Halo, it's time for the newest chapter. Enjoy the reading.
- Sorry for the inconvenience, - Pietro enthusiastically led the members of team RWBY, JNR and LLMM to the research and development laboratory. – and for it took so long to fix your weapons. The improvements you suggested were… well, quite complicated to implement. – He stopped in front of a row of cupboards, each of which contained a box. - I hope they are as you asked them to be, - The team members were excited that their weapons now became even more powerful. - but I took the opportunity to review the footage of you at the Vytal Tournament and added some extra improvements. - Everyone was amazed when they opened the boxes and saw the new and modern versions of their former weapons. - Hopefully, they will be of good service.
- Everyone, report to the briefing! – There wasn't much time to enjoy the new weapons because Clover had already called the Ace Ops and the others.
The teams arrived, Clover and the Ace Ops were already waiting for them.
- Alright, our mission is to secure the Amity CCT-tower launch site. - Clover began as all eyes turned to her. – The designated area is an abandoned Dust mine. - He pressed a button and the projector showed a map where the mine could be found. - Ever since it was closed, the Grimms overran it and made a homestead in it. The good news is that all the untouched Dust is still down. The science team says we could use it in the first stage of launch. Atlas' soldiers and Hunters work hard to clear the surrounding tundra, but the scouts report a massive Ghost Grimm. We managed to minimize the damage it caused, but it cost many lives. After we increased the number, the Ghost was smart enough to retreat to the mine, - He pressed another problem that showed the Ghost Grimm possessing a pile of icy rocks as a body and using it as a weapon. – which means that it's old and particularly dangerous. This will be our destination. – He pressed another button, which made the machine show the internal structure of the mine. - The mine used to be a labyrinth. It hides all kinds of tunnels and chambers, in which the Ghost can move easily and quickly. If we're going to cut this creature out, we're going to have to split it up and corner it. General Ironwood said he's seen your battlefield experience and I'd trust that man with my life, so the same for you tomorrow. We're done, dismiss.
They could hardly sleep because of the great excitement, the RWBY, JNR and LLMM team were already sitting on pins and needles waiting to go on another exciting adventure with Atlas' strongest Hunter team, with their super new weapons and of course, with a new outlook.
Ruby wore thigh high boots, pale sheer stockings, a red miniskirt, her old black and red corset, gray sweats, a pair of black fingerless gloves and of course, her long red cape. On her brown belt were several ammunition holders, as well as the metal rose crest, which she had received from her mother. She wore a Crescent Rose on her lower back. Her hair became a bit shorter and in a tousled style.
Weiss wore high heeled light blue boots, a long, one-piece dress, dark blue at top, light blue and white evening coat at down, long and dark blue gloves, and a white belt with multiple Dust containers and a Myrtenaster hanging from the side. She wore her white hair in a big braid.
Blake wore a pair of black high-heeled ankle boots, long black leggings, a black sweatshirt and over it a long-sleeved coat that was white on the outside, dark purple on the inside and carried a Gumbo Shroud on her back. Instead of her former long, black hair, she now has short, neck-length hair.
Yang was wearing a pair of brown winter boots, a beige overcoat with brown wool inside, an orange scarf, orange sunglasses with yellow borders and an orange glove on her left human hand. Only her long blond hair remained the same as before.
Lance acquired a pair of furred red and yellow field boots, black sweatpants with several red and gold edged armor plates mounted on them, a new gold and red waist protector, his once worn red and gold breastplate repaired and polished, as well as the shoulder pads and he also wore his gauntlet, and under his breastplate he wore long-sleeved, red sweater. He cut his hair short enough so it wouldn't bother him.
- Let's get this over with as soon as possible, guys! - They could hear Clover over the radio.
After the plane's door opened, they were several kilometers above the mine, the wind was howling strongly, but Team RWBY and Lance confidently readied their weapons, looked at each other and jumped out of the plane.
