Chapter 7
In the girl's restroom
While Crimson was not a fan of wearing what the conformists wear. Conformists mostly being whatever teen magazines and young adult influencers on social media. She still had to put in some effort for her outfit if she wanted to reveal her true self. Not just her ordinary clothes or just an extra addition to her typical goth outfit.
No, she had a big theme going on and had it stuffed inside of a suitcase. She was opening up when she heard some loud boots clicking on the floor. Crimson initially ignored it as the restroom was completely empty and there were plenty of stalls for another person to use. Then she had to be annoyed with the sound of someone knocking.
Seriously, several stalls and one girl had to knock on hers.
"Someone is in here." Crimson said.
"It's me." said a woman with a British voice.
"I don't know who you are. I don't care who you are. This place isn't a social call." Crimson said, clearly annoyed.
"Crimson, it's Alice Liddel." the woman said.
Crimson narrowed her eyes as she turned towards the door. She peeked under it and saw a pair of black boots with several silver buckles on it. She didn't buy the idea that a video game character just came into this world. Of course not many people called her Crimson but there may have been one or more people that may have heard someone call her by that name.
Then again, there's only one person with a British voice that would call her by that name.
"Ms. Victoria, if that's you. This isn't a good joke." Crimson said.
"Crimson, I am trying to be civil. There's an important conversation we must have and we can't dally for too long." she said.
"You're saying you're Alice Liddel? The 19th century woman based on the video game from American McGee?" Crimson asked, hearing a loud sigh.
"Crimson, I swear, if I must break down this door, I will. I'm holding back not only because you are my friend." Alice said.
She would have added the fact that perhaps Crimson was on the toilet. However, that fear went away when she noticed Crimson's legs were turned the other direction a moment ago.
"Okay, I'm going to open this door. If you're a prankster, I'm going to go easy on you." Crimson said, having no patience for stupid pranks
Once Crimson opened the stall door, she found a familiar light skinned young woman with green eyes and black hair with a blue dress and white apron. She looked her up and down and saw the knife from the game in her hands.
"Okay, you're a good cosplayer." Crimson said, still not taking this seriously.
"I don't know what sport that is." Alice replied.
"No, you know what I mean. A cosplayer-"
Crimson was interrupted by the sound of shaking and crashing. Before she could question it, she heard a high pitched voice nearby along with several footsteps coming around the corner and into the restroom.
"I heard a voice this way."
"You hear a lot of things."
"Enough! The god has asked us to leave no corner unturned."
Crimson looked confused, "Okay, what is that?" she asked.
"Get back in there." Alice said as she shoved Crimson back into the stall.
Before Crimson could demand an explanation. She heard a loud growl and the sound of a laser.
"Human!"
"Stay right there!" Alice yelled at Crimson.
Alice then burst into butterflies in front of Crimson. Who then saw plasma firing where Alice once stood. The goth girl slowly inched her way out as she heard some screaming and the sounds of flesh being cut. When Crimson reached the edge of the stall doorway, she peeked and saw four dead grunts and an elite thrown onto the ground.
Alice slowly walked up to the elite who reached for his plasma rifle. He shot at Alice a few times only for her to burst into butterflies before straddling the elite. Seconds later, the elite was stabbed several times in the chest and throat with blue blood splashing everywhere.
"Okay, if this is some weird student film. I think you guys went over budget." Crimson said.
Before Alice could respond, they heard another scream and saw an elite zealot enter the restroom next. The zealot moved quickly and wildly at Alice who repeatedly slashed at his body before breaking its shields. With another slash, the zealot almost took of Alice's head but then found himself being hit from behind with the Hobby Horse.
As the zealot crashed into a stall. He tried to activate his energy sword again only for Alice to smash in his head with the Hobby Horse a few times. Which subsequently destroyed the toilet along with the elite's face.
"Do you still doubt my existence?" Alice asked.
Crimson blinked twice as she shook her head to make sure this was all real. Like Seras, she didn't believe this was possible. A video game character from a game she enjoyed was in the real world and being attacked by enemies from a completely different game.
"I know you are confused, but right now. Your other allies are in need of your help." Alice said.
"You mean Naruto and B?" Crimson asked.
"Those are their names? Then yes, they are no doubt already engaging these monsters in battle by now." Alice said.
"Well unless I have a weapon, preferably one filled with magic. I can't do anything bare fisted." Crimson said.
"And that is why I came prepared." Alice replied.
That's when Alice pulled out a small chest from the corner of the restroom. She opened it and Crimson found a black and red version of Alice's outfit inside along with copies of her weapons.
"You will need these. The dress will also activate your abilities as well." Alice said.
And with that, Crimson took the chest and locked herself in the stall again. Where she would soon join Alice on an important mission.
Meanwhile, outside of the academy
The battle already became messy and ugly given how quick the next wave was to come and go. Not that they retreated once things looked really bad. From the point of the view of the gamers, they could guess everyone was either suicidal or had a leader that didn't accept any excuse for failure.
Except death… death is an excuse because that exempts you from punishment.
That is assuming their leader isn't a necromancer.
"Some of these guys are not my cup of tea." Dante said as he was shooting at some Stormtroopers.
"I think you are definitely out of their league." Naruto said.
The group then took cover as a wave of TIE fighters came raining down on them. Upon noticing their striking pattern, Dante looked around before having a wild idea.
"Hold the line, I'm gonna try something." He said before running off.
B looked at Naruto with a questioning look.
"I don't question the guy. He signs my nonexistent paychecks." Naruto replied.
Soon enough, more Stormtroopers arrived and started throwing thermal detonators into their cover. Forcing them to all get out and expose themselves to blaster fire. However, one of them had a different idea.
"Chief, you should show these plastic boys what a real soldier is made of." Cortana said.
The Master Chief nodded and threw a pair of frag grenades at the Stormtroopers. Several of them were killed in the blasts while others either took cover or were pushed away by the blast. Leaving them open for Chief to blast through with his assault rifle.
The soldiers of the Galactic Empire were turned into Swiss cheese as the Chief continued to blast past them. With one lucky trooper jumping onto his back and trying to choke him out. Only for the Chief to slam his back against a nearby tree and shake the trooper off.
"Okay, sometimes street level fights are the most badass things." Naruto commented.
Then he noticed a jackal sniper preparing to take him. Only for Dante to behead it in a clean strike. Where he then jumped off from his vantage point and grabbed onto a TIE fighter that tried to shoot at Naruto and B.
"I have no idea what that guy is up to now." Naruto said as they moved forward.
Back with the Chief, he slammed a stormtrooper into another stormtrooper. Where he then turned his attention to a scout trooper rushing at him with an electric rod. The Chief grabbed his wrist before the scout trooper could hit him and began to crush his arm.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! What kind of droid are you!?" The scout trooper asked.
"I'm no robot." Chief said before tossing the trooper into an incoming stormtrooper.
"Okay Chief, I think we did enough showboating." Cortana told him.
The Spartan looked at the mess he made and just looked on. There was one surviving stormtrooper who tried to crawl away but was promptly shot in the head with a pistol.
"Double tap, always gotta be sure." Cortana said.
The Master Chief then looked up to see the Star Destroyers and Covenant ships that were still looking imposing.
"I think you're going to need a bigger gun." Cortana said.
The Chief was then reunited with Naruto and B. Along with Dante once the devil/human hybrid arrives after crashing a TIE Fighter after destroying two others.
"We're going to have to keep fighting. Those giant floating behemoths are too well defended." Dante said.
"You couldn't reach it?" Naruto asked.
"I tried but they're too quick to react. So either we take them down from here, hope they run away or wait until some other thing gets their attention." Dante said.
