On Today's Episode: With Other Nick now squarely in Captain Dread's clutches, the spies must hurry and traverse the depths of the Shatterverse in order to catch up with them before Captain Dread takes back the remaining Prism Energy and becomes truly unstoppable. Even if Nick did bring something to even the odds, will it mean anything against someone who can warp reality as they please? ...or is Captain Dread toying with a power she can't possibly control?
Act 2: Avoid the Void
11:45 A.M. – Depths of the Shatterverse
The spies were standing there stunned that Other Nick ACTUALLY CONCEDED to surrendering to Captain Dread.
"Oh, tell me that did not just happen..." Other Alex chastised.
"This guy's got a real problem with accepting guilt," Blaine commented.
"Never mind the guilt," Haruka proclaimed. "We'd better go after them, right now."
"Wait, didn't Captain Dread make a promise to spare us?" Mat wondered.
"I wouldn't count on expecting Captain Dread to keep her word," Nozomi deduced.
"Yeah, with that look in her eyes, I highly doubt she's actually going to honor that promise," May added in agreement.
"That leaves one problem, though," Britney stated. " Where did they go?!"
"Great... another needle in a haystack..." Clover complained.
"That's gonna be hard," Sortiliena bluntly replied since Jerry and RiCO were not here this time.
"Wait a minute, I think I have an idea!" Sam told the others again. "Maybe I can track Captain Dread by tracking the energy signature of the Paradox Prism!"
"Once again with the brilliant mind, Sammy," Nick quipped. "And just in time, because I think we need to scoot our collective asses towards that energy signature before Captain Dread gets her hands on that power."
"All right, then," Bridget proclaimed. "As the speedster, allow me to lead the way!"
"Here goes nothing..." Alex quipped as Bridget did her thing.
"We're coming for ya, other Nick, just hang in there!" Bridget exclaimed. "Sonic Mode, online!"
After transforming, Bridget waited for Sam to point in the direction that the energy signature she was tracking was coming from before speeding off in that direction.
"...wow, you guys are actually pretty cool," Other Alex chuckled as the rest of the spies followed Bridget as quickly as they could. "We don't have anything like that in our W.O.O.H.P., sadly."
"Maybe you could ask Jerry to look into tech like that once this is all over," Haruka quipped.
"I really wish I could be as optimistic as all of you," Other Alex sighed. "I mean, Captain Dread's already got the Paradox Prism, and she's probably not gonna waste any time in extracting that Prism Energy from my Nick, and then we're really up a creek..."
"I don't think we've told you much about our escapades, but I'm still pretty confident we've got a shot at beating that whacked-out version of me," May proclaimed, catching Other Alex off-guard. "We've faced off against a bunch of crazy, cataclysm-level threats in our spy careers, and some way or another, we've always come out on top."
"Just as examples, we took care of a crazy witch who could bend space and time to her whims twice," Nick explained. "We've stomped an alien warlord who thought he was all that but really wasn't, a cyborg version of Terrence who just about ripped all of reality apart, and not to mention all kinds of threats hailing from other dimensions."
"Yeah, not to brag, but we've got quite the feathers in our cap," Nozomi chuckled.
"And I'm pretty sure my trump card will at least even the odds for us," Nick stated.
"I sincerely hope you're right," Other Alex responded. "But let's go find Nick first, and quickly."
The spies continued to traverse the depths of the Shatterverse in hopes of finding Other Nick before it was too late.
Meanwhile, further into the depths, Captain Dread floated slowly around the trapped Other Nick.
"You wanna explain why you took me here of all places to take that power back?" Other Nick wondered. "It can't just be for the aesthetic."
That was when Other Nick noticed something very peculiar about this area. Around the center of the 'cave' they were in was what appeared to be a transparent outline of the Paradox Prism.
And Other Nick couldn't help but gasp in shock when he recognized it. This was the cave where he and his spy team had discovered the Paradox Prism before a fight had broken out to keep Scam from claiming it.
