Emily looked up from her sleeping daughter and looked him in the eye trying to read the news he was about to give her but couldn't.

"Guys this doesn't make any sense," Spencer spoke as he stared at the board. "He's a classic power-reassurance rapist, but he also goes far enough to add some forensic counter measures. His conflicting ideals make me think this is about more than just his personal power dynamic."

Morgan folded his arms and nodded, everyone else on the team listening closely as well, "Alright, what are you thinking?"

"The DSM-5 describes sexual sadism as the physical or emotional pain of a sexual partner. I believe he is married. A power-reassurance rapist couldn't maintain a healthy relationship, so we discounted a spouse. Most people with paraphilic disorders start fantasizing at thirteen and never act on it. What if he's had these fantasies before but forced them away so he could maintain what he saw as a normal relationship? And what if something happened to his partner that harmed her sexually? Then he would have to watch her constant pain and that could have triggered something in him that desired to cause the same pain. I don't think what he makes them say is because of power-reassurance, I think it's a fetish. If it was truly about power, he would have made sure they knew who he was. He wouldn't hide his face." Everyone thought quietly for a minute.

JJ spoke up, "So he has more than one paraphilic disorder? Sexual sadism and fetishism?"

Reid nodded, "Most people with one have others, he probably also has fortuitism. It should be noted that the DSM does not include rape in its list of paraphilic disorders. He has just taken his own and perverted them to justify his actions."

Hotch nodded, that would explain the conflicting ideas. Hotch turned to the 'all knowing', "Garcia, I need you to run a search of married women raped within the last year."

"Uhh sir, that's going to be a hard search, not to mention the appalling number of unreported rapes each year."

"I know, based on the profile our unsub has some understanding of the process legally. It was reported. Check open and closed cases for women whose primary residence is Gillette. Also cross check the husbands with access to tranquilizing drugs that metabolize quickly."

"Aye-aye captain!"

"Alright we have to deliver the profile. Based on his pattern of escalation, we need to catch him before he gets another victim."

"I'm Dr. Eva West the on-call peds doctor tonight. I have looked over your daughter's ultrasound and I'd like to avoid surgery at all cost. I'm going to use this," she said, pulling out a portable ultrasound device out of her pocket, "and we will see how severe the infection is." Oakley wiggled around uncomfortably as she checked her stomach. "I'm going to order some IV antibiotics and have a nurse check the swelling in an hour. If it looks less swollen by then, we'll do a blood test to check her white blood cell counts and send her home with oral antibiotics. If it doesn't look less angry in an hour, we'll have to take her into surgery. Based on its appearance now, I'm hopeful."

Emily let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in, "Thank you doctor, I'd stand and shake your hand but," she signaled down to Oakley who was in her arms.

"Completely understand, Mrs. Prentiss. Oakley, try and get some sleep," and with that, she walked out the door. Please let the swelling go down, please. Emily prayed.

"What do you have Garcia?" Hotch asked.

"Okay, I just got a name from your search, turns out rural Wyoming doesn't have a lot of married women who were raped and whose spouse is a veterinarian."

"Baby girl, do all our victims have pets?" Morgan asked.

"Already checked, each person has visited North Easy Wyo Vet Services shortly before being abducted. Though they didn't see the same doctor."

"It doesn't matter, he could see them in the waiting room and feel the need to act," Hotch answered gruffly, "A name, Garcia?"

"Norman Bierman, work and home already sent."

Morgan and Rossi were checking his work, even though it was after hours while the others pulled up to the Bierman house. Uniformed officers pulled up beside them. After handing out tactical assignments, Hotch led his team to the front door, while JJ took hers to the back.

They apprehended Bierman quickly and easily. JJ felt a shiver run through her body at the smug smile he had as Hotch led him out. In that moment, JJ knew without a doubt, they caught the bastard.

"We've been awake for more than 24 hours, let's head to the hotel. We'll fly back out tomorrow, 10am. Meet in the lobby." As the exhaustion caught up to the team, they all headed back to the hotel willingly.

