Water-7 (half an hour earlier)
Opening his eyes, someone noticed that he was no longer in the alley where he had collapsed.
" Toxtri ... ? "
Finally, regaining his senses, Toxtricity straightened up and looked around. Quickly, he noticed that he was in an unknown place, and more precisely in the middle of a room. Not recognizing this place, the pokemon hastened to leave the bed where he was.
Unfortunately, trying to grab the blanket with his hands, he widened his eyes, noticing that his left hand was no longer there. Having a bandage covering his entire forearm, the pokemon discovered that it had been amputated during his sleep.
Trying to understand the reason for this, Toxtricity remembered that he had seen Sanji, before losing consciousness. Understanding that the blond was the reason for the loss of his hand, the Pokémon began to growl in rage.
Yet, as he managed to get back on his feet, he found that he was in better shape than when the cook had cornered him in the alley. True, he did have his hand. However, the rest of his injuries had been treated.
" Toxtri ... ? "
Then, smelling delicious food, he saw a plate sitting on a bedside table, near his light. Immediately, the Pokémon began to salivate as his stomach rumbled. Too hungry to resist, Toxtricity grabbed the plate, before starting to eat. Using his right hand to grab some of the food, he stuffed it into his mouth.
Wanting to first simply taste to know if it was edible, the pokemon quickly puts another portion in his mouth, while he seemed to love it. In fact, it was so good that he even started to lick the plate when he was done. And he barely had time to put it on the ground when the door to the room opened.
" Toxtri ? "
Jumping when he heard it, Chopper ended up smiling at him.
"Oh? You're awake? That's good news."
Toxtricity utiliser THUNDER WAVE.
Seeing the lightning bolt towards him, Chopper jumped back, screaming in terror. Hitting the ground, the attack pulverized the floor creating an explosion. Taking advantage of this, the pokemon then rushed to the bedroom window and jumped. Pulverizing the tiles, he ignored the pieces of glass and found himself outside. Then staring at the entrance gate in front of him, he continued his escape plan by running in that direction.
"I knew you were going to do that."
Surprised, the Pokémon stops. Then, turning around, it saw Sanji, smoking, while leaning against one of the walls of the inn.
" Toxtri ? "
"Seriously, don't you ever get tired of running away all the time?"
"TOXTRI!" the Pokémon growled.
Seeming to want to fight with Sanji, the pokemon was surprised when hearing the cook say.
"You're not from this world, are you? And you don't know how to get home."
" Tox ? "
"I know your life here seems complicated! You have nowhere to go and everyone on this island fears you or wants to chase you away."
Narrowing his eyes, Toxtricity stared at him. Then, finally, seeming to forget his anger, he turned around and started to leave. However, he stopped when Sanji questioned him.
"If you don't know where to go, do you want to come with us?"
"Toxtri?" The pokemon wondered.
"I blame myself for not coming to save you sooner." Sanji stated. "Even though I wasn't the one who hurt you, if I had come to get you sooner, you could have kept your hand! Now that you're hurt, I refuse to leave you here alone! Chopper healed you, but I doubt it's enough."
Digging into his pockets, Sanji pulled out a red and white object that he made grow in his hand.
"Instead of living alone like a vagabond, will you become my partner?"
Seeing the cook outside, Bruno affirmed.
"As soon as Sanji comes back with the toad, we can leave."
"Yeah!" Luffy assured, with his bag on his shoulders. "I can't wait to see what our new ship looks like."
" Huh ... Luffy-san ... " Said Azelma.
Turning, the young woman looked at Zoro and the others, who seemed depressed.
"I think there is a problem."
"Huh? Hey, guys! What's wrong with you?"
"I'm wanted..." Nami muttered. "Now, even for shopping, I might get attacked."
"People don't even know my name." Yosaku remarked.
"Shut up." Wiper growled. "You have your face on your wanted poster! In my photo, I look like a mugshot."
"Raynare is in front of me." Zoro growled.
At that moment, taking advantage of the fact that he was sitting on the floor, Menma approached him, before placing his hand on his head.
" Onii-san ... "
Suddenly showing an arrogant smile, she pointed at herself, before saying.
" 200 millions ... "
Then, she patted Zoro's head, before chuckling.
"You'll do better next time."
Immediately, a vein of anger appeared on Zoro's forehead. Then, a sound of impact was heard, while yet another bump was visible on Menma's head.
"OUCH! ONII-SAN, YOU'RE MEAN!"
" SHUT UP ! "
Suddenly, Menma felt Azelma's arms grab her, as the young woman lifted her up to place her on her lap.
"No arguing! Don't get upset."
Seeming to take advantage of the situation, Menma buried her face between Azelma's breasts, before starting to sob.
