THE PROMISED LAND

A bloody war rages between the soldiers of the United Nations Space Command, and the merciless Covenant, an alliance of aliens hellbent on the destruction of the human race. The war has seen the loss of entire worlds, and billions of deaths in the wake of the Covenant's genocidal campaign.

The Covenant unleashes a devastating blow against humanity's fortress world of Reach, a battle that would solidify the aliens' victory against the humans, marking the beginning of the end. Through the chaos, one ship managed to escape the Covenant's grip, the UNSC Pillar of Autumn.

Matthew Svenson and the soldiers of Fireteam Delta flee from the Covenant's might as the Autumn makes a discovery capable of changing the fate of the universe, an artificial world in the shape of a ring, one that the Covenant can't wait to get their hands on. Halo.

Having lost everything to the Covenant, Svenson must learn once again to work as a team, to lead the UNSC to victory in the face of impossible odds.

Fural 'Nasamee and his brother, Dom 'Nasamai, are among the forces of the Fleet of Particular Justice, an armada of Covenant vessels responsible for the destruction of Reach. They find themselves awestruck by the discovery of Halo, and they are ordered to take control of it.

Fural aspires to achieve the title of Blademaster, a title his brother has been training him for since he was a child. His arrival at Halo is his greatest chance to claim all he desires.

The war continues between humanity and the Covenant as both factions attempt to take control of Halo, but threats far more dangerous than anything they have faced lurk underneath; secrets so dark they threaten both sides to question their understanding of the universe they live in.