JJ dropped her go bag on the bed and lazily opened it. She needed sleep and would shower tomorrow. As she rifled around for pajamas, she brushed up against what felt like a piece of paper. Curiosity got the best of her and she fished it out. She unfolded it carefully and a smile hit her as she saw what it was. It was a finger painting she had assumed was made while she was at work last week. She was about to put it away when she saw the writing on the back.

We love you, momma and can't wait to see you when you get home. Be safe out there. I hope this makes you smile, love Oakley, Lily and Mommy. Written in the corner was: Oakley age 3

She could recognize Emily's handwriting anywhere and her heart swelled. JJ felt the tears hit her. She pulled the picture close to her and felt super sad she had to be away from her family especially while Oakley was sick. She knew it was 1:45am back in D.C. but she couldn't not call Emily.

"Hello?" Emily answered, sleep evident in her raspy voice.

"Babe it's me," Emily heard her wife sniffle.

"Jen what happened? Is everything okay?"

"Everything is so good and I love you so much. I just had to tell you."

Emily sat up in bed, smiling to herself, "What has got this coming up at," turning to see the clock, "2 in the morning?"

"I found the painting in my bag and it reminded me of how much I have," JJ sniffled, "How are our girls?"

"They're good. I couldn't reach you earlier, figured it was the entire state of Wyoming. Anyways, no surgery for Oakley girl; the IV antibiotics worked great. She has a prescription for the next five days to make sure it's all cleared out but we got home for dinner and she seemed to feel much better. She ate all her dinner and some of my dad's too." Emily chuckled lightly, "How's everything in the wild, wild west?"

"I'm so glad she's okay, I was so worried. I kind of, sort of, had a tantrum at Hotch today, but he was cool about it. We caught the bastard, we'll be home tomorrow."

"What do you mean you had a tantrum?" JJ could practically hear how the brunette's eyebrow quirked up.

She laughed, "I'll tell you tomorrow, I'm going to bed. Thank you for always thinking about me and putting Oakley's artwork in my bag. I love you."

"I love you too, sleep well Jennifer." Emily disconnected the phone and fell right back to sleep.

JJ changed and crawled into bed. Her weekend was one shit show after another, and after all said and done, the good she had done outweighed the bad. I'm so lucky to have such an amazing wife and beautiful girls who are safe and mostly healthy. That was her last thought as sleep took her quickly.

JJ walked through the garage into the house, messily dropping her bag in the kitchen and made her way in the following day. The only sounds heard were coming from the playroom and she made her way down the hall; it was Sunday evening so she assumed Jack would still be there. Her theory was confirmed as she heard his voice arguing with Emily over something about the 'best dinosaur'. She peeked her head around the corner and saw Garcia teaching Emily how to fishtail Oakley's hair. French braids and fun hair styles Emily could do all day long: fishtails were another story.

JJ still hadn't been seen when Emily huffed, "Why is fishtailing so complicated?"

"It's not, you just don't know what do to with your fingers!" Penelope exclaimed, also getting frustrated by Emily's failure.

JJ laughed loudly, getting the attention of everyone in the room, "Oh, she most certainly does!"

Lily screamed, "Momma! Dis baby doll see momma miss you an luv you an baby doll pwetty," while pitter pattering over to her rambling about the doll she was playing with. Oakley saw JJ and ran over to her for a hug as well.

She pulled back and looked at Oakley with Lily still in her arms, "How are you feeling sweetie?"

"All bettah, mommy help," Oakley nuzzled her head into the blonde's neck.

JJ looked up at Emily with a questioning look and mouthed, 'mommy', "It's a new development, Jen." Emily winked.

"I'm glad you're feeling better, baby girl. Hey Jack, your daddy should be here any minute." Then she looked towards Garcia, "Pen, how did you beat me here?"

"Oh peaches, I had to come see my nieces and nephew, you know that always puts an extra pep in my peppy step."

