Okay, this is my first fanfiction and I had to rewrite it over and over again. I hope it turned out well enough... I am not that sure since this is the first time I've written anything, so sorry if I suck.

Okay, another thing is their gender-bending characters, and if you don't like it, well, you don't have to read it.

I wrote this because there are not many Naruto x MHA stories.

Well, I guess I should stop typing here and let you read it.

Okay I don't own Naruto or MHA. Hell, I literally don't even own much here. This is just a fanfiction. Naruto is owned by Masashi Kishimoto and MHA is owned by Kōhei Horikoshi

Izuki Midoriya, a small figure standing no taller than 4 feet 9 inches, walked slowly through the streets of Musutafu. Her body, thin and slender, seemed almost fragile beneath the oversized Aldera Junior High female uniform she wore. Long, fluffy dark-green hair cascaded around her head in wild curls that defied gravity, casting deep shadows on her pale face. Her wide, watery eyes—an identical shade of green as her hair—seemed to be forever stretched wide, giving her the look of someone constantly surprised by the world. Four symmetrical freckles adorned her cheeks in a diamond pattern, one on each side of her face, further adding to her innocent, almost childlike appearance. But today, that innocence was tainted by the sorrow that clouded her gaze.

Her white socks were dingy, tinged with the faint gray of ash, and her red sneakers were scuffed and singed, as if they'd seen too many close calls with danger. A yellow bookbag dangled from her shoulder, heavy with the weight of her thoughts more than anything else. Her head hung low, her heart heavier with each step she took toward her house. The sun was barely setting, casting a golden glow over the city—a beautiful scene that was completely lost on Izuki.

Fifteen years old, and already she felt like the world was swallowing her whole.

She gripped her notebook tighter, her eyes drifting down to the pages that had once meant everything to her. The crisp, clean paper had been burned and charred at the edges, the precious signature of All Might—her hero—still sprawled across two full pages. That should have been the highlight of her day, her year even. She had met All Might, the Symbol of Peace. She had his autograph, the proof she'd been so desperate for. But it was all tainted now, the glow of that moment snuffed out by everything else that had gone wrong.

"At least I got to meet All Might…" she muttered to herself, her voice small and sad, the words doing little to lift the weight pressing down on her chest. She traced the burned edges of the pages, biting back the frustration that threatened to spill over.

She sighed deeply, a sound that seemed too heavy for such a small girl. Her eyes darted to the sky, as if asking the universe why it was so intent on making her life miserable.

"How much worse could this damn day get?" she whispered bitterly, her voice barely above a whisper.

But even as she said it, she knew better than to tempt fate. Somehow, things always found a way to get worse.

Izuki barely had time to process her own miserable thoughts when a familiar, sharp voice cut through the quiet evening air.

"You damn quirkless freak!"

Izuki winced, her heart sinking at the sound. Of all the people she could've run into after a day like this, it had to be her. The quickened footsteps were unmistakable, and Izuki turned just in time to see her ex-best friend stomping toward her. Katsumi Bakugo.

Standing at 5 feet 1 inch, Katsumi's slender frame was the envy of most girls their age. Her pale skin, heart-shaped face, and spiky ash-blonde hair were always on point, even in her perpetual state of anger. Ruby-red eyes blazed with fury, her lips twisted in a scowl that was all too familiar to Izuki. She wore the same Aldera Junior High uniform, though Katsumi had hers unbuttoned, her vest tied loosely around her hips, giving off that effortlessly rebellious vibe she was known for. And right now, she looked ready to explode—literally.

"Kacchan?" Izuki's voice wavered as she tried to make sense of Katsumi's fury. "What's wrong?"

Katsumi was breathing hard, like she'd run straight from hell to yell at her. Not that it would've been the first time.

"Listen, you Deku!" Katsumi growled, eyes narrowing with a seething rage that made Izuki instinctively take a step back. "I never asked for someone as weak as you to help me out. Don't you dare fucking think you can look down on me! Got that?"

Izuki opened her mouth, but no words came out. She hadn't even done anything, had she?

"I was fine by myself!" Katsumi continued, venom dripping from every word. "You're just an ugly, quirkless bitch! You won't even cut it as a rent-a-cop. You didn't help me—you did nothing! Don't fucking forget it!"

Before Izuki could respond, Katsumi flicked her off with a sharp middle finger, turning on her heel with a huff. "Hmph," she muttered, raising her chin like a queen dismissing a lowly peasant. Her steps were quick and furious as she marched away, her anger still radiating like heat from a fire.

Izuki watched her go, her heart heavy but strangely amused. Yeah, she's totally a tsundere, she thought with a small sweatdrop running down the back of her head. Despite everything, Izuki couldn't help the faint smile tugging at her lips. Katsumi's high-and-mighty walk was as ridiculous as it had always been.

"You're right, though," Izuki murmured to herself once Katsumi was out of earshot. "I didn't do anything to help today. It was technically that vigilante, Zenko. At least he got me out of trouble with the other heroes."

She sighed, remembering how close she'd come to getting a strike on her personal record. Zenko had swooped in and pranked the heroes again, making fools out of them and saving her ass in the process.

But the small spark of amusement faded quickly, replaced by that familiar sinking feeling in her chest. Izuki looked down at her feet, her earlier thoughts coming back full force.

Guess it's time to get back to giving up on my dreams, she thought bitterly, turning toward home. The weight of the day settled on her shoulders once more, and as much as she hated to admit it, Katsumi's words echoed in her mind. She hadn't done anything today—nothing that mattered, anyway.

With her head down, Izuki continued walking, the glow of the sunset casting long shadows over her path. Another day gone. Another failure.

Izuki had barely taken a step forward when she suddenly collided with someone, stumbling backward from the impact. She nearly fell, but just before hitting the ground, a strong hand grabbed her, steadying her. Her emerald eyes widened as they locked onto the person who'd caught her. Her heart nearly skipped a beat as she recognized him—someone she'd never expected to speak to outside of their quiet interactions at school.