"All of that sounds impossible unless B here can craft a giant laser cannon." Naruto said.
The Chief looked at B who picked up some Imperial blaster rifles and grenades but ended up just shrugging. The Chief just shook his head and reloaded his ammo before hearing Cortana speaking again.
"Warning, incoming transports." Cortana said as several Blarg transport ships made their way here.
"I got this." Dante said as he ran towards them.
"Cortana, any way you can call for some support?" Naruto asked.
"That bandaged man, DiZ, said something should be on the way. Let's hope he doesn't take too long." Cortana said.
Naruto sighed but nodded as he picked up a blaster rifle and attached it to his belt. Where he then saw a Covenant dropship heading towards them. The group then took cover as the ship started shooting at them before dropping a squadron of zealots along with a familiar face.
One that left a loud metallic thump once they landed.
"You have to be kidding me." Naruto said.
"Chief, I think you're not the only cyborg in town anymore." Cortana said.
"What is that?" Chief asked as he looked towards Naruto.
Despite usually being so monotone and sounding badass for it. The Master Chief sounded like had just witnessed something disgusting or fairly disturbing.
"That sir, is General Grievous. The result of turning a proud warrior with anger management issues into a cyborg." Naruto explained.
As Grievous arrived, extended all four of his mechanical arms. Instead of presenting four lightsabers, he showed off two lightsabers and two energy swords.
"Jedi, you will not run away again." Grievous said.
"And of course, he just had to team up with zealots." Naruto said.
The zealots activated their energy swords and prepared to attack Naruto but were stopped by Grievous. Who gave them the signal to back away and let him fight Naruto. Being equally honor bound (as well as occasionally having anger issues), the sangheili nodded and let their commander fight.
"Jedi, I've donned new weapons. Picked from fine warriors who wanted to test their mettle." Grievous said.
Naruto scoffed, "Whether you're commanding a bunch of droids or warriors. You're still just a bloodthirsty robot." he said.
Grievous glared, "I am not a droid and you will not run from today." he said.
Naruto ignited his lightsaber while the Master Chief and B prepared their guns in case things got messy. Everyone just watched as the two combatants dared each other to take the first strike. WIth Naruto running towards Grievous only to slide sideways as Grievous tried to impale him with every weapon he had.
Naruto attacked Grievous while he was exposed and immediately forced the droid general into the defensive. Where he attacked quickly and wildly to keep Grievous from thinking clearly. Only to mess up once his lightsaber got caught in the gap of one of the energy swords.
Grievous chuckled before twisting his mechanical arm and making Naruto drop his lightsaber. Allowing the droid general to kick Naruto across the ground. Where Grievous jumped into the air and tried to crush Naruto's skull with his foot.
But luckily for the blond boy, he rolled away in time and retrieved his lightsaber with the Force. Using the split second of Grievous' attack to strike at him. Hitting one of the arms that held an energy sword, dropping it.
Grievous snarled as he slashed at Naruto who ducked under the attack. Then used the Force to take the energy sword and activate it.
"Chief, don't you think we should step in or something." Cortana asked.
The Master Chief contemplated taking a shot but wasn't sure if he would land a hit. It would likely cause the zealots to attack and break away from this duel.
B on the other hand was crafting some tools and preparing something to bring down those zealots once they were ready to attack.
And that was when a loud burst was heard in the sky. Everyone looked up and saw a Rebel Alliance Cruiser in the sky with several transports following it. Soon enough, an X-Wing fighter started firing on the Covenant drop ship, destroying it as a result and interrupting the duel.
"Get them!" Grievous ordered.
The zealots let out a war cry as the Chief started opening fire. Once they got close however, B threw a set of cluster bombs that exploded once they came close enough. Eliminating the zealots before they could become a threat.
"What now Grievous? Our backup is here and you're all alone again." Naruto asked as he kept attacking Grievous.
"Don't be cocky, Jedi." Grievous said before parrying his next attack.
With Crimson
Following Alice, Crimson dashed across the school hallways in the form of a swarm of butterflies. Both girls made their way out of the school and saw the warfare going on.
"Okay, this became a whole other level of weird." Crimson said as she looked at everything.
Crimson watched as squadrons of starfighters combated each other. Some straying away and opening fire on the ground forces or key areas worth attacking. Regardless of where the fight took place, it looked like nowhere was safe and there was no end to the fighting.
"From this point, there is little I know on what to do." Alice said.
"We find Naruto and B, that's what we do next. They're probably working on some crackpot scheme to end this fight." Crimson suggested.
"Then I hope your friends are alive or at least avoiding where the most danger is occuring." Alice said as they began to move again.
"If you have a die, roll it. That will tell you how bad things are for them." Crimson answered.
Suddenly, a group of Blarg troopers got in their way and started shooting at them. Luckily the aliens were just typical mobs with little fighting skill.
"Alice, you fight from a distance. I'll get close." Crimson said.
"Very well." Alice said as she pulled out her Pepper Grinder.
As Alice started firing on the Blarg. Crimson dashed closer towards the Blarg troopers who started firing. All of them missing as they couldn't land a hit due to the goth girl turning into a swarm of butterflies with each dodge. Most of them got picked off by Alice before finding themselves up close and personal with Crimson.
The closed trooper tried to kick her only to have his leg severed with a Vorpal Blade. Crimson continued to swing her weapon around with great speed and efficiency, butchering the entire squadron without difficulty.
"That hits differently." Crimson said before kicking a severed head across the ground.
A few seconds later, a trio of Blarg armored transport ships hovered over Crimson and Alice. Before the girls could prepare for another assault. Two of them were hit by four rockets, causing them spin out of control and hitting the remaining transport ship that struggled to calibrate its aim. Only to be destroyed by another pair of rockets that caused it to hit the ground in a small explosion.
Alice pulled out her umbrella and proceeded to shield her and Crimson from the impact. She continued to keep it raised when she saw a large shadow looming from the smoke.
"I see all these factions are fighting each other." Alice said, glaring at the shadow.
"Wait, that's not an enemy." Crimson warned.
For a second later, B came walking out looking proud of himself with a rocket launcher hanging over his shoulder. He gave Crimson a wave and a nod as if expecting praise. Which just earned a head shake from Crimson who ran up to him.
"Okay, I'm glad for the help but where is Naruto? Is he with you?" Crimson asked.
B nodded and proceeded to explain the latest events regarding the battle. All of which only Alice couldn't hear due to all of the artillery fire in the distance. Along with screams of aliens either fighting or dying.
"Crimson, do you mind hurrying-" Alice's words were cut off by a TIE fighter crashing nearby.
Alice looked at the crash and saw a pilot trying to crawl out only to be shot from a distance. She sighed at the endless violence before looking at Crimson who seemed to have finished getting an explanation.
"Alice, come over here. We need to clear the battlefield for the next wave." Crimson said.
"Then there's a plan?" Alice asked.
"B has a few ideas." Crimson answered.
Elsewhere
While Naruto was fighting off Grievous, Dante and the Master Chief were fighting back to back against the wave of Covenant and Imperial soldiers.
"Isn't this a mess. You kill aliens and I kill demons. What kind of pair are we?" Dante asked.
"We're just here to finish the mission." Chief said.
"Mission? I see this as another job with no overtime." Dante said.
Dante then jumped high in the air and started spinning around and shooting more rapidly. Each bullet hitting any nearby stormtrooper or alien from the covenant. When it was over, Dante came back down and landed on a knee.
"These aliens are pushovers." Dante said.
