Hey everyone! Sorry it's been awhile! I am still working on my next chapter for the main story. Sorry that's taking awhile too. A new chapter should be up soon though! In the meantime, I wanted to get these requests out to you! I believe these are all of the ones on my list, so please send me more or let me know if I missed one! Enjoy :)
A Day with Her Dad
David and Hanna bonding during season 2. This is set in the first part of the season when Snow and Emma are in the Enchanted Forest.
David turned to Hanna, who was sitting next to him in the truck. "Are you sure you can't go today?" They were sitting outside the school. Henry was already on his way into the building, but Hanna claimed to be sick.
"My stomach really hurts," Hanna told him. "Can't I just come to work with you?"
David sighed. "Alright, let's go."
Hanna tried to hold back a smile. Convincing him to let her miss school was almost too easy. She felt a little guilty for lying, but she was more excited to spend the day with him.
Hanna sat at one of the desks and read a book while her dad did some paperwork when they first got to the station. Then, after awhile, he got up and seemed to be searching for something.
"If you tell me what you're looking for, I can probably help," Hanna said.
David looked up from the desk. "Do you know where your sister keeps the spare keys to the cruiser?"
"They're in her office." Hanna went to Emma's desk and opened the middle drawer. She reached to the back and pulled out the set of keys. She held them out to her dad. "Here you go."
"Thank you. Do you know where an extra set of walkie talkies might be?"
"Mhmm." Hanna ran out of Emma's office and to the cabinet near the window. She opened the right side door and pulled the walkie talkies down from the top shelf. She walked over to her dad and gave them to him.
"You really know your way around this place, don't you?"
Hanna smiled. "I know where Emma hides her snacks too if you get hungry."
David laughed. "I'll keep that in mind." He put his hand on her back and led her to the door. "Let's go. I need to run a few errands."
They drove through town to see the how the repairs were coming along. The wraith did a lot of damage before they sent it through the hat. Then they swung by the mines to see if the dwarves made any progress finding the diamonds. They still hadn't found any yet, but they were sure they would find some soon. They stopped by Mr. Gold's shop too, but Hanna wasn't sure why. Her Dad made her stay in the truck.
"How about we head to Granny's for some lunch?" David asked. "Unless your stomach still hurts?"
"No, we can go. I'm feeling better."
"Better enough to go back to school?"
Hanna shook her head.
"Alright, let's go eat then. I'm starving."
"Me too. Can I get a hot chocolate with my lunch?"
David smiled. "Sure, kiddo."
Hanna was pretty sure he knew she wasn't actually sick, but she was glad he was letting her get away with it. She liked spending a day with her dad. He would probably make her go to school tomorrow, and Hanna already decided she would go without a fight.