Naruto Uzumaki.

He was the only one who ever grouped up with her during school projects, but beyond that, he was a mystery—always keeping to himself. With his creamy fair skin, spiky crimson-red hair that resembled the color of blood itself, and piercing ocean-blue eyes, Naruto was strikingly handsome. His sharp, heart-shaped face gave him a fierce look, but Izuki had always noticed the warmth in his gaze. He stood a full 5 feet 6 inches, his lean but toned frame towering over her. Dressed in the male Aldera Junior High uniform with black sneakers and red laces, he looked like someone straight out of a dream.

And right now, that dream was holding her hand.

"Na-Naruto-san…" she gasped, her voice trembling as it pitched higher, her face flushing red. Her heart raced so fast she feared it might leap right out of her chest. She couldn't even meet his eyes as he helped her back onto her feet, pulling her upright with ease. Her gaze dropped to the ground, unable to look at him. Naruto was the only guy at school who treated her like a normal person, like she was human. He didn't look at her with disgust or dismissiveness like everyone else. It was no surprise she had a small crush on him—it felt almost inevitable.

Naruto's hand released hers, but the warmth of his touch lingered, sending her mind spinning. Why is my heart beating so fast? she wondered, her chest tightening with every erratic thump.

"Izuki," Naruto said softly, his deep voice catching her attention. "Do you think we could talk for a couple of minutes? There's something important I want to ask you."

Izuki blinked, her nerves shooting through the roof. She rubbed her index fingers together, trying to think of an excuse. Her mother was waiting for her at home, and she knew her mom hated when she came home late, especially with the recent crime wave in Musutafu. But how could she say no to Naruto?

"I… I don't know," she stammered, her eyes flickering up to meet his for a brief second before darting away again. "My mom…"

Naruto's expression softened. "I can walk you home after I'm done talking. I promise it won't take long."

Her heart sped up even more. Part of her wanted to agree, to say yes just to spend a little more time with him. But the nagging worry of rumors tugged at her mind. If people saw her walking home with Naruto, it would spread like wildfire. And there was something else—something she'd overheard from Katsumi in the locker room once.

Katsumi liked Naruto too.

The thought still shocked her, even though she'd known for a while now. Katsumi, her ex-best friend, the tomboy who hated everyone, actually had a crush on Naruto. It made sense in a twisted way. Naruto was one of the few people who stood up to Katsumi when she tried to bully him. But still, the idea of Katsumi having feelings for the same guy Izuki secretly admired made everything more complicated.

"I… I guess it's okay," Izuki finally mumbled, her face still flushed. "But… we can't take too long. My mom doesn't like it when I'm out late."

Naruto smiled gently, nodding. "Don't worry, I'll get you home safe."

As her heart continued to pound in her chest, Izuki couldn't help but wonder what Naruto wanted to talk about. Something important? Her mind raced with possibilities, but one thought kept coming back: What if it's about Katsumi?

Fuck it, Izuki thought, her nerves jangling as she glanced around, half-expecting Katsumi to come storming back, ready to cause more chaos. The last thing she needed was for her ex-best friend to see her talking with Naruto. That would just add fuel to the fire, and Izuki really didn't have the energy for any more drama today.

"Sure, just let me text my mom real quick," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. Naruto nodded, waiting patiently as she pulled out her phone.

She quickly typed out a message to her mother:

"Mom, I'm going to be a bit late."

Not even a second later, her phone buzzed with an immediate response. Of course, she thought, rolling her eyes affectionately. Inko Midoriya was nothing if not overprotective.

"Are you okay? Did something happen? Were you in that incident with Katsumi-chan?" her mom's text read.

Izuki groaned softly. If she didn't answer quickly, her mom would probably storm the streets of Musutafu, searching for her like a one-woman army. She hurriedly replied:

"No, everything's fine! One of my classmates just wants to talk for a few minutes. He said he'll walk me home afterward."

A brief pause followed, and Izuki sighed in relief. Maybe she won't freak out…

Then her phone buzzed again. She glanced at the screen, and her entire face flushed a deep crimson.

"Is it that Naruto boy you told me about?"

Izuki's eyes widened. She could almost feel her heart stop. Why did I tell her about that? Why? She hesitated before typing back, her fingers trembling slightly.

"Yes."

She barely had time to breathe before another text pinged back at lightning speed:

"Yes, you can talk to him, as long as he walks you home."

Izuki let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. She was about to tuck her phone away when it buzzed one more time. Curious, she glanced at the screen.

Her blood froze.

"Remember to use protection ."

Her entire face went up in flames. Her hands started shaking as she stared at the screen, mortified. Steam might as well have been shooting out of her ears. Baka! Baka! Baka! Baka! Izuki mentally screamed at her mother, cursing her in every way she could think of. What the hell, Mom?!

She couldn't even process how embarrassing it was. Her mind was a whirlwind of mortification as she tried to shove her phone back in her pocket, her face burning bright red.

Naruto tilted his head slightly, watching her with curiosity. "You okay, Izuki?" His voice was casual, but there was a hint of amusement in his tone. She must've looked ridiculous, standing there all flustered and red-faced.

Great. Just great.

Izuki waved her hand frantically, still trying to recover from the horror of her mom's text. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine! Just… my mom being… weird." Her voice was squeaky, and she knew she was probably making things worse.

Naruto raised an eyebrow, but his lips curled into a small, amused smile. "Gotcha." He shrugged slightly, his eyes twinkling in a way that reminded her of the look Hinata used to have around him back in Konoha, back before Kakashi had nearly killed him during training.

Izuki wanted to disappear right there on the spot. Her mother's inappropriate text, Naruto standing so close, and the memories of her crush all crashing together made her feel like her brain was short-circuiting.

She let out a long sigh and glanced up at Naruto, trying to focus. Just act normal, Izuki. You can survive this. Probably.

"Where are we heading to?" Izuki asked, doing her best not to let her voice tremble. She had a habit of stuttering when she got nervous, and talking to Naruto definitely brought on the nerves.