When suddenly, he was stabbed in the chest with an energy sword. Dante winced and looked like he was suddenly kicked by a little kid. He looked up and pointed a gun at the zealot who cursed at him in his own language which he couldn't understand.
"You need a breath mint." Dante said before shooting him in the head.
He then looked at the Master Chief who looked expressionless as usual. Dante then looked at his wound and sighed before turning his back to him and pointing to it.
"Do you mind helping me?" Dante asked.
The Chief silently pulled out the energy and equipped to his side. Letting Dante to catch his breath at the mild discomfort he felt.
"Do you need a medic?" he asked.
"No, what I need is to stop letting some bastard stab me every other day of the week with a sword." Dante answered.
As Dante stretched and walked off an injury that would kill even an enhanced human being like the Master Chief. The Chief himself looked up at the sky which was peppered with blaster fire and other explosions. He then saw a squadron of TIE fighters passing around for a strafing run.
"How good is your throw?" the Chief asked him.
"That depends, what am I throwing?" Dante asked.
The Chief responded by putting his rifle over his back and then positioning himself towards an incoming TIE fighter squadron. Dante didn't think too much about it before positioning himself and waiting for the Chief to run at him. A few seconds later, Dante found the Spartan practically jumped into Dante's hands before being thrown into the air like a football.
"Chief, you didn't think about a scenario where we might miss." Cortana said.
"We won't." Chief answered before slamming onto a TIE fighter.
The pilot started to fall and lose his altitude. As he was startled by the sight of the Master Chief, he started to move wildly before trying to shake off the Spartan. Only to struggle as the Spartan's grip was too strong and soon found his cockpit being invaded.
"Hi, we're here about a rental." Cortana said through the Chief's speakers.
The pilot drew a blaster pistol at the Chief only to have his arm grabbed and be ripped out of the cockpit. The Chief then let go of the pilot and let him fall from the ground. Allowing him to enter the TIE fighter and begin taking control before it could lose more altitude.
"You know, the controls are a lot different from-"
"It's done." Chief said as he got full control of the fighter.
"Well pardon me for the criticism." Cortana said as the Chief opened fire on other TIE fighters.
Back with Naruto
Naruto was still engaging Grievous as their fight moved to the street which was littered with crashed ships on both sides. Grievous continued to press for an aggressive style of combat while Naruto focused on defending and only attacking whenever Grievous left himself open. Which didn't do him too well as Grievous moved quickly and didn't seem to show any exhaustion.
"Your strikes are clumsy, little Jedi." Grievous said before kicking Naruto across the road.
Grievous laughed as he crawled towards Naruto like a gremlin. Naruto responded by using Force Push to send Grievous back a few feet. Long enough to allow him to recover and catch his breath.
"You grow tired. A weakness I do not miss after losing my appendages." Grievous taunted.
Naruto sighed as he readied his weapons. Only to find another Covenant dropship arrive to drop off several zealots who activated their energy swords. This time, Grievous was not in the mood for a fair fight anymore.
"End him." Grievous ordered.
As the zealots charged forward, Naruto parried the first strike with his energy sword and impaled them with his lightsaber. He then ducked under the next strike and sidestepped against a third strike before parrying the blow following it. He then saw an opening and narrowly avoided being stabbed and instead, beheaded one of the zealots.
But then Naruto found himself stumbling again as Grievous attacked him with two of his lightsabers. Forcing Naruto to block the attacks then raise his energy sword to parry another incoming strike. The zealot and Grievous both applied pressure onto Naruto with the droid general deciding to play dirty again.
He used his third arm to try and pierce Naruto. Only for the blond to back away early enough to avoid being impaled. With the zealot being impaled by Grievous instead, allowing Naruto to sever the third arm and slash at his mask.
Grievous cried out in pain before being sent flying with a Force Push. Naruto then Force Pushed the remaining zealots away before backing up.
"Kill the human before he uses his magic again!" one of the zealots commanded.
Before they could act out on their orders. Two zealots were then shot in the head by a beam rifle. The remaining zealots looked for the sniper thinking a jackal betrayed them. Only to spot B at the last minute before being killed off.
Naruto snickered as he waved at his friend, "This is the reason I'm glad you're quiet." he said.
B chuckled before making his way down from his position. While B had his own way of communication, Naruto had his own and sometimes that would affect how they take on certain situations. As B ran up to his friend, they were soon joined by Crimson and Alice.
"Hey, Crimson you're finally… who's the spooky girl?" Naruto asked, noticing Alice.
"Alice Liddel at your service, but also an unwilling participant of this battle." Alice said, sounding mostly cordial.
"From the American McGee games. Remember?" Crimson asked.
"Oh yeah, I never finished them or tried the first one." Naruto said.
Crimson rolled her eyes, "Anyways, now that we're all here. How are things on your end?" she asked.
"Well I fought Grievous again and injured him too, but I doubt he's dead." Naruto explained.
They then heard some nearby explosions and saw a rogue TIE fighter shooting other TIE fighters. Before they questioned it, Dante landed nearby in a superhero pose.
"Your space cyborg friend stole one of those spaceships." Dante told B who looked slightly surprised.
"Well hopefully he can keep it up. With the Rebels, we might be able to take down some of those ships." Naruto said.
That's when B pulled out a quick but detailed hand drawn plan. The plan was a bit risky but at this stage, they didn't exactly have the tools to guarantee a successful mission without incident.
In short, the plan involved making their way up to one of the Star Destroyers and Covenant ships. With any luck, they could scuttle the things similar to how they did it in Battlefront and maybe the same being done with the Covenant ship. It would be less riskier if they go into each ship as a group but could save time and go into individual groups to attack them all at the same time.
"And then what? Hope for a retreat?" Dante asked.
He understood the idea which was breaking into an enemy stronghold and blowing it up from the inside. However, the only thing that bothered the son of Sparda was the complexities and other details that would arrive. Otherwise, he can handle breaking a few things and killing whatever gets in the way.
"Don't forget our ability to get up there. I don't suppose we can somehow borrow an aircraft." Alice said as she looked up at the sky.
But then suddenly, a few Covenant drop ships started making their way down. Only to be obliterated by proton torpedoes and rapid fire. Everyone took cover and were surprised to then see the Millennium Falcon in the sky, shooting down the Covenant before it landed.
"What is that?" Dante asked, looking confused by the sight of the ship.
The ramp of the Falcon opened up revealing a familiar Jedi in black robes.
"Luke!" Naruto called out.
"Naruto, I see we have arrived on time." Luke greeted in a friendly manner. "I also see, you obtained the weapon of a Jedi." he noted.
"Oh yeah, long story. Anyways, if you're here. I wouldn't mind it if you could help me and my friends." Naruto said.
Luke looked at the group and noticed they were an odd band but trusted his instincts. He also decided to trust in whatever Naruto had to say even if it was a bit crazy.
A few minutes later
Han was less than amused as he avoided the incoming cannon fire from the Star Destroyers.
"Kid, I don't like being a delivery service. What kind of scheme are these misfits up to?" Han asked.
"I have to agree with Han. Just dropping them off on their own and hoping they destroy the ships from the inside, is a wild idea." Leia said, agreeing with Han.
Then Chewbacca growled something out but most of the group could not understand him.
"See? You know it's bad when Chewie disagrees." Han said.
"Wait, you understand this walking carpet?" Dante asked as he pointed at Chewbacca.
Chewbacca growled at Dante angrily, prompting him to almost draw his sword. Only for Naruto to put a hand on his shoulder.
"Calm down, Chewbacca is a sentient like everyone else and he understands everyone." Naruto said.
B just nodded in the corner while looking out at the window of the cockpit. Where they approached the Star Destroyer without being blown up in the sky.
