The Village
In season 3, David taking Hanna into the village and spoiling her.
"I can really get anything?" Hanna asked when they arrived at the village.
David nodded. "Whatever you want."
Hanna smiled and looked around at the different shops, trying to decide which one she wanted to go to first. Hanna took her dad's hand and pulled him towards the candy shop.
Hanna wasn't even in the shop for five minutes before she had three bags full of candy.
"Okay, okay. I know I said anything, but I think that's enough candy for today."
Hanna still really wanted the chocolate crunchy balls she liked. She looked up at him and gave him the saddest eyes she could. "Just one more?"
David sighed. "Okay, but just one."
"Thanks, Dad!"
Hanna got her last bag of candy, then they went to the bookstore. She picked out a few books, a new drawing pad, and pencils. Then she picked out a set of bow and arrows from the shop next door. She got a new riding outfit too. After leaving the last store, Hanna realized how much her dad actually bought for her.
"Dad, are you sure this is okay?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, this is a lot of stuff and it probably cost a lot of money and…"
"Hanna, don't worry about the money. It's fine."
Hanna looked down and shook her head. "I don't know."
David knelt down in front of her. "Hey, look at me." He gently lifted her chin. "I am more than happy to buy all of this for you."
"Really?"
"Of course. I would have bought you way more than this if I could have when you were growing up. Let me make up for it now."
Hanna gave him a smile and nodded. "Thanks, Dad."
David pulled her into his arms and held her close. "Your mother might kill me though. There won't be anything left to buy you when Christmas comes."
Hanna laughed. "I'm sure you'll think something."
David gave her a wink. "Are you ready to head home?"
"Well…" Hanna looked behind her to one more shop she really wanted to go to. She turned back to her dad. "Can we get some ice cream before we go?"
David smiled. "Sure. How about we get it to go and bring your mom some too?"
"Yeah that's a great idea."
They picked out their favorite flavors and went back to the palace. They all enjoyed their ice cream, while Hanna showed Snow her haul for the day.