"That park a few minutes from here," Naruto replied casually, as if this were the most normal thing in the world. Izuki nodded quickly. The park was close to her house, so it would make getting home easier afterward. Plus, it was quiet—perfect for a conversation.

As they walked, Izuki's mind raced, trying to guess what Naruto wanted to talk about. Her fingers fidgeted with the strap of her bag, her nerves kicking into overdrive. What could he want to talk to me about? She didn't dare ask. Not yet.

A few minutes later, they reached the park, and both sat down on one of the benches. The evening air was cool, and the faint glow of the streetlights gave the park an almost dreamlike quality. Izuki rubbed her index fingers together, a habit she had when she was anxious. Her mind, however, was in full panic mode.

Calm down, calm down! she screamed internally, but it was no use. Her thoughts spiraled, creating one crazy scenario after another.

Scenario One:

The wind picks up, swirling the soft pink petals of the Sakura trees around them in a perfect, romantic scene. Izuki looks up, her breath catching as her eyes meet Naruto's. His beautiful ocean-blue eyes lock onto hers, and for a moment, time seems to stand still.

Her heart hammers in her chest as Naruto leans in slightly, his gaze softening. They're getting closer—closer than she ever thought possible. She can smell him now, the delicious scent of desserts and coffee that always seemed to cling to him. It's intoxicating, and she can't help but lick her lips, her mouth watering at the thought. The scent of coffee was just too damn good.

Naruto's eyes flick down to her lips, and her mind goes into full meltdown mode. Oh my God! Are we going to kiss? she screamed internally, her heartbeat quickening to a near-frenzy. She could barely breathe, the tension crackling between them.

Their faces inched closer. She could feel the warmth of his breath. And then, just like in the movies, their lips meet.

Fireworks explode in her mind as she closes her eyes, savoring the moment. Holy shit, I'm kissing Naruto Uzumaki! Her lips move instinctively, soft and eager, and she licks his bottom lip, making the kiss deeper, more intense. Naruto responds, his mouth parting as their tongues touch, and the world fades away into pure bliss.

Izuki blinked rapidly, snapping herself out of her wild daydream. What the hell, Izuki?! she scolded herself. Why am I like this?! Her cheeks burned bright red as she sat there, awkwardly rubbing her fingers together, hoping Naruto didn't notice her zoning out like a complete idiot. She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, praying he couldn't read her thoughts.

But Naruto seemed oblivious, leaning back on the bench with his arms casually resting behind his head, looking perfectly relaxed. Izuki swallowed hard, trying to pull herself together. Her mind was her own worst enemy sometimes, and it didn't help that being this close to him made her overthink everything.

She forced herself to breathe, focusing on the cool evening air. Get a grip, Izuki. You're not going to make out with Naruto in a park. Be normal. Just be normal!

But that lingering image of their lips touching refused to leave her mind.

Izuki barely had time to recover from her first wild daydream before another scenario started to play out in her mind, and this one was just as ridiculous.

Scenario Two:

Izuki was sitting on the wooden bench, nervously fidgeting with her fingers as Naruto walked toward her, his usual calm, confident stride making her heart race. He stopped in front of her, his intense blue eyes locking onto hers.

"Izuki, I have to ask you a question," he said, his voice low and serious.

Izuki's breath hitched, her eyes wide as she nodded, trying to control the butterflies going berserk in her stomach. "W-What is it?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Naruto knelt down on one knee in front of her, taking her hands in his. Izuki's heart almost stopped. Oh my God. Is this really happening? Her face turned crimson, and her thoughts spiraled out of control.

"Izuki," Naruto began, his gaze soft but unwavering. "I'm in love with you. There isn't anyone else in this world that I'd rather be with."

Her mind was reeling. Oh my gosh! Is he asking me to marry him? But we've only known each other for a year! Izuki's face was on fire, her pulse pounding in her ears as Naruto continued.

"I want to marry you because you're the first person I want to see when I wake up in the morning, and the only one I want to kiss goodnight. The first time I saw your hands, I couldn't imagine not being able to hold them. And when you love someone as much as I love you, marriage is the only thing left to do. So, Izuki Midoriya, will you marry me?"

Naruto pulled out an emerald green diamond ring, the color matching her eyes. Izuki's heart couldn't take it anymore. The overwhelming emotions swirled in her head, and the pressure of the moment built until everything went black.

In reality, Izuki passed out on the bench, her head slumping forward as she fell limp. Naruto, quick on his feet, managed to catch her before she completely collapsed, gently pulling her to rest her head on his lap. He looked down at her flushed face, his brow furrowing in concern.

"Izuki? Are you okay?" Naruto asked, his voice filled with genuine worry. Her face was bright red, and she was completely unresponsive. He placed a hand on her forehead, checking for a fever.

"She must've caught a cold," Naruto muttered to himself, still oblivious to the chaos going on in her mind.

Meanwhile, Izuki, lost in her own little world, lay there with her heart pounding out of control, even in her unconscious state. Why the hell am I like this? her inner voice screamed, trapped somewhere between her wild fantasies and the embarrassment of fainting right in front of Naruto.

Izuki felt something cool and wet on her forehead. Slowly, she blinked her eyes open, finding herself staring into Naruto's worried ocean-blue gaze. Her heart skipped a beat.

"You okay? You suddenly passed out," Naruto asked, concern lacing his voice. Izuki's face flushed crimson, her embarrassment flooding back with full force.

Inside her mind, a chibi version of herself was face-palming over and over again. Why the hell did I have to pass out because of a stupid daydream? she screamed internally. She blamed her mother's teasing texts and her Shimura family genes for making her so easily embarrassed. Damn genetics and overactive imaginations.

Scrambling to sit up, she barely avoided smacking Naruto in the face. He pulled back just in time, his reflexes saving him from an awkward nose collision. Izuki scooted a little further away on the bench, giving them both some space as she tried to gather her scattered thoughts.

