This is a collection of five vignettes that allow the reader to decide which Cartwright is the central character. You are free to picture your favorite Cartwright in each scenario or look for the nuances that might reveal each character's identity. Be warned that much remains a mystery and proceed only if that strikes your fancy.

This is a collection of vignettes written for some challenges on a Bonanza site in 2012. Each challenge was generated by the first line of a novel. The quote and source are used to title each piece. They have a broad range of themes, and some are AU.

It has been many years since Jamie Hunter Cartwright was adopted by Ben Cartwright of the famous Ponderosa Ranch. Jamie is now married to his beloved Neta. They have two beautiful teenage children a Daughter Gracie Anne, and a son “Jamie Thomas Benjamin” after his Father and Grandfather. While recovering from a traumatic shooting incident Gracie Anne becomes wild then pregnant.

Part 2 of the Ivy Cartwright Series-In which typhus rips through the town of Virginia City and as usual the Cartwrights get dragged into the drama. Based of a Little House On The Prairie in Season 1-Plague.

Charles LaDuke is a lot more devious than he lets on and unable to get Ben on murder charges he instead kidnaps his youngest son and is never seen again. Joseph Cartwright is never seen again either at least until Adam hires a new hand and his motherless children (by accident).

WHN for 'The Hunter'. Tanner leaves a greater mark than any of the Cartwrights are willing to admit. When a madman marks you as a target, how do you manage to escape? Only Joe Cartwright knows the answer to that question- and he's not telling.

The next in my AU of the Cartwright family. The boys' lives continue to develop with all the joy and sadness of a typical life. Their father remains the center of the Ponderosa.

In this mini-story, a young Hoss's nocturnal visit leads to a discussion with his pa.

While carrying on with his post-bellum life, Adam comes to realize that a 'companion' is as necessary as breathing to survive. Adult language, adult situations and semi-graphic sex.

Marie is assaulted and her brothers set out to avenge her. T for moderate violence.

There's no difference between a romance and a tragedy- it's just a matter of time before one turns into the other.

This is the love story of Hoss and Laura Cartwright. She is the daughter of an old friend of Ben's and has the biggest crush on Hoss. They end up falling in with each other when she was young but sadly, she moved back to California with her father and sister. But now Laura is all grown up and excited to get back to the Ponderosa. There will be hints of actual episodes mixed in.

Adam finds that he does not always get to decide what is Marie's or Hoss's business in this short slice-of-life story.