"Obviously, the Paradox Prism can't truly be re-forged if all of its components aren't returned to the place where it originated," Captain Dread quipped. "Hence why I brought you here."
"...if you're going to take my Prism Energy back, just get it over with," Other Nick groaned. "I'm not in the mood for long and cliché speeches."
Captain Dread decided to oblige, floating downwards to place her hand on Other Nick's chest. The Paradox Prism that was stuck to her back began to glow brightly as a stream of silvery-violet light extracted itself from Other Nick's body and flowed back into the Paradox Prism. Once the remaining energy was back inside it, the Paradox Prism began to shine with all of its component colors.
"Marvelous," Captain Dread proclaimed, feeling the sheer power coursing through her body. "Now I can cleanse myself of the chaff."
"W-Wait, I thought you said you were going to spare them!" Other Nick exclaimed. "You promised me!"
"It's not as if I'm going to kill them," Captain Dread responded. "I just need to deal with them in a more... 'permanent' manner, shall we say. They still don't seem to understand why I need this power, so I guess I have to drill it into their heads."
Captain Dread looked up towards the distorted violet sky that permeated the entirety of the Shatterverse.
"...but maybe, I'll just wait for them to come to me," Captain Dread chuckled. "Give them some hope before I crush it in my palms. How about we have some fun first, though?"
As Captain Dread raised her hand to channel the power of the Paradox Prism, she didn't notice that Other Nick's body was starting to turn slightly transparent.
Back with the spies, they kept moving through what was now a colorless and distorted version of Beverly Hills, past familiar buildings and landmarks and even more phantoms of people from this dimension, repeating the same lines ad nauseum.
"This is so freaky," Alex admitted. "Is this really all that's left of this dimension?"
"It's gonna get worse if we don't hurry," Bridget stated as she waited for Sam to giver another signal before blitzing off in that direction...
...only to run head-long into something and bounce back.
"Wh-what the hell?!" Bridget gasped.
The spies all looked towards whatever had formed to get in their way, only to see...
"Wait, wait, it's Tim Scam?" Haruka groaned.
"He looks different," Nozomi noted. "Maybe it's the Scam from this dimension?"
"Yeah, that's the Scam we know," Other Alex admitted. "I could never forget that face no matter how hard I try."
"I think it's just another one of those phantoms, though," Sam noted.
"...I don't know, Sammy, something about this one kinda gives me bad vibes," Nick quipped.
And Nick was definitely wise to be cautious, as instead of repeating one particular line for infinity, this Phantom Scam sneered in his usual way and started approaching the spies.
"Um, guys, he's coming right at us!" Melissa shouted.
Phantom Scam took a step back before lunging forward to attack the spies, only for Sortiliena to lash out with a flying windmill kick to counter it.
"Phantom or not, you're not touching any of us as long as we've got something to say about it," Sortiliena taunted.
Phantom Scam quickly recovered and prepared to fight.
"At least this one doesn't talk," Sam sighed. "That's some kind of relief."
"Shall we stomp him, everyone?" May proclaimed, summoning her anchor to her hands as the spies prepared for battle.
The spies did what they could on Phantom Scam, but some of their punches went right through him like earlier with Clover and Mandy arguing.
"How's that happening?" Mat wondered.
May tried hurling her anchor at Phantom Scam, and it was hard enough to whack him and send him to the ground.
"If he's a phantom, none of our attacks would be of use," Sam replied.
"No doubt," Bridget deduced.
The spies could not get a moment to think up a plan while Phantom Scam kept attacking them, and they had to dodge each attack.
"This is getting a little monotonous," Haruka commented.
"Then let's fix that, shall we?" Nick quipped as he raised his hands and fired a barrage of psychic bolts towards Phantom Scam as he approached, then clapped his hands together to make them all converge on Phantom Scam at once, flooring the phantom quickly.