"What did you want to tell me, Naruto-san?" she asked, her voice still a little shaky from embarrassment. She felt her face heat up again, knowing she'd just fainted from daydreaming about him. Could this get any more humiliating?

Naruto seemed unfazed by her earlier episode, but there was a seriousness in his eyes that caught her attention. "I wanted to ask you something that you probably didn't notice when you helped Bakugo-san with the sludge villain," he said, his tone careful.

Izuki blinked, her brows furrowing in confusion. "What do you mean? I just ran into the situation without thinking… I nearly got myself and Katsumi killed," she said, her voice dropping with guilt. She still hated herself for how reckless she'd been that day.

But Naruto shook his head, clearly not seeing it the same way. "Did you ever notice how you managed to get past all the civilians and heroes without anyone stopping you? How you slipped right by Death Arms when he tried to grab you?"

Izuki's mind went blank for a moment, replaying the scene in her head. She hadn't really thought about it before. Her body had moved on instinct that day—like she wasn't even in control. "I don't… I didn't really think about it," she admitted, her confusion growing. "I just acted without a plan, like I wasn't thinking at all."

Naruto sighed softly, his gaze steady as he looked at her. "Do you remember what my quirk is?"

Izuki nodded, her face lighting up as she recalled how rare and powerful his quirk was. "You have a super rare Emitter-type quirk that lets you make copies of yourself and control different elements, plus it increases your strength and speed," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She'd been blown away the first time he'd shown it to her. His quirk was the kind that could turn someone into a top hero, someone who could even challenge Katsumi for the number one spot in Japan.

Naruto paused for a moment, his expression unreadable as he summoned a wind blade in the palm of his hand. The air around them shifted slightly, the blade humming with energy. Izuki's breath caught in her throat.

"What would happen if I told you that I'm technically quirkless? That this isn't a quirk at all?" he said, his voice steady, eyes locked on hers.

Izuki blinked, her mind trying to process what he just said. Quirkless? Her shock quickly turned into a mix of disbelief and irritation. Is he joking right now? "Are you serious? Are you fucking kidding me?" she said, her voice rising slightly. "If that's not a quirk, then what the hell is it?"

Her confusion was laced with frustration. Here he was, standing in front of her, casually wielding powers most people would kill to have, and he had the nerve to say he was quirkless? It didn't make sense, and it pissed her off a little. She had spent her whole life being told she was nothing because she didn't have a quirk, and now Naruto—someone with abilities that looked like quirks—was claiming the same thing?

Naruto's gaze softened, and he lowered the wind blade, dispersing it into the air. "Izuki, what I'm about to tell you can't leave this conversation. It stays between the two of us," he said seriously, leaning in just slightly. "I don't know how your government would react if this got out."

Izuki frowned, her irritation now mixed with confusion. Your government? What the hell did he mean by that? "Sure, but what are you talking about?" she asked, trying to keep her voice calm. "Don't tell me you're some kind of traveler who's seen the world." She chuckled, trying to ease the tension, but Naruto didn't laugh.

In fact, his expression didn't change at all.

Her laughter died in her throat as the reality of the situation began to sink in. "Wait…" Her eyes widened, her pulse quickening. "You… you can't be serious. You must be lying." Her voice trembled as she took a step back, her mind racing. What the hell is going on?

Naruto, noticing her rising panic, reached into his bag and pulled out a scroll, unrolling it in front of her. "Calm down. I can explain." He handed her the scroll, and Izuki took it hesitantly, her hands trembling slightly. She looked down at the map etched across the parchment.

"The Elemental Nations?" she read aloud, her voice full of disbelief. The map was intricate, with detailed landscapes, villages, and markings. But none of it was familiar. "Is this some kind of joke?" she asked, her eyes narrowing as she looked up at him. "Did you make this?"

Naruto shook his head, his expression serious. "No. This is a map of my world."

Izuki's heart dropped. His world? Her mind raced with a million questions, none of them making sense. "Wait… you're not from—what?" Her words came out in a rush, her head spinning as she tried to comprehend what he was saying.

"I'm not from your world," Naruto repeated calmly. "That's a map of where I come from. We call it the Elemental Nations. It's a place without heroes or quirks. It's a world ruled by shinobi and samurai."

Izuki felt like the ground was falling out from under her. This can't be real. She stared at the map, trying to make sense of it, but nothing clicked. She looked back at Naruto, her eyes wide. "You… you're from another world? That's insane." Her voice cracked slightly, disbelief clear in every word. But there was something in Naruto's expression that told her he wasn't lying.

To prove his point, Naruto pulled out a small stack of photos and handed them to her. Izuki grabbed one, her hands still trembling. It was a picture of a sprawling village, taken from the top of some kind of large mansion. She flipped to the next one—a shot of four massive stone faces carved into a mountainside, looming over the gates of a village.

"This is Konoha," Naruto said quietly, pointing to the photos. "It's where I grew up."

Izuki's breath caught in her throat. The images in her hands were nothing like anything she'd ever seen before. This is real. She looked up at Naruto, her voice barely a whisper. "This… this is real, isn't it?"

Naruto nodded, his eyes gentle. "Yeah, it is."

Izuki stared at Naruto, her mind reeling from everything he'd just told her. The idea that he was from another world—one ruled by shinobi and samurai—was utterly insane. But there was something in his eyes, something that made her pause. He wasn't joking. There was no hint of mockery or deceit in his expression.

"Let's say I believe you," Izuki said slowly, her voice still tinged with skepticism. "That you really came from another world ruled by shinobi and samurai… why are you here? And why are you telling me this?" She narrowed her eyes, still trying to process it all. "And if you're telling the truth, why the hell would I have any of your power?"

She wasn't about to fall for some prank just to be made fun of later. She'd been laughed at too many times for that.

Naruto sighed, rubbing the back of his neck as he leaned back against the bench. "I get why you'd be skeptical. It's a lot to take in," he admitted. "But I'm telling you this because it's important. My story's long, though, and we don't have a lot of time before I need to get you home. But I'll give you the short version."

