[Time Skip/Flash Back]
"Credo Beradon'na, Kyrie Beradon'na, please step forward."
At the big Holy Church of Fortuna, Blake Belladonna, who is was in the middle of acting as 'Bureiku Beradon'na', could be seen standing on the stage, for all the audience could watch and see, and as she stand there, both Credo and Kyrie, the adoptive children of the Priest Of Darkness, who were also now older as well, walked up on the stage and kneels down before their Mother
"Both of you have continued to greatly serve and support your Brothers and Sisters of Fortuna and the Order Of The Sword, with Credo fighting and protecting its citizens, and Kyrie helping and healing the sick and dying."
Blake both mentioned and praised her Adoptive Son and Daughter, who slightly blushed but also felt extremely proud from her words.
"And because of that, you two will now be fully accepted and truly be a part of the Order, and serve a much greater cause."
Blake then lifts up the 'Yamato', which was in it's sheath this time, and gently taps the shoulders and head of her Son, before doing the same with her Daughter
"Credo, you have risen from a simple Guardsman, into a true Holy Knight, of course you will be a simple Warrior, but if you work hard and continue to be determined, then you may one day be a General, or even something higher."
Blake quickly stated the new role that her Son will have, which truly made him happy to be given such a honor
"I will try my best to live up to your expectations."
But even with such feelings, Credo tries his best to act professional and cool, bowing his head and accepting his Mother's kindness
"Kyrie, you have risen from a simple volunteer, into a full fledged Holy Priestess, with this new title, not only will you be able to do more than serve soup to the poor, but be given the privilege to be on stage with me and sing to the entire audience."
Once Blake said this, her Daughter couldn't help but gasps in surprise, not expecting to be allowed to do such a thing, not only to help more people, but also be allowed to do what her Mother does
"I-I will be sure not to cause any trouble with my new title…"
Like her Brother, Kyrie also tries to be calm and collected, though was not as good in completely hiding her emotions and feelings, which made her Mother smile softly
"Usually, this will be the part where I unlock your 'Aura', but since you are my children, it has already been unlocked, so instead, I shall pray and wish for you both to stay safe and live long in your new roles."
Blake held her hands together, with the legendary weapon still in hand, and begins to pray for her children, to which the audience follow suit, getting out of their seats and on their knees, as everyone begins to pray for the two for more or less the same reason, there was a moment of silence as this was happening
"Zzzzzzzz…"
The moment of peace was suddenly interrupted by the sound of loud snoring, which made everyone turn their heads and looks to see who was responsible for disturbing the silence
"Oh brother…"
Credo couldn't help but sigh and shakes his head, while his Sister just lets out a small giggle, what they, and everyone saw, was Nero Belladonna, the true Son of the Priest, and basically a Prince Of Darkness, which means he has high status compared to his Adoptive Siblings, but despite that, he acts so carelessly and with little shame, like sleeping through the entire ceremony, most likely due to boredom, this made his mother frown slightly, not because of his actions, she honestly didn't mind if he wish not to be part of this 'Order Of The Sword' stuff, what really bothered her was what the people were saying about him
"To think he's actually the Son of the Priestess ."
"I thought being personally raised by the Maiden would show him some manners?"
"It's very disgraceful, is he even the descendant of Sparda?"
Blake was able to hear all the small talks and whispering, thanks to her Faunus traits, all the bad mouthing of her son made her upset and decided to personally stop it, by slamming the tip of sheathed 'Yamato' on the ground, doing this cause a loud enough sound to stop all the chattering and looked back at her, it even popped the snot bubble of her Son and completely woke him up
"I hope you both do well and serve our home and people greatly, this ceremony is adjourned."
Once all was said and done, the audience got up to their feets and started to leave the church, some still talking about the same thing, which did annoyed Blake, though she was able to ignore it, mostly thanks to her 10 Year Old Son running up to her and holding her hands
"Ugh, this place is too crowded, can we go home already?"
Nero clearly didn't like or care about this whole thing and would rather go back home with his family
"Nero, you need to show more respect and dignity in these Ceremonies, as the biological Son Of The Holy Order's Priestess, you need to act more like her and show grace and elegance."
