Bramble claw walked closer to the moon pool he was heading there to hopefully receive a message from his ancestors that made up the night sky what does this dream mean the dream in question involved his clan along with the members of river clan and some cats he didn't recognize along with a dog a owl a giant dog and a fox as well as lizard with wings as large as the dens two legs often lived in as he got closer to the moon pool he felt a strange sense of foreboding but it was to late to turn back now he was already there so he took a drink from the moon pool surface touched his nose to the water and lay down to start dreaming the next thing he knew he was in a lush green forest full of prey as he walked he eventually came across a black she cat and a reddish brown Tom both with green eyes the only thing off about them was that their pelts seemed to full of stars and they were almost transparent the pair began speaking to him when the sky runs red with blood the veil between the living and the dead shall be broken and evil shall rise unless the eight unite as one the bramble claw woke up to a forest in leaf bare covered in white snow as bramble claw got close to the cave that was his clans camp he headed straight for the medicine den to ask one of the two medicine cats leaf pool who just recently got her warrior name for finding the moon pool and recovering the connection with their ancestors or cinder pelt who trained leaf pool what their interpretation of his dream could be as he entered he saw leaf pool who was a small lithe pale brown she cat with amber eyes making a poultice of marigolds and comfrey and applying it to a orange she cat with one white paw she had a cut on one of her paw pads that she got from going out on patrol three days ago and wrapping the paw in a leaf of dock thanks leaf pool said the orange cat when leaf pool had finished wrapping the paw and she left so bramble claw told leaf pool about his dream from the moon pool she didn't seem to have any extra information so bramble claw the decided to go for a walk around the lake territory where he and his clan lived along with all of the other clan's lived to see if that would give him any answers as he got close to the the lake itself where the swimming and fishing clan known as river clan lived he came across what looked like the dog from his dream walking through the water he knew he had to approach the dog with caution since he had seen the damage a dog could do to a clan cat such as himself as he got he got closer to the dog he thought he heard the dog grumble to himself about something called a long paw and loud cages he stepped closer to the dog to see if he could help it and if not send it to the mountains within clan land so it could be rouge cats problem but as he got he could hear the dog bark stay back sharp claw or do you feel like having your pelt torn off. Lucky awoke with a start he had another dream in said dream he saw himself beside a army of sharp claws a owl whose face was covered by loud cage material a wolf a fox and what seemed to be a lizard with wings bigger than a long paw but the strangest thing was that it looked like they enjoyed being together lucky saw little chance of himself ever finding a group of friends or a pack of dogs ever again ever since he escaped from his first long paw den the first thing he noticed when he awoke was that he was in what seemed to be a small river he gave thanks to the spirit dogs for his luck most importantly the river dog he only wished his cage mate from the trap house the swift dog sweet was by his side perhaps he could have convinced her to become a lone dog like him when lucky bent his head down to get a drink he noticed the strong scent of a sharp claw perhaps one lived here in this area somewhere as he looked up from taking a drink of water he saw a sharp claw who had a pelt that reminded him of tree bark and eyes the color of honey that lucky sometimes found inside long paw spoil boxes he could tell just from looking at this sharp claw that this would not be a easy fight as the fight began with his usual tactic of rushing straight towards his enemy to frighten them the sharp claw spoke you have one chance dog either you leave this lake in peace or I will fight you to which lucky answered get ready to eat those words sharp claw only for the sharp claw to land on his back ripping off the fur off his back and then lucky for some unknown reason howled to the sun dog for guidance on how to deal with this sharp claw with as little damage as possible as the sharp claw approached for a second go at his back lucky lunged and hit the sharp claw with his weight but he over estimated his leap and both he and the sharp claw went rolling into the lake but just as lucky tried to hold down the sharp claw to drown it he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his paw and when he looked at his paw pad he saw that it was bleeding he growled his anger at the sharp claw who had come up from the water he would kill this sharp claw now for injuring him but then the sharp claw began to speak again which surprised lucky the first thing the sharp claw asked was what are you doing on river clan territory now lucky didn't understand what a river clan was but he did understand territory he introduced himself to the sharp claw and explained his situation to it and then the sharp claw introduced himself as bramble claw a warrior of thunder clan there was that word again lucky thought and then lucky asked bramble claw what a clan was and bramble claw explained that the lake area was divided into four territories each territory was ruled and guarded by a group of at least sixteen cats who were called warriors their apprentices who were young cat just old enough to leave the nursery the elders who were cats to old to do the duties of a warrior the medicine cats and their apprentices who use herbs and roots and berries as well as plants to heal other cats and communicate to with our