Izuki remained quiet, watching him closely. There was a heaviness in his voice now, and it was clear he wasn't taking this lightly.

"I wasn't exactly well-liked in my village, Konoha," Naruto began, his tone shifting to something darker. "Dislike doesn't even cover it. They fucking hated me. From the moment I was born, people tried to kill me—civilians, shinobi, it didn't matter. I survived over a thousand assassination attempts before I was even a teenager."

Izuki's eyes widened, her breath catching in her throat. A thousand assassination attempts? What the hell?

"I know, it's messed up," Naruto said, noticing her shock. "But that's my life. And it got worse. I was sent on a mission to bring back a friend who had run away to join an evil guy—someone who nearly destroyed my village. We fought, and he didn't hold back. He tried to kill me multiple times. Hell, I had a fist-sized hole through my chest by the end of it."

Izuki's stomach twisted at the thought. She could see the seriousness in his eyes, the way he was recalling painful memories. "That's… horrible," she whispered, unable to imagine going through something like that.

Naruto nodded, continuing. "I knocked him out, but I was barely hanging on. Then my sensei came—someone I thought I could trust. But instead of saving me, he stabbed me in the chest, right through my lungs, and pushed me off a 100-meter cliff."

Izuki's heart clenched. She could barely process the words. His own sensei tried to kill him?

Naruto's voice softened. "But… someone divine, some kind of higher being, didn't want me to die. So they stepped in, changed me a bit, and sent me here. That's how I ended up in this world."

Izuki was speechless, her emotions swirling—shock, sadness, confusion, and something else she couldn't quite name. But Naruto wasn't done.

"I'm telling you all this because I can sense chakra. It's the energy we use in my world, and it's different from quirks. I've been able to sense it in you. That's why I've been keeping an eye on you—because you have it."

Izuki's heart skipped a beat. "Me? But… I don't have a quirk. I'm—"

"You've got chakra," Naruto cut in gently. "It's not the same as a quirk, but it's there. And I want to help you. I know how much becoming a hero means to you, and I think you can do it. I want to help you reach that goal."

Izuki felt like her world had been flipped upside down. She didn't know whether to feel relieved or overwhelmed. Her whole life, she'd been quirkless, powerless. And now… this? It didn't feel real.

"Y-you're not lying to me, right?" she stammered, her voice shaking. "Because if this is all some twisted joke—"

Naruto cut her off, his voice firm. "I swear to you, on the honor of the Uzumaki clan, that I'm not lying."

Izuki stared at him, still unsure. But then Naruto's expression shifted, more solemn than she'd ever seen him. "If I'm lying," he said, "then I'll wish for Lady Shinigami to strip me of all my chakra and end my life."

As he spoke, Izuki's breath caught in her throat. Behind him, for just a brief moment, a ghostly figure flickered into view. Its presence was chilling, ethereal. And then, just as quickly, it vanished.

Izuki felt her blood run cold. What the hell was that?

Naruto remained calm, his eyes still locked on hers, unwavering. "I mean it, Izuki. I'm not lying."

Izuki didn't know how to respond. All the confusion, the sadness, the shock… and yet, somehow, she also felt something she hadn't expected: hope.

"Okay… I believe you," Izuki said, her voice softer now, laced with both awe and disbelief. She still couldn't wrap her head around it entirely, but something in Naruto's tone, the sincerity in his eyes, made her trust him. "Are you telling me that I could do that ability you showed me?" she asked, honestly surprised—and more than a little excited. Her chest tightened with a flicker of hope she hadn't felt in so long.

Naruto's ability had looked amazing, beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of. And now he was telling her that she could learn to do it too? That she could actually become a hero?

Her mind raced as she processed everything. This whole day had been a fucking disaster from the start. First, there was the constant bullying at school, with Katsumi telling her she should jump off a roof to get a quirk, like it was a fucking joke. Then she burned her notebook—the one she'd poured her dreams into—writing about heroes she looked up to, only for it to go up in flames. At least it didn't end up in the damn goldfish pond.

Then there was the sludge villain—the bastard that nearly killed her—followed by her favorite hero, All Might, swooping in to save her life. For a second, she'd thought things were finally turning around, but no. All Might crushed her dreams right after saving her, telling her that her quirkless dream of becoming a hero was hopeless. Then he just… left. Took off like an asshole, leaving her on a rooftop with her shattered hopes and nothing else.

If that wasn't bad enough, she'd seen Katsumi getting attacked by the same sludge villain that had nearly killed her, and against all logic, she'd jumped in to help. She'd been saved again, this time by All Might—and again, he just left. No words of encouragement, nothing. Just gone.

The heroes? They didn't even care. They were ready to slap a strike on her record until Zenko, the damn vigilante, showed up, pranked them all, and distracted them long enough for her to slip away unnoticed.

And now, here she was, sitting in a park, with her crush, of all people, telling her that she didn't need a quirk to become a hero. That she had something called chakra inside her—a power she never even knew she had.

The day had been absolute shit, but this… this was something different.

Naruto nodded, his gaze still steady, his voice calm and certain. "Yeah, you can. Chakra is different from quirks. It's the energy that comes from within, something that anyone with the right training can use. You already have it inside you. You just need to learn how to tap into it."

Izuki felt a spark of excitement, a feeling she hadn't allowed herself to feel in a long time. "I can really use it? Like, for real?" she asked, her eyes wide. The idea of having this hidden power, this chance to change everything—it was almost too good to be true.

Naruto's lips curled into a small smile. "For real. I wouldn't lie to you, Izuki. With chakra, you can do a hell of a lot more than you ever could with a quirk."

Her heart raced at the thought. For the first time in years, she felt like maybe—just maybe—there was a way forward. A way to reach her dream. To prove everyone wrong. "So… I could really become a hero?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

Naruto's smile widened, and he nodded. "You've got what it takes, Izuki. I'll help you get there."

Izuki's thoughts swirled. Just this morning, she'd felt like her entire world had collapsed. But now… now, with Naruto sitting beside her, promising to teach her how to use this incredible power, the future didn't seem so bleak.