Ruby started with her Semblance, but ended up with Crescent Rose's high-caliber shots, bringing her down to the ground with ease. Throwing runes, Weiss bounced back and forth from one to the other, quickly and safely approaching the ground, but half way she summoned one of the giant ice knight's arms, with a huge broadsword in it, which, held down, served as a slide towards the ground.
Hooking one end of the Gumbo Shroud to a metal pipe, Blake swung over several abandoned buildings and made her way to the rendezvous point. Yang, like a cannonball, sped straight towards the ground and just before impact, she fired a shot at the ground with the restored Ember Celica, the impact of which sent her up a bit, stopping her from impact.
Lance fully opened his shield, Scarlet Rook and used the built-in gravity to descend next to the girls with Dusts.
They were followed by Harriet and Marrow from the Ace Ops and were ready to enter one of the entrances to the mine.
- The Alpha team is here, - Clover said from the radio. – the landing place is clear, we continue on foot. You have some new Scrolls, so don't forget to use them too. Keep your eyes and ears open. Report immediately when you meet the target. Alpha out.
- What's that? - Blake couldn't help but notice that Yang was constantly staring at her.
- Oh, - Yang scratched the back of her head, slightly blushing and embarrassed. - sorry! I'm just not used to your new hairstyle!
- Maybe… - Blake stroked her shorter hair in confusion. - you don't like it?
- No! No! - Yang snapped. - It's really good! Looks great!
- Man, - Marrow just put one hand on his hip. - I didn't contract for babysitting.
- Come on, - Harriet just rolled her eyes. - we always babysit you.
Marrow just crossed his arms offended and followed his companion.
The settlement around the mine wasn't particularly large, it was the equivalent of a small village, full of empty containers, rails and processing plants. The buildings were abandoned, dilapidated and covered in snow.
Weiss was wracked with guilt when she found an old transport vehicle with the SDC logo, belonging to her family's company. She remembered how her father and the rich people of Atlas had treated the faunus cruelly.
- It's very cold here! - Ruby shivered, she almost froze.
- At Solitas you can be frozen in a few hours without heating or aura. - Weiss explained.
- No wonder so much Dust has to be produced to heat the whole city. - Lance, although he could stand the cold better, he knew well that ordinary people don't have auras. - It's bad to even think about what it would be like if the heating in the city was turned off even for a single day.
- Suddenly I don't feel so bad, - Blake was also tormented by the cold. – for leaving Oscar behind.
- Can we talk about this again? - Yang and the team looked at Ruby, who looked worriedly towards Marrow and Harriet, who were far enough away that Marrow couldn't hear them even with his faunus hearing.
- About what? - Ruby was worried and guessed what they might want to talk about.
- Are we really not going to tell Ironwood what happened to Oz? - Yang, although she respected her sister, didn't really agree with her decision. - What we learnt about Jinn and Salem?
- Yang's right, Ruby. - Lance joined her.
- We will! - Ruby nailed it. - We'll tell him. – Not even knowing whether it was the right thing to telling the truth, she lowered her head. - But you saw the conditions in Atlas.
- The General's heart's in the right place, - Blake was next to Ruby. – but that doesn't mean we can trust him.
- We have to work together for a while before we make any decisions. - Weiss was with Ruby too.
- Also, I'm also worried about what Roman said. - Ruby remembered Roman's words as he warned her against the general.
- In the past, I certainly wouldn't have taken his word for it, - Yang's dislike for Roman has already subsided a bit. – but lately he has proven to be reliable.
- Ruby's right, - Lance finally changed his mind. – perhaps we could wait until it becomes clear whether everything is fine with the general and if so, then we will tell him the truth.
- I see. - Yang still disagreed. - How does Oscar feel about this?
- Well… - Ruby looked to the side. - he didn't agree, but he accepted.
The rest of the team headed for the other entrance to the mine.
- This is my favorite part! - Elm excitedly jumped out of the plane, followed by Vine.
