After a much-needed slumber party with Elena, Bonnie, and Caroline, I came to a realization. I love my friends. Even though they lied to me, they did it to protect me. Or that is what they told me. Regardless, I love them. Damon, however, is a different story and one day I will kill him for killing Mason.
Breaking me from my morning thoughts a phone rings out. "Go away!" yells Caroline as she pushes Elena out of the bed. Looking over Caroline, I watch Elena crawl towards her phone. "Hello?" she whispers. From my other side I hear Bonnie "SHHHHHH." "Elena" says Caroline. After our annoyed looks and comments Elena makes her way out of the room and the three of us go back to sleep. I love my friends.
"Okay. So, tell me about this big, witchy plan you've been cooking up." Asks Caroline of Bonnie, as the three of us sit together at the grill. "We still don't know the extent of what Elijah's up to." Responds Bonnie as I nod in agreement while picking at my fries. "No, we don't." "So, I'm gonna ask Luka to tell me what he knows." "Good. And ask him if he knows what Elijah's fascination with me is about." I add in. Looking between the two of us Caroline responds "And he's not gonna tell you anything." "I didn't say he was gonna have a choice." Says Bonnie. Using the fry in my hand I point it towards Bonnie and say, "now that is the type of witchy voodoo that I am talking about." Shaking her head at my Bonnie turns to Caroline only to find her staring off at Matt. Caroline waves towards him but he doesn't respond or acknowledge her. Ouch. "What was that about?" asks Bonnie. "Uh, I don't know. I thought that we were...I don't know." Says Caroline with a rejected look on her face.
From our seats Bonnie and I watch are Caroline approaches Matt. "what do you think Bon, good or bad, what are your withy vibes telling you?" I whisper to Bonnie. Dramatically rolling her eyes Bonnie responds "you realize you have itchy powers too, right?" I say as I say "Yes but you know mine work differently than yours. Speaking of. You should teach me some more spells!" Nodding and giving me a small smile Bonnie agrees. "Oh, shit Bon. Is that Tye?" I ask as he walks towards Caroline and Matt. Before either of us can do anything Caroline yells at Tye "I said just leave me alone." And storms out of the grill. "Well, I think that went bad, what do you think Bon?" "I think we should check on Caroline." Responds Bonnie. Nodding my head in agreement I grab some cash, enough to cover our food and placed in on the table before standing with Bonnie and following Caroline out of the grill.
Once the two of catch up with Caroline and talk her down we end up back at the grill with a plan for Bonnie to talk to Luka. Together Caroline and I sit at the opposite end of the grill as Bonnie approaches Luke with coffee. "Hey. How's it going?" asks a voice from behind us. Turing, we find Jeremy. "What are you doing here?" responds Caroline. "Bonnie called. I wanted to help. How's it going?" at once the three of us glance towards Bonnie and Luka and Caroline adds "She's selling it and he's buying it. She's giving him the sex smile." Trying to hold my laugh in I say, "way to lay it on thick Care." At the same time Jeremy says "All right, Caroline. I get it." With jealousy clear in his voice. "I think it is time we go over and help" I say as I see Luka struggling to stay up right. Giving me a nod the three of us make our way over to them and Jeremy offers to help walk Luka away from prying eyes.
Once the four make our way to Caroline's house with an unconscious Luka in tow, Caroline and I look for candles for Bonnie's spell. "We only have, like, an hour or two before my mom gets home, and these are all we could find." Tells Caroline. "Place these evenly around the room." Announces Bonnie as the three of us start to arrange the candles how Bonnie wants. "How does this work?" Asks Jeremy. "Um, I'll put him in a trance and ask him questions. It's like hypnosis" Shares Bonnie. "You sure you're strong enough for this?" "That's what the candles are for. I'll draw power from the flames" responds Bonnie. "And me. If she needs more juice." I add in while giving Jeremy a look I hope says shut up. I feel a hand grab mine as Caroline says "We will go find the matches. Come on Annie." She says as she pulls my hand toward the kitchen. With a sigh I go to follow her as Bonnie says, "I got it." Suddenly the candles are lit, and I grin. I love magic. "Never gonna get used to that." Says Jeremy with a shake of his head. Placing her hand son her hips Caroline turns slightly to him and says "Oh, come on. That's pretty hot, and you know it." Ignoring Caroline Bonnies announces, "I need a bowl of water." "Yeah, yeah. I'll-I'll go get it." Responds Jeremy as he makes his way out of the room towards the kitchen. "Okay. What was that? "It's hot"?" asks Bonnie. Letting out a laugh I interrupt Caroline "Oh come on Bonnie the boy obviously likes you." "So?" responds Bonnies. Caroline walks towards Bonnie and sits on the floor across from her. "So... What, you'd rather be with traitor warlock over here?" "I'm not into Luka. It's just, you know, he understood me, and he was new and different." "And you've known Jeremy since forever, and you only see him one way, as Elena's brother, but you're a witch, and I'm a vampire. You know, it's not like we're in any position..." "To be picky." Bonnie cuts in. laughing and shaking her head Caroline responds, "No. To judge." From behind us I hear Jeremy make his way back into the room and he hands Bonnie the bowl of water. "Looks like he's waking up." Announces Jeremy and Bonnies places the water by Luka's head. She quickly dips her hands in the water and places them on Lukas temples. All around us the candle flames grow, and Luka starts to breath heavily. It's working.
