Adam and Rocky teleported into the power chamber; all looking exhausted.

"Guys, you're alright!" cried Kat in relief as she and Tommy shared hugs with the others.

"Barely," remarked Tanya, "That Lavorsta thing's badly damaged most of the main zords, except for your one, Tommy. Our swords also got destroyed."

"We were ambushed by Rito, Goldar and some of their friends," informed Kat, "They've gotten away with the Marauldia."

"That's not good." said Adam.

"No, it is not," replied Zordon, "And I fear that Zedd will not only use Serpentera, but will also use an invasion force to attack Angel Grove That invasion force, combined with Serpentera will likely be used to conquer the world."

"Oh man!" exclaimed a horrified sounding Tommy.

"What do we do now?" asked Tanya.

"I am not entirely sure," replied Zordon earnestly, "But the one thing I do know is that you must be on guard: Lord Zedd and Rita could begin their invasion at any moment. But while you should be on guard, I would reccomend that you all go home for now and try to relax."

The teens just stood in silence; all wondering what would happen next.

In a large bunker of Rita and Zedd's palace, the duo were standing in front of Serpentera, while Goldar finished inserting the Marauldia into a hatch on Serpentera.

"Hahahahaha!" cackled Rita wickedly, "Now the invasion can begin!"

The evil couple chuckled to themselves as they danced about the room. Goldar would be piloting Serpentera, while the Zedd Putties, Tenga Warriors and Scorpina.

Rita and Zedd entered the throne room and found Rito and Master Vile waiting for them.

"Father, what are you doing here!" cried Rita in surprise.

"I'm here to help supervise your invasion force," informed Master Vile, "I hope for your sakes that you succeed this time. We wouldn't want a repeat of the Machine Empire driving you out, now would we?"

"I'm sure nothing like that will happen again!" retorted Zedd irritably.

"Good!" retorted Master Vile.

The group then walked over to the balcony and watched as Serpentera glided above the surface of the moon before heading in the direction of Earth.

Back in Angel Grove, the teens were sitting in the juice bar, eating and drinking. Even though Zordon had told them to relax, the rangers were all on edge; feeling as if chaos would break loose at any moment.

Kat decided that while everything was quiet, that she'd finally talk to Tommy and tell him how she really felt about him. The teen was about to open her mouth when suddenly, the whole room shook violently, causing her and the others to spring to their feet.

"Earthquake!" cried Rocky in alarm.

Everybody began screaming and running for the exit, while Ernie and Stone tried telling everyone to remain calm and evacuate in an orderly manner.

Once outside, the teens saw everybody else looking up and pointing to the sky. Upon looking up themselves, their eyes widened in horror at what they saw. Serpentera was flying over Angel Grove, firing energy beams down on to the city.

"Aww man!" uttered Rocky in shock.

Suddenly, a dozen Zedd Putties and Tenga Warriors appeared and began attacking the large crowd, causing them to run and scream.

Back in the power chamber, alarms wailed as Alpha ran around the consoles, flicking switches. "Aye, aye, aye, aye, aye!" he exclaimed in Alarm, "Angel Grove has been invaded by Rita and Zedd's forces!"

The little robot then flicked a few more switches before looking at the viewing globe. "Uh oh." he uttered in a frightened sounding voice.

An army of Zedd Putties and Tenga Warriors had arrived just outside the Power Chamber.

Back in Angel Grove, Rito and Scorpina suddenly appeared in a flash of lightning.

"Well, looks like the party's already started." quipped Rito, observing the chaos before him.

"Come on, let's find those pesky goody-goods and finish them once and for all." suggested Scorpina.

The duo then skipped into the chaos.

A taxi rolled up outside the Angel Grove police station. Bulk and Skull hopped out and quickly screamed in horror as they noticed that the streets were overrun with foot soldiers.

After paying the taxi driver, a shaking Skull walked over to Bulk and tapped him on the shoulder. "Bulk, what do we do?" he asked nervously.

"Hope that these monsters leave us alone." answered Bulk.

So, this story has actually changed direction a bit from what I had planned: initially, I was going to have a full subplot with Bulk and Skull in France, but I couldn't think of anything good, so here they are back in Angel Grove.

In the next chapter, we'll see the rangers and others protecting Angel Grove and the power chamber, as well as finally figuring out how to defeat Rita and Zedd.
