Ch 5

"Okay Mikey," Donnie said as he poured the smaller blue eyed turtle another glass of wine, "Looks like everything is all set, we have the wedding all taken care of along with the invitations," He poured himself a drink, picked up the glass and the two clinked glasses, "The cruise is all set up and we got the honeymoon suite at the hotel on the mountains,"

"Tuxedo rentals are all set too," Mikey told him as he made a check on a notepad, "And I've got the rings." He smiled happily at Donnie, "I do love it when plans come together," He sighed and laid his shell back against the sofa, "Now we just wait one more month and then it's Mr. and Mr. Genio-Hamato."

Donnie grinned, "I do like the sound of that."

He leaned back next to Mikey and picked up a remote. He pointed it at the TV making the screen come to life with a soft glow. He then pointed the remote at the DVD player and started up their movie from yesterday.

"Now I say we relax and finish watching our movie," He placed the remote on the end table while Mikey picked up a bowl of popcorn and placed it on his lap. He sighed and snuggled into the arm Donnie had placed around his shoulder.

"I do enjoy these nice quiet evenings at home," Mikey muttered as he turned his attention to the TV.

BANG!

"Which seems to be a rarity these days," Donnie muttered as he and Mikey turned to see Leo once again storming into the house.

"Uh," Mikey stood up nervously, "Hi ya Leo; how was your date?"

"Did you have fun?" Donnie asked as Leo turned blazing eyes on them.

"No, I did not have fun!" Leo all but screamed at them.

Mikey backed away from him, "Ummm," He looked at Donnie, "Wanna tell us what happened?"

Leo took a deep breath and sat on the couch, "I met up with this guy, Raphael," He pulled up his phone and showed them Raph's picture and profile.

"What's wrong with this guy?" Donnie asked, "He looks big and strong and sounds a lot like you."

"Well maybe he sounds like me but he's not!" Leo snatched his phone away, "It turns out he was a big phony!"

"Gosh Leo," Mikey sat next to his brother, "What happened?"

"First he gets me on this death trap of a motorcycle," Leo rolled his eyes, "I thought we would go out to a nice restaurant, maybe go for a walk or something afterwards," Leo ran his hands over his suit that was now covered with dirt and hay dust, "But instead he takes me to this steak place where he expected me to eat a large piece of meat that was barely cooked! Then I'm forced onto this mechanical bull and made to ride it!"

"Wow!" Mikey looked at Leo with eyes shimmering, "That sounds like fun!"

"Well it wasn't," Leo angrily told him, "It was humiliating! It was downright degrading! It was…."

"Exhilarating?" Donnie looked at him expectantly.

"Thrilling?" Mikey laughed.

"Come on Leo," Donnie laughed, "Are you seriously telling us that you didn't enjoy yourself?"

"How long did you manage to stay on the bull?" Mikey asked eagerly.

Leo huffed, crossed his arms and turned away from them, "6.2 seconds," He muttered.

"Wow Leo," Mikey threw his arm around him, "That's incredible!"

"It's hard enough for people to stay on those things for eight seconds let alone six," Donnie agreed.

"I think you had more fun than you're letting on," Mikey teased, "I think you just don't want to admit it."

Leo turned toward him angrily, "That is not true!" He shouted, "I hated every minute of it and tomorrow I'm going to speak with your Professor Honeycutt and tell him I'm no longer interested in using his services!"

As Leo made his way toward his room, Splinter came out of his. "What is all the noise about this time?" He asked as he heard the sound of a door slamming.

Mikey sighed and sat back on the couch, "Leo came home in a rage again, Sensei," He told the rat.

"Oh, did he have a date with Karai again?" Splinter asked as he slowly stroked his beard, "I thought he had used this Mutant R' Us dating service?"

"He did," Donnie said, "But he wasn't happy with who he got as a date."

"He's going to talk to the Professor tomorrow and tell him he no longer wants to use his services," Mikey said as he took a handful of popcorn.

"Hmmm," Splinter shook his head, "Sometimes I think you young people put too much emphasis on finding the right mate."

"What do you mean Master Splinter?" Mikey asked.

"You are all still young," Splinter pointed out, "You should be enjoying life and just take some time to find the right person, there is no need to rush into anything." He looked at his youngest with a gentle smile, "Unless of course you have already found him."

Mikey nudged Donnie and the two smiled at each. Then, while Splinter went to make himself some tea, the two turtles went back to their movie.

The next morning, Leo called the dating service.

"Good morning, Mutants R' Us dating service, Professor Honeycutt speaking," Came the cheery voice over the phone.

"Hello Professor, this is Leonardo Hamato," Leo began, "I would like to talk to you about my date last night."

"Ah yes, Mr. Hamato, I'm so glad you called," the Professor stated in an apologetic voice, "I have already been told the details of your date last night from Mr. Raphael Jones and I do owe you an apology as well as an explanation."