"You better hope your friends know what they're doing. We can't bail them out after they finish anyways." Han said.
"That is why I'm coming with them." Luke said.
"Wait, what?" Naruto asked.
"I will join you on your mission. You said it's just you and Mr. Sparda, right?" Luke asked.
"That's the plan, but we can handle our own." Naruto said, thinking Luke could do just as good elsewhere.
"Then our mission success will only increase with the three of us." Luke said before heading towards the ramp.
Leia cursed as she saw her brother leaving the Falcon with two strangers for an insane plan. Han feels the same while internally hoping Luke doesn't get hurt because of his optimism.
Meanwhile, Chewbacca just let out a small growl as he patted Luke's shoulder.
"Don't worry Chewie, just remember to keep an eye on Han." Luke said, making Chewbacca nod.
The moment they opened the ramp, they were barraged by blaster fire. Prompting Luke and Naruto to ignite their lightsabers and reflect each shot. Soon enough, Dante ran after them and jumped into the air to get a good look at the surrounding area.
'Just a bunch of grunts wearing plastic armor.' Dante thought with a scoff.
Dante landed behind a large squad of stormtroopers and started cutting them down as if they were made of cheese. Having no trouble with any of them except for an idiotic imperial officer who pointed his gun at the back of his head.
"Surrender now!" he said.
'Is this guy serious?' Dante wondered.
The officer attempted to press the issue but found himself missing his arm in a split second along with his head a second later.
At the same time, Naruto cleared up a small squad that blocked the main doorway with a strong Force Push. He then entered and raised his lightsaber to block an incoming wave of blaster fire. He managed to find some room to run around and be able to maneuver around in order to get closer and wipe out the stormtroopers in the first room.
"Okay, this place looks more complicated from the classic version." Naruto said.
In the 2005 version of Battlefront 2, Naruto remembered that he can just waltz in and blow things up. However, in Battlefront 2, required players to capture certain points before reaching the core and destroying it. For some reason, they didn't add the capital ship assault for the Rebel and Empire factions.
"I guess I'll just have to fight my way through this place." Naruto said before being joined by Luke and Dante.
Meanwhile, back on the Falcon
Han shook his head as he saw how much more well defended the Covenant ships were. From having greater shields and hulls that are a lot thicker.
"I feel like I'm a peashooter fighting a giant cinder block." Han said as he could not pierce through the shields.
Leia looked towards B and everyone else, "You all better have some idea because we're going to have to turn this pile of junk around." she said.
B raised his finger and tried to suggest something. Only to be interrupted by the ship taking a massive hit. Which caused Han to lose altitude for a few seconds.
"Damn it! We're going to have to retreat at this rate!" Han cursed.
Chewbacca growled and started heading towards one of the guns with B following right behind them. Just as they prepared to fight back, they saw a squadron of Banshees rapidly firing at them. Before they could fight back, a rogue TIE fighter opened fire on the Banshees and destroyed them in quick succession before moving next to the Falcon.
"This is UNSC AI Cortana and Spartan-117. We are on your side." Cortana said, patching in through Han's communications.
"An AI and what?" Han asked, clearly confused.
Leia decided to respond, "Cortana, this is Princess Leia Organa of the Rebel Alliance. Thanks for the save, but now we need help to retreat." she said.
"Retreat? Ma'am, we can still make it to the carrier." Cortana replied.
"Cortana, that ship is too big and impenetrable for us." Leia responded.
"The first part is undeniable, but I can't say much for the second part." Cortana said.
Leia was about to question what Cortana was talking about when she saw another Rebel cruiser arriving with several UNSC ships supporting it. Just as they approached the battlefield, several of the UNSC cruisers charged up their MAC guns and fired onto the Covenant carrier. Resulting in the ship taking enough hits for the shields to go down and a small chunk of the hull to take a hit.
"Princess, please follow my ship. The Master Chief and I will escort your party to carrier with as little damage as possible." Cortana said.
"Acknowledged." Leia said.
"Well that was kind of them." Alice spoke up.
Leia nodded as Han boosted the Falcon's speed a bit. However, he did feel a bit uncomfortable as he saw Alice from the corner of his eye.
"What is this girl anyways, some kind of talking doll?" Han asked.
"Han!" Leia scolded.
"What? I'm sorry, but I've seen my fair share of strange faces but this takes the kicker." Han said.
"You're quite rude and yet you're allowed in the presence of royalty." Alice commented.
"Yeah, a royal pain sometimes." Han grumbled.
"You are no Prince Charming either." Leia replied.
"But you still love me." Han said with a smirk, making Leia look away.
Alice looked confused by the strange conversation as she never took the pair for a couple. Especially with how they spoke to each other in a semi aggressive way. When she turned to look at Crimson, she just shrugged.
"Some couples fight, some connect and some become one. Don't question it." Crimson said.
Alice sighed and nodded as she waited for the ship to land.
Then Crimson remembered something.
"Crap, I left Ennui behind. I hope he isn't in the crossfire." Crimson said, sounding a tid bit concerned with her monotone voice.
Chewbacca growled something out that sounded somewhat supportive.
"What?" Crimson asked.
"He said, "your friend is probably fine"." said a new voice.
"Who said that?" Leia asked.
"B did." Crimson answered.
"...the quiet boy?" Leia asked, earning a nod from Crimson.
Back on the Star Destroyer
With another slash, Naruto cut down another stormtrooper and looked around the control room they were in.
"As fun as this all was, we really can't waste any time anymore." he said.
"That's right, but the layout of a Star Destroyer isn't easy to navigate." Luke said as he tried breaking into a terminal.
As Naruto and Luke tried to find a way to the core of the Star Destroyer. Dante was leaning against another console when he noticed an officer trying to crawl away. Prompting the son of Sparda to march up to him and drag him to his feet before slamming him against the wall.
"I'm guessing you're in charge." Dante said.
"Far from it, you scu- AHH!" the officer cried out as Dante twisted his arm.
"Okay, but seeing as how my friends and I took out your crew. I'm guessing you're probably the next one in charge." Dante said, trying to pressure the officer.
"Perhaps I may have the most authority in this room, but I will not bend to- ah! Ah! Ah!"
"You're starting to annoy me. Tell us how to blow this flying piece of junk out of the sky." Dante commanded.
"I will not… bend to… ARGH!" the officer cried out.
Luke then placed a hand on Dante's shoulder, "Let me handle this." he said.
Dante rudely threw the officer against a console. Leaving Luke to approach the injured man and try a less intimidating approach.
Despite the little chance that this man knows the layout of the ship perfectly or having any significant authority. Luke decided to try and see if the Imperial Officer still had any knowledge worth sharing. Such as knowing where to access certain areas or where more sensitive parts of the cruiser were.
"You will tell me where the core of the ship is." Luke said, using a Jedi mind trick.
"Is that any better than what I did?" Dante asked as he crossed his arms.
"I will tell you where the core of the ship is." the officer replied.
Naruto chuckled while Dante looked slightly annoyed. They both watched as the officer entered his credentials into a terminal and downloaded a layout leading to the core room. The trio then followed the path given to them, leaving the officer alone for a few seconds before realizing what he had done.
"What!? Did I just hand out information to them freely!?" the officer asked.
In the core room
After a few more minutes of traveling, the trio arrived and saw a small control room filled with imperial officers and stormtroopers. Once dispatched, Luke managed to unlock the doors and led to a giant room where a large reactor was sitting in the middle and surrounded by two other machines that powered it.
Naruto looked at his lightsaber then at the several blasters that were on the floor. He picked one up and wondered how many shots it would take to make it explode.
