Chapter 1 - A New Beginning

In the cold winter, of 1982, it was snowing hard, among the winter, was a house, and inside, a woman was sitting on the couch in the warm living room, looking through a photo album, which contained pictures of her, and her husband

"Oh, James, if only you were here, you would know what to do." The woman said, feeling worried

You see, she is Lily Potter, the wife of James Potter and only family member to their son Harry Potter, James Potter died while trying to defend his family from Voldemort but Lily survived as she was able to block Voldemort's killing spell, she raced out of the house, carrying Harry with her, they have now been living on the run for the time to keep away from Voldemort

After looking through the album, Lily closed the book and began to sit back on the couch, thinking about the times when James was still alive, those times were magic...

But suddenly, she soon heard the noises of her child Harry, crying from upstairs

"Oh, my goodness, what on earth?" She said in shocked, racing to the foot of the stairs, "Sweetheart?" She asked, "Mommy's coming" She said as she raced up the stairs, into her son's room, there he was, in his crib, crying his eyes out, Lily approached Harry, picked him up and cradled him in her arms, hoping it would calm him down

"Sh, sh, sh, sh, it's okay, Harry, mommy's here, mommy's here now, it's okay, don't cry" She said, comforting young Harry, still trying to keep the emotion inside him

Lily walked over to the rocking chair she kept in Harry's room, carrying her son with her, she sits down on the rocking chair and began to rock on it while cradling Harry

"It's okay, sweetheart, mommy's got you now, everything's gonna be okay" Lily said to her child in the most gentle voice she could, "You just had a nightmare, don't worry, it's over now, mommy's here now"

After hearing Lily's quiet and comforting voice, Harry stopped crying, closed his eyes and rested in her arms, Lily smiled, got out of the rocking chair and placed Harry back in his crib, then she took a teddy bear off the shelf and placed it next to Harry, she then quietly walked out of the room, turned off the light and closed the door

"Do not worry, my son, as long as I am, nothing can harm you" She whispered, she then walked down the hallway and back downstairs

Lily always knew that whatever may happen, she will always be there for her son