JJ rolled her eyes and plopped down on the couch, cuddling Emily as they shared a kiss. For a few moments, everyone enjoyed their time together. Hotch came and picked up Jack and then Pen reluctantly left as well.

Emily and JJ got the kids into bed and made their way to bed as well. Emily watched JJ make her way through her nighttime routine, but something seemed off. Just because she wasn't working at the BAU anymore didn't mean she'd lost her profiling skills.

"Babe?" the brunette mused, already in bed.

"Yeah, Em?" the younger woman called from the bathroom poking her head out.

"What's wrong?"

JJ sighed and stepped out of the bathroom fully, "Is it that obvious?"

"Probably not, but I think since I've started playing house, you forgot who I was before domesticity," Emily joked lightly.

JJ chucked, "How could I ever forget?"

"You're not answering the question."

"That's because I'm not sure what's wrong." JJ took a shaky breath, "I have so much to be happy about, but this case, it was just harder for me than it should be I guess."

Emily furrowed her brow, "How so?"

"Well, first of all, as a woman all cases involving sexual assault make me relate. I haven't even been a victim, but it's just the thought that it happens so frequently reminds me I could be. One error in judgement could put me in a dangerous situation." JJ made her way to sit on the bed with Emily who gently stroked a hand down the blonde's arm. "And then it was so much worse because I had to be a part of every victim interview. So I didn't get a break from the reminder. My tantrum was about how I couldn't be the only profiler in a boy's club. I think Hotch did his best to understand where I was coming from, but he can't, not fully anyway. And then when we arrested the unsub, he gave me this smug smile and looked at me like some piece of meat. It made me feel so gross." After sorting out all that happened, JJ understood her mood better. "I guess I'm just upset because I was the only team member who had to bear this emotional burden. Its exhausting being the only female profile on the team."

Emily completely understood, "A lot of times in the field, women have to be the sympathetic ones. We can't detach like the men, it's inherently against our nature. But the men in the field rely on that. They put too much stock in letting us handle the emotional aspects, so they don't have to. What they don't realize is how it affects us. They probably aren't looking for it, Jen." Emily chucked dryly, "Men trained in observing behavior still can't recognize when there needs to be boundaries for emotional protection. It's ironic, but I guarantee you you're not the only one. Do you know why Pen rushed here?"

"Because she wanted to see our girls?"

Emily laughed, "No, that's just a bonus. She was here because even though she wasn't out there doing what you were, she still had to listen to the horrific things those women went through. She needed a break from all that. It's okay if you do too."

JJ hugged her wife tightly. "I know baby, thank you. I love you."

Emily kissed the top of her wife's head, "I love you too, Jen. I'm so happy you're home."

"Me too, but I'm so exhausted," JJ said, snuggling into Emily.

"I know baby, let's go to sleep." And just like that, the two women were sound asleep.

"Turn it off!" JJ mumbled as she fumbled blindly for the alarm clock. She found it and pulled so hard she removed it from the wall.

"Jen, don't you have to go to work?" Emily asked, also displeased by the noise.

"No! I'll explain later, let me sleep."

Emily had planned on it. She was already asleep again, JJ following shortly after.

The couple didn't wake up again until they were attacked in their sleep. The culprits, two little girls.

Oakley and Lily bounced up and down on the bed, falling over onto the two women. JJ groaned, refusing to open her eyes. "Emily, your children are awake."

"Why are they my children?" Emily asked then quickly sat up realizing Lily had gotten out of her crib, "Oh my god, Jen!" she panicked, "Bug, how did you get out of your crib," Emily pulled Lily closer as Oakley snuggled next to her. "Oakley honey, did you help Lily out of her crib?" She looked down and away from Emily.

"Oakley, honey I'm not mad, you can tell me the truth," Emily said, tilting her chin up to look her mother in the eyes. Oakley nodded.

