As the name implied, it was a beacon of hope, a bastion of safety, a symbol that had helped usher in a new age after the Great War that had so nearly doomed them all. Ashen Pine is summoned to Headmaster of Beacon's office to explain his very late entry into the entrance exam. It devolves into fighting the nightmare grimm and much later on the Salemist. Mostly an RWBY OC-centric story made up of fan kids.

Ruby's answer sweeps her away to a world where monsters & murderers roam, but as the job takes & takes from her, new questions she can't answer arise. What do silver eyes mean? How far will Ruby go for Ozpin? And why did Salem induct her so easily?