"I suppose we could try to overload it. Before we can attack the reactor that powers the ship, we may need to destroy those generators." Luke explained.
Before Naruto responded, Dante gently brushed him aside and went out the doors.
"I think I'll take it from here." he said with a light smirk.
Dante suddenly used his Devil Trigger and transformed. He then began to fly and started blasting lightning at the generators, destroying them and exposing the central reactor. With his remaining energy, he began blasting the reactor.
When a squadron of stormtroopers armed with riot control batons came in.
"It's the rebels!" one of them yelled.
Naruto and Luke ignited their lightsabers and started fighting.
The batons were able to block lightsaber cuts but that didn't make their wielders invincible. Luke quickly cut down most of the stormtroopers quite easily. The remaining few were tossed around like ragdolls due to Naruto's use of the Force.
"I'm never going to get tired of that." Naruto said as he sent a stormtrooper flying through the window.
Luke watched as the stormtrooper fell into the seemingly endless pit within the reactor room.
"I hope you're not enjoying it to where it leads you to a dark path." he said.
"Things happen." Naruto quickly replied.
Before Luke could utter a response, the reactor exploded and Dante flew through the broken window. Where he reverted back to his human form and started running.
"Time to run!" Dante said.
Naruto looked back and saw the reactor room was sparking and exploding. He followed Dante's advice and ran as far as his legs could let him. However, he cursed at the sudden realization that he was still wearing his suit and that it started looking badly worn out.
"So much for style." he said as the Star Destroyer began to shake.
"Just to clarify, you two know how to fly out of this place right?" Dante asked, seeing the both of them nod.
Back with B and Crimson
The Falcon and Master Chief arrived on the Covenant carrier where they were greeted by heavy plasma fire. Before getting out of the TIE fighter, the Chief began to open fire and started launching proton torpedoes all over the hangar just as the Millennium Falcon landed safely. Allowing for Han to open the ramp to allow Crimson, B and Alice to exit the place safely.
"Good luck out there. I hope your friend is making it out alive too." Han told them as the group exited.
Before Han could begin to take off again. They were suddenly hit by a rock that shut down the Falcon's controls. Causing Han to hit the console out of frustration before deciding to diagnose the situation.
"What's wrong? Why won't the ship start?" Leia asked.
Chewbacca let out a concerned growl from the background, causing Han to sigh.
"Those aliens must have hit us with something to disable the Falcon. Chewie says everything has been turned off." Han explained as he pulled out a fusion cutter.
Meanwhile, the rest of the group regrouped with the Master Chief who had cleared out the remaining Covenant forces.
When they were interrupted by a stray rocket that nearly took them out. As everyone slowly recovered from the sudden attack, they saw a man flying in the air with a jetpack.
"Boba Fett?" Crimson asked and Crimson nodded.
"I'm guessing he's not part of the welcome wagon, is he?" Cortana asked.
The Chief immediately stood up and started shooting at Boba who started straying away from his shots. With the shots that did land, the bounty hunter merely shrugged them off. Forcing the Chief to drop his weapons and pick up a nearby carbine rifle that did land slightly more damage.
"Why is he shrugging most of these things off?" Cortana asked.
As the Chief and Boba took shots at each other. Neither noticed B taking a few shots at the bounty hunter. With Boba slipping up and letting his jetpack get shot a couple of times before losing control. However, the bounty hunter was bred or trained for nothing and quickly removed the jetpack before landing on the ground.
Before the Chief could engage him, B ran to his side and made him take cover. As more Covenant forces came out and opened fire on them. Leaving it up to Crimson and Alice to deal with them while the crew on the Millennium Falcon tried to work on a way to get their ship started again.
As for Boba, he cracked his neck before opening fire on Chief and B's position. Before the fight continued, B gave the Spartan some advice as it looked like some in universe lore was going on. Which basically told him to be careful in regards to Boba's armor and weaponry as he was impervious to blaster fire and bullets unless they found a sweet spot.
The Chief nodded and thanked B before picking up a nearby plasma rifle and jumping out of cover. Where he avoided more blaster fire and met Boba up close and personal with a kick to the chest. Then finding himself avoiding a giant trail of fire that would have broken his shields.
B then opened fire on Boba while his back was turned. Forcing the bounty hunter to fire a wrist rocket at Chief before firing back at B.
"Chief watch out!" Cortana warned a split second before the Chief crashed into a wall.
Boba shook his head at the Chief before focusing fire on B.
"You're so unlucky that my client will only accept eliminations." Boba said as he approached B.
Just as Boba came close, he extended his wrist and used his flamethrower again. Forcing B to roll out of the way as the wave of flames singed his close. Forcing B to throw off his suit jacket and try to run away.
Only to trip and hit the ground pretty hard. B groaned in pain before feeling Boba stomp on his back.
"A big target like you makes things way too easy." Boba said before B glared at him and threw something at his chest.
Boba reached for the object only to find out it was stuck. He looked at his chest and saw a plasma grenade attached to his armor and ready to explode. He tried to pry it off before finding himself punched by the Master Chief who hit him with enough force to send him a few feet away. Forcing him to explode all by himself.
"Stand up soldier. We're finishing this fight." Chief said as he extended his hand to B.
B smiled and took his hand and stood up. Once ready, the two ran towards the nearest doorway where Crimson and Alice were butchering the remaining Covenant.
"You got this B, if any more show up. We'll turn them into pincushions." Crimson said.
B nodded and continued to run inside. All the while, unaware that Boba survived the explosion and was slowly recovering and promising revenge.
Elsewhere
Suguo Noboyuki was currently in his office going over emails when he saw an alert regarding some technical issues. He wasn't a genius when it came to tech stuff but just knew enough to understand his company's products and the problems to watch out for when in a meeting. So when he got an urgent email that passed all the filters meant to avoid phishing and other potential viruses.
Suguo was immediately met by his computer freezing and turning on and off. Leaving the man feeling annoyed by the issues.
"Unless this is a company wide issue. This is going to be painful and embarrassing to talk about when I see those people in the support department." Suguo said before his computer reverted to normal.
For a moment, Suguo thought everything was fine again but then his computer began to heat up. Then it started acting like he was downloading some large file and it disturbed him again. Before considering the idea of speaking with tech support again, he was blinded by a flashing light.
"So you must be the leader of this business." said a strange voice.
"W-What are you?" Suguo asked, looking startled.
"A god who is in the middle of his crusade." Polygon Man said as he revealed himself
Given the current conditions with the connection between the two worlds. Polygon Man wasn't a giant that towered over the businessman. Instead, he just looked like a giant floating crystal head that could talk. Which didn't exactly help Suguo who felt like he was going insane.
"I'm calling security!" Suguo exclaimed as he reached for the phone.
Which Polygon Man destroyed by shooting it with a laser from his eyes. Suguo then fell out of his chair as Polygon Man floated above him.
"I think you may want to reconsider making me your enemy. Where you should instead see me as your new investor." Polygon Man said, trying to get the man to cooperate.
"Investor!? What are you planning!?" Suguo asked.
Polygon Man rolled his eyes, "My plans are too complicated for your fragile little mind to take in all at once. For now, I offer you a way to improve your technology and make lots of money." he explained.
Suguo still looked too afraid to make a proper response.
"Isn't that what you want? More money? Given how your world works. Earning more money would mean more power and respect from your peers." Polygon Man said.
It was true, Suguo may seem like a reasonable and honest man in his field. Just about everyone looked that way but like everyone else. However, everyone had that ounce of selfishness where some would try to outdo others or try methods to get them more control or at least more money. Essentially reminding everyone about how aggressive the business world is and Suguo would be willing to try underhanded things for some respect and a bigger check.