Credo cross his arms and sternly glares at his Younger Adoptive Brother in dissatisfaction, who just sticks his tongue at him in response
"Come on Brother, he obviously didn't mean any harm by his actions, he was just sleepy, weren't you Nero?~"
Kyrie, unlike her Older Sibling, showed more patients and understanding, as she tries to defend the Grandson Of Sparda and pets his head, who smiles and nuzzles her hands, clearly showing more likeness towards his Adoptive Older Sister, this only made the Holy Knight huff and looks away, not happy that she coddling the Demon, Human, Faunus Hybrid, the Mother of three couldn't help but softly laugh at this
"Credo, may you please take your siblings home and look after them?"
Blake, once she was more calm and relaxed, decided to prepare to leave, while making sure to have her Eldest Child look after the family
"You're not coming with us?"
Nero looks up at her Mother with a pouting expression, to which she responded by pinching and kissing his forehead
"Don't act like I'll be gone forever, I just have a few duties to do before calling it a day, ok? "
Blake reassure her Son, who still huffs and pouts, but nods in acceptance
"I'll be sure Nero is well behaved when you return, Mother."
"And I'll have dinner ready by then Mom~"
Both Credo and Kyrie also gave their reassurance to their Mother, which made her glad to have such capable children, soon they said their goodbyes and started to leave with the rest of the crowd, leaving the Priest Of Darkness by herself once everyone was gone, which made her sigh and shakes her head
'I don't know what's more difficult, being a Priest, or a Mother, heh.'
Blake chuckle to herself and was about to do her task, so that she can return home quickly, though before she could, she noticed and saw a young man, maybe around or slightly older than her, and he just stood there, staring and looking up at the statue of Sparda
"Um, Sir, the ceremony is over, why are you still here?"
Blake walks up to him, both to let him know that he should leave, and was slightly curious on why he was still here
"Even though he was a Demon, she still loved him, right?"
The Man suddenly asked the Priest Of Darkness, much to her surprise, clearly wasn't expecting him to actually start a conversation with her
"She did, enough to marry and start a family with him, I'm not sure how she felt specifically, but I'm pretty sure she didn't care for who he was before and what he did, only what he felt for her in his heart and soul."
Blake didn't know what he was getting at, but as a Maiden Of The Night, she thought it was her job to answer and hopefully comfort him, even though he didn't show it, she can tell something was bothering him
"That's comforting to hear."
This made him smile lightly, he quickly pulls out a locket and opens, which allowed the Mistress Of Shadow to see a small picture of a young smiling lady
"Knowing that there was a possibility that Jenny would've still loved me if she was still here."
What the man said made the Priest Of Darkness flinch and frowns
"I'm… Sorry for your loss."
Blake couldn't help but suddenly feel sad and guilt, as if she unknowingly hurted the Man, who just puts away his locket and shakes his head
"You didn't do anything, it's my fault for bringing up my past out of nowhere, so I'm sorry for making this uncomfortable for you."
The man then turns away and started to walk away, planning on leaving
"I saw you with your family, be sure to always be there for them, you'll never know when they'll disappear and be gone forever…"
He was then gone, leaving the Beauty In Black all alone and by herself, who stood there looking at the door for a few moments, before looking up at the large statue, wearing a slight frown
'Nothing will ever take them away from me, that's a promise.'
Blake gripped the 'Yamato' tightly, before turning away and started to walk off to quickly finish her duties and return to her family… Soon, after everything was completed and fixed up, she started to walk home from the Church, and while walking, she couldn't help but enjoy the silence and took this chance to relax in the peace and think about her life
'A peaceful home, a loving family, and a place where I feel accepted, this life of mine is truly heavenly.'
Blake then stopped her walking and looked up at the night sky, more specifically at the full moon that shines the night sky, which made her smile
'Of course, I wish there were certain things that were still with me, but in the end, there is nothing I would change in what I have now.'
After Blake thought about the life she had and how she would never give it away to anyone, she was gonna continue on her walk and quickly return home, though before she could, her Kitty ears quickly twitches and suddenly heard something
'FeEd Me ThEiR hEaRtS!!!'
This was enough to slightly tense up Blake, quickly turns her head and saw a alleyway, which she heard the evil voice come from, she quickly went towards that direction and look around the corner, and what she saw made her go wide eyes in shock
"You Will Tell Me What I Want To Fucking Hear, If Not, Then I'll Send You To Hell Personally!"