The members of the JNR team and Mike also jumped out.
Jaune, like Lance, parachuted down with his shield, also using gravity Dust. Mike, with the help of What the Heck, in which he filled gravity Dust, summoned a parachute, which he used to easily reach the ground, although Ren and Nora had landed well before him, so they were still ready to fight.
- Huh, - Elm just laughed as the group landed. - maybe you kids won't get yourself killed! – She started towards the entrance, leaving the offended JNR team and Mike behind.
- She meant that as a compliment. – Vine tried to make them understand that Elm sometimes has a hard time expressing herself.
Team JNR and Mike followed the two members of the Ace Ops into the ice cave, where there was no need for a lamp or any other light source, as enough sunlight filtered through the ice walls to make it bright inside the cave.
- Situation report. – Clover spoke from the other side of the radio.
- The ice tunnel connections look clear, - Vine replied. – we can approach the actual mine at any minute.
- This is so exciting! – Nora was fascinated by the ice cave. - We're like a treasure hunting team!
- Or like the Ice Gnomes! - It reminded Mike of one of his favorite cartoon series.
- You know... - Nora didn't pay much attention to Mike, rather she tried to get closer to Ren, a little embarrassed. - I like your new look, Ren.
Ren wore a pair of black leather boots, white sweatpants, a green vest, a pair of long black sleeveless gloves that reached to his shoulders, and his father's dagger on his right shoulder, carrying his two weapons, Stormflower, on either side. He wore his long, black hair braided at the back.
Nora wore a pair of black boots, white tights, a pink long vest with light blue lapels, a black warmup underneath and a pair of black fingerless gloves, and she carried her weapon, Magnhild, on her back. She wore her orange hair cut a little shorter and reaching down to her neck.
Jaune wore a pair of dark brown boots, dark blue pants, the red cloth around his waist, a black short sleeved hoodie, his white and gold breastplate was modified to be stronger and more durable, he was also equipped with two shoulder pads, arm guards and armored gauntlets, his sword hanging from his belt he carried and transformed his shield into a scabbard. His blonde hair was cut short because it was already very long.
Mike was wearing black and yellow boots, beige sweatpants, an orange sweater, a yellow and black jacket, a black beanie and a pair of black mittens, What the Heck was on his back. His black hair had grown since then and reached his neck.
- Um... - Ren didn't know how to handle the compliment, instead he tried to concentrate on the task at hand. – we should focus on the mission.
- Oh, - Nora was a little taken aback that Ren shook her off like that. - okay.
- I like your new look too. - Jaune tried to cheer her up but to no avail.
Qrow and Clover entered through a third, narrower entrance. They were in a long, snowy rock cave.
- I have to say, - Qrow, who didn't like working in a team, revealed something. – I'm still not used to working in a team with other Hunters in the field.
- But you were also in a team? - Clover asked.
- That was a long time ago. – Qrow has some old memories about Team STRQ. The many bad memories that he had buried deep down now came to the surface, but it was enough for him to shake his head to banish those thoughts. - I just noticed that it's much better to work alone.
- I think it's bullsh*t. – Clover didn't agree with him, but suddenly, Qrow slipped and if Clover hadn't caught him in time, he'd have fallen to his face. - This is Alpha. - He spoke on the radio. - Situation report.
- Bravo is coming. - After they went further into the mine, the passage was blocked by a huge pile of debris, which Harriet immediately reported. - There was a cave entrance at the main entrance. I don't know if it belongs to the original or if it was caused by an accident. Anyway, we have to solve this little problem.
- Understood, - Clover spoke on the other side of the radio. - let me know if you need anything.
- Are you okay? – Yang noticed that Blake looked worriedly around the pile of debris and the equipment left here.
- Yeah, - Blake sighed. - I just remembered where we are exactly. This mine was closed after an explosion.
- Mandy told me about this disaster. - Lance remembered the fox faunus girl who betrayed them. - I couldn't tell at the time that she was just joking, but now I know that she wasn't.