ancestors in the night sky and lastly the leader and deputy who are the first and second in command of the clan and the leader was often given nine lives by star clan which made lucky curious to see what the thunder clan looked like and asked bramble claw to take him so he could see it to which bramble claw agreed to with some hesitation and warned him that not all of clan like or trusted dogs because a pack of dogs attacked their home once before now lucky could understand bramble claws apprehension to strike him first like most sharp claws in the city he once called home as they came across the camp of thunder clan it looked like a cave so smooth it must have been the work of long paws the first thing he came across was a gray cat with dark gray spots the first thing the new cat said was so it looks like the son takes after his father here to finish what the other pack started he said but then a orange female cat cam between lucky and the male cat she told the male cat who she named ash fur off by telling him to take his apprentice birch paw out for hunting practice and lucky quickly thanked the female cat for he quick save from ash fur and lucky then realized she wasn't completely orange she had one white paw she introduced herself as squirrel flight and said she was happy to deal with ash fur since he was always trying to fight her battles for her at first she liked it but now she was tired of it and then lucky asked her what ash fur meant by what he said and she told him the story of a male cat who upon description would look like bramble claw who almost completely destroyed something called the warrior code in the former forest home and one of the Tom's evil plans was to lead a pack of dogs to the former thunder clan camp with a trail of dead rabbits and once he was at the edge of the camp he killed ash furs mother so the dogs would gain a taste for cat blood if it had not been for the sacrifice of our former leader blue star the dogs would have killed all of thunder clan and then she saw heard the chant of the pack come out of squirrel flights mouth which scared lucky to his core the words were pack pack kill kill and then squirrel flight told lucky the Tom's name was tiger claw and the reason he and bramble claw looked similar was because tiger claw was his father and when lucky asked what happened to tiger claw squirrel flight explained then told him that tiger claw once tried to make a deal with a small black cat with one white paw who was the leader of a group of cats that called themselves blood clan named scourge and all of blood clan either had a collar fitted with dog teeth on their neck or had marks on their neck that looked like dog teeth and had dog teeth fitted to their claws but scourge decided he would rather kill tiger claw rather then accept his deal so he sliced tiger claws belly open lucky had heard enough of both of these murderous cats so he asked squirrel flight for no more information on the subject and then she led both lucky and bramble claw to a cave near the back of the camp where two other she cats were sorting through roots leaves herbs and seeds one of the cats seemed to be near the age of squirrel flight her fur was light brown with amber eyes and the other was a dark grey she cat who seemed to give off a aura of wisdom and experience even though she had a limp in one of her hind legs squirrel flight made a noise which made both cats look up from what they were doing and introduce themselves as leaf pool who was the sister of squirrel flight and her mentor cinder pelt the medicine cats of thunder clan then lucky noticed a pale orange and white she cat who seemed to have had half of her face scared and one ear missing when lucky went up to her at first she seemed a bit frightened by him but introduced herself as bright heart and quickly asked leaf pool to check one of her paw pads which lucky quickly sniffed out and remove for her leaf pool told bright heart to lick her paw and give it a good wash which bright heart did and then left the medicine cat cave for a sunny spot where two other white cats one sleek and thin the other big and fluffy leaf pool then told lucky that the white cats bright hearts mate and daughter the daughter is named white wing and her mates name is cloud tail then lucky saw a dark orange Tom cat with green eyes he was sitting on top of a pile of rocks and he said may all cats old enough to catch their own prey meet me underneath the high ledge for clan meeting and a total of forty to fifty cats came into the main part of the cavern and arranged themselves as close to the high ledge and the the orange Tom as possible and lucky could clearly see that this cat was the great leader fire star and as all of the cats sat down fire star spoke up as you may have heard we have a dog bramble claw has assured me this dog means you no harm to any cat as long as you don't harm him so please be courteous to him and answer any questions he has if he speaks to you now for morning patrols bramble claw,dust pelt, ash fur, and birch paw check the border with shadow clan white wing, cloud tail, bright heart, spider paw, and mouse fur check the area around river clan but be careful there may be two legs about searching for lucky our dog guests to which all the cats agreed to watch for two legs and then fire star said lastly me and sand storm and lucky will check the wind clan border if lucky agrees to travel with us lucky liked the idea of going off to see a new area so he gladly accepted fire stars offer and then fire star said now the rest of you all may go off to do your own things but I would like to see the fresh kill pile restocked before we get back and with that every cat went off to do their own thing and just as lucky was about to leave a light ginger she cat became squirrel flight and him and started asking her how her day has been going so far since lucky didn't sense any hostility between the two she cats he fell behind fire star with leaf pool beside