"My serve!" Sortiliena exclaimed as she lunged forward to yank Phantom Scam to his feet, then knock him into the air with a rising uppercut. Other Alex quickly got the message, leapfrogging off of Sortiliena's shoulders to volleyball spike Phantom Scam back into the ground.
"I'm the volleyball champ in my school," Other Alex taunted. "Don't mess with my serve."
That was when Phantom Scam, still silent and all, pulled off something the spies didn't think they'd see. He used his left hand as a makeshift gun on the spies.
"What the heck?!" Clover chastised.
Phantom Scam fired some kind of liquid out that split into many different blobs; they all landed on the spies' wrists and ankles and locked around them.
"What in the world?!" May complained.
Remaining silent, Phantom Scam immediately disappeared, fully confident the spies were dealt with.
"I don't know what this is, but we sure have to get out of this predicament..." Blaine remarked.
All the spies tried to move their arms and legs, but they were lucky to move them two inches.
"We have to find some way to break these off!" Bridget exclaimed.
Sam had an idea and tried to hop over to Mat. It took quite a bit of energy and effort, but she reached him.
"Mat, can I try reach your Laser Heat Curling Iron?" Sam offered.
"I was thinking of trying the same thing for that matter," Mat told Sam. "Left side."
Sam tried to reach for said gadget and grabbed it.
"Okay, let's see..." Sam stated and tried to fire at the substance.
Despite Mat feeling his wrists become hot from the Laser Heat Curling Iron welding against the substance, he just gritted his teeth, and the substance dissolved.
"I don't know what that goop was," Mat stated. "But I was just hoping something worked..."
"I'm just glad and surprised we thought the same thing," Sam giggled.
"What about us?" Nick pointed out.
"We're on it," Sam quipped.
With that, the two got straight to work to free everybody else.
"Appreciate the smart thinking, Sammy," Alex quipped.
"Where do we go now?" Clover wondered.
Sam quickly flipped open her X-Powder to resume tracking the energy being given off by the Paradox Prism, hoping it would lead them to Other Nick before it was too late.
"So, what exactly happened after all of this?" May asked Other Alex as the group set off. "Did you and your Nick have, like, a lover's spat or something? Because, if I remember correctly, you had a laser gun pointed at my Nick's head while we were sick that one time."
Other Alex noticeably flinched at that, now that her mind was calm again. "...yeah, I really have no excuse for how I acted," Other Alex sighed. "I didn't actually start getting angry until I found myself in the Shatterverse and I realized what had happened. I guess I just let the realization get the better of me, and... I dunno, I just wanted him to feel some remorse for it, but my stupid dumb mind was too caught up in my rage to even realize that he was trying desperately to fix things."
Other Alex looked up at the roof of the high school, even if it was mostly transparent and showed the dark violet sky of the Shatterverse.
"...and you want to know what the worst part is?" Other Alex sighed. "I never actually apologized to him for saying the things I did to him. I acknowledged I'd screwed up in blaming him, but I never actually got to say 'I'm sorry' because we were so busy fighting Captain Dread and getting the Prism Shards back."
Other Alex suddenly started to cry, the pent-up emotion of everything that had happened since that day finally spilling over. "And now... now I'm worried that I'll never get to tell him..."
"Hey, we'll get him back, that's a promise," Nick responded almost instantly. "And we'll make Captain Dread regret trying to use a power she clearly can't control."
"Let's just hope we can find Other Nick before Captain Dread has her way with him," Nozomi quipped. "I don't know if she's the kind that'll just get right to business or just wait to try and toy with us..."
"Can you lock onto him, other me?" Alex asked.
Other Alex flipped open her own X-Powder, surprised she hadn't lost it in all of this chaos, and attempted to track Other Nick's signal. Much to her surprise, she managed to find a weak but still active signal.
"H-Hey, I think I've got his signal," Other Alex gasped. "It's a little garbled, but it's definitely there."
