Chapter 25: Pick out those hero names!
After the sports festival, things were starting to get better across Japan. Endeavor started acting like a nicer and better father, rekindling his relationship with his family. He also made it a goal to be a better hero, starting with releasing someone who was wrongfully put in jail, the hero Lady Nagant. Her quirk allowed her to use a sniper. All Might continued doing his hero thing and so on.
Izuku and class 1A were officially back to their regularly scheduled program of class in were a little different since they had Eri. She was sitting on Izuku's lap watching him fill his notebook with quirk notes. She took a piece of paper and started to copy him.
"That sports festival was off the chain!" Kirishima said, "I got compliments from a lot of people on the way here."
"Same," Kaminari said.
"Honestly I'm a bit nervous about who scouted me," Momo said.
Kenshi gave Momo a hug from behind.
"You did great though Momo, so don't be nervous," he said with a smile.
"Thank you Kenshi," Momo said.
Jiro saw this and smirked.
"Hey Jojo, why don't you raise your hands up a bit."
"Uhh ok," Kenshi said raising his hands up.
"More," Jiro said.
Kenshi raised them up some.
"Jiro what are you plan- MMMNPH!"
Kenshi froze a bit, and squeezed both his hands, only to feel something soft in his grasp, and cause Momo to shiver. Realization hit him like the Captain Falcon's final smash. He grabbed Momo's chest.
Jiro fell to the floor laughing.
"Wow I didn't realize he was so bold!" she said.
"IMSORRYMOMOIDIDNTMEANTOGRABYOURCHESTLIKETHATIDIDNTKNOWWHATJIROWASPLOTTINGIMSORRYPLEASEDONTHATEME!"
"Kenshi," Momo said to Kenshi, "Kenshi?"
She sighed and then gave him a kiss.
"Sorry Momo," Kenshi said, "I didn't mean to touch you like that."
Momo shook her head.
"Its ok Kenshi you didn't know," she said with a smile, "If anything I should be mad at Jiro."
"You would be if you didn't enjoy it so much!" Jiro laughed.
Eri was sitting on Izuku's lap writing in a little notebook similar to what Izuku does. Shoto was writing down theories in his own notebook. Aizawa walked in and everyone was in their seats.
"You're getting better," Aizawa said with a smirk, "So I got the research notes about the sports festival.
He pressed a button showing the number of pros that gave offers to each of the students. Izuku, Kenshi and Katsuki were at the top three.
"Wow daddy so much people wanna work with you! You're a hero!" Eri said.
"Well I'm a hero in training," Izuku said.
"But you're my hero because you saved me," Eri said as she gave him a hug, "I love you Daddy."
"I love you too Eri," Izuku said giving her a hug.
"So cute..." Mina said.
"Now before we get into the swing of internships we need to come up with hero names," Aizawa said.
"HEro names!" Midnight said as she walked in, "They are a part of a hero, a name that lets people know that things will be alright when they arrive. A hero's name is-"
He saw Izuku wave.
"Hi Aunt Nemuri."
"Aizawa, you didn't tell me Izuku was in your class!" Nemuri said as she pouted.
"And for good reason." Aizawa said with an eye roll.
Eri looked at the woman who was hugging Izuku.
"Mommy why is that woman hugging my Daddy?" she asked.
"That's because it's his auntie, sweetie," Ochako answered.
"What's an auntie?" Eri asked.
"An auntie is your daddy's sister," Tsu said.
"Oh, so does that make you my auntie Asui?" Eri asked, making Tsu's heart melt like butter.
"Call me Auntie Tsu," she said.
"Ok Auntie Tsu,"
After a few minutes everyone had a few hero names written down. Aoyama went up first.
"This shall be my hero name that brings a sparkles to everyone's eyes," he said, "The Shining Hero, I cannot stop Twinkling!"
"Come ON!" Everyone said.
"I think its better like this, take out the I, and shorten the Cannot to Can't," Midnight said with a smile.
"Tis stunning," Aoyama said, "Though I may have a better idea. Twilight! Because my light shines within the darkness and lights the way to a bright future!"
"That's actually not bad!" Ochako said.
"An incredible name," Midnight said.
"My turn!" Mina said bumping into Aoyama, "My codename, Alien Queen!"
[8:15 PM]
"Absolutely not!" Midnight said.
"Why not?!" Mina asked.
"Because that's a scary name," Midnight said.
"Dangit..." Mina said going back to her seat.
Kenshi raised his hand up.
"I think I got one," he said.
"Go on up," Midnight said.
"A few friend sof mine gave me this nickname based on my quirk," Kenshi said, "The Gaming Hero: Captain Arcadia!"
"Such a delightful name!" Midnight said.
Other students started going up with hero names. Jiro went with the name Heartjack, while Ojiro had something simple as Tailman. Shoto went with his name as his hero name, believing he didn't need anything special as a name.
Iida went up with his name.
"I was given this mantle by my brother, and I plan to use it with pride. Ingenium!"
"You have a lot to live up to if you pick that name," Midnight said with a smile.
Mina went back up with her new name, and a megaphone in hand.
"PINKY!" she screamed.
"Makes those looks work for you girl!" Midnight said before scratching her ears, "But did you really need the megaphone?"
"No, but I just wanted to use it," Mina answered.
Izuku went up with his hero name.