- No wonder she joined the White Fang and did what he did! - Yang clenched her fists angrily.
- Many faunus only joined the White Fang because of places like this, and that's why Adam was able to take control. - Blake knew well how people in Atlas treated faunus. - Because of people like the Atlas businessmen.
- I remember this disaster. Weiss interrupted. - Or at least how angry my father was about it. - She shook her head. - Of course, not because of the lives of the faunus workers who died here, but because of the wasted money. - Weiss felt so stupid that the man she always wanted to satisfy was her evil and selfish father. - I wish I could undo all the pain my family has caused the faunus. - She looked towards Blake. - And of course, all the complacency.
- Don't worry. - Blake placed a hand on her friend's shoulder, indicating that she held no grudge against her.
- This society was set up that way, - Marrow began to explain. – so that the faunus are at the bottom and the humans are the beneficiaries. - He looked towards the two girls. - There is no benefit for them to help us. In fact, on the contrary, there are many companies that only exploit and abuse us. – He looked towards a cart with the well-known SDC logo on it, indicating that the Schnee Dust Company is the one that makes the best use of faunus. - Well, - He shook his head and began to focus on the present. - we aren't here to discuss sociality problems! Harriet found a gap in the debris, quite narrow but we thought one of you could fit through. - He looked at Blake. - Someone who can see well in the dark.
- Oh, - Blake realized after a slight phase lag that he was aiming for her. – of course!
- Just be carefully. - Lance warned, but Yang just looked at her quietly, worried, not wanting her to go alone into a dark tunnel, possibly full of Grimm.
- Okay, Blake, look around. - Marrow ordered over the radio. - Is there any Dust in the immediate area?
- Mining carts, debris, but no Dust.
- Great, then we can safely blast through.
- Okay, then… - She stopped suddenly and shots were heard from the other side, a Grimm sure attacked her.
- Damn it! - Harriet didn't hesitate, the bag on her back opened and machine parts covered both shoulders, right down to the ends of her fingers. - Blake, take cover!
The machines were actually amplifiers, physically amplifying her to the point that a single, powerful blow was enough to clear the debris out of the way. It didn't take long for them to see the Ghost Grimm they had originally come to hunt attacking Blake. It was no longer necessary and they opened fire, but recognizing the overwhelming force, they took it as a runaway.
- Don't let it escape! – Yang was the first to run after it, the others followed, but a Centipede Grimm spun out of the ground and snarled at Yang, but she hit it in the face with a single punch, before it swung back, squealing, causing dozens of its companions to appeared from the ground or the ceiling. - Disgusting.
Team RWBY and Lance didn't hesitate to fight the giant centipede Grimm, Ruby charged at one with her Semblance, Blake, Weiss and Lance thinned them out with their swords, Yang engaged them with her shotgun gauntlets, but two specimens ventured close, a few times she punched them, not too hard, sticking some red glowing metal devices on them, then jumped back. She pressed a button on her left wristband as red lights began to flash and then explode, killing the two Grimm.
Ruby decapitated another Grimm, but her scythe, after the Crescent Rose transformation, was now able to flip at the push of a button, so Ruby didn't have to bother and waste precious time flipping the weapon.
Not letting the youngsters reap all the glory, Marrow charged forward, opening fire on the Grimm, taking down several more, then transforming his rifle into a giant metal boomerang and throwing it, executed one Grimm, returned to him and cut down a second one. However, two others charged towards him with a united force.
- Stay! - He clicked before using his Semblance and the two centipedes seemed to freeze as Harriet rushed over and quickly disposed of the two monsters.
- Bravo here! - Harriet reported to the others on the radio. – We found the target, but it fled deep into the cave. It sent us some smaller ones!
The others didn't hesitate to fight and push back the Grimm.
- Only one left! - Weiss prepared to execute the last centipede, but Harriet preceded her.