"It's probably garbled because of all this," Sortiliena quipped. "Regardless, I think that's our cue to scoot and find him before something goes wrong."
The spies all kept moving, heading through more distorted Beverly Hills landmarks, including a part of the old Beverly Hills mall that was inexplicably inside the school walls, and even what appeared to be a few rooms of the spies' beach house (in this dimension specifically) nestled between the gymnasium and the computer labs.
Eventually, the group managed to find a passageway hiding behind one of the printers in the lab, following it downward and downward until they came out in what seemed like a large, circular cave surrounded by the same violet crystal formations that dotted most of the Shatterverse.
"Okay, I don't see any other way onward," Bridget noted. "Should I go Sonic Mode and make one?"
"Wait, wait, hold on, I recognize this cave," Other Alex gasped. "If I remember correctly, this is the exact cave where we found the Paradox Prism before everything got fudged."
"I'd stay on your toes, everyone," Nick stated. "I've got a bad feeling about all of this."
But before the spies could investigate the cave, Other Alex noticed somebody on the opposite end of the cave.
"N-Nick?!" Other Alex exclaimed as she rushed over to see if it was actually him. Much to her relief, it was Other Nick, but she quickly noticed that he looked slightly transparent, and was panting heavily as if he was in pain.
"N-Nick, what's wrong?" Other Alex asked.
Other Nick looked up as best he could.
"R-R... Run," Other Nick wheezed.
"Wait, what do you mean by that?" Other Alex wondered.
Before she could get an answer, Other Alex was suddenly sent flying into the air by an upwards column of water exploding out from underneath her. As she went flipping into the air, sharp vines burst out from the crystal walls to ensnare all of her limbs.
"All right, who's the wise guy?!" Haruka shouted.
"Let her go!" Nick exclaimed, his psychic aura bursting to life around him.
"...well, if you insist."
A barrage of wicked lightning bolts erupted from out of nowhere and blasted Other Alex, sending her crashing back into one of the crystal walls. The spies looked up just in time to see Captain Dread floating down to greet them, still wearing the Paradox Prism on her back like an accessory, only now it was glowing multiple colors.
"...oh, no," Sam gasped when she realized what had happened.
"Well, well, I was waiting for you to find me," Captain Dread laughed. "And look, you didn't disappoint me. But I'm afraid that you're too late. I've already taken back the missing Prism Energy from that ripoff."
"Wait, does that mean...?" Melissa stuttered.
"Why, yes, it does mean that you're too late," Captain Dread proclaimed. "The full power of the Paradox Prism is officially mine. And while I could just fix my problems right now, I do need to get rid of all of you. After all..."
Captain Dread's grin turned sinister in a way that actually unnerved the spies.
"...you all have been a thorn in my side for far too long."
Captain Dread didn't give the spies any chance to react, warping over to them to grab Alex by the collar, spin her around, and slam her into a nearby crystal wall.
"You fought so hard to stop me, and it didn't mean anything in the end, did it?" Captain Dread taunted. "If only you hadn't gotten distracted by mere phantoms..."
"Hold on just a chicken-fried minute, that was you who sent that phantom Tim Scam after us?!" Mat shouted.
"It's such a shame that all of this sudden intelligence comes far too late for you to do anything about it," Captain Dread chuckled. "Yes, I conjured that phantom to keep you all busy while I regained what is rightfully mine. And now... you're all doomed."
While the spies attempted to formulate a plan, Nick reached into his Jetpack Backpack, ready to pull out his trump card.
"I wouldn't count us out just yet, you cheap ripoff," Alex retorted.
"Oh? And why, pray tell, is that?" Captain Dread taunted.
"You clearly don't know much about the threats that we've toppled," Alex explained.
"Ask me when and if I should care," Captain Dread laughed before glaring Alex down. "What part of 'I literally have the power to rewrite reality itself' isn't sinking in for you?"
"Hey, we faced a villain who could manipulate space and time at her own whims," Alex giggled. "And we beat her twice. I'm not scared of a mockery like you."