Her mind flashed back to All Might's words: You can't be a hero without a quirk. But Naruto's voice echoed louder in her head: You've got what it takes.

For the first time in what felt like forever, Izuki allowed herself to believe it.

"I think it's about time I take you home, before your mom starts freaking out," Naruto said, glancing at Izuki's phone, which was buzzing with multiple messages.

"Oh, yeah. I think you're right," Izuki replied, quickly texting her mother back. As she finished typing, Naruto stood and motioned for her to follow, and they began the walk back to her apartment.

As they walked, Izuki couldn't shake the part of Naruto's story where he mentioned his village hating him from the moment he was born. What kind of fucked-up people try to kill a baby? she thought, sneaking a glance at him. Naruto didn't look like someone who'd been traumatized by that kind of treatment. He didn't act like some serial killer or psychopath. If anything, he seemed… well-adjusted. Or maybe, she considered, he just got used to it, the same way I got used to the bullying.

That thought unsettled her. The universe was seriously messed up—both hers and Naruto's. How could two people come from such different worlds, yet still have to deal with the same kind of bullshit?

Later, outside her apartment:

"Thanks for walking me home," Izuki said, standing just outside her door, feeling a bit awkward but grateful.

Naruto shrugged, giving her a small smile. "No problem. It was kinda my fault you got home late, anyway."

Izuki waved him off. "Nah, don't worry about it."

Before he could turn to leave, she hesitated. "About the training?"

Naruto nodded, as if he'd been expecting the question. "I'll text you tomorrow. But make sure you eat a big breakfast, okay? It's Sunday, so we'll have plenty of time. Meet me at the park we went to today."

He waved goodbye, walking off into the night. Izuki watched him go, a small smile on her face before she turned and stepped inside her apartment. As soon as she entered, she spotted her mother peeking out from the living room window, clearly waiting for her.

Seriously, Mom? Izuki thought, sweatdropping.

"I'm home, Mom. Sorry I'm late," Izuki said, kicking off her red sneakers and setting them aside.

Inko turned to face her, eyes twinkling with mischief. "So? How did it go?" she asked with a wink, her teasing tone unmistakable.

Izuki's face flushed bright red. "It wasn't like that, Mom! Umm… Naruto-san offered to train me for the U.A. entrance exam because…" she paused for a moment before continuing, deciding to half-lie, "…I kinda unlocked my quirk today."

Inko froze, eyes wide, her hand almost slipping from the windowsill as she caught herself. "Y-you unlocked your quirk? But I thought you didn't have one?" she stammered, her words spilling out quickly in a flurry of confusion. Izuki suddenly realized where she got her own mumbling habit from.

Izuki fidgeted for a moment before explaining, "Naruto-san told me he sensed an energy inside me, something similar to his own. That's why he asked to talk. At first, he wasn't sure, but over time, he could feel it more clearly. He said the amount I have is much smaller than his, but he's going to teach me how to increase it and train me to use it."

Izuki couldn't hide her excitement as she repeated Naruto's words, her eyes lighting up with hope.

"That's… that's amazing, sweetie!" Inko said, her shock quickly turning into joy. But there was still a hint of hesitation in her voice. "Are you sure your quirk is the same as his? Some people have quirks that are similar but work a little differently."

Izuki nodded. "He said it's the same, just less powerful right now. That's why it took him a while to figure it out. But he's certain now."

Inko's face softened, a proud smile spreading across her lips. "Well then, let's celebrate! I made your favorite."

Izuki's stomach growled at the thought of food, and she couldn't help but grin. "Thanks, Mom," she said, following her mother into the kitchen, her heart lighter than it had been all day.

The next morning,

Izuki woke up at seven, groggily checking her phone to find a text from Naruto. He'd messaged her last night when he got home, reminding her to meet him at the park by 8:30 a.m. She rolled out of bed, ate a heavy breakfast—so much that even she was surprised at how much she could pack away—and got ready.

By the time she arrived at the park, the sun was shining brightly, and the air was crisp. She was dressed in a plain white T-shirt, black jogging pants, and her signature red sneakers. When she spotted Naruto by the benches, she noted that he was dressed more casually too, wearing a burnt orange hoodie, black shorts, and running shoes.

"Good morning, Izuki. How you doing?" Naruto asked with a casual smile.

Izuki smiled back. "I'm doing good, sensei," she replied, giving him a small bow, trying not to feel awkward about calling him that.

Naruto waved her over to the grass. They sat down, and before Izuki could even ask what they were going to do first, she watched Naruto form a hand seal. A moment later, a glowing violet sphere enveloped them both.

"What the hell is that?" she asked, her mind immediately racing. She'd never seen anything like it before. She felt the urge to whip out her notebook and start scribbling furiously.

Naruto gave her a small grin. "Go ahead and take out your notebook," he said, reading her mind. "I'm going to explain what chakra is and the different shinobi arts."

Izuki quickly pulled out her notebook, the cover proudly reading: "Notebook on Chakra, Number One." She flipped to the first page, her pen at the ready, eyes gleaming with curiosity.

"Alright," Naruto began. "Chakra is an energy that's created by combining one's physical energy and spiritual energy. It's basically your stamina and life force. You can build it up through physical training or meditation, but everyone has a natural limit to how much chakra they can produce at their peak."

Izuki scribbled furiously, nodding along as Naruto spoke. Physical and spiritual energy… okay, got it.

"Some people are born with larger chakra reserves than others, and they can pass those traits on to their descendants. There are even ways to artificially increase chakra, but that's a whole other discussion," he added.

Izuki paused, her brow furrowing. "So, is there a limit to how much chakra I can have?" She wasn't sure she liked the idea of having a limit, but she hoped there was a way to surpass it.

"Yeah, there's a limit," Naruto said. "Everyone has one. I come from the Uzumaki clan, a ninja clan from 2,000 years ago in my world. We're known for having huge chakra reserves and a strong life force. My clan was skilled in ninjutsu, swordsmanship, and a special art called Fuinjutsu, or the art of sealing."

