The second class for Gryffindor freshmen was History of Magic, which was undoubtedly the most boring class at Hogwarts, bar none.
The History of Magic classroom was located on the second floor of Hogwarts castle, and Gryffindor freshmen would have twenty minutes after finishing their first class.
However, due to Albert's long chat with Professor Flitwick, they had to speed up their pace to rush to the History of Magic classroom.
By the time the four of them arrived at the History of Magic classroom, the administrator, Argus Filch, had already come over to open the door, after all, Professor Binns, who was a Ghost, couldn't open the door for everyone.
Gryffindors History of Magic was held together with Ravenclaw, and everyone sat in their respective seats chatting before class.
Albert ignored the twin brothers who were horsing around and took a box with Every Flavor Beans out of his pocket, picking a blue bean and tossing it into his mouth, chewing and realising it was blueberry flavoured.
"Lucky." Albert grunted as he pulled the History of Magic out of his book bag along with the Anthology of Nineteenth Century Charms, and with the cover of reading the book, flicked through his list of skills.
After the magic spells class, Albert found that he had gained another skill: Magic Spell Theory.
In Albert's memory, this kind of basic skill was very useful, so he immediately upgraded Magic Spell Theory to level 1. He carefully recalled the extra portion of Knowledge Theory of Charms in his head and couldn't help but frown, the effect of only levelling up to 1 didn't seem to be very effective.
How could he say that?
His own Knowledge Theory of charms had indeed improved, but Albert had a feeling that it was just like that, most of the knowledge was actually not difficult to understand as long as it was pointed out, which was why he had the illusion that it was nothing special.
While pondering the knowledge of the Illumination Charm, Albert took Every Flavor Beans and threw them into his mouth, as if he was eating chocolate beans.
In the next moment, he reached up and covered his mouth, there was a fiery flavour escaping in his mouth.
Damn, that was a chilli flavoured Every Flavor Beans he had just eaten, and it was spicy up enough to vow never to eat the stuff while distracted again.
"What's wrong with you?" Fred noticed the change in Albert.
"Every Flavor Beans, chilli flavoured." Albert pointed to the small box on the table, the Every Flavor Beans he had bought on the train last time hadn't been eaten until now.
"Every bite is a great adventure." Fred gloated in schadenfreude, not forgetting to tease Albert by reciting the Every Flavour Beans jingle.
Albert glared hard at the guy in front of him and pulled another milk candy out of his pocket and stuffed it into his mouth to ease the spice, handing Fred the Every Flavor Beans in the process.
"Be extra careful with the Every Flavor Beans." Fred pinched one and tossed it into his mouth to chew it up, "Spinach flavour."
"Mine was strawberry flavour." George announced cheerfully.
"I like these..." Lee Jordan chimed in, picking one and tossing it into his mouth.
"You guys want them?" Albert asked, shaking the box towards the others.
As soon as the words left his mouth, Lee Jordan's voice came from beside him.
"Rotten egg flavour, so gross." The black boys cheeks contorted as he spat the Every Flavor Beans he was chewing in his mouth onto the floor.
A Ravenclaw girl next to him cast a disgusted look at Lee Jordan.
Noticing the other girl's look, Lee Jordan blushed a little in embarrassment and scratched his head in embarrassment.
"Scourgify." Albert raised his wand and pointed at Lee Jordan's vomit, casually tossing the other a fruit candy.
"I'll never eat Every Flavor Beans again." Lee Jordan swore.
"You've said that more than once." George teased. He ate another one, a marmalade flavoured one.
After Lee Jordan's incident, everyone stayed away from Albert's little box of Every Flavor Beans, they didn't want to eat anything weird.
"What magic did you just use?" The Ravenclaw girl introduced herself, "My name is Katrina MacDougal."
"Hello Katrina, I'm Albert Anderson." Albert popped another piece of chocolate into his mouth and chewed until the fiery taste in his mouth subsided, "That was a Scouring Charm just now, a very practical piece of magic."
"Most freshmen aren't going to be as good at magic as you are, even if they have family members who teach them ahead of time. And..." Katrina said as she swept her eyes over the copy of Anthology of Nineteenth Century Charms Albert was flipping through, "I bet the sorting hat put you into the wrong House."
"There's nothing wrong with Gryffindor." Albert didn't care for the girls words, "And... I come from a muggle family."
"That can't be true, only chilidren from a household of wizards get tought magic in advance." Katrina had a slightly dismayed look on her face.
"I've heard... that there's a question that needs to be answered to enter the Ravenclaw's common room..." Albert stiffly digressed, not wanting to argue about his lineage.
"Yes, one needs to answer the question of the eagle shaped bronze door ring before being allowed to be able to enter the Ravenclaw common room." Katrina retorted as she shot Albert a suspicious look, "I'm curious though, how did you know about this? A lot of people don't know how to get into the common rooms of other Houses."
"I happened to hear a Ravenclaw student complaining about not being able to answer questions and being left outside the common room or something like that." Albert blurted out.
"Oh!" Katrina was still a bit sceptical of Albert, after all, the chances of encountering such a thing were not great.
"Do you guys ever get the feeling that Albert can talk to anyone?" George, sitting next to him, mumbled in a small voice.
Fred nodded his head back and forth, Lee Jordan agreed as he reached over and took another Every Flavor Bean out of the box, the guy actually liked them.
Albert glared at the trio and asked with a light cough, "Tell us all what interesting problems you've been having?"
"Phoenix or fire, which came first?" Katrina picked a question she happened to know the answer to.
"What do you guys think?" Albert turned his head to look at the twin brothers.
"I think the Phoenix should have come first?" Fred said.
"I think so too?" George immediately chimed in.
"'Why?" Lee Jordan asked in disbelief.
"Guessing, of course!" The twins said in unison, the look of entitlement amusing everyone.
Albert couldn't help but laugh as well.
"What about you?" Katrina asked again.
"There's a similar problem in the muggle world." Albert didn't answer the girl and continued, "Is it the chicken or the egg that came first?"
"What is the answer to that one?" Katrina asked curiously. She felt that she had already guessed the answer.
"The chicken came first." Albert replied, and the answer was decidedly different from what Katrina had thought.
"Why?"
Albert explained: "How in the world can an egg appear for no reason?"
Katrina shook her head, "That's not a good reason."