"It's okay, we're not upset. But please don't do it again, okay?" JJ said, causing Oakley to turn at look at JJ and break into tears.

JJ pulled Oakley into her lap, "Baby, talk to me. Why are you crying?"

"Pwease no pinch, no pinch," Oakley shifted herself trying to get out of JJ's lap.

"Oh baby girl, we will never ever hurt you," JJ tried to soothe her, but she wasn't having it.

Emily looked down at Lily who seemed nervous, not understanding why her new sister was upset, "It's okay, bug. She'll be okay."

"MOMMMMYYYYYYYYY!" Oakley screamed, still trying to escape JJ's arms. The scream broke both of their hearts.

"Bug, can you go snuggle with momma?" Emily said to Lily, encouraging her to scoot over into JJ's arms as she took Oakley.

Emily got off the bed cradling Oakley in her arms slowly bouncing her, "Shh, shh, shh. Mommy's right here baby," Emily headed into Oakley's room, getting her elephant off the bed; she swatted away when Emily tried to give it to her. "Oakley, baby you need to breathe for me. In and out, can you do that?" She tried soothing her, but the screams became more hysterical. She had never seen Oakley like this, even in the hospital. "Oakley, nobody is going to hurt you. Momma and I love you so much. You need to calm down for me, baby. Shh, shh, shh."

Back in the master bedroom, JJ had tears streaming down her face. Her heart was breaking seeing Oakley afraid of her was tearing her apart. Lily looked up at her JJ, "Momma no cry. Dis otay." In return, JJ wiped her tears away seeing her two-year-old trying to provide comfort.

"I'm okay bug, thank you for your hugs and kisses. They make momma feel so much better. Come on, let's go make some breakfast. Does that sound good?" Lily nodded.

When they walked past Oakley's room to go downstairs, JJ heard the tub running and as much as she wanted to see what was going on she didn't want to upset Lily by Oakley's hyperventilating. She prayed Mel was downstairs making breakfast so she could run back upstairs.

Luckily for her, Mel was there, a concerned look on her face, "Is everything okay?" She asked as Lily came running towards her; she leaned down to pick Lily up twirling her around then looked back at JJ.

"I'm going to go check, is Lily okay with you?"

"Of course, I love my Lily time, right pretty girl?" Mel tickled Lily, loving the precious sound of her giggles in the morning.

Upstairs, Emily had gotten in the bath with Oakley hoping the calming lavender bubbles and warm water could help her relax. Oakley was in Emily's lap, head on her mother's chest still hyperventilating. JJ walked in slowly seeing her wife rocking their daughter slowly. She went over to the tub and grabbed a washcloth, dipping it in the water then rubbed circles on Oakley's back. When she felt this, she flinched grabbing Emily even tighter.

"Oakley baby, you need to calm down honey. Come on, breathe for me. There we go, I've got you." Oakley loosened her grip and turned around to see JJ was the one rubbing her back then flinched again. JJ was trying to keep her tears back not knowing why she was so afraid of her all of a sudden. Emily could see right through JJ and felt terrible. Knowing it wasn't anything JJ had done and more of the fact Emily had been there while she was in the hospital, she looked into her eyes, "Babe, can you grab us some towels and clothes?"

JJ was visibly upset, but decided it was for the best; whatever was going on would work itself out in time, she hoped. When she came back, Emily had stood up in the tub, Oakley wrapped around her like a koala bear, "Oakley sweetie, can momma wrap you up in a warm towel and get you dressed?" She nodded in the crook of Emily's neck.

Emily kissed her head and handed her over to JJ, grabbing a towel from her wife in the process. She could see her smiling as Oakley put her head on JJ's chest, relaxing into the touch. Emily smiled in return knowing they would be okay.

Later that day, the family sat down and watched a movie together. JJ felt relieved, her heart full as Oakley snuggled in her lap while watching the movie, Lily wrapped in Emily's arms.

"Jen'fer?" the toddler asked quietly.