Izuki's hand flew across the page as she jotted down every word. She could barely keep up. "How much larger is your chakra compared to mine?" she asked, her curiosity getting the best of her.

Naruto chuckled softly. "Let's just say you've got enough to fill a small pond… and I've got enough to fill a very large lake."

Izuki almost choked on her own spit. "What the fuck? That's bullshit!" she blurted out, eyes wide. The gap between them was staggering.

Naruto just laughed. "Yeah, it sounds unfair, but it's just how things work."

Still, she wrote it all down, her mind buzzing with the possibilities. Then Naruto's tone shifted slightly, becoming more serious. "There is a way to increase your chakra beyond your natural limit, but… it's not exactly a good idea."

Izuki arched an eyebrow, intrigued but cautious. "What do you mean? Do I have to make a deal with a demon or something?"

Naruto shook his head, looking thoughtful as he rubbed his cheek. "Not exactly a demon… but let's just say it's like making a deal with the devil.

Naruto leaned back, his voice steady as he continued explaining. "My clan came from a small island called Whirlpool, the home of the Uzumaki clan. There were about a thousand of us, all shinobi, and we were all related in one way or another."

Izuki's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait… so your clan practiced, like, breeding with family members?" she asked, her tone curious rather than judgmental. She knew some families had done that in the past to keep their bloodlines pure, though it still sounded pretty messed up to her.

Naruto scratched the back of his head, a sheepish look on his face. "Yes and no. They didn't do it that often. Mostly, they'd marry distant cousins, like tenth cousins from different branches of the family tree. But over time, the clan grew by bringing in people from outside. There was a seal the royal family used that could change someone's genes, turning them into an Uzumaki."

Izuki raised an eyebrow, her pen moving rapidly as she jotted down notes. "So… you're saying they could just make anyone part of the clan?"

"Pretty much," Naruto confirmed. "The seal would alter their chakra, giving them the signature traits of the Uzumaki, like red hair and enhanced chakra reserves. The person would also get a healing factor and age slower, keeping them young longer. It could boost their chakra pool by two or three times their original limit."

Izuki's hand was flying across the page now, her notebook filling up with every word. The idea of a seal that could literally transform someone's genetics blew her mind. That's insane.

Naruto continued, glancing at her. "The seal was called the 'Mate Mark.' It was used when someone in the clan wanted to bring a person into the family. They'd have to mark that person as their future wife or husband."

Izuki froze, her pen hovering over the page as the realization hit her. Oh. That's why he'd compared it to making a deal with the devil. "So, the mark is permanent, then?" she asked, her voice quieter now.

Naruto nodded. "Yeah. It's not something you can undo easily."

Izuki felt her heart skip a beat. The idea of being marked as someone's future spouse sounded… intense. Especially since she barely knew Naruto, despite her crush. "Is there any downside? Like, any side effects that are, y'know, bad?"

Naruto considered her question for a moment, his expression thoughtful. "Not really. It's not like the mark forces you to do anything you don't want to. There's no mind control or anything like that. The only thing is… if the person who's marked loses their partner, it hits them twice as hard emotionally. It can be really painful. And they know immediately if their mate dies."

Izuki's heart clenched at the thought. That sounds… rough. She scribbled down everything, her mind racing with the possibilities. Could I even handle something like that? She wasn't sure. It was a lot to take in, especially when her feelings for Naruto were still so new.

But then, almost without thinking, she wrote a small "maybe" next to the notes about the Mate Mark. It wasn't a definite yes, but it wasn't a no either. Just… something to think about.

Naruto didn't seem to notice her hesitation as he continued. "That's why I said it's like making a deal with the devil. It's a powerful bond, and it comes with a lot of responsibility."

Izuki nodded slowly, her mind still spinning. A powerful bond, huh? She glanced at Naruto out of the corner of her eye, wondering if he knew just how much weight his words carried. Being bound to someone like that… it was both terrifying and kind of thrilling.

"My father wasn't from the Uzumaki clan," Naruto began, his tone casual, as if what he was saying wasn't mind-blowing. "But my mother placed the Mate Mark seal on him. From the memories I've gotten from them, it doubled his chakra capacity and gave him a healing factor. It wasn't as strong as a full-blooded Uzumaki, but he could heal from wounds two or three times faster than a normal person."

Izuki's eyes widened. "Wait, you've got your parents' memories?" she asked, sounding completely thrown off by that detail. Seriously, how much weirder can this get?

Naruto waved her off with a smile, like it was no big deal. "I'll explain that part later. Right now, let's focus on the basics of chakra and bloodline abilities. I'll give you an example of a bloodline ability," he said, watching her flip to a fresh page in her notebook.

Izuki was still wrapping her head around the whole "memory inheritance" thing, but she shook it off and got ready to take notes.

"Ninjas learn to control their chakra for superhuman or supernatural feats," Naruto explained. "Hand signs help direct chakra flow, but with better control, fewer hand signs are needed. Chakra can be manipulated in both shape and nature to create different effects. It flows through the body via the chakra pathway system, which is kinda like your circulatory system, but for energy instead of blood."

Izuki nodded, writing as fast as her hand could move. She'd always known about the concept of energy in the body, but this? This was something else.

"There are 361 chakra points in the body, and ninjas can release chakra from any of these points. Eight specific points, called the Eight Gates, limit how much chakra can be produced without overloading the body. Chakra's usually invisible unless there's a heavy concentration of it. That's when you can start seeing it."

Izuki's mind raced, soaking in every bit of information. This was like discovering a whole new world of possibilities. 361 chakra points? And those Eight Gates sound intense.

Naruto continued, "Certain people can learn to produce special types of chakra, and those secrets are usually passed down to descendants or students. Others are born with abilities that can only be inherited through genetics—these are called kekkei genkai." He paused, letting the term sink in. "Kekkei genkai are unique abilities passed down through bloodlines. But they can also be acquired if someone gets the DNA of a person who has them."