In the dark alleyway, which was filled with nothing but shadows and dead bodies, stood a man, no, actually, a 'Demon', there stood a Demon, who seems to be in the middle of interrogating and threatening the life of a very injured Human, who looked beyond terrified and seemed to have wet his pants, this made the Priestess Of Darkness narrow her eyes and hides away
"TELL ME NOW!"
The Demon growls, as two devilish snake like tendrils roars and threatens to eat the Human, who yells in fear
"I DON'T KNOW!"
Was all the Human could say, which made the Demon very upset
"Wrong answer…"
As soon as the Demon heard something he didn't like, he was about to let his evil hungry Tendrils do as they please, though before they could eat the Human heart, or something much worse, a slashing sound could be heard, and in a instant, both the heads of the Tendrils came off, which surprised the and quickly looked at who was responsible for this
"'He Who Comes With The Night', 'The Demon Who Invented Murder And Misery', 'The One Who Corrupted Cain And Killed Able', and 'The Shadow That Always Existed', you have so many names and titles in the legends and books that you are in."
What the Demon saw, was Blake Belladonna, who completely ditched the 'Priest' get up, and wore clothes made of complete shadow's, all the while holding out and wielding her personal weapon, 'Hellish Shroud'
"But if you don't mind, I'll just call you by your normal name."
Blake quickly twirls her weapons and turns it into its 'Flintlock Pistol' form, aiming it at Demon that stood before her
"DARKNESS'..."
Without any hesitation, Blake wasted no time shooting a headshot at the Demon, which successfully hit and passed through his skull, making him stumble backwards and gripping his head in pain
"If you know a lot about this bastard, then you must be one of them."
After a moment to recover, the Demon looked up and glare at the Shadow Cat Ninja, both his head and Tendrils were completely healed and good as knew
'KiLl HeEeEeRrRrRrR!!!'
As soon as the monstrous voice yelled, who the Demonic Faunus assume was the Darkness, the Demon quickly pulls out his own two pistols, which were infused with 'Dark Power', and wasted no time shooting her, while also sending many of his Tendrils at her, who wants nothing more than to rip and tear, the Hellish Belladonna only wore a slight frown as she quickly aims her gun and shots any Tendrils that got close to her, while using her 'Bladed Sheath' to block and deflect any bullets that were about to hit her, while the whole 'Offense' meet 'Defense' was playing out, 'Boon' has moved away from her Mistress and tries to sneakily get behind the Demon, planning to either kill or seriously injure him, though before she could help in anyway, sharp claws digged in deeply into 'Boon', which surprised her and quickly looked up to see who was responsible for this
"Sorry Mat', but' can't' hav' you hurting friend Monkey lik' that'~"
Boon went eyes wide to see herself suddenly being surrounded by a bunch demonic goblin creatures, who were being led by a British looking one with a dead cat hat on his head, he and the others let out a excited laugh as they jumped into their shadows and started to tackle Boon, seeing this happened momentarily surprised and distracted the Shadow Cat Ninja, which gave the the Tendrils a chance to grab both of her wrists, biting hard enough to make her drop her weapons and hold her up in the air
"Let's see if you're more cooperative compared to the other guy."
The Tendrils brought the Demonic Faunus to the Demon and aimed his guns at her head in a threatening manner, she only lets out a huff before quickly using a 'Shadow Clones' to escape from their gripped and end up behind him
"I'm not."
Was all Blake had to say to him, who just instantly turns around and tries to shoot her, but she used her sharpen 'Shadow Claws' to swipe and break both guns before kicking him away, which made him crash into a wall, though that didn't stop him, as he quickly got out the destroyed wall and jump towards the Mistress Of The Night, turning his own hands into 'Darkness Claws' and tries to slashed at her, to which she dodges and returns the favor, the two were now having some kind of 'Sword Dance', though using their sharpen hands, attacking, slashing, deflecting and avoiding each other, none of them are wavering and none of them are stopping, though as the two were doing this, a 'Dimensional Portal' opens up behind the Hellish Belladonna and another Serpent like Tendril appears from it, it glares and wore a very hungry expression, and without a moment hesitation, it quickly thrust forwards and attempts to pierced her from the back, though before it could even reached her, a bladed 'Shadow Tail' stabbed under and through its under jaw and out from its top head, stopping and killing it instantly
"Stop with the sneak attacks."