"Yes, Oakley?" JJ stopped watching the movie to look at her, she looked nervous.

"Why does Wily call you momma? She no wook wike you."

JJ was taken back for a moment, "Well, because mommy gave birth to her, not me." Oakley was looking at her, confusion written all over her face, "She was in mommy's tummy when she grew, not mine. So she looks like mommy, but that doesn't mean I love her any less. She's my daughter, just like you are."

JJ wasn't sure what else to say, she couldn't explain how Lily technically had a dad she doesn't know and she couldn't explain how Oakley came to be knowing she didn't know her mom or dad.

"Can I call you momma too?"

JJ's heart swelled, after everything that happened this morning, she was still stuck in her own head thinking she wasn't good enough. "Of course you can, little bear."

Oakley showed JJ her biggest smile, "Otay momma." JJ felt like crying but didn't have much time to process the moment. "Can we go pway?"

"Sure we can, sweetie."

The next day, JJ got up later than usual. Hotch told them to be in later that day because they should have a calm day. She was so excited to tell Garcia about what happened the day before. Now a 'momma' in the eyes of two perfect little angels.

JJ sat at her desk filling out mind-numbing paperwork when she heard a small commotion behind her however, didn't pay it much attention. Then she felt someone come up behind her and turn her chair. Instinctively, her hands fell to the gun on her hip, then she saw the dark brown eyes and brilliant smile of her wife. "What are you doing here?" She hugged Emily tightly, "Where are the girls?"

"Oh they were scooped up by Pen the second I was in the building," Emily laughed. "I think Reid and Morgan are with them."

JJ rolled her eyes, "Am I the only one who gets work done around here?"

"Yup. Come on, we're going to lunch," Emily pulled her wife from her chair.

Emily opened the door to Garcia's lair to see Morgan and Reid on the floor with their girls; Pen was in a chair telling a story with her hands. Oakley saw them enter, "Mommy, look! Penny gived me this!" She smiled brightly waving a troll doll in the air and she ran towards Emily, then she saw JJ, "Momma!" Everyone noticed the new moniker and smiled at JJ warmly. Lily noticed she was being left out and ran into Emily's arms looking over at JJ, "Momma, me too!" She squirmed to get out of Emily's arms and into JJ's who happily took her, now holding both her girls.

Emily had intended on a family lunch, but when the other three BAU members invited themselves, she supposed they were family too and agreed. When they reached the elevators, the doors opened and Hotch walked out with a tall, beautiful woman in tow.

Emily watched Morgan's eyes immediately fall to her. She rolled her eyes as she bit back a laugh. Hotch wasn't expecting them, but he cleared his throat and recovered easily, "Guys this is Dr. Tara Lewis, she'll be joining our team. Tara, these are SSA's Morgan, Jareau, Dr. Reid, and our technical analyst Penelope Garcia and Agent Jareau's family, Emily, Oakley, and Lily."

"Hi, it's a pleasure to meet you all!" JJ was the first to say anything, grateful Hotch had taken her advice so quickly. "Call me JJ," she said, hand extended outwards to shake, as Lily yelled, "No, momma!" They all laughed, "Yes bug, I am momma to you but to everyone else, I'm JJ." Lily was content with that answer.

Emily shook her hand and eyed the woman, "So this is my replacement?" She smiled and winked to let the new woman know there wouldn't be any tension.

Tara took the cue and smiled back, "So this is my predecessor?"

Derek laughed, "Oh come on princess, you didn't expect us to sit on our hands while you played housewife, did you?"

Emily leant over and jokingly slapped Morgan on the back of his head. "Come on, we're heading to lunch, you guys want to join?" JJ opened the invitation.

Hotch shook his head, "Sorry guys, someone has to keep this place running."

"Tara?" Emily asked.

"I'd love to! Where to?" she asked; her first day and this team was already so welcoming.

Emily looked at JJ, "Where to baby?"

"What about that diner right around the corner?"

