By the time the four of them had finished their Butterbeer and emerged from the Three Broomsticks, the rain outside had lightened.
"Let's go to Zonko's Joke Shop first!" Fred suggested, worried that the four of them would spend what little change they had left when going to Honeydukes Sweetshop.
"Okay." Albert's eyes moved away from the candy shop, he was actually a little curious as to what exactly was sold in the joke shop that could make the three of them become so entranced.
Zonko's Joke Shop was right next to Honeydukes Sweetshop, just separated by a residential house, and the shop here was similar to the candy shop next to it, with a large glass window displaying all kinds of joke props.
The bell behind the door rang as the four pushed their way in.
"Welcome." Zonko put down his newspaper and stood up from behind the counter, smiling as he welcomed the four young guests. It was a Wizard in his 40s with an affable smile on his face.
The joke shop had quite a variety of merchandise, and Albert put away his umbrella and walked over to the window, surveying the items on it.
"Automatic answer quill." Albert softly pronounced the name of the quill.
"This is to help you cope with pesky subjects, it can answer most of the questions." Like a qualified salesman, Zonko introduced the functions of the quill with a humorous tone to Albert.
"A good thing indeed." Albert casually responded, in his heart he was not impressed, selling him this thing was like giving reference answers to straight-A student.
He obviously didn't need it.
Next to the other was a broom, and Albert looked at his introduction: Storming Broom.
When a Wizard tries to fly in mid-air on it, the broom reverses, sending the Wizard flying, and there are 5 modes including berserk spinning, extreme braking, and throwing people out.
The broom can fly up to 3 metres high.
It was also a toy broom that cost 15 galleons.
Albert's face twitched and he turned his head to look at Fred, George and Lee Jordan, who were picking items from the counter on the other side. He walked over and saw that the row of cabinets were arranged with a bar of soap, and there were some black dots inside the soap.
Frog egg soap.
This was the introduction of that joke item of props, and when you washed yourself with it, you would get dirtier and dirtier.
Next to these soaps were individual teacups, Albert didn't reach out to touch them because they were labelled, nose-biting teacups.
Once someone drank tea from this teacup, it would suddenly bite that person's nose and splash the hot tea in the teacup.
Okay!
One slip up and I guess even Wizards will get hit.
"What are you guys going to buy?" Albert opened his mouth to enquire.
"Dungbombs." The twins said in unison.
"Burp candy and squeaky fudge." Albert was too embarrassed to buy nothing and bought a few random candies.
Burp Candy was a hard candy that would make you burp for five minutes after eating it. As for the squeaky fudge, it was shaped like a small mouse, Fred took the initiative to try one, and when he bit into it, he would let out a mouse-like squeal as if he really bit into a small mouse, and his mouth stood open so far that the fudge in his mouth fell to the ground.
"How does it taste?" Albert asked curiously.
"Not bad, like regular fudge."
"What did you buy?" Albert looked to Lee Jordan.
"I want to buy this." He pointed to a flying disc with sharp teeth on it.
"This is a Fanged Frisbee." Zonko picked up a frisbee and threw it, all four heard a growl coming from the whirring frisbee, "You need to be careful when playing with this, don't get bitten."
He took a slip of paper and put it in the frisbee's mouth, blinking before it was shredded into pieces of paper.
That's a good bite.
"I'll see if there's anything else." Lee Jordan looked at the price and was a little lost this thing cost three galleons, not a cheap price!
Before leaving, Albert purchased two more Screaming Inflatable Skeleton, this thing is as big as his fist and when thrown out, it will quickly inflate into a person height, and let out a scream to scare people, when it explodes, it will also waft white powder and stick to everyone around it.
Lee Jordan, on the other hand, bought a copy of the sticky retractable hand, which can be retracted at will, and when thrown, it will grab the ear of the person closest to it, and although it won't hurt, it will emit a snapping sound when retracted, scaring the other person.
All four left with large paper bags in their arms, filled with things they had bought at Zonko's joke shop.
Lee Jordan also bought a bag of dungbombs.
All three were curious that Albert hadn't bought any.
It was pretty much a must buy when they came to Zonko's Joke Shop.
"No, I'm not into that kind of stuff." Albert said without a smile.
The thing would get dirty just by reaching out and touching it, and even more so when thrown, it would explode into disgusting sludge, and it would also give off a disgusting rotten egg smell.
It was like a biochemical weapon.
"You guys better not stink up the dorm." Albert warned seriously.
"Don't worry, we'll be careful, we bought this to use on Filch." George was obviously still hung up on the fact that he had been punished to clean the night pots.
"That place is great isn't it?" Fred asked with a grin.
"It's interesting." Albert nodded his head in acknowledgement, he suddenly remembered something and said, "You guys seem to like all this joke stuff, maybe, you could open up a similar joke shop in the future."
He remembered that the twins did open a joke shop after graduation, and it was doing quite well.
"That's not a bad idea." The twins' eyes lit up, unlike Albert, they had never really considered what they were going to do in the future.
"I think you guys need to learn charms and these things involve Alchemy as well." Albert reminded as he picked up a candy and looked at it.
"What about yourself?"
"I haven't decided yet." Albert was still considering well,
He had no intention of giving up his foray into New York finance, after all, it was an easy job, according to his current hoard of experience and Quest settlements, when he graduated, he would be able to level up various economics and finance skills, lying down and making money was really more suitable for him, right?
It seems that the prophecy seems to be good, you can predict that the lottery is suitable for the lottery, just win a hundred million dollars or something.
Time Turner are also good, you can win the lottery anytime, anywhere.
That said, with these it's easy to make money in finance.
Albert found that using magic to make money in a reasonable way was also a good note, but the only problem was that once the Ministry of Magic found out, there could be trouble.
Prophecy might be a bit better, after all, as long as no one knew he was a prophet there would be no problem.
Just as Albert was contemplating the good times ahead, the four of them walked into the Honeydukes Sweetshop, in spite of the fact that the twins had already spent their allowance at Zonko's Joke Shop. At least they could get a good idea what they offered and wait until the next time they had the money to buy sweets.
