"The house is depressing without Andre," Sofia says, leaning back in her chair as she looks back and forth from Alicia and Ricardo. "Am I alone in feeling that way?"
"No," Ricardo says. "I think even the twins are sadder without him around as much." He chucks a finger gently under Mariana's chin, watching her wave her fists, dark eyes staring back at him while Sofia tends to Clara.
"I've noticed as well, poor babies," Sofia says, gently tickling Clara. "You miss your big brother, don't you?" She clucks over them before Ricardo finishes tucking Mariana in.
"Maybe a trip to the park will help," he says, hoisting her up and resting her against his shoulder. "You up for it, Sofia?"
"Yes, I am," she says, easing Clara into her arms. "Let's go do that. I could use some fresh air while the weather is still beautiful."
He smiles at her. "I'll send Alicia a text in case she finishes with those errands before we get back home."
"Good idea," Sofia says, kissing the top of Clara's head. "Let's see about getting you little girls a bit happier, hm? At least until Andre comes home for the day."
Clara whines and both Sofia and Ricardo laugh sympathetically. "I know, I know," Sofia hums, rocking her back and forth a little as they walk outside. "You're going to be ok."
Andre in school means they have to find little activities like this to keep themselves occupied. It's more difficult than Ricardo expected. Unfortunately with his weekends spent working on 3 Legacies, it limits his time with Andre even more, which makes it all feel just a little worse.
For now, there's not a lot he can change about that so he focuses on what he can do, which is spending time with the twins and continuing to make 3 Legacies as much of a success as he can.