"Sounds good," Emily said, moving towards Derek handing him the toddler, which surprised him for a moment. JJ did the same thing with Lily, as Emily smirked, "No way in hell am I carrying her in the snow, in these shoes, for two blocks. My wife won't be either."

"Come on, princess. You getting lazy? Or have you just lost your touch?" Morgan asked.

Emily rolled her eyes, "Shut up, Derek. I could still kick your ass to next week if I wanted to. Plus, someone needs to keep my wife warm, and it won't be you!"

Everyone laughed, Tara broke into a smile, "The legendary Emily Prentiss, even in domesticity, still lives up to her name."

Lunch was winding down when Emily's phone rang. She saw her mother's caller I.D. appear and groaned, "Hello mother."

"Emily Elizabeth Prentiss! I came over to bring my granddaughter some soup because she was just in the hospital and Melissa told me you took her to lunch. She has only got a little better and you brought her out in this weather? She'll catch her death!" Elizabeth scolded her daughter.

Emily took a deep breath, "Mother, it's fine. Oakley is fine. If I thought for even a moment there would be an issue, I wouldn't have taken the girls out. I'm sorry you're disappointed we're not home, but if you had called ahead, you wouldn't have been. Now, I have to go it isn't polite to be on the phone while out to lunch."

"Emily wait!" her mother called into the phone, "Emmy, I'm so bored." Emily laughed, "I just want to see you and my granddaughters."

Emily smiled into the phone, "Okay, how about I pick you up after Oakley's appointment and you can come shopping for swimsuits with the girls and me?"

"Thank you, Emily. I look forward to it."

"You're welcome, goodbye."

"I love you," Liz stated. Emily and Elizabeth hadn't always shared that sentiment out loud, but in the recent change of their dynamics, it became more frequent.

"I love you too, mother. Jen and the girls send their best." Emily hung up the phone and looked back at her friends.

Tara looked confused after JJ rolled her eyes at the shopping remark, "Shopping for swimsuits in winter?"

JJ laughed at how she said it, "Emily wants them to both learn how to swim, or at least be safe enough to be by our pool before summer. It's indoors, so Emily," she glared pointedly to her side, "spent way too much money on some private lessons that will be starting next week. Just like she spends way too much money on everything."

Emily shrugged, "I can't even begin to put a quantifiable price on my love and the safety of our babies." She winked at her wife.

"Oh, Jayje she's got you there," Morgan laughed.

"I just don't want our girls thinking they are entitled to everything they want," JJ quipped back.

"Not everything." Emily stressed, "I didn't give them a second cookie the other night, even though I really wanted to."

"Emily!" JJ whined, "They are both toddlers and already have a closet full of designer clothes, every toy they could dream of, and college tuitions. Not to mention their trust funds," JJ rolled her eyes.

The group laughed, and Tara spoke up, "Oh so Emily is loaded, loaded."

Garcia laughed harder, "Wait until you see their house."

"Hey!" Emily called out, "That was a gift."

"Oh come on Emster, the property tax on it alone is more than my net worth!" The group laughed harder at Garcia's remark.

They finished lunch in a fit of laughter and Emily looked at the time. "Hey, I have to go. Oakley has a follow up appointment with the doctor. Are you going to work late or?" Brown eyes bore into blue hoping for the answer she wanted.

"I'll try and be on time, Em." JJ answered, she was saddened by the immense hope in her wife's eyes.

"Okay," Emily said before pulling Lily out of her chair and kissing her wife. She walked over to Morgan who still had Oakley in his arms. "My car is parked in the guest lot," Morgan groaned, that particular lot was on the far end of the building.

"You owe me," he said as he helped Oakley get into her coat, while Emily helped Lily.

"Jen, pick up the tab," she said over her shoulder, earning a laugh from the group. She raised an eyebrow to her former partner, "Good?"

He smiled, "Seems even."

As they walked, Derek tried to catch everything his nieces were saying, but it wasn't easy because they were talking to each other about some toy. He looked at Oakley as she said, "You don't haveta carry me. Me big, I can walk."