- I handle it! – Ruby held up Crescent Rose to kill her, but Harriet overcame her too and executed the monster with one powerful blow. - Wow, - Ruby's eyes glittered at the Huntress who finished off the Grimm in the blink of an eye. – your Semblance makes you superfast?! Just like mine!
- That's great, - Harriet put her hand on her hip in appreciation. – although judging by your reaction time, I'm a bit faster.
- The Alpha is here! - Clover was heard on the radio. - We found the target!
- Let's pick up the pace! - After hearing Harriet's report, Elm didn't hesitate to rush forward, down a large ice slide and Vine didn't hesitate to follow.
The members of the JNR team and Mike thought for a while, but they realized that this was the fastest way to find the Ghost Grimm. Jaune went ahead, followed by Ren after Nora pushed him and then jumped, followed by Mike who didn't want to be alone.
The end of the slide led directly to the entrance of the mine, where the terrain was already rocky, but lit by lamps. Unfortunately, dozens of centipede Grimm emerged from the rocks to finish off those who entered here.
- Enemy! - Vine noticed them immediately, using his Semblance, his hands covered in a yellow light, then, as if they were extensions of his own arms, he held them out, his fingers digging into the wall where he held on and stopped.
And from Elm's legs, it was as if aura roots of green light were released and she was able to stop immediately, but the JNR team and Mike didn't even try to slow down, they slid straight towards the Grimms.
Jaune took out his sword, opened his shield, activated the force field in it and as soon as he got close enough to the first two Grimm, he slammed the point into the ground and pushed them back with Gravity Dust.
Ren jumped up and fired the wire-rope blades built into his submachine gun at the centipede in front of him, then he began to drag himself, he flew towards the monster and in the blink of an eye he found himself at the creature's head, he pulled out the blades, jumped away from the creature and opened fire.
Before another Grimm could attack him in the back, Nora struck it to dead with her hammer, followed by a second one.
Mike held What the Heck behind his back and loaded it with Gravity Dust, then turned it on and gave it a massive push across the ice before reaching the end of the ice border, activated his Semblance and it rolled and bounced like a deadly pinball ball, this killed at least 6 centipedes.
- This is very… - By the time Elm and Vine arrived, all the Grimm were dead. – reckless approach.
- Yeah, - Jaune just shrugged, he was confused but proud. – this is our style.
After the Ace Ops members passed them and were far enough away, the others exhaled tiredly, indicating that this fight was tighter than they thought.
Qrow opened fire on the Ghost with the Harbinger, but it was too fast and fled.
- All units towards our position! - Clover instructed the others as she took out his weapon, the Kingfisher, a combat fishing rod, which he used to hook the Ghost's mask, only to miss by a few inches, giving it the chance to attack a pile of icy rocks that became its body.
Clover didn't hesitate to fight to stop the resurrection, but Qrow saw that a beam was holding back a rock that was about to erupt, which wouldn't last long and Clover was right below him and didn't notice.
- Stop! Back! – Qrow immediately shouted, before Clover noticed in time and jumped back. The whole ceiling collapsed, even the floor, who knows how deep.
- Damn, - He spoke into the radio again. – the target fled. It was last headed east. - He looked towards Qrow who had saved his life. - Thank you for warning me. - He kicked a pebble into the ravine. - This could have gone badly.
- I wouldn't thank myself. - Qrow stared indifferently at Clover. - My Semblance brings bad luck. I can't really control it.
- Really? - Clover looked surprised, he looked at his Scroll to see the map of the mine and saw a metal beam to hook Kingfisher's hook into to lower them. - Don't blame yourself for that. – He gave it a yank, causing the beam and all the debris that was behind it to fall into the chasm. - My Semblance brings good luck. Lucky, huh? - He started talking over the radio again. - Charlie, Bravo, you can hit the target in the heart of the mine. - Qrow and I will be close.
Qrow couldn't believe his ears, his bad luck didn't work around this man. He didn't have to constantly scan his surroundings for what could go wrong. For the first time in his life, he could get close to someone without having to pay a heavy price for it.