"A long time ago my friend gave me this nickname Deku," Izuku said, "But my girlfriend Ochako helped me discover the true name, meaning the person who can do anything. So this is my hero name."
He held up his board with the name 'Dekiru: The Symbol of Hope.'
"I'm the hero who's gonna give hope to those who need it, and help people go beyond, plus ultra!"
Kirishima started to cry a bit. He realized there were onions on his table.
"Hey who left this bowl of onions here?"
"And now that that's over, Jotaro and Yagi have an announcement."
"As you remember, Deku... well... Dekiru and I had been going around asking you all about your quirks and costume ideas. Dekiru took care of notes, while I went the extra mile, and upgraded all of your hero costumes."
"Wait what? Where did you get the money to do that?" Mina asked.
"Well aside from my 'Super Jotaro' business, my mom's new husband got funds while working with someone from America, David Shield."
"Oh my god, I know that guy!" Izuku said, "He developed all of Dad's hero costumes, the bronze age, silver age, and golden age!"
Kenshi pressed a button revealing schematics for hero costume upgrades. The first one was Mina.
"Mina, I created gauntlets for you to control your acid and fire various types of acid shots. Based off Samus' Arm Cannon from Metroid."
"Whoa, that looks sick!" Mina said.
"Sato, I created some pouches for you to hold on to the sweets you use in case you need a power boost," Kenshi said.
He then switched it over to Iida.
"Iida, this new suit should prevent you from getting hot or overexhausting yourself. There are also engines around the back, in case your legs get tired or exuast."
"I never thought of it like that, bravo Jotaro!" Iida said.
He then turned to Ochako.
"Uraraka, for your costume, I took the liberty of adding thrusters to your boots, and also added grappling hooks that you can use to keep track of the objects you levitate," Kenshi stated.
"Whoa, that costume looks insane!"
Kenshi then turned to Izuku.
"Dekiru, your costume was a lot of work, but the end result is worth it."
He turned the monitor to show Izuku's hero costume. It kept the same green schematic, but it had some Iron Soles for his legs for powerful kicks, and spikes for his arms. It also had that bunny hood from his first costume.
"There was one more support item to go with this, but Hatsume said it wasn't done yet. You'll probably get it during your internship."
"Holy whoa," Izuku said, "This looks amazing."
"Now theses are your lists of heroes who scouted you," Aizawa said, "You have a week to decide who you'll do your internship with."
The gang was walking in the hallways. Monoma approached them.
"Well if it isn't the Class 1A gang," Monoma said, "You may have bested us in the Sports Festival, but next year we will be prepared."
He then glared at Kenshi.
"Looks like I may need to teach you a lesson," Kenshi said.
"Monoma stop," Hayate said.
"Come on aren't you the least bit angry at Jotaro for besting you in combat?"
"If anything I should be angry, because Hayate didn't give his all during his match," Iwata said walking by before turning his attention to Monoma, "And you Monoma, you have more work to put in. Find a way to not rely so much on your quirk, and become a proper fighter! And as for you Kodai-"
Class 1A was listening to Iwata speak so lowly to the students. To think he was a teacher in the hero course. He started to walk away. Monoma turned to Kenshi.
"Hey I'm really sorry."
"Yea me too," Kenshi said.
"He's worse than us," Monoma said, referring to Iwata.
"Yea he's our enemy now," Kenshi said.
"Looks like that guy woke up on the wrong side of bed," Jiro said chuckling.
Iwata stopped.
"One thing I do not tolerate is side comments about me," Iwata said, "So who said that? Because they're getting a week worth of detention. Anyone wanna confess, or do you all wanna do 200 push ups?"
"Principal Nezu strictly forbids physical punishments," Momo said.
"Principal Nezu? Well if you ask me, the little fool isn't fit to be in charge of UA," he said, "He's weak, spineless."
He started to walk away.
"Hey Jotaro," Awase said, "Do you have any pointers or ideas for our quirks?"
Kenshi smiled knowing he was getting along with the other class. Later everyone was at the dorms looking at the lists. Izuku noticed a name on his list.
"Gentle Pro?" Izuku asked.
"Oh yea, he's the pro who made Gold Tips Imperial famous," Momo said, "Speaking of which I have some for everyone."
"Ochako, who are you gonna go with?" Izuku asked his girlfriend.
"Well, I'm gonna go with Gunhead," Ochako said, "I wanna help people, but my fight against Bakugo made me realize I gotta reach out and expand my abilities. Himiko is coming with me"
"I think I'm gonna go with Lady Nagant," Mina said, "Seems like she can teach me how to aim with my acid."
"Well I think I'm gonna go with The Hero Salvator," Iida said.
Kenshi looked at his list. He saw the pro hero Mirko give him an offer. Momo had her on her list as well.
"Hey why don't we both do Mirko," Momo said, "I was gonna go with Uwabami, but... now I'm not so sure about her."
"I think that's a great idea!" Kenshi said.
"A little off topic, but I still think you should learn the spells from the Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind. If you did that, I'm pretty confident you can beat Go-"
"Stop! Right there! If you finish that sentence all of the dragon ball fans will jump on this fic like flies on crap!" Kenshi interrupted.
"Well, I think you two will have a great time with Mirko," Jiro said, "Maybe she can teach the two of you how to fu-"
"JIRO!" Kenshi and Momo said in unison.
Jiro snorted at their reaction.