Derek laughed at her and Emily rolled her eyes, a smile gracing her lips. "It's okay little princess, mommy asked me, so I'll do it. It's so you don't slip on the ice. Heaven forbid mommy ruins the suede on her boots."

Emily smacked his arm as they got to her car, "Watch yourself, Derek. I'll have Jen slip you extra files."

Later that day, Emily heard the doorbell ring. She was confused knowing Jen would walk right in as would her father. My mother is in the kitchen with the girls, she said daddy was at home. Did he want to come over too? Why wouldn't he just walk in?

As she opened the door, she saw Oakley's social worker. Emily's face fell and she panicked slightly. Did I do something wrong? Did a long-lost relative want her back? Please don't take my baby. Her mind fished for an explanation.

Sophia must have seen the shift and laughed lightly, "Emily, did you forget our scheduled visit?"

Suddenly the memory rushed back to her, and she laughed too, her face blushing. "Yes, I did. I'm sorry, we've been busy. Please, come in." She led the woman inside, "Can you give me a minute? I was going to give the girls a light snack before dinner."

"Yes, of course," the woman smiled. Most foster parents who forgot a visit rushed to get everything in order the best they could, but Emily was already put together. She genuinely just needed to give her daughter and foster daughter a snack. Sophia walked around the living room looking at the pictures that adorned the walls. She smiled as she saw what had to be a new one. Emily was holding Oakley while JJ was holding Lily; they were smiling at the girls as they were being tickled, both girls heads tilted back, their arms flailing.

Emily stepped back in and watched the other woman, "That's one of my favorites." She said softly, though it still startled Sophia.

"She seems quite happy here. Let's go through our checklist, can we start in her room?"

Sophia noticed the new decorations and the new clothes overfilling the closet. She laughed at a bag of even more new clothes sitting near the dresser.

Emily noticed what she was laughing at and chuckled, "We have a friend that can go a little overboard. Lily's room looks pretty much the same with flowers instead of mermaids."

Emily led Sophia around the house; in the kitchen, Emily was showing the locked liquor and knife cabinet when JJ came in through the door connected to the garage.

"Hey baby, I'm ho—oh, hi Sophia." She looked back at her wife, "Am I late?"

Emily hugged and kissed her wife, "No honey, Sophia is just doing a check-in. The girls are in the dining room with my mother. Can you go check on them?"

JJ pecked her lips once more, "Of course."

Sophia smiled, "Okay, I need to have a conversation with Oakley and then hopefully I can talk to you and your wife?"

Emily took Sophia to the dining room, Oakley and Lily sat at the table eating goldfish while Elizabeth was talking to them in French which caused them both to giggle. Emily asked her mom, also in French if she could take Lily and leave for a moment to give Sophia a minute alone with Oakley. Elizabeth nodded, following her daughter and JJ out in the hall, Lily in her arms.

"Is everything alright?" she asked.

"Everything is fine, mother. Just standard follow up, why don't you take Lily into the playroom. Go play with grandma Liz, bug, okay?"

"Mommy too?"

"I'll be in shortly, baby," Emily kissed her, then Elizabeth took her to play as Emily and JJ leaned closer to the dining room entrance to listen.

"Pwease don't make me weave," Oakley said, the sadness in her voice nearly caused JJ to cry.

"I'm not here to take you, Oakley. I just want to know how you like it here," Sophia said with a soft voice.

"MOMMMYYYYYY!" Oakley screamed, "I want mommy!" she burst into tears. Emily didn't know whether to run in and scoop her up, or let Sophia handle it.

Sophia turned around, hoping to find Emily or JJ in the doorway and when she locked eyes with Emily, she nodded. Emily ran in, taking Oakley into her arms while JJ went to get her elephant. "Shh, shh, shh. I'm right here baby, I've got you. Can you breathe for me?" Emily rubbed her back, "There we go, you're doing such a good job sweetie."