Leo startled upon hearing what the Professor said, "Um, okay, what explanation?"

"Could you please come down here and I'll tell you everything."

A half hour later, Leo found himself parking in front of the building. As he made his way to the door, he noted Raph's motorcycle parked on the side of the building. "Great, Raph's here," Leo thought drily, "Now I'll have to apologize to him too for walking out on him." Leo sighed and walked up to the door, "Might as well just get this over with." He told himself as he reached a hand out to open the door. As he walked into the building, he saw Raph walking out of Professor's Honeycutt's office.

"Hi ya Leo!" Raph called out in a cheery voice, "How ya doing this morning?"

"Hi Raph," Leo waved to him, "I'm doing good; um, how have you been?"

Raph smiled down at him, "Not too bad," He pulled out his cell phone and Leo noted the larger turtle had a new profile picture from the dating service, "I've been hooked up with the right turtle this time," He laughed, "I'm sure the Professor has you all taken care of too," He pointed toward the door, "He'll explain what happened, it's kind of a hoot when ya think about it," He looked at Leo in amusement as the blue eyed turtle looked away from him.

"I can't wait to hear it," Leo muttered then cleared his throat, "Look Raph," Leo said, turning to face him, "I just want to apologize for yesterday, I shouldn't have just walked out on you like that," he started to pull out his wallet, "And if you don't mind, I'd like to pay you for half of the meal."

"Put your money away Leo," Raph told him with a shake of his head, "None of that food went to waste and you don't have to apologize," Raph told him quietly, "If anything I um," He rubbed the back of his head, "Well, I should apologize to you, I didn't mean to put you on the spot like that but I really thought you would enjoy riding the bull."

Leo looked at Raph quizzically, "Wait a minute Raph, did you do something to make me win that raffle?" Leo smiled upon seeing Raph blush; he had to admit it was kind of cute.

"Like I said, I thought you would have enjoyed the ride so, uh, yeah," He admitted, "I kinda slipped Mr. Arboost an extra five to have him call your number," He chuckled and averted his eyes, "I've done it before with other dates so whenever I bring someone new, they just expect it now," His look sobered when he turned back to Leo, "But I'm sorry if I ruined the night for you."

"Oh no Raph, you didn't ruin the night," Leo quickly told him, "I, um, have to admit," Leo ducked his head slightly, "I did actually kind of have fun," he smiled when he thought back on how Donnie and Mikey reacted, "It just took me a while to realize it."

The two turtles shared a laugh, "Well," Raph started toward the door, "In that case, if ya want ta may be someday get together and grab a beer or something?"

Leo nodded, "Sure Raph, I would like that," He pointed to Raph's phone, "Provided your new date doesn't mind."

"Until I see where things go with my dates, I don't count on them minding anything," Raph told him with a wink.

Leo nodded and watched as Raph walked out the door. A moment later Professor Honeycutt walked out of his office, "Ah, Mr. Hamato," He reached his hand out, "Glad to see you again and I do apologize for what happened," He ushered the turtle into his office, "I do hope it wasn't too trying for you?"

Leo smiled slightly, "No Professor," He told him, "It wasn't that bad at all." Leo took a seat across from his desk, "But I am anxious to hear how it happened."

"Ah yes," Honeycutt sat in his chair and leaned back against the cushion, "It turned out my secretary is the reason for your date last night," He began with a shake of his head, "The agency she worked for advised me that she had been taking our clients records home with her and was attempting to steal their identities. They fired her that Friday night," He sighed sadly, "So when she came in the morning you came in, I had already told her she needed to pack her things and not return, unfortunately she decided to play around with my computer and some of the files before she left and…" He waved his hands in exasperation, "The rest you know."

Leo chuckled, "Well, as long as everything is okay," He told him, "I'm willing to give this dating service another try."

"Oh I'm so glad to hear you say that," Honeycutt pulled out a folder from the top drawer of his desk, "Because I think this turtle is just right for you."

Leo took the folder and flipped through it, after a moment he sighed and handed it back to the professor, "Still no female turtles?"

"The information I put in was correct," The professor told him, "The secretary just switched the pictures."

Leo nodded, "Okay," He finally said as he stood to leave, "I'll give this one more chance."

"Very good," Honeycutt pushed a button on his computer, "I've sent the information to your email."

Leo pulled up his cell just as a ding was heard; he opened up the email and looked over the profile of a forest green turtle, much like his skin coloring, dressed in blue shirt and blue jeans. The name on the profile was Grayson Sharp. Leo closed his phone and waved to the Professor, "Bye for now Professor," he told him as he stepped out of his office.

"Goodbye Leonardo," The professor called after him, "And good luck."

'Good luck he says,' Leo chuckled as he walked toward his car, 'Well why not? I'm sure I am going to need it.'