"Azelma... onii-san is mean to me! He does nothing but hit me! Because of him, I have lots of bumps on my head."
"Don't worry," Azelma assured her, hugging her. "He won't hurt you anymore! I know he's mean."
Continuing to sob, Menma eventually turned her face towards Zoro. Then, showing him her tongue, she then pulled her eyelid and made a grimace.
"You..." Zoro growled, feeling a vein of anger flare up in the back of his head. "I assure you, you'll regret this."
Starting to smile mischievously, Menma ended up staying still, while Azelma continued to comfort her in her arms. Feeling her face being pressed against his chest, Menma had no desire to move. She liked this maternal gesture, while Azelma was much gentler than Zoro. Menma felt like Azelma was acting like a mother.
For her part, Lucy looked at her wanted poster while appearing humiliated.
"Why do these kinds of things always happen to me?"
"Lucy, the exhibitionist..." Raynare chuckled, behind the blonde. "That would have been a perfect nickname for you."
"SHUT UP!" Lucy roared, trying to hit her. "This is all your fault! I hate you."
Chuckling at first, putting her arms in front of her, to protect herself from Lucy's blows, Raynare displayed a large smile. But then, her face became much more serious.
"But I think of one very important thing."
" Huh ? "
"Your bounty... is it for your head... or for the capture of your enormous boobs?"
Immediately, Lucy turned around before crouching down and starting to pout.
" I hate you ... "
For her part, tearing her wanted poster into small pieces, Velvet roared with rage.
"I can't believe I was photographed in this outfit! I've never been so humiliated."
"Still, I find you very cute." Vivi retorted. "I was even the one who found the dress you were wearing."
"Do you know I'm holding myself back from killing you and doing the same to Nami?" Velvet roared.
"50 berries..." Chopper muttered, as his soul seemed to have left his body. "Why?"
Finally, entering the room, Sanji declared.
"We can go."
"Really? Did you catch the frog?" Luffy asked excitedly.
In response, Sanji grabbed his Pokemon, before throwing it. However, falling to the ground, the object opened and revealed that its contents were empty. Toxtricity was not inside.
"He's made his choice." Sanji said. "Apparently, he doesn't plan on coming with us."
"This is definitely not your lucky day." Gin remarked, looking at Sanji's wanted poster. "Although... I find you more charming in this drawing than in real life! Sanji, believe me, the ladies will like you."
" SHUT UP ! " Said Sanji.
Falling to his knees and knocking, and hitting the ground with his fist, he sobbed.
"I had almost managed to erase that memory from my mind! Why? Why is my photo a drawing?"
"Don't worry, Sanji." Gin assured him. "In a little while, we'll be at Fishmen Island and you'll be able to find solace in the arms of a mermaid."
"Really?" Sanji asked, his smile returning.
" Yeah! You'll be surrounded by mermaids with the same body as Kokoro and who will all fall in love with you when they see your ugly wanted poster."
Immediately, a huge impact sound was heard, as Gin fell to the ground with a bloody face.
"I swear you're not about to drink a glass of rum." Sanji roared. "I'll throw your barrels of alcohol into the ocean."
At that moment, Kiwi's voice was heard outside.
"Mugiwara... what are you doing? Aniki is going to start getting impatient."
"We are coming."
Finally, as the pirates slowly began to forget about their depression, Luffy declared.
"Water-7...it's time to leave this place."
However, seeing him hesitate, Zoro declared.
"Luffy... there's no point in thinking about Usopp! If he wants to come with us, he knows exactly what he has to do."
"Honestly, I think you're mean to him." Lucy retorted. "After all, he came with us to Enies Lobby and he's the one who warned you when Azelma was in danger! He deserves our forgiveness."
"I'm not the captain." Zoro retorted. "The only pardon he needs to get to continue the journey with us is Luffy's."
Then, leaving the inn, the pirates saw Kokoro and Chimney waiting for them.
"I guess it's time to say goodbye." The old woman said.
"Kokoro-san… thank you for your help." Vivi said. "Without you, we would never have been able to get to Enies Lobby."
"No need to thank me! This trip was a real cure for rejuvenation! It's been a long time since I felt so young! And then, some of the anger I felt deep inside disappeared at the same time as the destruction of Enies Lobby! I'm the one who should thank you for that."
Then, winking at the pirates, she declared.
"You want me to, I've kept in touch with a few friends on Fishmen Island! They're all the same age as me and their beauty is only matched by mine! Do you want me to call them?"
"NO WAY!" Sanji shouted, walking as fast as he could. "HURRY! LET'S GO TO FRANKY!"
For her part, gripping Nami's hand, Chimney couldn't help but display a sad face.
"Are you really leaving, Miss Pirate?"
"Yeah! Thanks for your help, Chimney! You were really amazing at Enies Lobby."
