"So," Max says slowly, "we fucked up."
"Shut up," Mox hisses, trying to find a way over to his partner but unable to find a way around Chaos Greymon's snarling form. "What the hell are we supposed to do..."
Wade exhales, also trying to think of a good gameplan that has the least risk of injury or worse. Their best digimon have all been knocked out or weakened to the point that it's worthless to even try to include them in future actions.
The Smackdown and Forbidden Door Digidestined are all clustered around, still trying to think of something to do, some way to make it past all of this, when Chaos Greymon grows bored of the quiet mumbling coming from their circle. He glowers down at them, raising his arms up over his head, a steady stream of energy collecting between them.
"Oh shit," Mox mutters. "Plesiomon! Can you hear me?"
The sneer on Chaos Greymon's face grows as he gathers more energy between his palms, his eyes flickering in the glow of its light. "You will all DIE!" he roars, throwing the energy ball forward. "GAIA FORCE!"
The energy ball hits the ground and explodes, immediately taking out all of the digidestined and their partners. Chaos Greymon shields his eyes from the light of the blow, barely flinching as the power spreads and overwhelms him.

Luke's cavern is far away from where he'd instructed the digidestined to go. It's usually how it plays out, because no digimon village is near where he'd chose to build up his hideout. Even so, something happens. He feels it rattle through the world, as if something hard had just impacted with the surface of the digiworld, and he staggers, slapping a hand down on the display before him to regain his balance. "What was that?" he gasps, looking up in time to see Louise rush into the cavern.
"Luke! Did you-"
"Yes," he says. "I felt it." He checks his maps, frowning hard. "It felt like..." His words die when he realizes what the maps are indicated. "Oh no."
"What is it?"
His face is twisted in horror as he slowly looks up to Louise. "I think the Digidestined have all been... taken out... there's no sign of them on the map. I can't contact them."
She stares at him in disbelief. "What...?"
He slumps down, pressing his hands into the side of the cavern wall. "Oh, shit," he breathes out, realizing that everything might've just been destroyed- the digidestined he had brought here, their partners, and all of their hopes and dreams. Not to mention the safety of the Digiworld. "What do I do now..."