Both Blake and the Demon clashed hands and were now trying to over power one another
"They don't work on me."
Blake wore a slight annoyed expression as she slowly pushed the Demon to his knees, who growls and struggled to stay standing
'YoUr LoSiNg, LET ME TAKE OVEEEERRRRR!!!'
As soon as the Darkness yells this, the Demon took a moment to stop struggling and stayed silent
"... Fine."
After the Demon reluctantly agreed, a giant explosion of purple red 'Aura' exploded everywhere, which pushed anyway both random objects and the fighting 'Shadows', which also making the Shadow Cat Ninja look away from such a powerful force
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, YEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!~"
A loud laughter came from the Darkness, as the Demon's body started to morph and transformed into something much more 'Monstrous', the claws that were holding onto the Demonic Faunus grew much more bigger and grotesque, enough so to break and shatter both hands of the Mistress Of Darkness, who winced in pain and fall on both knees
"TIME TO EXPERIENCE TRUE HEEEELLLLL!!!~"
Once the Darkness said this, a more 'Serpent Tendrils' came out and bit into and held tightly to the Hellish Belladonna body, before another yet larger 'Portal' appears beneath the two, the Monstrous Demon laughs loudly of pure sadism and evil, while slowly dragging her into another dimension with him, before it closes and leaves the Shadows alone together, Boon and the others couldn't help but look at one another in confusion, they wanted to wait and see what would happen next
"... A WEAPON OF SPARDA!?!?!?"
In an instant, the 'Portal' opens back up and out came a certain someone in their 'Belladonna Trigger' and hold the broken handle and blade of 'Yamato', which shocks all the Demonic Goblins Creatures that stood by Boon, and after she walks out, a human looking man also came out the 'Portal' and fall to the ground
"PuPpEt! ApOlOgIzE aNd LeAvE!"
After the Darkness spoke in a terrified and worried tone, the 'Portal' disappeared and left both the Hellish Belladonna and the Human alone
"I guess even the Darkness knows not to mess with someone that is associated with Sparda, not that surprising, especially if you knew his might that he wields."
Blake turns off her trigger and looks at Boon and the Shadows that were on or around her, who quickly ran off and disappear as well and them alone, all of them left and were gone, all except one, who continued to watch in wide eyes
"I wish most Demons and Devils were like that, it would make my life so much more peaceful."
Though Blake ignored all that and looked back at the Human that was on his hands and knees
"But enough about that, since you seemed to have given your soul to the Devil, that means you have given up your humanity and have become a monster."
Blake aimed the broken blade at the Human Man head and narrow her eyes
"And because of that, I must kill you before you cause more mayhem. I hope you can understand that."
Just as Blake was about to end the Man's life, he quickly looked at her and showed off a familiar face, which made her go wide eyes in shock
"If anyone deserves to kill me, I would be happy if it was you…"
The Man wore a light smile, as if glad with the thought he would be killed by someone like her, to which she could only respond by staring at him with a confused and now unsure expression…
"... So that's the story huh?"
Soon, after such a unusual encounter with one another, both Blake and the Man sat at a random bench in a random park, unsure for how long, but mostly spent their time talking and understanding the situation they were in, though as they did that, Boon and the British Darkling could be seen playing and actually getting along with one another, seeing as they weren't really enemies
"Yeah, I'm no saint, I'm aware of that, but it's the truth that I wasn't killing random innocent, I can promise that much."
Hearing what the man said made the Shadow Cat Ninja sigh softly and shakes her head
"With the existence of Demons and Monsters, I sometimes forget that the Human race exists, and how horrible they can really be."
Blake frowns softly, as she really has to think about what she might need to do when meeting such unredeemable Humans
"We certainly do live in such a 'Wonderful World' huh? Heh…"
The Human looks up at the night sky, to which the Demonic Faunus did the same, both now looking at the night sky, with many twinkling stars and a large bright moon, even though the night can bring such darkness and evil, they couldn't help but relax and smile from how nice and quiet it can be as well, the simple joys of life for sure
"... Is that the reason why you asked me that question?"
Blake continues to speak with the Man, while still admiring the night sky
"Yes…"
The Man sighs and looks down, once again opening his locket and looked at the picture of his late lover again
"Did you change your answer after seeing what I've become in the Shadows?..."