"At least one child can boast of having been more useful than others." Zoro said.
Immediately, a vein of anger appeared on Menma and Shun Day's face.
"Hey, what are you implying?" Shun-Day roared. "I'm not a superman."
"And I'm not a gorilla like you." Menma growled. "And I fought without trying to run away."
Leaving them to bicker, Kokoro took a few sips from her bottle, before saying.
" Mugiwara ... "
" Huh ? "
Simply walking away, the old mermaid walked away from the pirates, all the while affirming.
"Franky is just an impulsive idiot who always lets anger dictate his actions! However, it is easy to see that he has a good heart and is loyal to those he cares about! I entrust him to you and do not hesitate to kick his ass to motivate him to achieve his dream."
Showing a simple smile, Luffy nodded.
" Promis. "
But as the pirates began to leave, Bruno turned around to see that Johnny and Yosaku remained in front of the door, while neither of them had taken their bags.
"Hey, what are you guys doing?"
Seeming hesitant, Yosaku didn't know what to answer. For his part, taking a step towards Luffy, Johnny affirmed.
"Luffy-aniki... After taking stock of all the fights we've had since joining your crew, Yosaku and I have thought a lot and we think it's best for us... to leave your crew."
"WHAT?" the pirates wondered, turning to look at him.
"Before, since there were several of us at the same level, we thought that our lack of power was not too big a problem." The swordsman affirmed. "But today, that is no longer the case! Nami... Vivi... Menma... everyone has progressed! Even Usopp! But we... We are still too weak! Even if we have progressed, it is obvious that we are unable to help you."
Thinking back on his many defeats, Johnny declared.
"Arlong's crew... Mr. 5... the Upper Yard pokemons... Ladydevimon... Akoya... we lost to all of these people when we haven't even reached half of the Grand Line! It's obvious that in the New World, our enemies will be even more powerful! If that's the case, we'll be completely humiliated."
"So that's why you want to leave the crew?" Luffy asked.
"Johnny misspoke." Yosaku retorted. "What we want is your permission to temporarily leave your crew.
"Temporarily?"
"The giants on this island plan to return to Elbaf." Johnny said. "There, it seems that anyone can become a superman, along with the warriors on the island! We want to train there and we want to become stronger so that we can be useful to you."
Staring at Luffy, Johnny affirmed.
"Luffy... in order for you to become the Pirate King, it is impossible for you to have weak people in your crew! That is why we want to leave to train! Please grant us the right to make ourselves useful in this way! And when we meet again, we will have become supermen, worthy of being part of your crew."
"So you want to leave my crew... but come back later, after training in Elbaf?"
"YEAH!" The duo assured. "We promise to train day and night to meet your expectations."
Thinking that Luffy would refuse and get angry, the duo were surprised as Luffy displayed his usual smile.
"In that case, it's okay."
" What ? "
"If you promise me that you'll come back when you've become stronger, I don't see why I would refuse." Luffy said.
" Really ? "
"Yeah! It's your right to get stronger! And besides, if it's for training, it's not like you're actually leaving the crew! Besides, we plan on going to Elbaf when we can! Which means we can join you there later."
"Are you sure, Luffy?" Gin asked. "After all, they might end up deciding not to come back to us."
"That's not our focus at all."
Suddenly, the duo became frightened, seeing Zoro thrust one of his swords into the ground, right in front of them.
"HIIII!" they shouted, backing away.
"Our captain has given you his approval! But I prefer to make sure that you will keep your promise! Johnny... Yosaku... I don't know how long your training will last and if you plan to return before we say to Elbaf... but in any case, if we ever arrive on the island and the giants tell us that you abandoned your training and ran away, be certain that I will hunt you down to make you pay for this betrayal! Is that clear?"
" AYE, ANIKI ! "
Hearing them, Zoro finally picked up his sword again, before starting to leave.
"In that case, I'm fine with that! Honestly, it seemed obvious to me that something like this had to happen! You really need to get stronger."
"Hey, wait a minute." Nami shouted. "Are you really going to let them go?"
"What's the problem?" Luffy asked. "All that matters is that they come back later, right?"
" Yes, but ... "
At that moment, Johnny bowed to Luffy and started sobbing.
"Luffy-aniki, thank you for your understanding! Have no fear! I will not shame you! I swear that I will remain loyal to your crew."
"Huh? Are they asleep or are they dead?"
Arriving at the place where the carpenters had built their new ship, the pirates saw Iceberg and the others lying on the ground. Hearing snoring, Vivi declared.
"Kokoro-san told us that they worked day and night! It's normal that they're exhausted."
Unwilling to show mercy, Velvet crushed Paulie's face under her foot.
"Hey! Wake up! We want our boat."
Not appreciating being woken up in this manner, the carpenter sat up before roaring.