"Ooh, you're going to regret that, you know," Captain Dread growled before reaching back to attack, only to be stopped when she noticed a bright flash of golden light from close by.
("Reverse Rose" by Brandon Yates plays)
"See?" Alex laughed. "We're not out of options yet."
Captain Dread took a chance and turned around to see what had caused that flash.
Nick had absorbed the seven Psy-Stones to supercharge himself, now surrounded by an utterly gigantic aura of pure golden light, almost like a stage curtain of energy instead of the simple body-glow it normally was. Nick's hands were surrounded by spheres of yellow light, and his eyes had changed from brown to a sharp golden yellow.
"Now I'd say we're pretty even," Nick proclaimed. "You need to stop this right now, Captain Dread. You're toying with a power that's clearly beyond your control."
"Oh, and what would you know!?" Captain Dread shouted back. "I know exactly what I'm doing!"
"Doesn't seem like it," Nick chuckled, trying to provoke Captain Dread into attacking.
To Nick's amusement, she took the bait and blitzed forward to strike. Nick met her halfway, and they started clashing while flying higher into the sky.
"You all go see what's wrong with other me, and get Other Alex back on her feet!" Nick shouted. "I'll hold the 'good' captain off!"
"Roger that!" Alex responded as Sortiliena split off to check on Other Alex and the rest of the spies moved to help Other Nick out while Nick continued to clash with Captain Dread.
"And careful, Nick!" May exclaimed.
"Careful is my middle name," Nick quipped.
Sam used her X-Powder to scan Other Nick, who had been turned transparent.
"What do you got, Sammy?" Alex wondered.
"...this is strange," Sam stated. "According to my analysis, he... appears to be fading out of existence! His signal's fading slowly!"
"Is that even possible?!" Bridget gasped.
"How do we save him?" May asked, worriedly.
"I haven't gotten that far yet," Sam told her.
"He isn't a vampire, but not sure if any garlic would help us," Mat commented.
"Mat, I think garlic KILLS vampires if my memory is right," Dawn pointed out.
"Maybe water, then?" Alex guessed.
"I think it's worth a try," Nozomi replied.
"INCOMING!" May shouted, and the other spies scattered in different directions as both Nick and Captain Dread clashed nearby.
"Why don't we try something different?" Captain Dread laughed as she spread her hands out and used the Paradox Prism to change the scenery to what appeared to be an office building.
"Really?" Nick taunted as he and Captain Dread flew back up into the air again.
Fortunately, the spies didn't have to look far for any sprinklers or any water nearby, as there were two sprinklers located on the roof.
"Well, here goes nothing," Sam replied.
Clover, Haruka, and Mat all joined in making some kind of makeshift fire to get the sprinklers activated.
May just watched, hoping this would work and the plan B would not need to be used.
"I think we got it!" Haruka exclaimed when the sprinklers got activated.
The water came raining down on Other Nick hoping it would do something. Sadly, it didn't seem to leave any visible change on Other Nick.
"...rats," Haruka groaned.
"There has to be more that we can do!" Melissa exclaimed.
"You okay?" Sortiliena asked as she helped Other Alex get to her feet.
"...my head's kinda spinny from that, but I should be fine," Other Alex answered. "Is... is Nick...?"
"Our Nick is dealing with Captain Dread right now," Sortiliena quipped. " Your Nick... well, it's a little odd."
"Wait, what do you mean?" Other Alex gasped.
"I hope that did something," Sortiliena remarked after things seemed to be squared away before checking in with the other spies.
"Is it working now?" Mat wondered.
"I can't tell," Bridget remarked.
"Do we need a 'Plan B' in that case?" Melissa wondered.
"I wonder if it has something to do with the Prism Energy that Captain Dread extracted from him," May quipped, catching everyone's attention. "Maybe it being forcefully extracted like it was is having an adverse effect on him?"