The last person to do this died and he blames his own Semblance for it. Maybe now, with Clover, that his Semblance won't be in the way, he can let someone close to himself.
The heart of the mine was a rightful name, since it was a huge hall, the rocks on the ceiling and walls were full of dust and the whole hall was crossed by various passages, several kilometers high.
The Bravo and Charlie teams met here and they all felt that the Ghost was hiding here and could strike at any moment.
- Guys! - Ruby shouted to Team Charlie.
- Everyone be careful. - Vine warned everyone over the radio. – Dust concentration is very high in this room. Detonating it can destroy the entire launch site. - He explained in a completely calm tone of voice.
- And kill us! - Marrow, unable to comprehend how his companion could be so calm. - How come this is secondary to you?
- Wasn't the target somewhere around here? – Nora was looking for the Ghost, but just as she said it, the hall shook and they looked up at the ceiling.
There they saw the huge pile of ice and rock that the Spirit possessed and used it as a body. It turned the boulder to face the Hunters. Like a predator on its prey, it spotted them and jumped towards them.
During the fall, it also destroyed a flight, but when it hit the ground, it stirred up a huge cloud of dust. When the dust settled, they all noticed that the glowing stones on its body were actually Dust, making it a formidable opponent.
- It added Dust to its body?! – Ruby looked at the monster in horror, which they can't even blow up, because then they too would die. - How should... - She didn't even have time to get scared when Harriet ran past her and the Ace Ops attacked the monster at the same time.
- Go! - Vine reached out with one of his energy arms to grab the monster's leg while the other grabbed onto a metal beam, trying to distract it until his companion Elm could attack the confused monster.
- Vine! – Elm sent energy from her legs into the ground and grabbed the other leg of the monster.
- Marrow! - Jumping from one passage to another, Vine got to the other side of the Grimm and stretched out both arms, grabbed the monster's right arm and began to pull it.
Marrow saw Vine pull on the monster's rock arm, the real Grimm arm became visible, he took out his boomerang and severed the limb with a quick throw.
- Harriet! – Marrow belatedly noticed that an exploding purple Dust crystal was falling to the ground and he didn't have time to catch it, but his companion, whose speed is the Semblance, did.
Harriet didn't hesitate, she switched her Semblance to maximum and immediately ran towards the falling Dust, for her it was like everything was going in slow motion, she ran up one of the walls, jumped from there, caught Dust and arrived safely on one of the bridges.
Team RWBY, JNR and LLMM couldn't stop being amazed by the effectiveness of the Ace Ops.
- They should change their team name to King Ops, because they are so royal. - Lance and Ruby were no different.
Marrow's boomerang cut off the other half of the monster's half severed Grimm arm and another piece of exploding purple Dust fell out.
- Sh*t! - Unfortunately, there was no one to catch it, not even Harriet.
Luckily, Clover showed up at the last minute, at the right time and in the right place to catch the Dust.
- What would you do without me? - He just tossed the Dust to Qrow before jumping off the platform and joining his companions.
The Ace Ops jumped around or ran at the monster, which didn't know where to look with one hand and was hopelessly trying to stomp one of them to death, Vine pushed it, Harriet distracted it and while it tried to crush her, to no avail, Elm hit its remaining arm with her hammer, which weakened it enough for Marrow to cut it down as well.
Clover, after both of the monster's arms were cut off, jumped up onto a rock, and from there even higher, one in front of the Grimm's face, while jumping, he adjusted the pin of the quadriceps, which glimmered, then he threw the hook of his fishing rod at the Grimm's face and pulled a big one on it, pulling it out the creature's entire body from the rock and Harriet, activating her Semblance and the augmentation machines on her arms, jumped up and punched the Grimm in the face with such force that one blow was enough to kill it.