Suddenly, black and red chains materialized from Naruto's back, snaking through the air. Izuki gasped, her eyes widening in shock as she scribbled down more notes, her pen nearly flying off the page.

"This is a chakra chain," Naruto said, his voice calm. "It's a kekkei genkai that a few of my clan members had. Normally, they're golden, but mine are a little different."

Izuki watched, wide-eyed, as the chains shifted and transformed. First, they took the shape of a katana, gleaming in the morning light. Then, in one smooth motion, the katana morphed into a massive war cleaver hybrid—black and red, with a brass-covered top, and a long, cloth-wrapped handle. A green tassel hung from the back of the weapon, swaying lightly.

Naruto held it effortlessly, as if the giant weapon weighed nothing. "My chakra chains can form into different weapons with different abilities. I could literally slice a building in half with this thing without even trying."

Izuki's jaw nearly hit the ground. What the fuck?! The sheer power he was describing was insane. She could barely keep up, her hand scribbling furiously as she wrote down every detail in sonic speed.

Naruto's chakra chains faded back into his body, leaving her stunned. She paused for a moment, taking it all in. He can slice a building in half… with no effort.

This was beyond anything she had imagined when she agreed to train with him. The idea that chakra could be manipulated like that, to create weapons, to push past physical limits—it was almost too much to process.

"These are the basic hand seals," Naruto said, his tone serious as he prepared to demonstrate. "You might want to record this."

Izuki quickly took out her phone, ready to capture everything. She wasn't about to miss a single detail.

"Bird, Boar, Dog, Dragon, Ox, Tiger, Snake, Rat, Horse, Monkey, Rabbit, and Ram," Naruto said, moving through each hand seal slowly so she could follow along. His movements were precise, fluid, as though these seals were second nature to him. Izuki nodded, her eyes glued to his hands as she tried to memorize the sequence. This is so much more than I expected.

Once he finished, Naruto continued, explaining the core principles. "There are three basic ninja arts: ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu. Each has its own purpose, but they're all essential." He paused for a moment, letting her process the information before continuing. "Ninjutsu is the art of manipulating chakra to perform techniques like the clone jutsu I showed you earlier. Genjutsu is the art of illusions—using chakra to manipulate the mind. And taijutsu is purely physical—hand-to-hand combat."

Izuki's mind raced to keep up. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she absorbed everything. So many different arts… and that's just the basics? It felt like her world had suddenly expanded tenfold.

Naruto smiled at her, sensing her excitement but knowing it was a lot to take in. "There are other, more advanced techniques too, like fūinjutsu—the art of sealing—and senjutsu, which is connected to natural energy. But we'll get to those later. For now, you need to master the basics and build a solid foundation."

Izuki nodded, her hands trembling slightly with excitement as she scribbled notes in her notebook. "Got it. Basics first."

Naruto shifted slightly, his tone becoming more focused. "Now, let's talk about chakra at its core. It's made up of two elements—Yin and Yang. Yin release uses spiritual energy to control imagination, creating form out of nothingness. Yang release uses physical energy to control vitality, granting life to forms that have none."

Izuki paused mid-scribble, her brow furrowing. "Wait, so you can literally create something out of nothing with this Yin release?"

Naruto nodded. "Exactly. It's all about the balance between spiritual and physical energy." He smirked a little, rubbing the back of his neck. "Honestly, I have my dad's memories to thank for this stuff. Without that, I'd probably be stumbling over the details right now."

Izuki blinked, still trying to wrap her head around everything. "That's… crazy," she murmured. "But it makes sense. There's so much more to chakra than I thought."

Naruto grinned, clearly amused by her reaction. "Yeah, there's a lot to it. But don't worry, we'll take it step by step. You've got time to learn."

Izuki let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding, her mind still buzzing with all the new information. Step by step, she repeated in her mind, hoping she could keep up. She'd never been this excited to learn something before, and it was a strange but exhilarating feeling.

"We're going to start by training your body," Naruto said, his tone serious but calm. "You've got more Yin chakra than Yang chakra right now."

Izuki immediately began mumbling under her breath, her mind racing. "If I have too much Yin chakra, does that mean I can't use jutsu properly?" she asked, her words tumbling out all at once. Her face flushed as she realized she hadn't taken a single breath through the entire question.

Naruto held up a hand, a small smile on his face. "First, take a deep breath and let it out," he instructed, and Izuki did as he said, exhaling slowly and feeling her heart rate return to normal. Her cheeks burned with embarrassment as she realized how flustered she'd gotten.

"Right," she muttered, her blush deepening.

"You need both Yin and Yang to make jutsu," Naruto explained. "But the reason I'm focusing on Yang right now is that it's tied to your physical energy. We need to build up your body first, which is why we're going to be working on that for a few hours."

Izuki blinked. A few hours? That sounded like torture, but she swallowed her nerves and nodded. She had to start somewhere.

"After that," Naruto continued, "I'll teach you how to fight. I know you don't know how to throw a punch yet, and that's okay." His tone was matter-of-fact, not mocking, and Izuki found herself appreciating his honesty. He wasn't laughing at her; he was just being real.

Izuki nodded again, determined. "Okay, I'm ready for that."

"Once you've got the basics of fighting down, we'll work on your reaction time," Naruto said, and Izuki couldn't help but notice the slight shift in his tone, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes. Then he smiled—a little too sweetly.

A shiver ran down Izuki's spine. Oh shit, she thought, eyeing him warily. That smile was the kind that told her this training was about to get intense. He's totally a sadist, she realized, and, to her horror, a small part of her found that oddly… appealing. What the hell is wrong with me?

Shaking the thought away, she focused back on Naruto, who was already motioning for her to stand up. "Don't worry," he said, the grin still lingering on his face. "You'll survive. Probably."

Izuki gulped but stood up anyway, trying to steel herself for whatever insane training Naruto had planned. "Right. Let's do this," she said, sounding more confident than she felt.