Caroline, Jeremy, and I stand off to the side of Bonnie who is still using her magic on Luka. "How long is this gonna take?" asks Caroline with annoyance. "I don't know. He's fighting me." Responds Bonnie as Luka starts to twist his head around and whispers "Please stop. Please." Suddenly his eyes close and he goes still "There. All right. Why are you working with Elijah?" asks Bonnie. "Klaus. We both want him dead." "You want to kill Klaus, too. Why?" "Because he has her, and we have to get her away from him." "Who...who are you talking about?" "My sister." "His sister?" adds Jeremy. Ignoring his comment, Bonnie asks "Why does he have her?" "He's searching for a way to undo the curse without the doppelgänger. He's forced generations of witches to help him for centuries." "What has Elijah promised you?" "If we help Elijah kill Klaus, he's promised to return her to us." "And how do you kill Klaus? How do you kill an Original vampire?" Luka starts to fight the spell again as he says "He'll kill me if I tell you. Don't make me." From beside us Jeremy says "It's okay, Bonnie. We can find another way." Bonnie aggressively shakes her head "No. How will you kill Klaus?" she asks as she pulls Luka back under. "After the sacrifice, Klaus will be vulnerable, weak. It's our only chance." "After the sacrifice?" whispers Caroline. "What do you mean, after?" Asks Bonnie. "Klaus will be vulnerable." "But Elena will be dead." "Yes. Elena has to die." Shaking his head Jeremy whispers "no." As Bonnie starts to let go of Luka I jump forward and place my hands over hers on Luka's Temple. Tapping into her spell I ask, "What does Elijah want with me?" Bonie tries to shake me off as he responds, "You belong to his family." In the same moment Caroline shakes off her shock and pulls me from Bonnie. "Let me go Caroline I need to know." I yells as I try to get out of her grip. "I know Annie, but not this way." She whispers in my ear. Looking back at Bonnie and Luka I hear Bonnie ask, "How does she belong to their family." As she asks, I feel my anger dissipate and I stop struggling in favor to listen. "The one made for a Mikaelson ahs always belonged to them. He will come for her. He needs her." Luka starts to fight again, and Bonnie looks up at me "I am so sorry Annie I can't hold on anymore without harming him." I close my eyes as I nod towards her and responds "It is okay Bonnie. Thank you." I think I need to talk to Elijah again.
After Bonnie erased Lukas mind and sent him home, I too made my way home. As I walk in the door, I find Carol Standing in the entrance way looking at a letter with tears in her eyes. "Carol?" I ask, "Are you okay?" Looking toward same she shakes her head "He is gone." "Who's gone?" "Tyler. He left." She announces as she passes me a letter with my name on it. "I what do you mean he left. Tye wouldn't just leave." I ask as I grab the letter. I glance at Carols face, and I see the harsh reality written all over it. I turn and run up the stairs towards Tye's room as I hear Carol yell after me. I enter his room only to find Most of his stuff gone. The furniture is the there but everything that makes this Tye's room is gone. I stumble towards his desk chair and take a seat. Do I want to know. I ask myself as I study the letter with my name on it. I need to know.
Annie,
I am so sorry, but I can't stay. I need to figure out how to live like this and Jules has agreed to help me. I don't know what to say. I love you. You are my sister, and I don't want to leave you, but I have to. All I have done is hurt the people I care about, and I don't want to anymore. I don't know how long I will be gone but I will miss you. I know you have this in you too and if you need me just call Jules at the number below.