A bright flash of light caught the spies' attention, and they all looked up towards the 'sky' (which was currently a roof) to see both Nick and Captain Dread still clashing with each other.
"You're unbearably stubborn, you know that?" Captain Dread quipped, clapping her hands together to unleash a barrage of razor-sharp icicles towards Nick.
Nick quickly countered by raising a psychic barrier to block the icicles before retaliating with a rapid-fire barrage of psychic bolts. Captain Dread swiftly dodged each one, only to realize too late what Nick had planned.
"This is why you keep your eye on the birdie," Nick chuckled as he snapped his fingers.
But in an inversion of what usually happened with this particular attack, Captain Dread snapped her own fingers and sent a wave of light out from her body that forced all of the psychic bolts to start firing back on Nick.
Nick dodged and weaved through the bolts, having clearly not expected his attack to be turned back on him.
"Do you see now?" Captain Dread laughed. "I clearly have all the power in this situation."
"Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before," Nick taunted. "But should you really be using all that reality-bending power to fight me?"
"Is this the part where you say something 'armor-piercing' in order to get me to drop my guard and sucker punch me?" Captain Dread quipped. "Not freakin' likely. How about I show you who really holds all the power?!"
Captain Dread spread her hands out and used the Paradox Prism to change the scenery yet again, this time to what appeared to be Clover's old house.
"Wait, what the heck?!" Clover gasped.
"There's nothing you can do, you know," Captain Dread cackled. "That dumb little power-up of yours can't protect you forever."
"Oh, we'll see about that," Nick retorted as he rushed to clash with Captain Dread again, the two of them trading physical blows rapidly across the house, their battle wrecking multiple parts of the house.
Captain Dread summoned an anchor to her hands before charging forward, swinging it to smash down a nearby wall in an attempt to crush Nick underneath it. What actually happened was May jumped in and swung her own anchor to counter Captain Dread's anchor.
"Everything okay down there, May?" Nick wondered.
"Other Alex is mostly shaken up, but she'll be fine," May stated. "Other you, on the other hand, isn't looking too good. It's almost like he's fading out of existence itself..."
"That's because he is," Captain Dread chuckled. "You see, he became an anomaly of sorts when he shattered the Paradox Prism and created the Shatterverse, because he still had some of the Prism Energy inside himself because of that. Now that I've taken it back, he's slowly fading away. Serves him right, really."
"What happened to your supposedly 'noble' goal of using the Paradox Prism to bring back the boy you loved?" Nick taunted. "Did you completely forget about that in your pointless rampage against us?!"
"Oh, I haven't forgotten at all," Captain Dread responded. "I simply need to get rid of you before I can put things right."
Captain Dread once again used the Paradox Prism to change the scenery around them, this time to a facsimile of Paris, France.
"Why don't you just die already?" Captain Dread chuckled as she waved her hand to conjure a field of sharp spikes before sending them towards Nick and May.
Nick grabbed May and pulled her close to him before projecting a psychic bubble around them to defend against the spikes. However, May noticed that the spikes continued on their flight path and were now heading for the other spies.
Nick and May nodded to each other, and Nick spread his hands out to both dispel the bubble and instead project a large-scale barrier in front of himself so that May could fly back and assist the other spies.
Sam and Mat both fired Cyclone Blast Hairdryers, Alex used an Electromagnetic Curling Iron, and the rest generally used whatever projectile gadgets they had on hand to stop the spikes from hurting them.
"Oof, that was way too close," Haruka sighed in relief.
"Come on, Nick, stay with us!" Other Alex exclaimed, trying to think of something they could do to help Other Nick before it was too late.
"There's really nothing you can do to help him," Captain Dread laughed as she warped down to face the spies, once again changing the scenery to resemble the inside of W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters. "The only way you'd be able to fix him is if you restore this dimension. And by the time I'm done with the Paradox Prism, it'll probably be too late."
