"Alright, before everyone goes to bed, let's sing the school song together!" Dumbledore raised his wand and lightly tapped it, and a piece of text twisted from golden ribbons floated in front of everyone.

The members of Hogwarts' choir also appeared, and the prefect next to Albert was also one of them. The choir members in the front row were also holding large newt-shaped objects.

TL/N: I'm not quite sure what is meant here, I don't remember this from the books and I don't see anything in the wiki about a choir and some objects they hold, but I'll leave it in, because that's what it says.

As Dumbledore waved his wand, all the teachers and students began to sing the school song to the rhythm.

Albert was also among them, opening and closing his mouth as if he were singing.

There was no way around it. The song was very cheesy, and even the professors in the teachers' row had a somewhat stiff expression, clearly not very willing.

It's fine for children, but it was shameful for a group of adults to sing this kind of school song!

"Hogwarts, Hogwarts..." Next to Albert, the Weasley Brothers were singing to the melody of 'The Funeral March', completely out of step with everyone else, and the freshmen around them all turned their heads.

"...We will study hard until we turn to dust." After the song was over, the two of them were still singing softly. Albert suddenly felt the urge to cover his face and pretend he didn't know them.

After the final notes of the song, Dumbledore told everyone to go back to rest.

The entrance banquet finally came to an end, and everyone rushed to get out, causing instant traffic congestion.

Now, Albert understood why the new students were in the front row.

If they had followed the other years, they might have ended up in the wrong place. Just think of the scene when a Gryffindor student accidentally followed the wrong group and ended up in Hufflepuff's common room.

"New students, follow me." The prefect, who had just performed on stage, led the way for Gryffindor's new students.

He leads the way through the noisy crowd, out of the Feast Hall and up the marble staircase, where the new students are separated from the other Houses.

The new students walk through the corridors and around the castle, not on the legendary grand staircase.

There are many portraits hanging in the corridors, and the figures in them whisper to the new students as they pass by, and some of them even greet them.

The prefect leads the new students through the castle and there is no way of telling where a doorway is.

There is a closed wooden door in front of them, but they walk through the stone door on the opposite side. Some doors need to be touched at the right place before they open, and some are hidden behind curtains or portraits. But the worst is yet to come, because there is now an unlucky fella who has fallen into a trap. The stairs look like normal stairs, but at a certain step, you need to step over it, otherwise your foot will get stuck if you step into it.

For newcomers, it's a disaster.

"Are you okay?" Albert reached out and pulled Lee Jordan out.

"No." Lee Jordan said in a grumpy tone. "I was just startled. I don't understand why the school has so many weird things."

"I think it's very interesting, right George."

"I think so too."

"These are the defensive facilities left over from the past, and they have now become a major feature of Hogwarts." Albert explained, "Hurry up and keep up, I don't want to get lost."

After walking for an unknown length of time, Albert's legs were starting to feel a bit tired when they finally reached the eighth floor, and at the end of a long corridor. There was a portrait of a very fat woman hanging there. There was no doubt that this was the legendary Fat Lady, the keeper of Gryffindor Tower.

"Password?" she asked.

"Nonsense." The prefect said, and the portrait opened like a door, revealing a round hole behind it.

He didn't rush in, but turned to the new students and said, "You must remember the password. You can only enter the common room by saying the password to the Fat Lady. The password is 'Nonsense'."

After that, the prefect led everyone through the hole in the wall, which led to Gryffindor's common room.

It was an old, round room with lots of sofas. In one corner of the room, a fireplace was burning with Incendio, and next to it was a large pile of firewood. Several people were sitting on the sofa chatting, and after the newcomers entered, they looked over and waved to them.

"You're in luck. Tomorrow is Saturday, which means no classes. This is a rare opportunity. I suggest you spend these two days getting to know the castle. The castle is more complicated than you think. If you don't want to get lost, you'd better figure out where the classrooms are." The prefect finished speaking and pointed to two doors. "Girls, go that way. Boys, follow me."

After greeting the other female prefect, he led Albert and the others through the other door and down a narrow spiral staircase. Along the way, they encountered many doors, and the prefect introduced them to the new students' rooms, lavatories and bathrooms.

Of course, the bathrooms and showers were shared, but at least the showers had cubicles, thank goodness.

As for their own rooms, they had to find them themselves, and the doors were marked with their names.

Albert, the twins and Lee Jordan shared a room, which was only big enough for four people.

The room was not very big, with four beds with curtains and their respective luggage by the beds.

Albert easily found his suitcase and, yawning, pulled out his pyjamas and changed into them.

"I look forward to many adventures together." Albert said, smiling, as he greeted the other three.

"We look forward to many adventures together." the four of them said, laughing.

"Tomorrow, I'm going to explore the castle. Are you coming?" Albert took his camera out of his suitcase and stepped back to the door to take a photo of his bedroom.

"Of course. Remember to wake me up in the morning," the twins said in unison, looking at each other.

"What about you?" The three of them looked at Lee Jordan.

"Of course, I'll go with you." The black guy obviously didn't want to be left alone.

"Good night."

Lying in bed, while he was very sleepy, but still couldn't sleep. Albert always had trouble sleeping when he arrived in a new place.

The others obviously didn't have the same problem. They had just eaten their fill, and after lying in bed for a short while, they fell asleep.

Albert turned over and opened his Quest panel. The original exploration progress had already reached 3%.

He wondered how much he would get from exploring the castle tomorrow. He flipped through his skill list, which was several pages long.

Most of the magic was only level 1, and a few of them he had not yet mastered.

Looking at the skills that were still at level 0, Albert suddenly felt an urge to spend experience points to level them up to 1.

This is a bad habit from playing games in the past, always habitually filling up skill points.

Albert took a deep breath and closed the panel, lest he accidentally spend all the hard-earned experience. This experience could affect his life in the future.

In a daze, Albert fell asleep. He had a dream in which he saw himself in his last life, holding a book and flipping through the pages. He still remembered that it was the first time he had ever come into contact with the book Harry Potter.

"Is all of this a dream?"

No, it's not a dream. He had already confirmed this over and over again the moment he opened his eyes again after his death.

This is not a dream.

He always felt like the author of a fan fiction, creating another Harry Potter fan fiction of his own. Only this time, he couldn't depict the content of his own imagination as freely as a writer.

Ah, being a literary person is a curse.