JJ ran in with her elephant and Oakley snuggled it into her arms as she sunk deeper into Emily's chest. Slowly she turned to look at Sophia, "Momma gives me 'phant when sad, mommy snubbles."

Sophia watched the two calm her down instantly, "Okay, that's all I need to know, Oakley." Then she looked towards to the women as Oakley snuggled her face back into Emily's chest, "Can I talk with you?" That last phrase itself could spell trouble, but the body language of Sophia told Emily there was nothing to worry about.

Sophia smiled, nodding when Emily signaled Oakley in her arms, letting her know it was fine she stayed. "You guys are both incredible with her, I think she's really starting to form a healthy attachment. That's really good for her cognitively. I can't express how please I am with both of you."

"Thank you, that means a lot," JJ said.

"We can set up another visit for a couple of months, do you have any questions before I leave?"

Emily covered the ear that wasn't pressed against her chest, "When can we adopt her? I know we've only had her for a short while, but we can't imagine our life without her."

JJ nodded her head in full agreement.

Sophia smiled brightly at them again, the case of the abandoned little girl that was her first case, was looking like it would get a happy ending, "Well, she is a ward of the state indefinitely. A judge would be more than willing to push your case through quickly. If we drew up the paperwork now, I would still do my check-in so I'd say three months."

Emily pulled Oakley closer, running her fingers through her hair, "So she can officially be ours before her fourth birthday?"

"Yes," Sophia answered, knowing there wouldn't be anything stopping a judge from seeing their way. "The most amazing birthday present if you ask me."

Later that night when the two mothers got into bed, Emily decided she wanted a little 'present' of her own. She straddled JJ, leaning down to kiss her slowly, but it quickly turned into hot and steamy. Emily wasted no time; she stripped her wife of her pajamas quickly. Emily spread JJ's legs wide, taking in the glistening arousal coating her sex as the uniquely sweet aroma hit her nose. Her mouth watered at the thought of getting a taste, not being able to control herself as she let her tongue swipe through the juices. Humming lowly, she went in for more, tongue grazing the bundle of nerves that was nestled at the top earning a throaty moan from her wife. She would never be able to get enough of JJ, her taste, the noises she made and the way she looked at her, it was overwhelming in the best way possible.

Emily had her face buried between JJ's legs, sucking lightly and flicking her tongue while JJ writhed under her mouth. The noises falling from JJ's mouth were heavenly, slowly getting louder and more uncontrolled as Emily worked her closer to climax. Emily rolled her tongue over JJ's clit hearing the blonde gasp.

"Don't look so smug missy," JJ smirked back at the brunette, a small laugh falling from Emily's mouth. "My turn," she quickly flipped Emily over onto her back, settling on her stomach so the brunette could feel her fresh arousal against her skin. JJ wasted no time mimicking the same teasing actions Emily made her endure, kissing and sucking on every exposed piece of hot skin she could, listening to Emily breath heavily above her, small moans and whimpers as she got closer to her goal. Pinching nipples between fingers, she trailed her tongue up Emily's stomach and back to rosy lips to kiss her deeply.

"Please Jen," Emily pleaded. JJ swiftly made her way down the brunette's body, settling in between her legs she began to graze her fingers through soaked heat. Pushing two fingers into Emily, JJ propped herself up on her elbows so she could watch the face above her, expression changing into one of pure pleasure as her eyes fluttered shut.

"Now that was a sight to behold," JJ smirked, taking her turn to be smug. Emily was still panting as she recovered from her high, turning to take in the blonde laid beside her.

"No one's made me squirt before," Emily finally breathed out.

"There's a first time for everything," JJ laughed.

"I love you, Jen," Emily smiled over to the blonde.

"I love you too, babe," JJ returned, moving closer to place a long and loving kiss to Emily's lips. They drifted off into a peaceful sleep in each other's arms, both smiling at the fact Oakley was going to be theirs.