" You..." Other Alex snarled, reaching into her Jetpack Backpack and pulling out a Phase Changer Phaser.
"Really? That's what you plan to shoot me with?" Captain Dread chuckled. "You don't have the guts."
"Oh, don't I?!" Other Alex shouted as she fired the Phase Changer Phaser towards Captain Dread.
Much to the spies' surprise, Captain Dread actually raised her hand and caught the blast in her palms.
"Seriously, how many times do I have to remind you that I have the power to bend reality to my will?" Captain Dread taunted. "You must be dumber than I thought if you really believed that I'd be defeated by something as measly as this."
Captain Dread flicked her hand out and sent the Phase Changer Phaser blast right back towards Other Alex, and it seemed to be approaching too fast for her to dodge away.
As Other Alex braced herself for the inevitable, she suddenly noticed a shadow moving in front of her.
She dared to look up and saw that Other Nick had placed himself in front of her just as the Phase Changer Phaser blast came close. The blast struck Other Nick, and the last thing that Other Alex saw of him was Other Nick smiling at her as a flash erupted.
When it cleared, all that remained of Other Nick was a small puddle of blue liquid.
All of the other spies were extremely shocked that Other Nick had chosen to sacrifice himself, especially since they knew that the Phase Changer Phaser was never to be used on any living beings. Jerry had drilled that into their heads, after all.
"Oops," Captain Dread quipped. "Looks like I missed my target. Oh, well, at least he's out of my hair."
"...is that all you have to say?" Nick snarled, his aura pulsing dangerously. "Do you seriously not even care that you just basically murdered somebody?!"
"He was going to die anyways," Captain Dread retorted. "I just hastened the process."
"Get down here right now, you heartless bitch!" Other Alex screamed, tears streaming from her eyes. "I swear to god, I'm going to choke the life out of you, with my bare freakin' hands if I have to!"
"Don't act like you have any hope of defeating me as I am now," Captain Dread cackled. "You can't win. Just give up and accept it."
"I'll admit, we might be in trouble," Nick admitted. "The only reason we're probably not dead yet is because I powered myself up, but we've still been on the defensive for most of this fight."
"That means we've gotta think of something fast before we're next," Nozomi stated.
"I'm afraid that this is where our little game ends," Captain Dread proclaimed, the Paradox Prism glowing brightly. "I've grown sick and tired of your constant meddling. So, I guess my parting words to you are as follows."
Captain Dread aimed her hands for the spies, silver-y energy gathering in her palms.
"Goodbye and good riddance."
The spies all prepared themselves for whatever Captain Dread was going to blast them with, until the light faded and Captain Dread stumbled forward like somebody had punched her in the gut.
"Oof, thanks for the save," Sam stated, only to notice all of the spies were still on the ground. "...um, who did that?"
Nick took a chance and looked up, only to notice that Captain Dread was clutching her chest, almost like she was going to be sick, and the Paradox Prism was glowing and warbling in a very unnerving way.
"Wh... what's happening?" Captain Dread gasped. "Why am I..."
Captain Dread fell to her knees as realization dawned on her too late, her voice distorting.
"This... thIs isN'T happEnING... tHiS cAN't Be HApPenING..."
The Paradox Prism suddenly shattered back into the five Prism Shards and unleashed a gigantic flare of silver-y violet light that enveloped everything around them.
To be concluded...
Next time...
May: As you all can probably guess, we don't have a preview for the next chapter, considering how crazy things are about to get.
Nick: We really don't mean to keep doing this to you guys every season finale, but we've gotta keep the suspense somehow, right?
Alex: All we'll say is that if you thought things were crazy already, it's only gonna get even crazier next time on the final act of Totally Spies: From the Top, "Endings and Beginnings"!
Clover: Hey, Blaine-y, what'cha doing in the dress department?
Blaine: I'm preparing for the upcoming movie.
Nick: Not New Cinema Labyrinth, right? We already finished filming that.
Haruka: I think it's for the next one.