"I suppose so, but that doesn't fully explain what you are." Suguo replied.
"Noboyuki, in your line of business. Friendship can only get you so far. So why be curious about details and morality when you can gain so much?" Polygon Man asked, preying on the man's greed.
Suguo slowly stood up and composed himself to at least try and understand his situation. Maybe also look less pathetic in front of the floating magic head in front of him.
"I'm not one for being soft and charitable, but what do you have to offer?" Suguo asked.
Polygon Man briefly flashed a hologram of various technology and the components inside. Most of which were filled with a virus similar to a trojan horse to help create a stronger connection between worlds. He wouldn't tell Suguo that without risking the man suddenly having a sense of morality at the last second.
"And what is that? Some sort of computer chip? A new piece of hardware?" Suguo asked.
"Hardware, software, maybe a few extra toys. All of it can be yours and all the credit can be yours if you are willing to cooperate and consider my proposal." Polygon Man answered.
A part of Sugou told him to run and a few other things as part of his self preservation. Mainly because he still couldn't wrap his mind around the floating head in front of him. However, his business side was telling him to ignore the quirks of Polygon Man. Similar to how he handles clients and business partners who have odd personalities or characters. Both sides debating heavily but not for too long.
The business side of him had won.
Back with Naruto
As the Star Destroyer began to implode, Naruto hopped onto a TIE interceptor and took off. With Luke and Dante taking a shuttle and flying close behind him.
After making some distance from the Star Destroyer. They watched as reinforcements arrived in the form of the UNSC.
"Are these some friends of yours too?" Dante asked over the comms.
"Sort of, I think they're here for B." Naruto answered.
A minute later, the Star Destroyer exploded behind them with the debris hitting the ground and leaving a loud thud. Naruto could only imagine the fortune it would cost to fix the part of the city that was destroyed during this attack. At the same time, he wondered if he had to repeat the process with other Star Destroyers.
However, he didn't have to worry about it as he saw several UNSC frigates firing their MAC guns at the remaining Star Destroyers who lost their shields. Both ships were crippled and began to plummet as they fell apart in the sky.
"We don't have to worry about the Empire anymore. The real pain is the Covenant." Naruto said.
"They can't be any more difficult, can they?" Dante asked.
"Their weapons are pretty tough and I'm not sure the rebel ships are good enough to handle multiple cruisers." Naruto said.
"I'm assuming those would be the smaller ships then." Luke said.
"Yeah that's them. We should try to take them out unless B and Crimson need help." Naruto said.
Just as they started flying towards one of the cruisers. Naruto was suddenly hit and started losing control. Using his scanner, he saw he was being hit by a familiar ship.
"Ah come on! Grievous is back again!?" Naruto asked.
Naruto struggled to dodge the incoming fire. With Grievous aggressively flying closer with each blast he took. Forcing Naruto to try and speed up with the Interceptor's faster engine.
"That's right, follow me you angry cyborg." Naruto said as Grievous started to chase him.
"Naruto, we won't be able to keep up with you. Will you be able to handle him?" Luke asked.
"Yeah, I got this. Just try to-"
"Hang on. I'm getting a transmission." Luke interrupted.
While Luke received his transmission, Naruto started swerving around the battlefield trying to avoid Grievous. However, it was difficult as they were in the sky rather than outer space where all the space junk would have obscured Grievous' view. So all Naruto had to work with was using random starfighters and ships to use as cover.
"This better be the end!" Naruto said as he flew straight into the air.
Grievous continued to follow Naruto and started firing again, thinking Naruto was giving him a clear shot. Only to watch as Naruto briefly turned off his engines and began to plummet. The boy then waited a few seconds before turning them back on and accelerating again.
This caused Grievous to lose his aim on Naruto and make him swerve out of control as he nearly hit the ground. During this, Naruto got a lock on Grievous and began to open fire on him, destroying one of his engines in the process. Grievous continued to swerve out of control and struggled to dodge the blasts before crashing into a nearby water tower.
"Oh no, I'm not accepting that!" Naruto said as he turned around.
Naruto then opened fire at the spot where Grievous crashed. Firing every blast he could until his systems overheated.
"That better be the last time I see him." Naruto said before returning to the battle.
"Naruto, it's Luke. Change of plan, we have to fly to the supercarrier." Luke said.
"And make it fast, the guns on this thing suck and I can barely hit anything." Dante said.
"Affirmative, I'll join you soon." Naruto said as he turned on the accelerator again.
On the supercarrier
After what felt like a very grueling journey. B and the Master Chief entered the bridge and fought off the entire crew aboard the bridge which was mostly grunts, elites and a couple of jackals.
Rinse, wash, and repeat. A perfect way to summarize this entire battle in B's opinion.
"Chief, get me on that console." Cortana ordered.
As the Master Chief installed the AI into the carrier's main console. B was double checking the bodies before deciding to take a peek at the console. Likely to try and see if he could come close to understand some part of the alien gibberish on screen.
Only to accidentally open some audio file that was filled with a lot of angry screaming. B covered his ears by how loud it was and felt like he was listening to either a diss track or the equivalent to Hitler's speech.
'Those are some nasty tunes, either way.' B thought as he tried to turn the audio down.
"B, what did you just find? It sounds like the Covenant are praising their orders from some god." Cortana said.
Naturally, B responded with silence and gave her a shrug. He didn't need to explain that he was confused and lacked a real answer.
"Does it matter? The Covenant are a theocracy." Chief said, knowing the Covenant spouted on about gods, prophets and heretics.
"No, every time it's a typical motivator but now it sounds like they were literally commanded by a god. Like they received orders, not just promises of going to heaven or whatever they believe in." Cortana explained.
B started scratching his chin and looked at the console again. He cautiously tried to avoid opening another audio file while Cortana broke through all the firewalls and security systems.
"Well I guess their god's decree can wait. I have full control." Cortana said.
"That sounds too easy." Chief said.
"Then again, this is the first time I hacked into a super carrier." Cortana replied.
Suddenly, the entire ship began to change direction with the Chief and B struggling to hang on.
"Hold on! I'm adjusting this giant behemoth's position!" Cortana said.
Suddenly, the whole ship began to shake.
By this point, B figured out a few controls and pulled up a battle map on the main screen. Where it showed an overview of the entire battle. With the supercarrier opening fire on the cruisers below them. Most of them were destroyed before they realized that they were under attack.
B then looked at a set of other maps showing an outline of other parts of the battle. From the Star Destroyers being destroyed to ground forces being dried out by the combined forces of the UNSC and Rebel Alliance.
'It's working, but why do I feel like something is missing?' B wondered.
He didn't have time to wonder as the ship was hit. The super carrier was then being attacked by several cruisers that were aiming for the engines and critical systems.
'We should go now!' B thought before he had a new idea.
B quickly whispered something into the Chief's ear and the Spartan nodded. He then repeated the same thing to Cortana who looked unsure before doing some calculations.
"Okay, there's no guarantee that this will be completely successful but here it goes." Cortana said,
A few seconds later, Cortana fabricated a sangheili's voice to command that the ship's crew fight back against the cruisers and their allies. With the AI voice stating that they are all heretics and the "god" has decreed it. So it was every crew member's duty to follow the wisdom of their deity and fight back.
"I hope the Covenant are that stupid to believe it." Cortana said.
"If not, you overload the reactors." Chief said as Cortana gave him a smirk
As the Chief took Cortana back, he and B looked at the overview map. Which showed secondary weapons fighting back against all forces. With other air units and ground units attacking the remaining imperial and Blarg forces.