After the Grimm's destruction, the rock, ice and Dust's body began to disintegrate and more explosive Dust fell out of it, which they couldn't catch, since if even one fell to the ground, the whole place would fly into the air.
6 explosive Dusts were counted, Vine caught two, Elm and Marrow one each, Clover swung around the falling body and one, Harriet ran for the last one, but a pile of rose petals ran in front of her, along with Dust.
At the end of the hall, Ruby fell onto her bottom, hugging Dust and laughing.
- You said, - Harriet helped her up. – that your Semblance is like mine.
- Isn't it? - After putting Dust down safely, Ruby shook her head in confusion
- I've seen other speed-like Semblances before, but this is something else. - Harriet could see that Ruby hadn't developed her Semblance much yet. - I think you're capable of much more than you think.
- Just wait until she finds out what you can do with your eyes. - Yang whispered quietly to the team.
- Lucky catch, huh? - Qrow, also impressed by the Ace Ops' teamwork and skills, jumped down to join them.
- No, - Clover just put his hands on his hips proudly. - I would call this a talent. – While the rest of the team celebrated the victory, he spoke on his radio. - Atlas control, this is Clover. Mission successful.
The city under Atlas, Mantle was the poorer quarter of Atlas, where the less affluent lived, mostly faunus and the poor, who could only dream of one day moving up to the luxurious city floating above them.
Although the streets were dirty and disorderly, the military presence left its mark on the mood of the people. The people fear General Ironwood's soldiers and robots, which only made the Grimm who live in the frozen wasteland around the city more attracted.
The soldiers, of course, protected the city's residents as long as they could, but the fact that the government wasn't devoting time or resources to repairing the city walls or evacuating people from the more dangerous neighborhoods only increased the people's hatred towards the Atlas government.
Of course, this hatred was planned to be exploited by the three mysterious figures hiding in the crowd and the rain, who split as soon as they set foot in Mantle.
Wearing only a leather jacket to hide his new mechanical stinger and a hood against the rain, Tyrion turned left at an intersection.
Neo just opened and turned Hush in her hands, turning to the right with elegant steps.
Watts, holding a black umbrella in one hand and a handbag in the other, continued straight ahead.
Before turning away, Neo spotted 4 yellow rings on Watts' fingers that glowed slightly blue, which the doctor had only recently put on.
"I guess your rings don't just symbolize your crappy fashion sense?" Neo texted Watts.
- My little ones, they might not win your favor at first, - Watts stood by his rings. – but the advantage they will provide is undeniable.
- I think we need a permanent hiding place. – Tyrion also joined the conversation.
"I'm with the maniac, it would be better if there was a fixed point where we could gather."
- For the last time, - Watts was completely opposed to finding a hiding place to hide in. – a permanent hiding place would only be more noticeable.
- And if they see us? - Tyrion wasn't as confident as the Doctor. - What if they recognize us?
"I can disguise myself, but I doubt you can get away with it that easily."
- We stay on the move. - Watts emphasized his intention.
- We just walk around the city while thousands of eyes are watching. – Tyrion carefully pulled his hood over his face.
"It's about time you told me what those ugly rings you're so proud of can do.", Neo, although she could have transformed, she didn't want the cameras to pick her up, so she covered her face with Hush.
- Huh, - Watts just sighed disdainfully, while several car horns could be heard from his side. – while Atlas cyber security is ramping up on Atlas, the codes in Mantle haven't even been updated.
"So?"
- Just look up. - Watts said confidently as Neo poked his head out of Hush's blanket and saw the cameras on the street turn off. – I still have these codes, since I participated in their creation. I can control anything on the streets of Mantle with my rings and I would notice if a tracking device would be put on me.
- That seems useful. Tyrion laughed on the other side.
"So as long as we stay in Mantle and don't do anything stupid, we're invisible?"
- Exactly. - Corrected Watts.
- I think everyone has their own talent.
The conversation ended, Neo continued down the street alone and only one goal floated in front of her multi colored eyes.