When he asked this, the Mistress Of Darkness looks away from the stars and back at 'Yamato' that she holding and laying on her lap
"No, especially since I know it wasn't your fault and you clearly didn't want this."
Blake then looks at Human and gave him a light comforting grin, which made him chuckle and shakes his head
"I guess now I know why you're called the 'Midnight Mother'."
What he said instantly made the Hellish Belladonna replace her smile with a puffed cheeks pout
"Don't you dare call me that, you have no idea how many people call me stuff like 'Big Sister Shadow', 'Auntie Black', or even 'Granny Darkness'..."
Blake groans as she remembers all the youthful people looking to her and seeing her as some kind of Motherly figure, it made feel so embarrassed
"Heh, don't worry Blake, I won't."
Soon the Man decided to stand up to his feet, stretching and rubbing any stiff spots on his body
"Well, I guess it's time for me to leave, no more leads to follow and I don't want to cause any more unnecessary trouble in your home."
The Man looks back at the Shadow Cat Ninja and gave a polite bow
"Stay safe, and I hope we can meet again in much more reasonable situations."
Without saying anything else, the Man turns away and finally begins to leave the area, most likely to go home, to which the Demonic Faunus waves goodbye
"I hope so to, Jackie Estacado, and don't hesitate to visit again~"
Once the one known as Jackie Estacado was completely gone, Blake just continue to sit on the bench, closing her eyes and started to be lost in thought after experiencing what she had experienced
'A life of misfortune, huh?'
[Flash Back]
"So you ran away from home, without even saying goodbye to your Mother and Father?"
Vergil couldn't help but look up from his book and frown at Blake, who couldn't help look down in shame
"I know, it's stupid that I even did that, especially for someone who was honestly controlling and abusive to me…"
Blake looked at her own reflection in the tea cup and couldn't help but frown at herself
'Controlling and abusive?'
For some reason, hearing that made Vergil frown even more deeply, and even gripped the handle of his weapon much more tightly
"I wish I had the chance to see them again, so that I can tell them how sorry I am and how much I still love them."
What Blake said made Vergil snap out of his unfamiliar emotions and looked back at her, immediately he noticed the expression that showed hidden sadness and regret
"... You lost your parents, didn't you?"
Vergil asked in a soft tone, to which Blake nods lightly
"Yeah, you can say that…"
Before Blake could continue to feel completely upset and lost, she was suddenly pat on the head and softly rubbed, which startles her as she quickly looks up to see Vergil was the one doing this
"Stay strong, Blake Belladonna, such a face makes you look weak."
After Vergil comfort Blake in his own way, he quickly sat back down and looks back at the book he was reading, Blake was just left in a moment of blushing embarrassment
"T-Thank you Vergil~"
Though despite feeling embarrassed, Blake couldn't help but smile and feel a lot better after receiving such comfort from Vergil
"Hmph…"
[End Flash]
Blake Belladonna held up the broken handle of 'Yamato' and held it up high, letting the broken blade to reflect both herself and the moon light, she wore a sad smile when she looked at the weapon
'I will never break or become weak, despite the many misfortunes I've suffered, I will continue to stay strong and move forward...'
Blake then sheathed her sword and quickly stand up to her feet and started to walk off and away from where she was at
'Because 'Might Is Everything', after all, just like you always told me before, Vergil…'
Ok, to be honest, I do have a reason for including Jackie Estacado, but even I can admit that I have no idea what I was trying to do, ugh, anyway slight spoilers, but next chapter will be more serious, can't wait~
(BTW, something was brought up to my attention by a friend named Daemon, who I ask for advice sometimes for this story, anyway, they brought up Nero's Semblance/Aura, and I was like 'FUCK I FORGOT', and now I need to think of Semblance ideas for both Nero, and Bianca, and while some cool powers do some into mind, I would still like to hear your thoughts and suggestions~)
[My Nero's Semblance Idea]
Power Style: The ability to take away or give away/back any semblance or ability, like if he takes away Ruby's power, or if gave away his ability to heal, then both of them will no longer have said ability.
(It represents the small Vergil in him that wants 'Power', while also representing the small part of Blake who wants to do better)
[My Bianca's Semblance Idea]
Pain Exchange Style: A mix of Royal Guard and Yang's semblance, like she gets power from pain, or whenever she gets injured, her enemy gets the same injuries.
(I definitely want something that represents both Dante and Yang)
