CHAPTER 1

RESURFACE

In the cool darkness of the water there are two people in Scuba Gear, one a young male and the other a young female. Both have black Scooba wear, on their back there are backpacks but attached to the backpacks are some small ropes that have plenty of black bags attached. Both don't have the usual scuba masks and hoods, instead both are wearing mechanical masks. From the male who has a navy-blue samurai shaped helmet with a silver face plate over his face. Another she wears a helmet that is designed like an ancient Chinese warrior, with a circular helmet that is teal green and surround the sides and back there is silver chainmail. She has a silver faceplate, but it is designed to have a sleek human feminine mouth and nose, but in place of the eyes is a big blue tinted visor.

Both are swimming deep into the ocean floor with underwater scooters propelling, taking them down to the dark ocean floor. They don't have flashlights and headlights as the visors of their masks provide both oxygen and nighttime vison. As they are going down, they hit something down on the ocean floor and it's a giant rectangular building structure that is just about bigger than several blocks of a city.

They come down toward the giant structure and stand right side up. Both then take their underwater scooters, and they attach it to their packs. Both then tread toward the structure and as they come down close enough, the female diver she then activates the mask she wears, the visor it glows light blue as it does, she then grabs onto her male partner, likewise for him and as both go to the ocean floor they walk and move toward the stone wall.

As they do both suddenly, they phase right through the wall as though both were ghosts. Both come through, then both unload as they take off their back packs. They then go to their packs and unzip the side of them which has aqua socks. They take off their flippers, attach then to the pack and put the aqua socks on their feet. Then the male diver, he then from his diver's tactical vest takes out six small discs and he throws each of them up in the air frisbee style. Each of the discs hover in the air and as they move to their designated spots, the circular edges then light up in a florescent blue and this light along with the other disc do the same thing and soon the whole area is lit up in a blue fluorescent.

They both look up to take on a sight which can overwhelm their eyes as they, see a giant naval vessel from a time and war long gone; on the broadside of the ship it says, U.S.S. Eldridge. The male diver with his mask then looks toward the female diver and does a nod.

The female diver then returns the nod, and then both are about to go to both sides of the ship. Before they do, they detach the black bags from the backpack. And in these bags, in one there are several white disc objects, in another bag there are turquoise blue flat rectangular objects. Both stick the objects on the broadsides, each a few feet apart from each other. They both then got to a wall and then both then took out another black bag. They contain an object that is circular but is broken in half. Both divers put this object together and then they place it on the wall and there is an automatic clicking sound which indicates the circular object it has latched onto the wall. Both type in a code which then produces a small beep and the light, both then run and stand clear of the object.

The circular object then detonates and there is a small explosion, and it produces a small hole in the wall, the hole then spills out lots of water. But soon the crack becomes bigger, and more water starts to spill out and flood the area which seeps toward the bottom of the ship. The male diver he takes out from another of the black bags what looks like a circular propeller drone which has a big handrail attached to it. He puts his backpack back on and he waves to the female diver who puts her back pack back on, then grabs on to the right end of the handrail and the male diver has the left. He then taps his right hand his head to signal his partner and then he has his right hand press the top button of the drone.

The drone then lifts both up in the air and soon it completes its journey, and it has both in a hover position right onto the deck of the ship. It then lands them on their feet and then descends to the deck and then shuts down. The male and female diver both have backpacks and then they both take out a couple of things. For the male it's a lap top and he opens it up and then powers it on. As it is on, it goes to its program and the terminal displays what is a two-dimensional graphical display of the ship, current position, and the amount of water that is currently spilling out and building up.

The female diver she takes out a couple of what are motion sensor gloves with wires, and she hooks the wires up to the lab top. As she does suddenly there are a couple of windows that are displays. One of the windows is labeled, Phase one; and at the bottom it presents the question "Do you want to activate" and has the buttons yes or no.

The female diver with her right hand and forefinger then presses the yes button. Suddenly the rectangles on the broadsides of the ship then start to glow blue. Then suddenly there is a blue light that gets emitted out and grows bigger. This light relates with the other rectangle plates that produce the same effect and then the light suddenly then as it grows, turns circular and soon the whole ship is inside what looks like a blue glowing dome.

The other window on the computer is titled Phase two; and the female diver activates the yes button and then suddenly the discs on the broadside then have a green light on the center of them. The female diver she then touches with her right gloved hand, the digital ship replica and then starts to move it forward.

As it does the ship itself it makes a loud creaky noise at first but then with the help of the tech and some of the water below it, it can move forward slowly and soon the cracks on the forward wall they form quickly, making the wall loose and cracked with water leaking out. Soon the ship goes forward and then suddenly the bow of it crashes right though the wall as if it was like cracking though loose rock. As the ship goes forward the whole place rapidly gets flooded. But the water is just sliding right off the powered light dome, almost like sliding over circular glass ball. They can move the ship out of the broken-down base and then the female diver then slowly gets the ship to accent up. Soon the ship comes to the top of the ocean and then the whole ship then suddenly submerges and then floats at the top.

When that happens, the male diver then changes the display to an overhead map and then the female diver she moves the ship once more slowly until they come close to the shoreline. They then stop and then the male diver he closes the lab top. The female diver she takes her motion control gloves off. Both of them then come close to a railing on the edge of a ship and looks out to the Atlantic Ocean.

Both look at each other and then take off their masks and for the female diver in her teens, she has white skin, long black raven hair, brown eyes and features that are of Asian descent. The other is a young man that is an older teen/young adult with short cropped black hair, white skin, features of Asian and Canadian decent, brown eyes but his face as several scars, intersecting parts of his face as if cut from one or several knives.

The female diver she then has a big smile and says, "Oh my God, can you believe what we've just did?"

The male diver has a big smile on his scared face, and he says, "Believe it Candy."

Both Candy and Darrien then hug hard and don't let go as they both look out toward the sea admiring the view.

Darrien says, "The ship is now ours."
