"Making a triquetra here on this plain of existence is a good idea." Xander said, after Phoebe explained her insight once they were all back at his and Cordelia's place. "Magic involves symbolism and there's no bigger symbol of the Power of Three than the triquetra. It should work to form a connection with the Book of Shadows. But you need more than that."

"What do you mean?" Prue asked.

"The inscription in the Book said you need to fight it with the Power of One, your powers combined into one. To fight Abraxes, you need to join your powers into one and to be sure the spell is powerful enough to overcome him, it needs to be the strongest Power of Three spell you know."

"That would be the Dominus Trinus." Phoebe informed him. "The spell that unbound our powers in the first place and the first one in the Book."

"Do you all know it?"

"Yes." Piper confirmed. "I've seen it often enough to know it."

"Same here." Prue agreed. "But where should we do it?"

"Normally I'd say the Manor," Xander answered. "because that's where you're strongest, but Abraxes is there too, right now and he may see you coming."

"The clearing where the Wiccan gathering was." Cordelia suggested. "The confluence of energy should boost the spell even more."

"And here's where I can help." Xander said. "The Soul Collector pointed out that I've been touched by two higher powers and the Dominus Trinus spell calls on the ancient gods, one of whom is the god I've been touched by, Janus, who is, among other things, a protector. I can modify the shield spell to invoke his protection and create a shield around you so any other vanquishes Abraxes tries to undo can't get to you while your reciting the spell. It may even backlash his attempt to undo those vanquishes on him."

"That sounds great." Prue said. "I just hope it doesn't affect the results of the test, in the opinion of whichever bigwigs decided to allow Abraxes to take the Book in the first place."

"Then it's on me." Xander told her. "Because I'm doing this of my own free will. No one has any right to stop me from protecting the people that matter to me."

"What can I do to help?" Cordelia asked. "Because no one can keep me from trying to protect people that matter to me too!"

"You can help me." Xander assured her. "Janus is a god of duality and of opposites and male and female are a duality and opposite at the same time. Symbolism. It'll help reinforce the protection I'm asking him to help with."

"Okay, than we have a plan." Phoebe said. "Do we have to be skyclad for it?"

"I don't think so." Xander shook his head.

"He'd be too distracted if that was the case." Cordelia grinned.

"Being naked in front of nature." Piper answered. "And I'm still mad that you were safety not part of that whole business and I was."

"Sorry I asked. Let's go, there's only a few hours left until our anniversary is over and it may be too late to save the Book by then." Prue headed to her car, with Piper and Phoebe following her and Xander and Cordelia heading to his car. Piper gave Prue directions and Xander followed them. Once they arrived at the park, Phoebe drew a triquetra symbol on the stone pillar at the center of the clearing and Xander took Cordelia's hand in his.

'Janus, god of beginnings and endings, transitions and time, you who protect our homes from the unclean ones, this one who's soul bears the imprint of your powers calls on you now, do not turn your faces from my plea - enemies, fly and fall - circling arms, raise a wall!'

A shimmering, translucent wall of energy appeared around the Halliwell sisters, the Charmed Ones, as they began their own spell.

The Book of Shadows appeared on the pillar in front of them and a portal opened above their heads and the demon Abraxes appeared.

"What are you doing?" He demanded. "How did you bring me here? I'll destroy you!" He threatened, as the Book itself acted against him and the triquetra began to glow, sucking him towards it as he screamed. Another demon vanquished by the Power of Three.