"Hey! What's got into you, crushing my head? Are you crazy?"
"I was making sure you were still alive."
"By trampling on me like a doormat?"
Next to the carpenter, Iceberg stretched, before standing up.
"Are you there? Perfect, we'll show you your boat."
"Huh... Franky isn't here?" Luffy asked, looking around. "I thought he'd be the one to introduce us to our ship."
"Unfortunately, he's gone." Iceberg said, walking towards a gigantic tarp, which covered a huge object. "But don't worry, the boat is finished! And, in my opinion, it's the most incredible ship I've ever seen! For me, I'm sure it can take you anywhere."
" REALLY ? "
Walking over to the huge tarp, Iceberg grabbed it, before declaring.
"Mugiwara... before I left, Franky asked me to leave you a message! He said if you wanted to sail to the end of the Grand Line..."
With a sudden tug, he removed the tarpaulin to reveal the boat underneath.
"...nothing beats traveling alongside the king of beasts."
Widening their eyes, the pirates marveled at the lion-headed ship that lay before them.
" GREAT ! "
"He's much taller than Merry." Bruno remarked.
"And it looks more modern." Raynare said.
"However, I wonder why Franky chose a flower for the bow." Robin said. "Is it a sunflower?"
Snickering, Iceberg retorted.
"No, it's a lion's head! And what looks like flower petals is actually its mane."
Wasting no time, Luffy stretched his arm and propelled himself onto the boat. Immediately, he landed on some grass.
"Hey, the floor is covered with grass! That's great."
Arriving at their destination, the rest of the crew quickly saw the difference between Merry and this new ship.
"It's more spacious."
"And we can do some gardening to keep ourselves busy."
"The kitchen! Where is the kitchen?"
"I hope you like it." Iceberg said, joining them. "Franky thought of everything that could please you! There's even a bodyguard to protect your boat."
" A bodyguard ? "
At this moment, mechanical footsteps were heard.
" Pouky ! Pouky ! Pouky ! "
Appearing before the pirates, a mechanical dog stopped, before saying.
"I'm Pouky! Do you want to be my friend?"
" Vegapunk's robot dog? " The pirates were surprised.
"I thought it was destroyed at Enies-Lobby."
"That's right." Iceberg said. "It took a lot of damage! But Chimney took it with her when you escaped Enies Lobby on your ship! And then she gave it to Franky! He's the one who fixed it, thinking he'd be able to watch over your ship when you stopped over."
Immediately, Luffy ran towards Pouky, before crouching down in front of him.
"Great! I'm so happy! Do you hear that, Pouky? You're coming with us."
However, seeing Luffy take the robot dog into his arms, Hatterene seemed much less pleased with the robot's presence.
"Mugiwara...BACK UP!" Iceberg ordered him.
" Huh ? "
At that moment, Luffy heard strange beeps coming from Pouky's eyes, which turned red.
"Enemy spotted! Extermination order granted."
Then, opening his huge jaws, Pouky bit Luffy's face.
" AHHHHHHHHH ! IT HURTS ! HELP ! "
Slapping his forehead, Iceberg sighed.
"Pouky has been programmed to attack anyone who gets on this boat! To prevent him from attacking you, you must say a specific word so that he performs a reconnaissance scan on you! It is after performing this scan that he will consider you as something other than targets."
"AHHHHHHH!" Luffy shouted. "Let go of me!"
Hatterene use BRUTAL SWING.
Hitting the robot hard, the pokemon seemed to enjoy being able to do this. However, as the impact ejected the robot against the ground, Luffy's facial skin was still stuck between his teeth, while Pouky refused to let go.
Worse still, feeling attacked, Pouky let a trapdoor appear on his back, while a torpedo came out to target Luffy.
"Huh?" the pirate wondered.
"Damn it!" Zoro growled. "That stupid dog is going to ruin our new boat."
"We have no choice." Wiper said. "We will eject Luffy and the robot into the ocean, so that the robot will be destroyed."
"WHAT?" Luffy shouted. "Hey, I don't want to."
" COCA COLA ! "
Having shouted this, Iceberg surprised everyone. However, ceasing to be violent, Pouky stopped moving. Then, turning blue, his eyes performed a scan of Luffy.
"Scanning completed! Recognizing an ally."
Then, finally letting go of Luffy's face, Pouky began to wag his tail, like a real dog would.
"I'm Pouky! Do you want to be my friend?"
"Why would I be friends with a dog that bit my face?" Luffy roared.
"Hatte!" His pokemon agreed, clinging affectionately to Luffy.
Then, letting Pouky scan the rest of his crew, Luffy asked.
"Ice-ossan...where is Franky?"
With another sigh, the mayor affirmed.
"This guy is just an idiot, incapable of expressing his feelings."