B gave the Chief a thumbs back and smiled when he was given one in return.
"We better leave." Chief said.
B nodded and picked up a fallen energy sword on the way.
At the hangar, a few minutes later
By the time B came back, he saw Naruto had arrived on the stolen TIE Interceptor. With him shooting at the doorways and stopping once he saw B and the Chief come out.
"B! Time to go!" Crimson shouted.
B nodded and was on his way back when he and the Chief were sent flying by a rocket explosion. They looked up and saw Boba Fett was back and aiming his gun at them.
The Master Chief grabbed an energy pistol and got two shots in before Boba kicked him in the helmet and repeatedly stomped him on the helmet.
"You're a real piece of work." Boba said as he aimed at the Chief first.
Only for B to activate his energy sword and slash at Boba's leg, making him stumble back. Which then gave the Chief a chance to recover by kicking him a few feet away. The Chief then fired a few shots at Boba before picking up B and taking him across the hangar.
As Boba recovered, he chased after the two only to be sent flying away by Naruto's lasers.
Giving B a chance to escape into the Falcon along with Crimson, Alice and the Chief. As well as Dante and Luke who decided to abandon the Imperial shuttle.
"Now would be a perfect time to leave." Naruto said over the comms.
"The Falcon is ready. Han and Chewbacca finally got the engines and other systems working." Leia said.
"This place is already looking cramped." Dante said.
"Acknowledged. Time for us to go." Naruto said.
As the two ships flew away, Naruto heard something else over the comms.
"Kaboom." B said
"B, for once in my life. I have no idea what you-"
Naruto was cut off by the sound of the Covenant supercarrier exploding within various areas of the ship. Causing it to lose altitude as it broke apart like a cookie.
"Oh. Now I get what you mean." Naruto said.
A few minutes later
Naruto landed alongside the Millennium Falcon and exited the aircraft. Once out, he met up with B and Crimson who came out of Han Solo's ship.
"Is that the end?" Crimson asked.
They all looked up and saw the enemy fleets were broken. Just a few stragglers who were probably fighting until they met death.
"Probably." Naruto answered.
But then Naruto had to be proven wrong as they heard a loud crash. When the blond boy turned around, he saw a badly damaged Grievous coming out of some rubble with a lightsaber ignited.
"Jedi!" he snarled.
"I'm starting to think he's immortal." Naruto said as he drew his lightsaber.
Only for Dante to come out, "I'll handle this." he said.
Naruto stepped back as he watched as Dante ran up to Grievous with great speed. Dante avoided Grievous' strikes with easy and parried a couple of blows before blocking a big swing from Grievous.
Before the droid general could even picture a victory. Dante used momentum to cause Grievous to stumble, leaving him exposed for Dante to attack. With one last attack, Grievous missed Dante's head and found himself missing one more arm. Along with a leg before being kicked in the chest with enough force to fly into the air.
Dante then drew his pistols and started firing just as Grievous came down. Like with the motorcycle Trish used on him, Dante's bullets made Grievous fly back up into the sky before his head started to catch fire. Just like in the film, Grievous died from an explosion caused by his chest being hit and likely having some robotic parts being ignited.
"Hrrr…" Grievous moaned before his head was severed.
The mask of the now fully deceased general fell off and rolled to Naruto's feet.
"You should keep that as a souvenir." Dante said as he holstered his pistols.
Naruto nodded and eagerly took Grievous' mask and thought about where he wanted to hang it. Before anything else was said, the group took battle positions again as they heard the loud sounds of gunfire. Only to find several dozen stormtroopers lying dead outside of the dance hall.
"What was that?" Crimson asked.
Her answer came in the form of Seras coming outside wearing army boots and carrying a Thompson rifle with a drum magazine and handle over her shoulder.
"Well then, I could not let all of you have all the fun. Could I?" Seras asked.
"You really are a gamer." Crimson said.
Seras chuckled, "I am, but I'll get to that later. I've been meaning to talk about it." she said. "Now then, who are your friends here?" she asked as she noticed all the game characters.
Before anyone answered, a large portal opened up in the sky and Naruto's phone rang again.
"Hello?" Naruto asked as he put the phone on speaker.
"This is DiZ again. I was watching over the battle and I congratulate you on your victory." DiZ said.
"Hey, that's the guy who made me come here." Dante said.
"I received a message from him as well." Alice said.
Seras looked the most suspicious, "DiZ is it? Who are you? Why do you help my students?" she asked.
"You must be the caretaker of the boy and his friends. All details will be due but for now. To restore the damage done, I will request everyone return to their own universes." DiZ said.
"What?" Seras asked.
"Mr. Sparda and Miss Liddel, I will be sending coordinates to the spaceship piloted by Captain Solo. He will know where to drop you both off." DiZ said.
"Hang on now-" Seras tried to say.
"You will hear from me again soon. Until next time." DiZ said as he hung up.
"Well that was rude." Seras said.
As they spoke, the Rebel Alliance and UNSC fleet flew through the portal and back to the game universe. Leaving the trio to part ways with the friends they made along the way.
The Master Chief nodded at B who saluted him. Alice curtsied towards Crimson who nodded as well. Which left Dante who patted Naruto's shoulder.
"I'll see you later, kid. We still have a lot of work to do on the island." Dante said.
"Sure thing, boss." Naruto said.
The three game characters then entered the Millennium Falcon and watched it take off as it flew directly into the portal.
"Is no one freaked out by this strange dimensional travel?" Cortana asked.
"I am." Han said and Chewbacca let out a growl of agreement.
"Don't think about it much." Dante said.
As for Alice, she just remained quiet as insanity is the main theme of her character arc and story.
As the ship left, Seras and her students were blinded by a massive flash of light that engulfed the city. Seras quickly shielded her students and she suddenly felt numb and unable to see and hear anything. The same being said by the trio.
At the dance, one minute after the incident
Naruto and B gasped as they found themselves in the same spot as when the electricity and earthquakes occurred. Only to find that the lights were back, the shaking was over and their phones were behaving appropriately again.
"Did we just dream that?" Naruto asked.
B shrugged and looked around feeling anxious. He then spotted Seras who looked disoriented and confused. She seemed to be missing her gun and was wearing her heels rather than her boots.
"Did time rewind? Is that what happened?" Naruto asked.
B just sighed and went to grab some more food for himself.
While B ate, Naruto tried to look up the IP address shaped phone number that DiZ called him with. Only to find it missing from his recent call list.
"Today is so weird." Naruto muttered before feeling a hand on his shoulder.
"Are you okay?" C.C. asked.
Naruto sighed, "Sort of." he said.
C.C. gave him a blank stare to hide her curious look. Before she even considered hearing anything, Milly Ashford gave another announcement.
"Ladies and gentlemen, remember to vote now. The polls are open for 20 more minutes and we will have our winners 15 minutes after that." she said.
C.C. then looked at Naruto again, "Do you think your plan will still work?" she asked.
"Plan? Oh right! Uh, maybe. It was just a funny joke at this point." Naruto answered.
45 minutes later
While Milly and the council were double checking the count again before confirming a winner. Whereas B was just trying to keep himself from laughing before he looked over at Naruto.
Who was currently dancing with C.C. with the latter feeling surprised, but once again hiding it. The green haired girl wondered if she should either get to Naruto or just accept whatever surprise abilities he has. If C.C. knew him well enough, she would have realized that dancing is one of the many skills that Kushina forced onto Naruto.
"You are good." C.C. said before being twirled.
"You think?" Naruto asked.
"You are capable of leading me without feeling so stiff." she answered.
"I'll take that as a compliment. You can thank my crazy mom for that." Naruto replied.