him and the four cats and one dog set off for the wind clan territory and as they were leaving luck felt a strange sense that he was intruding on a family outing that the four cats had lucky was fascinated when he saw a flat expanse of gray and hills in front of him and fire star said this is the moor land that wind clan calls home and lucky was amazed to see all the rabbits running everywhere more than he had seen in his whole life and lucky was almost tempted to go chase them to see if he could catch one but then a black cat with blue eyes came charging at lucky and said touch on hair on those rabbits and I'll shred your fur off and use it as bedding in my nest lucky didn't know this cat but he was sure he didn't like his attitude and just as he was about to start fighting with the newcomer squirrel flight jumped between them and started talking to the new cat who she introduced as crow feather one of the cats who was responsible for finding the home by the lake after two legs destroyed forest home to make something called a highway and lucky explained to crow feather about why he was there and crow feather apologized as well which was a shock to squirrel flight and crow feather explained that he thought lucky was of the two legs dogs that live on the farm near the wind clan camp since he looks similar to one so lucky made up his mind to check out the farm later on for himself just to see if this dog that looked like him might be one of his puppy pack his brothers and sisters who he had not seen since his abusive long paw that smelled of the bad liquid took him away from them but for now he would stay with his new friends in thunder clan the rest of the patrol went off with out any problems as they made their way back to camp which when they returned was bustling with commotion and energy but the thing lucky saw that sparked his interest was on a pile of rocks with the sun setting on them were two cats one was a older looking pale ginger she cat the other was a young looking Tom with black stripes and a long tail and as lucky approached the rock pile so he could introduce himself the Tom quickly sat up and started hissing at him but the she cat calmed him down by gently putting her tail on on his shoulder and introduced herself as golden flower and the Tom beside her as long tail lucky then asked golden flower why she had to talk to long tail and why he wasn't sent out hunting to which golden flower explained that a rabbit had blinded long tail a long time ago and lucky started to feel sorry for the for the Tom and then he noticed birch paw and spider paw come up each with a mouse in their jaws and drop them in front of golden flower and long tails paws when lucky asked why they did that golden flower explained that was apart of the duties of apprentice to check the older cats for ticks and bring them fresh kill from the pile how do they get rid of ticks you might ask well they use a liquid we get from mice called bile which is stored in the medicine den the ticks hate the smell of it and they let go the more he talked with the cats the more he could see himself getting used to clan life but first thing first he had to go see the farm on wind clan territory to see if he really did have family there which would give lucky even more of a reason to stay so once all of thunder clan was asleep he headed for the cave exit only encountering birch paw who said he was having a hard time sleeping and asked to join lucky who liked the idea of the company but as the two were leaving for the farm lucky swore he could hear a sneering voice call him a city dog which was true since he had lived on the street and survived off of long paw waste ever since he had escaped the long paws now that he was truly wild he now had a deeper respect for wild dogs especially old hunter a dog who tried to train him to hunt rabbits and as he was making his way to the sheep farm he and birch paw built a budding friendship as he was going through the river clan wet land on his way to wind clans moor land he saw a golden tabby she cat with spots on her fur who introduced herself as leopard star the leader of river clan and lucky introduced himself and explained that he actually wound up in her river originally before bramble claw found him and he started to live in thunder clan and that he was only heading for the farm on wind clan camp and birch paw apologized for not waiting for a patrol to come by but leopard star said all was forgiven and wished lucky luck in finding his family by say may star clan light your path and with that lucky and birch paw were on their way to the farm with a short stop at a horse barn near the farm itself the two female cats were kind to birch paw and lucky but the one male cat was not he kept trying to push birch paw outside so lucky left and birch paw left before the Tom cat became more upset and as they crossed the slope onto the farm itself they came across a wind clan patrol with crow feather in the lead a new female cat who lucky had never seen before barred her fangs at him and birch paw and said what are you doing here but crow feather and another she cat got in between them and said night heart calm down this dog has nothing to do with us he just wants to see the dogs at the sheep farm and the other female cat who was a gray she cat with a Broad face said sorry for night heart she's just a old flea pelt who is stuck in her ways my name is ash foot and I am the mother of crow feather and lucky said a pleasure to meet you mam my name is lucky and I actually encountered crow feather earlier today now if you'll excuse us we are heading to the farm now and with that the cat and dog left and as he finally got close enough to smell the farm scent he picked up a scent he almost thought he would never smell again it was the scent of his sister yap as he entered the yard he heard a threatening barking come from the house and a herding dog came out quickly and pinned lucky to the ground and growled at him .