"I will if I ever meet her." C.C. said.
Despite doing nothing flashy or overly energetic. Naruto and C.C. had to be the best dancers due to the synchrony they provided. At least it looked that way as all the other pairs either moved like snails or moved very stiffly.
Just as Milly came up with the final votes, she saw everyone but Naruto and C.C. looked like zombies with how they danced.
'Well, if there was an award for style or being a good dancer. The choice wouldn't be that hard.' she thought.
Milly then tapped on the microphone to get everyone's attention. Prompting Naruto to stop and dip C.C., which earned some surprised looks as they paused. Naruto then helped C.C. stand up straight as Milly made her announcement.
"Okay everyone, I know you have all been waiting for this so the results are in. The winner of Homecoming King is… Keith Valentine!" Milly announced.
"That's Ennui, I can't believe he won." Naruto whispered.
"And for the Homecoming Queen, the winner is… Cerise Abreo." Milly added.
"Now I know why Crimson hates her name." Naruto muttered.
"Can we give our winners a round of applause?" Milly asked.
Everyone cheered and clapped as they only knew Ennui and Crimson as two people that were so good looking that they could be confused for models. At the same time, Naruto realized he hasn't seen Crimson since the damage during the invasion was undone.
However, he stopped worrying as he saw B coming out with a smoke machine. Before anyone questioned the silent boy's actions. Two figures came out obscured by the smoke.
"Oh, are those our winners? Pretty nice entry, I guess." Milly said, feeling awkward.
Then everyone got scared by the terrifying appearance that Ennui and Crimson donned. Ennui looked like he was wearing a black leather suit that wrapped down to his legs along with a pair of goggles with hair restyled. Crimson wore a red dress with black gloves and had her hair styled with threads that made the whole thing look like spider webs. It was hard to describe every detail as their appearances left 99% of the crowd stunned as they made their way to the stage.
Where Milly was frozen in place and looked like her brain had shut down as Crimson and Ennui were stunned.
"Society cursed us by looking like beautiful people with amazing skin, perky noses and bright eyes but that's not what we want to be." Ennui said.
"We are Crimson and Ennui, not Cerise and Keith, this is what we look like underneath our flesh." Crimson added.
Milly still looked at them in fear and silence.
"Miss President, give them their crowns. They won fair and square." Naruto spoke up.
Most of the students passed out by now and Milly was still frozen in place. Seeing as how she wouldn't move and how the rest of the council were hiding in fear.
Naruto laughed as he ran up to the stage and grabbed the crowns before spray painting them black. He then gently carried Milly to the side and bowed his head.
"I dub thee both, monarchs of midnight, regents of shadows, nobles of what lies below and king and queen of this dance." Naruto said as he put their crowns on their heads.
"Those are cool titles." Ennui said as Crimson nodded in agreement.
Naruto then bowed and extended his arms in a certain direction as a joke. With Ennui and Crimson deciding to give dancing a shot once they walked off stage. Despite how dumb they thought the concept was, the goth couple decided to dance the night away.
Or at least for the next 15 minutes before everyone would start calling it a night.
Either way, it was an unforgettable experience and it would stay that way as B was recording the whole event.
"Did you hack the system?" C.C. asked the silent boy.
B shook his head as he did no such thing. Even if Ennui and Crimson lost, it would have made things less interesting.
'This is ten times better than any prom chick flick or comedy any day.' B thought as he continued to record.
Like in an ordinary movie, this would end with the protagonist and his girlfriend sharing a kiss. Instead, everyone was either passed out or stunned as two goths damaged a long held social tradition.
"Well Milly, I hope you're not mad. We broke tradition and still made today unforgettable." Naruto told the stunned president.
Who continued to stare blankly until she collapsed into Naruto's chest.
"Woah girl! I'm flattered you want to dance but I came with someone else." Naruto said.
Milly went limp as she passed out, leaving Naruto to sigh as he gently picked her up and carried her to a seat.
Finally, there was Seras who just took a few selfies of the dance despite also being scared of Crimson and Ennui's new appearance.
"This was a lovely dance. I can't wait for the prom and other events." Seras said as she took pictures.
"Well I'm skipping out on chaperoning the next dances. I didn't come for a freak show." Coach Hatchet said as he stormed out.
The sudden appearance of the Homecoming Queen and King must have really traumatized him or something but Seras paid him no mind. After today, it will be back to the grind. That is until she gives her report to Integra who will likely try to change up the plan.

Note: The outfits that Ennui and Crimson are wearing are the same ones they wore at the end of the Finland episode of the Ridonculus Race. I know, I suck at details but those messy outfits were hard to describe and too hilarious to not add.

As Polygon Man prepared his army to attack. He suddenly had a change of heart. Not in the sense that he felt like he couldn't go through with the attack in the human world. Rather, he felt less confident in his attack despite admitting that these were all fodder that were planned to fail.
"No, this is not the right way." he said.
"My lord?" Uka Uka asked.
"Scrap this invasion, I have a better idea." Polygon Man said.
"Uh…"
"Have Cortex prepare the "other" plan." Polygon Man ordered much to Uka Uka's confusion.
A while later
As originally planned, the video game universe had attacked. When B and Naruto prepared for the worst, they only found the city in pitch black darkness. Naruto then turned on his phone's flashlight but didn't see much other than the fact that the city was dark.
"Hey B, do you think you can handcraft some giant flashlight or something?" Naruto asked.
B looked at the darkness and could swear that the Primordial Goddess Nyx came by and vomited all over the place. Leaving him to sigh and head back inside to find the right tools to do so.
"Thanks, hurry back." Naruto said as he looked around.
Naruto was not initially scared of the darkness and if anything terrified him. It would be that he takes the wrong step and breaks his neck falling down somewhere. As he looked around thinking about what DiZ told him on the phone.
"Let me guess, are the Dead by Daylight killers here? Slenderman? The Amnesia monsters? Some indie game villain who likes the darkness? Come on, give me a hint here!" Naruto called out.
Then Naruto felt his foot hit something and nearly tripped, startling him. He flashed his light on the ground and saw a familiar looking blaster pistol from Battlefront.
"I thought I was done with that game." he said as he picked it up.
The good thing about finding the blaster is the fact that it had a flashlight attachment. However, that confused Naruto before remembering that the weapon did have such an attachment. Not because every other shooter did it but because it was from a specific mode.
"Wait, I'm having a flashback." Naruto said before suddenly hearing a war horn.
Naruto suddenly aimed his blaster and looked around before watching a bear-like creature running at him with a spear. Within three seconds, Naruto blasted the bear to death before examining the corpse better.
"Is that an ewok?" he asked.
Naruto then heard some familiar animal cries and scanned the area. All Naruto could see with the flashlight was a bunch of trees. He didn't even know the academy had so many trees but he could hear so many war cries up there.
"They are in the trees." Naruto muttered.
He then rolled away as several spears nearly impaled him.

"They are in the damn trees!" he shouted before wildly firing into the trees like a mad man.
Meanwhile, back at the school. Seras, B and Crimson were watching out the window as they heard Naruto screaming and saw all of the blaster fire.
"Should we get him?" Seras asked.
"Leave him." Crimson said.
"But-"
B put his hand on the teacher's shoulder and shook his head. Leaving Seras to sigh and hope Naruto doesn't return acting like he was in the Vietnam War.
"What do you think he's fighting?" Seras asked.
B immediately knew what Naruto was fighting and began to laugh. Leaving Seras and Crimson wondering as the latter never played Ewok Hunt.
"Die you Build-a-Bear reject bastards!" Naruto screamed in the background.
